Leah heard Jyr's faint thoughts, he wanted something {I can help you} She thought, her voice sliding into his mind. {Or rather I can try to} She didn't want to make any promises she couldn't keep. She had done enough of that in her life to make the same mistake yet again. She gave him a wry grin as she waited paciently (well?}
Sah`Dja brushed the russet feathers of one wing against Leah's side, something she hoped to be a reasurring touch, "And I thought I tried to be honest about my emotions." Hiding her feelings felt dishonest and even weak to an extent. "But don't worry about it, Leah. I won't tell anyone, and you know, there's something to be said about being unable to hide. Even if I'm enraged, or utterly crushed into little pieces, I still try to do what I know is the right thing." She offered a kind smile, "Be brave." Inwardly, Sah`Dja sighed on that thought. What could be said about a love never felt? She didn't feel right about saying how wonderful love was in front of Jyr or Leah who had never known its warmth. Like speaking of an old feast before the starving, it just wasn't done without cruel intent. At least she could be there for them, and the idea brought a sense of resolve to the set of her muzzle.
"I'm trying, failing, but trying nonetheless," Leah sighed. She had been called brave before, she couldn't remember by who, maybe in a dream? No, she would remember who if it was from a dream. It had been a real person. A thought came to her mind, it was faded like an old movie. She was seven years old, she and her childhood friend Naless were walking to the bus stop for they're elementary school bus. Her dark appearence was like a cool pocket in the warm sunlight. She stretched her wings luxruiosly in an attempt to catch every ray. "Leah, you're in my sun!" Naless joked. Her white pelt and fair hair was an extreme contrast as she walked beside Leehara. "Sorry it's just so pretty and warm out," Leah said, the landscape bathed in the early morning sunlight. Leah felt a sharp pain spike in the back of her head. Everything went pitch black. She heared a soothing voice weaving through her unconcious mind, it was sining a song of rythm. It calmed her, kept her from trying to scream out. Then almost immeadiatly she felt someone touch her forhead. "Naless?" she groaned her eyes still closed. "yeah, you felled over. are you okay?" "my head," "you'll be okay Lee, jus' lie down for a sec, you'll see," Leah did as she was told. She counted backwords from 30 before opening her eyes. instantly she wished she hadn't. She could tell something was wrong even before she heard Naless' shriek. Leah knew that Sah`Daj had seen her memory, Jyr probably had too. She bit her lower lip.
Jyr could definitely tell something was wrong now, but he didn't know what. All the while, he was growing all the more wary. Then he could feel Leah's thoughts. Jyr couldn't tell if Sah`Dja could, he didn't know if she was telepathic. He felt like Leah was afraid of something...or over-conscious? Worried maybe? He wasn't an empath but he could read minds and right now those thoughts were slicking into his mind. And then he heard Leah's words: {I can help you} {Or rather I can try to}(well?} ~Help me with what?~ Jyr directed at Leah, almost positive she could hear what he had just sent to her. He had heard the entire memory that Leah had just relived, and he felt curious, he didn't know how the memory ended. He didn't know what happened and it felt bad. He wanted to know. He wanted to help...
{You want something, you're wishing for something, I can't tell what, but I can try to help.} It was hard for her to ignore the thoughts and feelings of others if they weren't so focused. Besides she felt she owed him something, she couldn't place why, possibly because she was spilling out her life, not only to him, but to Sah`Daj as well. But she felt like a child with no place to run and hide from unspeakable torments.
For someone that was not telepathic, the grin that spread across Jyr's face would make him look mentally retarded, or maybe heartless, smiling with such a serious topic at hand. ~You are perceptive, Leah. All in due time, I assure you. The one thing I want right now is for you to get some rest, you've been exhausted. If you prefer your room, i'd be happy to walk you to your room, but i do insist that you get some rest...the same things happens to me that happens to you, it happens when I overuse my powers or use them for lengthy periods of time.~
Sah`Dja’s gaze snapped to Leah with a start. She never expected to receive one of the girl’s memories. A slow blink and she closed her eyes, reliving that final moment again and again. The poignant tones of the scene slowly swept over her and crept into a perspective that seemed to fit. The young girl’s shriek became a horrible thing. She sniffed and brushed her cheek against her forearm, obliterating a single tear in the press of her fur. “That was when your curse came, wasn’t it?" Sah`Dja murmured. Somehow, she had thought Leah’s eyes had always been with her - a black gift at birth, but no. She had been given a full draught of loss just as she, herself, had; at so young an age and so, so long ago. In the back of Sah`Dja’s mind, she knew the two were speaking of something, but their thoughts needed to be open for her to sense them. The golden femme ignored the burr between them in respect of the privacy they seemed to hope for, but Jyr had grown so quiet. “You seem kinda subdued all of a sudden, what’s up?" she said to him.
Jyr cleared his throat. He didn't plan on talking if he didn't have to. "What make you think I was quiet?" he said with another grin "You just couldn't hear it, but still though. I haven't found any real reason to say anything vocally, just listen.
