"You're not a bad person, Jynx. I know you have your own life and you want to live it out your way, but he is your brother." He tried to think of a solution. "I have an idea. My uncle is a close friend to the Principal. He could ask the Principal for en-rolment forms for you and your brother. That way you two won't be separated from each other."
Jynx hesitated then smiled, looking up. "<span style='color:blue'>Thanks, Pendzez. I...I'm sorry. You don't have to do that. We wouldn't really fit in here.</span>" She looked around before settling back down, pulling away a little. "<span style='color:blue'>It's not that I don't want to stay here. Amaroq...he doesn't really like staying in one place for long.</span>" She pulled back a little more, uncomfortable. "<span style='color:blue'>You see, he's an assassin. That's what he does for a living. So its not really that he wants to be away all the time, it's that he has to.</span>" She explained.
"An assassin? rough." He thought of another solution. "Well, umm...say in a letter that your staying with a friend tonight so he doesn't get worried and you go back, when you get lonely, you can come and visit me. How about that?" He smiled back at her.
Jynx thought it over. "<span style='color:blue'>He probably won't start getting worried for a while, since he's in Bhim and won't be home for a few days, so I should beat him home.</span>" She smiled and hugged him tightly. "<span style='color:blue'>Thank you.</span>"
"Your welcome." He held her slightly tight. He released himself and stood up with Jynx. "You're a guest in my dorm so feel free to ask for anything."
Jynx rose unsteadily, smiling at Pendzez. "<span style='color:blue'>I think I'm ok for now. I should probably head home in the morning.</span>" She sighed, thinking. "<span style='color:blue'>You should come visit me sometime, too! On break or something.</span>" Jynx grinned now, eyes bright.
Pendzez nodded in agreement. "I will do when I have time." He looked around and noticed the pile of books. "Oh, behind you is a pile of books, so be careful. The left side of the pile is my books and the right side is Flayra's." He pulled himself closer to Jynx and whispered, "She has a knack for Flora and Fauna."
Jynx turned, picking up one of Flayra's books. "<span style='color:blue'>Cool. Maybe I can take some pictures of the desert Flora and Fauna for her.</span>" Jynx smiled at Pendzez, eyes bright and happy.
Pendzez smiled back, "Yeah, that will be a good idea for her to know what desert Flora and Fauna there are." He pointed to his pile of books. "That pile of books is about Alchemy and Chemistry." He had to ask her what she was into. "What do you do? Like Sorcery, Dancing, Seerism or something like that?"
"<span style='color:blue'>I do Darkness Lore and Dream Weaving, mostly. I'm not very good at it, but I try.</span>" She picked up a Chemistry book, flipping through the pages. "<span style='color:blue'>I've always wanted to train animals, though. I don't know why. They're just fascinating.</span>" Jynx smiled as she paused, reading a page.
"Well, I also do Pyrokinesis because of my ability to create fire with my paws." He paused to show her. "It's not genetic, it's just a gift."
Jynx studied his paws, careful not to get too close and singe her fur. "<span style='color:blue'>Cool! I bet that comes in handy a lot.</span>" She smiled and turned her gaze to his eyes.
He extinguished his flames, "Well, I mainly use it for Alchemy and well to melt ice walls when I go Treasure Hunting." A small strand stll covered his right eye, because that's where his scar was.
Jynx's ears perked up. "<span style='color:blue'>Treasure Hunting? Sounds cool.</span>" She noticed the strand still covering his eye and reached out, her paw gently brushing his face.
He grabbed her arm before she could brush the strand and said, "Remember when I told you that I had scar I preferred to keep it hidden. Well I don't prefer to keep it hidden, it's just that I'm used to have it hidden." He pulled away the strand himself and revealed his scar.
Jynx studied the scar for a moment before she sat back, still studying him. "<span style='color:blue'>It looks like mine.</span>" She said finally.
He had another look at her scar, "Well yeah it kind of does. I'm is on the eye and yours is going down your eye." He sat down, with Jynx beside him.
Jynx nodded, reaching up to touch her own scar as she thought it over. She leaned against him when he sat down, closing her eyes for a brief moment.
Feling Jynx leaning up against him, Pendzez never felt like this before. "How hot is it in the desert, and which desert do you live in?"
Jynx opened her eyes, surprised. "<span style='color:blue'>I live in the Tmu Desert. It gets pretty hot, I guess. I spend most of my time in the cave so the wind doesn't blow the sand into my scar. It's a lot cooler in there</span>." She replied. After a moment, she looked up. "<span style='color:blue'>Why?</span>"
