//. A smile manuvered across Ayrrk's maw. Nodding, he turned around and sat back down to his breakfast. Quickly gobbling up the meal, he rose again and stretched his limbs in the sunlight. Sighing, he looked at the path ahead of him. There in the distance, stood his future. Worry surrounded it with a thick fog, but deep within it, 'twixt the very heart and soul of him, there lay a hope. It's light was fragile and threatened to extinguish. Amazingly, this little aura, representing his hopes and his dreams and his wish for friendship, stayed lit in the midst of the damp and the dark. Always, he knew, there was an easier way out of the confusion, the fear, and at times, the pain. This hurt within him came not from his fear, but from a hanging guilt that lingered as the moment drew closer to the destination he and Adathiel were seeking. If something happened to her-he shuddered to think-it would be his own fault. But in the depths of his mind, he knew he would not let there even be a small chance of her stepping into harm's way. No, there simply couldn't be. And that inner light, small but ever vigilant, shined just a bit more radiantly. He looked around and spied Adathiel once again. She was waiting for him, he knew. "Alright Adathiel... we can go..." He said, smiling.

character Adathiel Liral ooc[/b] Okay, not sure if I told you this already, but I got a couple of people to play those charries. BlizzardWolf is playing the father, and madgirl2003 is playing the brother (got any ideas for his name? I can't remember what it was ) in character[/b] Â Adathiel sat outside the cave in a small patch of sunlight dappled with shadows of leaves. The canopy of the jungle was thick, so sunlight was scarce for a 'dragon who lived under its sheltering branches. The sun set her fur alight with the colors at the bottom of the rainbow. She licked some extra water out of her fur as she waited patiently for Ayrrk. She wasn't in a great hurry to leave. Â The fae had to admit to some nervousness, and fear. She hadn't seen her father in over a year, and wasn't sure how his presence would affect her. Her independence had strengthened her, but Kaen had always disarmed her easily. Any resiliance built up here in her jungle home might have no effect against her prejudiced father. There was, of course, a chance that they would not see her father while they were there, but the chance was slim. The servants were afraid of his wrath, and would inform him of her arrival. If they didn't see her, it would be her brother to inform Kaen Liral. Adathiel smiled at Ayrrk as he exited the cave, hiding the thoughts from her eyes. She didn't want her friend to know of her fear. She was suddenly afraid he would leave her on her own if they encountered any danger, and realized how attached she had already become to her new friend. Â She nudged the pack toward him, asking him with her eyes if he would carry it. The supplies in the knapsack made it heavy. Adathiel could carry it, but not easily. She kept the canteen around her neck, determined to carry her own weight during their journey. ooc you wanna end it with the next post, saying they started off or something? then I'll pm you a message telling you where the next thread will be. ^^

//. Ayrrk nodded at the implication made that she wanted him to carry the parsel. He walked over to her and took the pack gently from her. Though he wasn't the strongest 'dragon that'd ever been, he could take the knapsack's weight far easier than Adathiel could. Thrusting it over his shoulder, he glanced at his traveling companion casually. However, his lax nature was not met in return by the eyes and expression of his comerade. Her face read fear, and apprehension, and a slight anger as well. She was deep in thought, undoubtedly preoccupied with the task ahead of her. Ayrrk knew the burden she carried, though to what extent it was weighing her down, he knew not. What he did understand was that this little journey meant something to her, and for that reason he was content with her silence. He took his eyes off of her and looked all around him. The jungle was alive once again, just as it had been yesterday, and for every day since it's creation. He hadn't been there quite that long, only forty-eight hours really. But in that short time, he'd been further away from home and more independent and cofident then ever before. At the beginning of his trek through Watani, he'd been extremely pessimistic, and in truth, he still was. Nothing about his nature had changed, except for one iota of a detail; he'd found a friend. A single, solitary friend. He knew he could trust Adathiel, and somehow deep within him that was all he needed to speak out and find the courage to help her face her own fears, and his as well. Glancing at the road ahead of him, he smiled at Adathiel. " Then let our journey begin..." Ooc: We need to close this thread now, I'm not exactly certain how to though.
