--Ayrrk smiled and nodded. "Zaequa, eh? Well welcome to Watani. What brings you here." He questioned, slightly suspicious. It was not as though Zeaq was very intimidating, it was second nature to Ayrrk to be leery of strangers. Though this weird pessimism had dilipidated some with meeting Adathiel and several other comerades of his, it still existed. He waited patiently for Zeaq's reply.

Adathiel gazed at Ayrrk for a short moment, processing his statement. As she realized what he had said, a smile spread across her visage, and joy through her eyes. Her reaction was evident. She would be glad for his company. But before she could thank him verbally, another male pendragon stumbled upon their conversation. The fae offered a smile of greeting to the male. She watched him curiously, gazing mostly as his unique eyes, with her own lavender flavored ones. She was quiet as he picked up his drawing pad and book from the ground and replaced them around his neck. When he introduced himself to her, Adathiel nodded her cranium to him. "Hello there Zaequa. I'm Adathiel." she replied, not offering a last name. She rarely went by her last name, since it connected her to her father.

-- Ayrrk was glad she thought well of his idea. He grinned and sat up straight. He knew he could possibly be injured or even killed going on this little adventure, and the same could happen to Adathiel. Everything about the situation defied Ayrrk's very nature. Only days before, he'd have shrugged off her problem and went on with his life, wrapped up in his own little predicaments. He might've been afraid to even approach another PenDragon, let alone help one in a way such as this. Though it wasn't as though Ayrrk didn't know why he'd been so reckless as of late. The reason behind it all was the fact that before now, Ayrrk had never had real friends. Sure, he'd had the kind that liked you for awhile then moved on to bigger and better things, and never really cared about you, only how popular you were or how much you were willing to spend on them. Never before had he known friends who would stick by him, and not abandon him when they discovered he still didn't trust them fully. And even though he'd only just met her, Ayrrk knew that Adathiel was that kind of comerade. He smiled and spoke to her calmly. "So.. when do you want to go? That is.. if you DO want to go. if you're sure..." Sighing heavily he turned back toward the new dragon, still awaiting his reply, and also waiting to hear from Adathiel.

[.character.] Adathiel Liral
The femme stayed quiet, thinking seriously about Ayrrk's question. It would take a couple of days minimum to travel to her father's home, through forest land. It would be best to start as early as possible, though she wasn't in a hurry to get there. Her father would take her and probably lock her up once he knew she was there, though she didn't tell Ayrrk that. Her father would leave him alone, of that she was sure. Adathiel decided that they could leave the next day, early in the morning. Looking at Ayrrk, she decided he could carry a bit more than she could. A heavy backpack would weigh her down. However, Ayrrk was larger, and probably stronger, as a male. Supplies could be brought, but they would probably have to live off the land for a few days. "We can leave in the morning." she said to him, before she lost her nerve. "We'll bring some food supplies, but I can't carry much, being so small and all." she added, with a sheepish smile gracing her visage. She had grown to be accustomed to her small size, after leaving her father. She had met others that were smaller than average as well, and it wasn't quite as unusual as she had been brought up to believe.
[.ooc.] Eppie, did you post your character's info on the Character Profiles board? Cuz I can't find your charrie's info..

-- Ayrrk nodded, grinning. It was true enough, he could carry a heavier pack than she could. Not that she was weak, it was just the fact he was male and therefore a bit stronger. Besides, a small amount of supplies on a short venture such as this wouldn't be that much of a burden. He was alated at the idea of going somewhere, and at the same time, he was frightened of what might happen, either to him or Adathiel. There again, was that risk, that chance that it seemed inevitable to take, it had been lingering in the back of Ayrrk's mind and only now was surfacing and causing him to shrink back a little from this journey. Still, he felt as though this was something he was truly meant to do. And so, that strange twinge of courage was what kept him from going back on his desicion. As for her father, Ayrrk planned on trying to avoid him at all costs. If avoiding conflict was at all possible, they would most certainly stay away from it. Though Ayrrk knew very well that her father might do terrible things to her if he saw her, and seeing him was almost a vital part of this adventure. Despite this, Ayrrk knew that there might just be a way to remain unseen to him, and that would be his aim, to find that way. Ayrrk hoped that nothing bad would occur. He truly did. But if her father tried anything funny.. well.. he honestly didn't know what he'd do. He was more brains than brawn. So maybe there would be some way to help Adathiel through this by using his mind rather than muscles (not that he had very big ones). After all, he was training to be an escape artist. He looked at her, determined. "We can gather the supplies now. As for carrying, I'm up to that. We'll need to leave as soon as possible..

