Lost in the heights of the Nyonge Mountain Range, a peaceful slate of rock lined with snow next to a flowing, natural stream.  The area was large, thirty feet by thirty-five feet of nearly flat mountain with soil inside the weathered away rock, even more packed down and secured with chipped off stone and small pebbles.  Boulders lay to the side, anciently lodge into various places and standing as grave reminders of change, holding imprints of beings molten by flowing lava in times long forgotten.  The sky was cold and blue, yet depressingly static.  From a few miles away, a light thunderstorm with a following shower definitely would catch the side of the mountain with a revitalizing spray, while the land on the other side would be deprived of water.

"Why won't you die?!  I will break every bone in your body, you foul bastard!"

The voice of a woman, strong and confident rang out through the stone field, along with the sound of scraping metal.  Two heavily armored Pendragons, one slightly morphed to a standing were-woman, and the other appearing to be a messenger of death, a man with shadow for long, streaming hair.  They wore identical armor, both slightly mechanical in operation, but were basically for protection.  The man pulled away from the female Pendragon, swinging his sword to the side.

    "..."

His blade was an immense one, a Bastard Sword three inches thick and seven five feet wide of the blade with a one foot handle against its hilt, gleaming like a black crystal.  The woman had two smaller swords, one golden and the other red, her chest heaving as she caught her breathe.  While her armor was the same, she had a larger shoulder guard on the right, holding a symbol of a black swirl.  Her fur was braided at the top, coming down her shoulder in a black and gray braid.  She appeared to be on top of the battle, though her opponent showed no sign of defeat.

"I will kill you, and throw your heathen of a body down this deep crevice!  No one ever steals from Nilik Tagul and lives!  Not even my own associates!"

The man simply shook his head, running his black and gray-gloved fingers through his long, flowing hair.  He had no emotion in his eyes, low and evil like a snake's, piercing directly through Nilik's mind with a cold stare.  The female ran towards the man with both sword extended to her sides, burning with a golden flame.  She jumped into the air, twisting in her flight by every foot before flipping over in mid-air, and then threw the golden sword at the man's foot.

"I will not tell you again!  Return my armor and die like a man, Palasaj!"

Palasaj sidestepped the blade, moving only one foot while keeping one eye on the woman.  Glowing even brighter, the golden sword vibrated while stuck inside the ground.  Palasaj jumped back, sprinting through the air with his hair flying behind him.  A dark crystal bell collar jingled on his neck when he landed, just in time to evade the blade's reaction.  It cleaved the ground slightly, sending golden cracks through the soil, which would have ripped him in half.  Nilik landed on the edge of her sword with the other laying against her forearm, standing on one leg.

"Answer me, bastard child!  I took you under my wing after seeing you cold, starving, and struggling for work in that dirty assassin's guild!  You were smart to follow me.  Don't you remember?  The Graders had the guild destroyed only a week after you left, and luckily spared your life!  How could you betray me!"

    "...As I remember..."

Palasaj spun his sword over his head in one hand, making a black disk of fading images over his head.  His hair flew slightly in the wind caused by his Bastard Sword, dancing against his cold, pretty face.

"You tried to kill me in order to get me to quit.  I would have died with them.  I wanted to..."

"I had real ambitions for you, young one.  To tell you the truth, I wanted to have you by my side the whole time.  Then you go murdering my own men, stealing my mo--"

Palasaj stopped his blade from spinning and quickly grabbed the blade, holding it by the flat end.  He flicked his thumb against the hilt and pushed forward, pointing it towards Nilik with his head cocked to the side, moving his arm so quickly that it was almost unpredictable.  The blade flew through the air towards Nilik hilt first as she stayed perched on her blade as quick as a shuriken, which was impressive for its size.  She didn’t have time to dodge, and became the unfortunate target of the hilt.  It smashed into her lower abdominal armor, knocking her from the blade and folding her body over.  Almost immediately, Palasaj changed from his docile, statuesque self to a deadly speeding machine.  He ran towards the falling Nilik, arms stretched out in time to punch her face at an angle, twisting her head.  Nilik’s body twisted with her head, and she fell in a corkscrew face first onto the ground, Palasaj’s sword slicing into the ground soon after.  She flipped to her feet as Palasaj recovered her blade, and pulled her red blade from the ground as quickly as she could.  Nilik barely dodged Palasaj’s menacing dark Bastard Sword, and ran towards her golden blade.  He let her recover the sword, only to pull her into his own sick death game.

“…You will die, miss Nilik.  I thank you for the few lessons you taught me.  Too bad that your son won’t be born."

