Amaranth did consider that for a moment. Then she thought Stryx was probably just trying to be funny. She finished washing her hair and stepped out of the tub. She grabbed a towel out of one of the cabinets and wrapped it around herself. Mara shuffled out of the bathroom and grabbed a pair of black pants she had written song lyrics and some other various things on, and a form fitting black t-shirt. She had thorwn out most of her shirt that were too big for her when she decided to come to school since walking around in a giant t-shirt wouldn't be too cool if she had a female room mate. She scuttled back over to the bathroom and changed. She left her hair up in the bun and walked back out and fell backwards on her bedspread. Mara leaned over the side, searching for her carton of cigarettes. When she finally found them, she grabbed her lighter off the ground and lit it up. She laid there tapping her foot in the air to the beat of Stryx's music. She finally spoke, not really caring what the answer to this question would be. "Anybody else feel like pizza?"
Stryx's one-track mind instantly picked up the work "pizza", even over the deafening noise of his cd-player. He tugged the headphones down so they hung arounf his neck and took another swig from the bottle in his hand, still able to hear the music perfectly. "Pizza sounds fucking awesome, I havn't eaten a damn thing since last night," he chirped, "and even then, I'm not sure wheither stale pretzels count as food." he added with a small grimace. ANother mouthful of alcohol disappeared down his throat. He set the partially full bottle down on the floor beside his bed and wriggled out of his hoodie. The dark article of clothing hit the floor in a rustle of heavy fabric, before his foot shoved it under the bed. Stryx shoved his hand into one of his pants pockets, jingling loose change and a set of keys. Pulling out the latter, he sneered. "Figured I'd only find the little shits now." He grabbed the metal objects with his teeth, and resumed searching through his pocket. Stryx produced from it a few crumpled bills and a handful of coins, placing them on the bed beside him . "There's my contribution, need more I'll have ta find my wallet." he mumbled around the keys. He took the keys out of his mouth and fished out a small metal chain from, yet another, pocket. Threading the chain through the key ring, he clipped it around his neck. "You little bugger's arn't going anywhere now, are yeh?" he smirked, jingling the chain, before tucking it under his shirt.
Can u guys wait for me too post a bit lol...i only get on at nite... Chill sighed. He went over to the door and began prodding it, then fixing it. "Pizza' sounds fine" he said taking the cooler from Stryx. "Sorry if I was being an ass before, I kinda just got dumped" he said. He normally wasn't so pissy, but sometimes he had mood changes. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a 20 then handed it to Mara.
Out of Character

Yeah, I work during the day anyway. So I have no problem waitin'.

Mara gave him a look. "Take half this back.. Pizza ain't that much the last time I checked." she broke his twenty and handed him back the rest. She took some money out of her bag and walked back to the bathroom to search for her cell. She had dropped it and fell on it so many times, but the damn thing never did break. She sighed and dialed the phone number, and ordered them a couple of pizzas. Whatever they didn't eat would be leftovers. She gave him her number and the room number and hung up as the guy was saying "thank you".She threw her beat up phone on the bed and sat down on the floor. She blew some smoke out of her nose. "15 minutes." she said taking another drag. Mara looked over at Chill after a bit and smiled."Everyone's an ass at heart." , she said through the cigarette in her mouth.
He grinned at Mara. He took a sip of his cooler. Food would be good. His old bitch never feed him. She hit him all the time, but he knew not too hit a girl. So today, he just fucking took his stuff and walked out. "Hey, I got a hang over so i'ma gonna take a nap, wake me up wen da pizza's here" he said laughing. He jumped onto his bed and closed his eyes.
"Meh, everyone's an ass, just depends on if you're a huga-ass-ass, or just a wee-lil'-ass." Stryx said into his bottle. "What kinda pizza did yeh get?" he asked Mara, swishing the redish liquid around. "As long as there ain't no fucking fish on it's fine with me though." he took a quick sip, "And I hope they actually put what you asked for on it, last time I ordered a damn pizza the fucktards completly fucked up my order." he grumbled. He could already feel the relativly mild alcohol beginning to slightly dull his senses. He sighed quietly and played with the studs in his mouth. The light on the ceiling hummed slightly, and flickered every few minutes. It would be just their luck if the bulb went out. Focusing on the bulb gave him a sort of detached, floaty feeling, and he unintentionally started zoning; staring at the light without moving or blinking.