[.character.] Adathiel Liral
Adathiel nodded, still thinking. Being home meant it was likely that she would run into her father, no matter how hard she tried to avoid him. But Adathiel was going to try to stay away from his presence for as long as possible. She could ask the servants if they knew where her brother had gone, if anywhere. If they wouldn't answer her, she supposed she would have to find her other brother, Cilyn. Cilyn idolized their father, but he was softer with women than his father. He looked down on his younger sister, and always brought her to Kaen when she he needed to relieve some stress or anger upon her. But perhaps she could get her other brothers whereabouts out of him before he took her to the master of the house. She realized that this was probably how it would go down. The servants were too frightened of her father to do anything against his wishes. She smiled at Ayrrk, and stood up. Her wings closed against her sides, and she looked about, gathering information as to where they were. They would have to go back to her den, thats where she kept her food supplies and such. She looked at Zaequa, unsure of his part in this. Did he want to come, or was he on a mission of his own? Adathiel didn't want to seem rude by not inviting him to come, but she didn't want to invite him into trouble. So she left him to decide what she wanted, and spoke to Ayrrk. "I have supplies in my den, that we can get quickly enough. If you'll follow me?" she said, and waited for his answer. With a small grin she realized that they would have to take the paths to get to her den. They would lose her if they tried taking a shortcut through the jungle depths. Adathiel remembered a time when she had to take the paths or risk getting lost. Even after a year, she found it difficult not to get lost sometimes.

-- Grinning, Ayrrk followed Adathiel. He glanced a the path ahead of them. It looked complex enough, that was for sure. Ayrrk wouldn't have been ashamed to admit that he'd get lost quite quickly in this jungle. As for food and supplies, Ayrrk knew that they'd have to go back to her den to get them. He couldn't exactly show up at his father's home and ask to take large amounts of travel provisions out of the blue. His father probably still hadn't forgiven him for the fight before. So, quite obviously, taking things from him was out of the question. Besides, he was eager to see her den, and discover what kind of home she had. It was probably quite nice indeed. He turned back to Zeaq. He hadn't said much of anything, and Ayrrk wondered also if he wanted to come along or go off to attend his own business. So he called back to Zeaq as he walked. "Coming Zeaq?" He turned his attention back to Adathiel, and continued walking onward. He wasn't quite certain what lay on the road ahead, but he knew for sure it'd be an adventure! "So Adathiel.. what should we bring along with us?" He smiled questioningly. -------------------------------------------- OOC-- Kumo, I'm not sure Eppie posted her characters profile, or if she's even still roleplaying with us. I'll check though. She didn't completely understand the Character profile thing, I think.

[.character.][/b] Adathiel Liral
It was a short way to her den now, even though they took the paths there. Despite Ayrrk's expectations, Adathiel's home was quite simple, more like a wild animal's, rather than an intelligent comfort-loving species. As they entered the area, the first thing visible was the small indentation in the ground where Adathiel slept. It was set at the base of a tree, and had a small a-frame set up over it, made out of tree branches. Next thing was the log that had shelves scratched into it, that held various non-edible items. Underneath the log was an area of soft dirt, where Adathiel buried extra food in plastic containers she had taken from her home when she ran away. Quite embaressed at showing her living conditions to someone who probably lived very differently, she moved quickly. A knapsack was taken from the shelf, and she dug up the food and shoved it into the bag. Then she took most of the items from the shelf and put them in it too. She didn't know if it was likely that she would come back, so she left very little to the wild animals of the jungle. She left everything as it was and closed the knapsack, leaning back on her hind feet as she did so, needing the use of her front paws. She offered the knapsack to him to carry with a smile. She looked around with the sudden realization that it was getting dark and they would have to sleep here. She wasn't sure how she felt about that. It wasn't that she didn't trust her new friend, it was just awkward. Her living conditions were embaressing. She didn't want to put him through sleeping a night here on hard dirt.

