He admired her? Was she misunderstanding? Yes, that was it. He was merely talking about the professional sense. That was it. "Crazy, just plain crazy... Okay, where was there a pencil? She would stab herself in the brain, that would stop the insanity. "I'm not quite comfortable testing on mammals just yet. I feel bad enough for the plants... If anyone's brave, or just plain stupid, enough to visit me when they're sick I can treat them with some of my more... imaginative creations." Kat grinned over at him. "Or I could just use the ones that are proven to work.... which most people would probably prefer. She laughed quietly and looked ahead. The dorms were coming up quickly. "Purgatives... I thought we were smarter than that." Was her brain talking to her? Actually talking TO HER? She was insane, she had some disorder, what was hapening to her?! Purgatives... That really hadn't been the best choice of words.

"I wouldn't. I could trust you with my life... STOP. This inappropriate, inacceptable and completely uncalled for. Is not. Is too. Is not !" Great. Now he was have a childish debate with, lo and behold, himself. What next? Flying sandwiches!? Romantic Alchemists? He was definitely going mad. What he needed was a beaker. Yes, a nice big, glassy beaker of the breakable kind, to smash against his forehead. Perhaps that would break some sense into him. Great. Now he was having suicidal thoughts. Would this craziness ever stop? He had to do something, and do it quick or he would definitely go crazy. "I think your flower is slipping", he told her, as matter-of-factly as he could. Then, leaning once again, he found himself tucking the pretty thing right behind her ear. The pretty thing which, truth be told, hadn't needed to be re-adjusted. He lingered a few moments more than he should have, and giving in to a sudden impulse, dropped an ever so slight kiss upon her purple tresses. Quickly pulling away with the realisation of what he had just done, of the crime he had just commited, Nubajek dearly hoped his last action had gone unnoticed. Even though, try as he might, he couldn't bring himself to regret it. Now that had been... "Weird." "... And inappropriate, inacceptable and definitely uncalled for." his brain finished for him.

Heat flooded every inch of Kat's body... mostly her face, but certainly every inch of the rest of her as well. She swallowed hard and hoped that if she pretended nothing had happened her mind could go back to thinking of lunch. Katrina grinned. "Thank you," she said looking up into those lovely, wonderful, sparkling green eyes. Now what she was thanking him for not even she knew. Perhaps it was a little mixture of gratitude for fixing her flower and for simply touching her again. But he had kissed her. "No, he slipped," her mind informed her. Yes that was it. She had just met him afterall. Nubajek was intelligent, he knew this couldn't happen. Yes, Nub was smart, and funny, and awfully attractive.... "Oh goodness, you're a hopeless case. Just don't be upset when you can't concentrate on your work. I give up." She had won! Or had she? In any case, the little battles in her head were no more. Now she could concentate on something different, something logic and science had no place in. Maybe, just maybe this could work. Smiling, Kat slipped her hand from her new friend's arm and intertwined her fingers with his. His paw was so very nice, despite the chemical burns. The smile was still there. She was convinced that the smile would stay there forever, or just as long as she was near him. Good thing her mind had given in.

"Look what you've gone and done now. How embarrasing. She's probably noticed too, and she'll never want to see you again, let alone speak to you, you lovesick nioti, you. She'll probably leave any minute now... " chided the reasonable, unromantic part of him, that had, before today, always had the upper hand. But she didn't. She didn't stop speaking to him. "Thank you", were the soothing words he heard instead. And she didn't leave him, quite the opposite. His dark features went purple as he felt her paw search, find and interwine with his. With the deep blush that crept over his face, came tremendous relief and happiness, along with with a smile to rival hers. And such a beautiful smile she had... "Not the beautiful smile thing again? Puh-lease. That's it. I give up. The next time you here of me will be when I say "I told you so". I hope you do know what yaou're giving up? Does the word bachelor ring any bells? And Alchemy? Studies?" accused Reason. "Yes. And also loneliness." reminded its not-so-reasonable counterpart, whom he had never suspected of existing. And with that, the prosaic part of him gave in, grudgingly admitting defeat. Now, with his mind at peace and free of battle, Nubajek found the courage to speak to her once more, "You know, I've been thinking, I'm the luckiest 'dragon, to have met as wonderful a 'dragon as you... And in such an, unexpected manner, too", he added allowing himself a discrete wink, "And I do hope we shall see more of each other, after today?" he fnished, his heart as hopeful as his tone.

The blush subsided from her face as she looked up at him. "If you can stand my cooking," Kat said with a chuckle. "I don't think even I could ruin a sandwich though." She laughed again, feeling quite comfortable with Nubajek now. His words rang in her head. " '...as wonderful a 'dragon as you...' " She half-expected the reasonable part of her brain to fuss, but no, it had given up. The broad grin was still plastered on her face. She looked up into his eyes again and thought that this just might work. "I'm free tomorrow afternoon after classes," Katrina replied simply, hoping that he had nothing to do either. ((OOC: Um... I can't think very creatively at the moment, so this short little post will just have to do.))
"Tomorrow? I believe I am free as well..." "You're probably not", muttered Reason to itself, but Nub's attention was focused on what he was saying. "Perhaps we could meet at the gymnasium? I know for a fact it'll be free tomorrow, and perhaps you could teach me how to fight?" he said jokingly, silently adding to himself "And hopefully I won't make a complete fool of myself if I ever try and show her some Aerobatic moves..." "Unless, of course, you have better plans?"
"No no... no plans," Katrina said smiling still. When would she ever stop smiling? Probably never, but she smiled all the time anyway. "Actually I should probably spend more time practicing than I do." She laughed a little and squeezed his paw. "I'd be happy to try and teach you what I can." She was just about to ask him when he would like to meet when her stomach gave a loud gurgle. A quick glance at her tummy told her that it was time to eat and a quick glance in front of her told her that they had arrived at the dorms. "I'm in room 307," she informed him, looking up at the entrance to the building before them. ((OOC: Do you suppose it's time to move the thread to the Dorms? I mean.. seeing as how they're AT the dormrooms...))
OOC: Ok, sure, d'you want to start a thread there? BIC: "I guess i'm not the only hungry 'dragon around here" he laughed, smiling back. "To the dorm it is. Hopefully I won't act like a complete nimcompoop. Or a lovesick nioti for that matter...", thought Nub, as they both entered her room, paw in paw.
((OOC: Yeah, I'm about to post in the dorms. I'll title it the same thing, 'Being Lazy'... Just for simplicity's sake.))