"Pepperoni and supreme." she said as smoke escaped her lips. "I was hoping this guy I know would answer the phone, but I just got damn some kid." she muttered. "Atleast I knew that guy wouldn't fuck up the order." Mara put her cigarette out in the ashtray by her bed. She rolled off her bed, grabbed a beer, and sat next to Stryx. She took a drink as they sat there in a awkward silence. She looked up at the ceiling, then back down at him. He was staring at the light without blinking. "That probably isn't too good for you're eyes." ,she said taking another drink. The doorbell rang. She sighed and grabbed onto the bed post behind them and stood up. She swung the door open, only to find her old friend standing there. Forgetting that he had their pizzas in his hand, she jumped into his arms. The pizzas fell on the floor, but they fell on the bottoms, so she wasn't worried about them too much. After she let go of him, he gave her a flower. She cocked her eyebrow when he said "he'd found it on the way here". Meaning he probably took it out of someone's garden. She gave him a kiss on the cheek, picked up the pizzas, and shut the door. She poked Chill with her finger. "Food's here."
Stryx only grunted in answer to Mara's comments. The light was just too compelling, it was like he was a moth and the light was, well, a light. All noise, even the loud music his headphones were pumping out around his neck was muffled, distant, like hearing things through a thick wall or door. He sighed slightly, chest slowy falling as the air was squeezed from his lungs, then rising again. Electricity has always fascinated him, the raw power, the versitility. Even so, it had been a small surprise when he had taken to electrokenisis so well. He had, and always would be a water lover. His body was built for swimming, strong and lithe, hell, even his digits were slightly webbed. His nictating membranes slid up over his eyes, rehydrating them as they began to dry out, shutting out his vision momentairily, like the shutter of a camera. The blink seemed to shatter his moment of peace, sound rushing back to his ears, now sounding perfectly normal. Stryx broke out of his thoughts to pull his goggles up from around his head, and settle them over his eyes. Now the world had taken on a red-orange hue, everything from the light to the ceiling surrounding it. He sighed and tucked his right arm behind his head. He quickly chugged the last of his drink, then dropped the empty bottle onto the floor beside his bed.
Mara grabbed a piece of pizza out of the box and jumped on her bed and hung off of the side upside down eating and watching Stryx stare up at the ceiling. To her it was just a white plastered ceiling. Maybe he found it more interesting. She finshed her pizza in a few bites and sat now finding herself staring at the ceiling too. The next time she looked down Stryx had his goggles on. She cocked her eyebrow. "Cool specs." she said getting up and grabbing a couple of pieces of pizza. She walked up to him and bend down to look at him in the eyes. "Do I look funny in um?" she asked offering him a piece.
Stryx stared at the person now blocking his view. The smooth glass of the goggles dyed her face a bright crimson to his view. He smiled, "Naw... But you might want ta get that rash checked out." He smirked, accepting the slice. He pulled of a hunk of the toppings and lowered them into his mouth. The cheese was nice and stringy and the sauce was nice, not to bland and not to spicy. "T'anks again." he said around his mouthful of pizza. "'O was da guy?" he asked, his brain only now recognizing that someone had been here. He swallowed his mouthful, savoring the warm, cheesy food. He took a large bite out of the end of the slice, nearly fitting half the piece of pizza into his mouth. Stryx was starving, and the small taste of food he had just given his stomach made it to growl loudly. He scarfed his piece in a few more bites, or rather, gulps.
Chill got up out of bed, mostly out of hunger, but also to see Mara. He had a strange attraction to her. He smiled at the two and took a slice of pizza. He wolfed it down, then took a beer from his bag. "Damn this is good pizza" he said smiling at Mara.
Mara kicked him in the shin. "Ha ha." she said sarcastically. She tanding back up straight walking back over to the table. She looked over at Chill. "Pft. I didn't make this. I can't cook worth shit. They have a great pizza makin' dude though." , she said with a mouth full of pizza. She swallowed. "That pizza guy was a kid I grew up with." she said answering Stryx's question. She sat on the table and sipped her beer. "He's my complete oppisite. Real quiet and shy. Doesn't drink.. And he disapproves severely of my smokin'." Mara jumped off the table and handed Stryx and Chill another slice before jumping butt first onto her bed.
Chill took a sip of his beer and ate another slice of pizza. He grinned at her. "Sorry bout that mark on your carpet, i'll fix it up".