He smiled. Her home was simple, yes, but quaint and perfectly fine for one dragon to live in. He'd been raised in a cave, with few modern convieniences. It wasn't that his parents were poor, it was just their heritage. Yes, passed down from generation to generation was this primitive lifestyle. School, however, was permitted, and only the finest in education would be considered acceptable. Aside from that, they might've been considered stone-age compaired to some families. Still, the Ayr family had always kept their heads high, and retained a fairly high place in society. That is untils Ayrrk's generation. Domestic disputes had torn the family apart and made them seperate. And now, that brought Ayrrk to his current situation. All of this had started cause he was mad at his father. He'd wandered off cause he wa angry at his dad. Now he had found a friend, but was also headed to an even scarier scenaro; facing up to Adathiel's dad. But.. this was how he liked it.. even though he was a bit worried. Glancing around the cave again, he grinned. He liked this small home. "Nice place Adathiel." He smiled at her. Then Ayrrk noticed the time. It was getting late. He might have to spend the night here. No matter, He'd just sleep under the stars, oustside. As if to sense her distress about that predicament, he spoke.. "I'll sleep outside, if you want."

[.character.] Adathiel Liral [.ooc.] Sorry it took me so long to reply, Rika. ><; I've been really busy with school and band camp, and then too tired or too lazy and such to post. Sorry 'bout that. I'll try to make sure I reply sooner. ^^; [.bic.] The fae watched him take in his surroundings with a feeling of trepidation. His welcoming reaction practically made her sag with relief. Her new friend's opinion was important to her, almost as if she needed to impress him. Despite her residence's simple attributes, her old home was as modern as they came. The other houses that she had visited from time to time had been too. So a different, less welcoming reaction had been expected of Ayrrk, though she was thoroughly relieved that hadn't been the case. After getting over her relative relief, Adathiel's attention turned once again to sleeping arrangements. She certainly wouldn't mind sleeping out from under her little shelter on such a night. Although the jungle sometimes had unpredictable weather, the femme didn't believe a storm would come this night. She sat on the ground, thinking. Finally, she shrugged. "You can sleep wherever you like." she replied, implying that she didn't mind if he wanted to sleep inside her meager shelter. "I'm sleeping outside, however. Its not likely to rain, and I only sleep in there if it is." she neglected to mention that her first month or two out in the jungle, she had slept in her shelter every night for fear of predators and such. Now she no longer harbored such fears. The jungle was her home.

Ayrrk smiled and nodded. He would sleep inside.. mostly to give Adathiel some amount of privacy. And also because he wasn't familiar with the terrain, not much, anyway. He knew where he was.. buth ow he got there.. and where he would go next.. well.. At any rate he liked Adathiel's abode a great deal, and felt it was a very complementary statement if he decided to sleep indoors. He sighed, his feathery wings falling to his sides. "Ok Adathiel.. I'll sleep in here.. though I DO fancy outdoor sleeping arangements at home.."

[.character.] Adathiel Liral
The fae couldn't have been more indifferent to Ayrrk's choice, and moved toward the trunk of a large tree. There she dug a small indentation in the earth, large enough for her body to fit in comfortably. She swept out the extra dust particles left over, then layered the bottom with jungle leaves. Satisfied with her makeshift bed, she sat in it, waiting like a good hostess for Ayrrk to make himself comfortable before she slept. Her thoughts were occupied by tomorrow's endeavor. Her heart was constricted in dread and nervousness, and also in worry. It would be her fault if Ayrrk got hurt, and he was her friend. A dubious expression crossed her visage, and she began to have second thoughts about her decision to let him come with her. "Ayrrk, are you sure you want to come with me tomorrow? I'm sure I could manage by myself." she said, hesitantly, worry threaded through her vocals.

Ayrrk picked his head up and sighed. "Of course I'm sure.. I want to make sure nothing bad happens.."

[.character.] Adathiel Liral
Adathiel nodded her cranium in acceptance, a small sigh escaping her body. Despite her reluctance for his company, because she was worried he would get hurt, she was actually quite relieved. Now that she realized she really was going to see her father, she was grateful for some moral support. At the least, he could find Milal for her if something happened to her. He should at least know she was alive. The fae turned around in her bed, pushing lumps into it with her paws, much like a domestic cat from earth would do. She laid down with her back to the roots of the tree, curled into a fetal position. She lifted her head to look at Ayrrk with a smile. "I'm going to sleep now. Make yourself comfortable," she said. Her cranium rested back onto the ground and her eyelids covered her pupils. Her ears twitched, catching the sounds of the jungle, not fully asleep.