{resting would be good, would it be okay if I crashed here for a bit?} She paused {It's just that my dorm is a bit, cluttered} She showed him a mental image of her dorm. The boarded windows, yellowed scrolls of paper that littered the room, red candles dripping wax onto the dark wood surfaces. Leah twirled a few strands of her long ebony hair absently "Yes that's when the curse came, and I actually looked half way decent then too," She said spreading her wings to reveal the thick white threads that bound parts of them together.
~Yeah of course it is, I already told you that you could. You're welcome anytime.~ he said, more or less projecting the image of a smiley face ~By the way, I think your wings look fantastic.~ he thought, shooting a wink to Leah.
Sah`Dja shrugged at Jyr, “Suit yourself." She still felt like she was leaving him out of the conversation, but then Jyr and Leah were speaking to each other, so... “You still look pretty damn good, Leah. Back then, you must have been prettier than me." Sah`Dja said with a knowing grin thrown back at the dark femme. One of Sah`Dja’s little obsessions was to look beautiful, and in that, she hoped Leah would take her words for all they were worth. “But if your wings really bother you, maybe...maybe I can try to make them whole again." She offered a sad smile, “And I wish I were saying that as a mage, but I’d be looking at long months of work. My kind of work, but still..." Her fall into silence was solemn, but deeply thoughtful at the same time.
Leah blushed to both Jyr's and Sah`Daj's compliments. She thought she looked quite wretched. "Actually I'm starting to like my wings more," She said smiling at Jyr. "it's just the tattoos I want to get rid of, I don't know how they got there and I don't really care, but they're the stuff of my nightmares. As for the stiches, those would be my doing, I just have never got around to taking them out and byt the size of the thread there are probably gaping holes there now if i took them out," But she still beamed despite the truth to her words. You still look pretty damn good She did see some of the reasoning to Sah`Daj's comment, she had a lithe figure and she wasn't too tall or bony like some of the other 'dragons she had seen in her many years.
Jyr was silent outside, but inside his mind was racing. He enjoyed this conversation, more than any conversation he had ever had. "I'm sure a simple magic spell could remove them, though." he noted. Out of Character

Cant write at the moment lol....got lots of stuff i am thinking about :abduct: :P

Leah looked over her wings. "actually, they help me tell who will be a friend no matter the state of my appearence. I had loads of friends before those little inciedents, but most of them left after..." Her voice trailed off, silent tears rolling down her face once more. "Ah look, now I've gotten myself upset again 'dragons tell me not to wallow, but i do" She said. She then absent midedly added another word. "Sorry,"
Jyr felt sorry for her, and casually lifted the tears off of her face using his telekinesis, as they seemed to simply disappear, and then winked at Leah again, shooting a smile to Sah`Dja.
Sah`Dja offered Leah a sad grin, “All the more reason to treasure those friends that remain, and hey, at least you’re not wasting time on those who don’t deserve it." She canted her head, “Try not to take them personally, though. As my mom use to say, ‘Shallow pricks are society’s mainstay.’" Sah`Dja lightly rolled her eyes, “But I think she was just bitter over two ex’es, even after God knows how many years..." Emerald eyes shifted to Jyr’s smile and the corner of Sah`Dja’s mouth drew up in reply. Strangely enough, she was wondering how hard and long he could run just then.
Leah smiled weakly. "Two ex'es that must have sucked," she said She caught a bit of a thought from Sah`daj about Jyr and running, she couldn't place why, but she found it rather amusing. OOC: sorry for the crappy post my brain is caput in the idea department
Jyr simply watched, rather enticed by the whole conversation. He just enjoyed listening on two level, watching, not so much talking. He simply tried to understand what is going on, and then he felt a thought about him and looked around the room, unable to place the thought, since his mind was on Leah and Leah only.
Sah`Dja shrugged in an offhand manner at Leah, "Yeah, but it was years before me and the Uritt, so I don't know either of them, not even their names. Still, those wounds lingered on with my mom for a long time. It's one of the reasons why I plan on being careful. Flirting's fun, but if someone wants to be serious, then it's a whole other game." She smirks, "I think my neighbor is keeping a list of guys who've 'struck out' with me. I've a hunch my name's been replaced with something colorful, as I've never been able to sneak a peak at it." Her smile drew wide with a light giggle, "Knowing him, I'm sure it'd be a funny read."
Leah let out a bell like laugh. "Watch you'll find the list by accident and then wish you hadn't," She looked at Sah`daj a bit nervously "Um if it's not to rude for me to ask what is the Uritt?" She did not expect Sah`daj to answer and if she didn't that was okay with her. She knew what it was like to try and talk about a 'dragon's past. She averted her gaze and seemed to stare blankly at a wall. Really she was communicating with Jyr. {I know you've got something on you mind, care to share what it is?} She smirked.
