He blushed a little while explaining, "Yes it is. Used by the Emperor when he married the Empress. They loved each other, but soon disease took their lives. The Empire then began to fall." He explained it gracefully. "I went to the remains of the Empire and found this."
Jynx studied the gem, trying to hide her own blush. "It's a beautiful gem, don't you think?" She said softly.
Pendzez looked at Jynx with Emerald eyes. "Yes I do. They say if you say your vows while holding this, then your heart will bond with the one you're marrying."
Pendzez looked at her. Seeing the blush, he said, "I'm not lying. Some believe it, some don't and some don't wan't to know."
"Hmm. I think I should keep this somewhere. I could use it when we.... I mean... I get married." His face was beet red and it was also like his fur was going red.
[/I]Did he almost say 'when we get married'? She thought, her blush deepening. She saw him blushing too and looked down, biting her lower lip.
Pendzez was still beet red. He confessed, "Ok, I'll be clear. I love you. The marriage thing with you and me just slipped out." He looked at Jynx with bright, sparkling, half-open eyes.
Jynx stared at him, shocked for a moment before she smiled and went to hug him fiercely. "I...I love you too, Pendzez." She blushed, burrying her face in his chest.
Pendzez held her close, hugging too. He held her tightly but not too tight. He whispered into her ear. "Will you be with me when we're older?"
Jynx smiled and nodded. "I'll be with you as long as you want me around. I promise." She said softly.
While they were kissing, Pendzez thought, mother, father you must be proud. Then Pendzez pulled himself away a bit. He stared into Jynx's sparkling blue eyes with his fire red eyes
Jynx stared back, a small smile on her muzzle as she leaned her head against his chest. "It's getting kind of late..." She murmured softly, looking up through her lashes at him.
Pendzez looked out of the window. It was night fall. "We should hit the sack." He looked at Jynx. "Where do you want to sleep? There's the couch or with me."
Pendzez blushed, but he replied, "Sure, it's a double queen." He looked to his room door. "In there, I'll show you." He got up, with Jynx next to him and led her to his room. He opened the door and went in first.