Ayrkk nodded and yawned. He stretched momentarily and lay back down, tired from all this adventure, and excited about what awaited him. "Ok.. I'll just.. sleep.. here.." He mumbled as he fell asleep..
Hours passed quickly in Adathiel's resting state. The stars shined across her lids, until her body automatically woke itself at daylight. The fae rapidly blinked the sleep out of her eyes, and stood up to stretch the kinks out of her muscles. Her back arched and a yawn escaped her lungs. Her orbs were a deep blue-ish purple, rather than their usual light lavender. Her pupils were egg-shaped with the dim sunlight. Those oculars turned to the sleeping form of Ayrrk, her new friend and companion. She smiled happily, glad she had someone to back her up when she confronted her father. Crawling out of the small dug out den where she had slept, she shook dirt out of her fur, a distasteful look upon her face. Maybe they could make a trip to the river before they left. Its not like they planned on getting there at a certain time. Unless Ayrrk had time restraints that she didn't know about, anyway. She took the knapsack off her shelf where she had placed it before her night's sleep. She drew out a meal of dried meat and berries out of it, and placed them on a high flat rock. She sat down to wait for Ayrrk wake up, not bothering to do it herself. She didn't want to get slashed if he wasn't a morning 'dragon. Besides, she was up early. Most 'dragons probably didn't get up at sunrise.
Sleeping as if there were no tomorrow, Ayrrk continued on in his slumber all through the night. However, he wasn't a particularily sound sleeper, tossing and rolling about as he dreamt of only he knew what. The noise that was Adathiel stirring woke him in a matter of moments. Yawning, his vision a blur from resting, he struggled to focus in on what had woke him. He was certain fairly soon it was the femme in whose company he'd found himself in. Yawning, he staggered to his feet. He elongated his wings and limbs, streching off the post-sleep stiffness that always bothered him so early in the day. Finishing his little exercise, he turned his head back toward the direction in which Adathiel had moved. On a table-like rock, she'd set breakfast. The food in question was berries, no doubt about that. Ayrrk had grown up in this area, so berries had been a staple part of his diet. There was meat also, and for that he was appreciative. He'd not had a very filling meal in a few days, wandering about Watani, he'd really only had time for brief snacking between short journies. His short meals had consisted of some fruit, and a little bread he'd brought with him. He'd not b een expecting that he'd wander as far as he did, so he realized early on in his trip that he'd needed to use what meager amounts of food he had sparingly. Yawning again, his attention shifted to Adathiel once more. How rude of him, to approach breakfast and not thank her for providing this tuck as well as his temporary dwelling! He sighed and offered a friendly greeting. "Morning Adathiel, how are you?"
The fae folded her haunches so she was crouched next to the rock supporting their breakfast. She flashed a genuine smile to Ayrrk, her lavender splashed occulars revealing simple joy. "Good morning, Ayrrk. I'm alright, though a little nervous," she replied. There was no need to mention she was frightened. Her fear hung in the air like the morning dew, and it increased each time she thought of their venture. Adathiel reached to a section of dried meat and tugged a bit off it. The tough meat reluctantly slid down her throat. She managed to force her helping of berries down, then got up from the table. "I'll be right back. I'm going to go down to the stream for a moment,"[/b] said the female, already heading down the well worn path. She had this sudden urge to have a moment to herself, to think. The water would help clear her thoughts. She reached the wide tugging of water and stepped into it slowly. Barely ten steps in the water forced her to leave the ground, and Adathiel swam strongly out into the center. She dunked under the water and twirled, troubling thoughts discarded from her mind with each new spin. This was her element. She drew a deep breath upon reaching the surface once more, and turned over onto her back. Floating there comfortably, she closed her eyes and sorted out her thoughts. {OOC: Heh, sorry this post sucks. Not much inspiration right now, but I had to reply. I've already taken long enough as it is. ^^;}
//. Ayrrk nodded. He sensed her apprehensive feelings in the very atmosphere of this place. And she had reason indeed to fear. She was all but staring death in the eyes. Facing her father wasn't going to be easy for her, and not for him either. Not long had they been comerades, but already Ayrrk knew he'd made a friend in the jungle yesterday. He found that he liked this friendship thing, and desired more of it, though, to where they were headed, there might not be any. But in addition to his kinship, Adathiel had also earned his guilt. He felt as though if anything went wrong today, it'd be all his fault. This WAS after all, his idea. He sighed. He musn't even think of that. Staring down at his breakfast, he convinced himself that this endeavor was for the greater good of them both, and decided to put the rest in fate's hands. Turning his gaze back to the fae for whom he was worried, he got up. He must comfort her, no doubt the fear within him was amplified a thousand fold in her. Squinting his eyes at the sunlight near the mouth of the cave, he walked outside. Spying her, he spoke in a reasuring tone.. "You're nervous, I can tell.. but don't worry.. I'll be there, and I'm not gonna let anything bad happen... you just promise to back me up as well, eh?"