Stryx laughed dispite the sudden pain in leg. "Where ever the hell you ordered this from, they make good pizza." He grabbed the offered slice and wolfed it down. He licked the last remnants of sauce from his fingers before speaking again. "So where did ja' grow up?" he asked, smacking his lips and propping himself up on a couple of pillows. He gave Chill a strange look, the guy had started to act scarily nice all of a sudden. It was kinda...creepy in a way, especially when seeing him through the color-tinted glass of his goggles. "Uh, Chill, you feelin' okay man?" he asked, resting his chin on his hands and raising an eyebrow.
Chill looked at him. He was only being nice for the lady, not the fucking other dude. He didn't give a shit about him. "Yeah, i'm fine"
Amaranth pointed to her left because her mouth was so full of pizza. "Vat way.", she said her mouth still full of pizza. "I've never actually been down there, but I know the general direction they usually drive from.", she said finally swallowing the rest of her pizza. She was sort of switching in between questions. That was fine with her though. "I grew up in Watani. I've been around drinking and smoking and all that good shit since I was real little. Then again, so was that guy who delivered our pizza, but he turned out better than I did." Mara took another sip of her beer and swished the liquid around in the bottle. She leaned over the side of her bed and stared down at the whiteish-yellow carpet. "You don't need to fix the carpet. From the looks of it, you weren't the first to deface it." . She looked up at him. He had a sort of doopy look on his face. She cocked her eyebrow. "Are you sure you're ok? You're offering to clean up the carpet, and you have a weird look on your face."
Stryx stared at Chill through the crimson haze, blinking in confusion. Something about the way he looked at Stryx made him feel unwanted. "She's right man, yeh do look kinda funny right now." he snorted. To Mara he said, "Meh, I new a gal who's from Watani, she's okayish, but she's in ta the whole druggie thing." He yawned, and the light overhead flickered slightly again. That bulb could go aaaaaany minute now... he thought. He glanced back at Chill, and a sudden realization hit him. "Oh my fucking god! Mara! He has a crush on yooooooou!" he laughed and pointed at her, rolling off the bed onto the floor, where he lay in a heap, giggling. "Hey Chill, name the kid after me, 'kay?" he giggled. Inside, Stryx was slightly pissed, Chill was only being nice 'cause of a fucking chick, he had no doubts that if she wasn't there, the two males would beat each others throat soon enough. Still, the thought of those two actually going out an a date was hilarious.
Mara laughed at the thought of kids. "Me? Kids? Hah. No way, man." She watched him roll around on the floor laughing. She fiddled with her lighter wanting badly to throw it at him. But she thought she probably had caused him enough pain when she kicked him in the shin. She found it a bit funny too, but that damn compassionate part of her kept her from laughing. "That stupid light's gonna g-.." as she was finishing her sentence, the light finally sputtered and died. Mara struck up her lighter. She assumed the light was was going to be some help, if not, it would just make her look weird. She stood up and (purposely) walked on Stryx's chest on her way to the cabinet to look for some candles. She had a feeling it was too late to call matinence now, so candles were their only hope of not killing each other as the wondered around the house tonight. She found one large green one and set it on the table, then lit it. She muttered angrly to herself as she went to go put her empty beer bottle in the trash.
Fuck. He hated this guy even more now. "Hell no" he said with the slightest tint of red on his face, "And even if I did what's it too you asshole" .
The lights when out. "Unf!" he wheezed as someone stepped on his chest. In the dark he wasn't quite sure who it was, but he thought it might have been a certain femme 'dragon. He grumbled darkly at the dead bulb, grateful when Mara lit the candle. The room was illuminated by an eerie glow now, it didn't help that the colored glass of his goggles made everything look like it was awash in a thin coat of fresh blood. He pulled the goggles off of his eyes,a nd let them snap back onto his forehead. Sitting up and rubbing his probably bruised chest, he grinned at Shill, the candle light casting strange shadows over the contours of his face. "Oh deary me, has the little darlin' sweetie pie got her panties in a twist?" he asked in a sickeningly sweet tone, a large smirk plastered on his face. Stryx pulled himself up onto his feet, and began dancing around the other male. "Oh my, oh my, oh my! The young lass seems to be a wee bit pissed, she does!" he said, giving Chill a playful shove and continuing to dance about.
