The sound of paper pages being turned with care, or rummaged through with great speed, was one of the few sounds audible in the library. The noise of ‘dragons clearing their throats or being subject to dust allergies were part of the symphony, accompanied by the sound of ‘dragons shuffling in their seat or moving from seat to shelf in attempt to find the book and information that they were looking for. There was an unwritten rule that silence had to be held in a library, when in fact it was only to keep quiet. Nevertheless, Kokuteju hated the library. She enjoyed spending her time in the company of people that would be willing to engage in conversation with her and would make some noise. It was, perhaps, ironic that her boyfriend was most likely to be found lurking in the depths of the library somewhere. Regardless, she enjoyed his company, but she’d rather not have to enjoy it in the pressured silence of the library. Even waiting for his arrival was beginning to bore her.

The white feydragon sighed and stretched out across the table that she was sat at, earning her an irritable look from the taller pendragon seated across from her. Takonas, with his highlighter green fur and the bright neon orange and pink hair, was sight that was hard to focus on for long. As such, Koku averted her purple eyes away from him and towards the cover of the book that her friend was reading. The title was something too complicated for her to work out but, from what she could decipher from the rest of the cover, it was something to do with photography.

<span style='color:#CCCCFF'>“’Konas, I’m bored,"</span> Informed the feydragon, not bothering to keep her voice to an acceptable level. The male ‘dragon winced as the level of noise had been broken and then shot her what was a disapproving, but somewhat understandable, look. They’d come to find Mich, guessing that if he wasn’t in his dorm he’d be in the library, but they’d had no luck so far in finding him and had instead chosen to sit and wait. Restless and adventurous as she was, Koku could not wait and was itching to go somewhere else.

<span style='color:#66FF33'>“He’ll be here soon, I’m sure,"</span> Replied the neon ‘dragon, turning his brilliant blue eyes back to his book. <span style='color:#66FF33'>“Have a little patience. Try and find somebody else to annoy in the meantime, eh?" </span>

Koku rolled her eyes, but leant back in her chair and glanced around the surrounding area. Even if Mich didnÂ’t show up next, maybe there would be somebody interesting enough to devote her precious time to them.

  2. He slipped through the endless shelves of books like a vicious shark, hazel eyes flickering as they scanned the territory they knew so well for the perfect book to bury his nose into. He finally found it, and a smile slid over the blue pendragon's lips. He snatched it from the shelf like a predator stealing it's prey from safety. He pendragon looked at it through his glasses, and after quickly brushing his bright green hair out of his eyes, slipped the book under his arm.

With a grunt, Mich almost fell over, so he quickly tossed the pile of books he was carrying into both his arms. The tall 'dragon was almost falling backwards, but he didn't let that bother him - he was obviously used to this. With that, he managed to glance through the space left in the bookshelf by that last book. Slwoly, his face slid into a grin, and he walked on.

Barely second later, there was a thump on the desk that the two dragons were sitting at and the whole table seemed to rock with the impact of the books falling. The pendragon smiled at his best friend and girlfriend, before sitting down with a grin. The 'dragon had been a bit more cheerful in the past few weeks, due to him finally getting the girl of his dreams - the pretty Koku. He smiled warmly at her, before saying, <span style='color:green'>"Koku, how often do you come into the library anyway? You're always telling me to get out of it!"</span>

Salme stood with her back pressed firmly against a shelf, her twin tails still. She lifted a paw to her cap, pulling the bill in the back further down. She tenced bracing herself, then, her head swiveled around the corner of the bookcase and was back comfortably atop her body before you could spell I. As she withdrew her head, however, her muzzle hit the edge of the bookcase and she let out a reflexive gasp. She spent the next several minutes remaining quiet, waiting to see if there was any adverse reaction. Nothing happened.

She sidled along a bookcase with her back firmly against the wood, staring down anyone who passed through this particular isle with an iron will. Her head flicked around another corner. She was a hawk, or a stoat, looing for its prey...ready to pounce. She knew there were at least three targets somewhere, hiding among the bookshelves. Of course none of them would dare stand out in the open in one of the fields, where the tables and students lounged, they would all be hiding in the tall grasses of the shelves. In their little nooks and crannies. She watched across the field through a slit in the books...watching...and then, YES!

Across the room, a student had come out of an isle looking back behind her at something that seemed to cause her grave confusion. This could only be her prey...hiding ever so inconspicuously. But of course, by the time she managed to stalk her way over, her prey would have moved. She took a round about aproach, circling around the fringes of the field, closing in. As she made her approach, she decided that going out in the field for a moment was best, for then there would be more trees to obscure her from her prey. She crawled along the floor near a group of tables. Scurying quicker across the spaces between shelves, and sidling slowly along the shelves themselves.

What Salme did not know, was that her friends had long given up their game and had gone to lunch. Salme had been prowling the library alone for an hour now. The girl in the isle looked confused because there had been three different books with the same title that her teacher had instructed her class to get. Salme was just an idiot.