“That is none of your business!"

Nilik burst into red flames this time, flaring towards Palasaj with both swords at her sides again.  Her feet smashed against the ground as she ran, leaving deep imprints and long cracks.  A few stones rose from the ground with her steps, and the blaze from her aura-melted snow many feet above them on the mountain.

“Enough.  Strike of the Earth Buster!"

Palasaj shouted in his confidant, dark voice.  He pulled the Bastard Sword’s hilt towards his face, staring directly into the orb.  It glinted slightly before he rammed it into the ground.  The orb flashed, and then emitted a mass of dark sparks from its insides.  A shadowy dome formed around him as Nilik came into range, then flared towards the skies in a pillar of earth summoned destruction.  Purple jagged lines of static blazed around the pillar, pulling Nilik into the air as her armor was ripped off, crashing against her body with dark power.  The pillar gained even more intensity, flashing green and leaving in a orb of energy.  As the power died away, she hit the ground with only a few fragments of her armor left, steaming and smoking from Palasaj’s Earth Buster.  The man laid his flashing black blade over his shoulder, staring down at his former teacher’s aching body, his hair and armor glowing after the discharge of his attack exploded into the sky.

    “I will survive."

He let the tip of his sword touch the ground lightly, then walked towards Nilik, holding one clawed hand up and muttering to himself, eyes closed yet anger filled.</font>

  2. <font color='#000080'>Nilik moaned slightly, only moving her body slightly and pulsing with pain.  She opened her mouth, screaming only shortly and with strain in her voice, green sparks shooting from her top row of teeth to her bottom row, still burning with Palasaj's devastating explosion.  She gasped for air, reaching up towards the man, and foaming at the mouth.

"Please...help me Palasaj.  I don't want to die yet.  I didn't mean anything I said.  I love you as a son."

Palasaj's eyebrow twitched, the last comment hitting his anger chord with such hock that his form lost some of its shape, growing fangs, longer ears, and black fingernails.

"Son...?  You loved me as a son, you say?  The way I was treated, I would be wise to save your unborn child from such a hellish life."

He ripped the blade from the ground, pulling earth with it and rending part of the land that it cut, only digging up some loosened dirt.  Slowly, Palasaj traced his fingers against the edge of his blade, staring down with a ghastly gaze towards Nilik.  She didn't know what he was doing, in such pain that her vision was skewed.  Palasaj ambulated to Nilik, his black, metal clad boots clicking with every sep, the dusters on the sides clad with snow.  Pulling his right hand down the blade again, he clasped his hands around the hilt of the blade with all of his fingers tightly around the rod, facing the point of the blade to Nilik's pregnant, yet not showing belly.

"Good night, Nilik.  I will see you in Fronima...hopefully."

Closing his eyes, Palasaj let his blade sink though her stomach, pushing down until it went into the ground.  Nilik only let out a brief shriek and grabbed for the blade, blood dripping from her hands.  She died with her mouth wide open and her eyes staring, still grabbing onto the blade.

    "No...  No I won't."

Palasaj waited for her body to become staler, his Bastard Sword's blade brightening as it stayed in her body.  Her face, disturbed and soul-like, spun around in the hilt's orb before fading away.  The man lifted his sword from her body and kicked it down into a crevice, just as she promised to do to him.

    "Finally, I'm free."

Palasaj looked down at is right hand with the sword in his left hand, then stared at the sky.  Rain droplets lights came down, dropping against his face and his shining black armor.  It became heavier, his hair stuck against his back and his shoulder armor, lightly streaming down his chest in wet tresses.  He looked down to the ground, still holding the blade in his hand, eyes closed and statuesque.

"It is about time I returned."</font>

  3. <font color='#000080'>Palasaj slapped his other hand onto the hilt of the sword, holding it in both hands.  The clouds covered the mountain with a dark, gray gloom, rain bouncing from the man's armor with small, bright splashes of water on the metal and saturating his skin.  He lifted the sword to his face, staring at the hilt and closing his eyes in concentration.  His body became bigger, yet in the same basic shape.  His mouth opened, growing sharper and more ferocious.  Fur grew over his body, forming but hidden inside his armor.  Eyes, dark and dismal, changed to those of the hunting dog along with an extending maw and his black nose.  He kept the five-fingered hands, but grew black fur over the back of his hands and more calloused, tough palms.

    "Pagujs."

Lightning struck down onto the field and ripped across the stone for a few feet when Palasaj uttered a word, lashing out into the light from his stationary position.  His body left in a black beam of light, leaving the isolated crag and Nilik's corpse behind.</font>
