OOC: Timestamp: Tria 25, 81380 (midday) Conditions: Sunny, little clouds but some far off, possible storm later on in the day IC: Skye looked up speculatively at Daiima. Tourists don't lie, it was a mile and high and extremely beautiful in its grandness. Skye looked at her feet noticing the many roots that had curled out of the ground years and years ago growing stronger. That was probably one reason why not many dared climb such a tree. Not only would you fall from great heights you could also land on the hard roots on the ground. Skye figured that as long as she made it 20 or so feet up she could easily pull herself up with her wings and save herself if she fell. Skye obviously knew that she could easily fly up that distance and save the trouble. But then what would she tell her grandchildren (if she ever had any) when they asked about her adventures? That she had flown to the top of Daiima? Just lik any other flying 'dragon? No she would tell them she climbed it. Perhaps not all of it or not even in most of it, but she still would be able to say she cliombed it. Skye looked up again, boy was that high. It would take many hours to get anywhere worthwhile. It would be nice if perhaps she had someone to talk to, someone as crazy as her, who would also climb the huge tree.

Orca, suprisingly, was thinking almost the exact same thing. She walked slowly around the humungous tree, watching the way the light reflected of the dewy leaves. But, unlike Skye, Orca was planning on making it all the way - to the top. She shrunk her wings and shortened her hair to about shoulder length, then coaxed it back into a high ponytail, and ran right into Skye. Orca swore and stumbled onto a root. Ayoa! I'm Orca. Are you thinking of climbing this, too? Orca asked, grinning broadly and looking up, squinting and trying to see to the top.
Skye was just about to begin her climb when another thill bumped into her. Skye stumbled slightly but couldn't help laughing to herself. Finally someone as clumsy as her. I'm Skye. And yes, actually, I was planning on going up. Long way though, maybe we could go up together? Skye hadn't exactly meant for that question to come out right away. I mean, Skye didn't even know who this Orca 'dragon was. But for some reason they just slipped out. Oh well, it was a big tree and if Orca wasn't comfortable with climbing with a companion then Skye doubted that they would often bump into eachother along the way.
- i n c h a r a c t e r w i t h o r c a l i n i - But Orca seemed almost... ...delighted? She smiled. Oh, that sounds fun. Then I'll have someone to keep me sane on the way up - going that far by yourself up a tree could drive a person mad. Not that Orca wasn't already mad. Orca looked up at the tree again. There was a burst of wind, and her sweatshirt blew and got caught on a twig. Orca pulled it off, along with her knapsack, and set them on a root; now she was wearing only a tight black tee-shirt, and khaki short-shorts, neither of which would be easy to snag. So, shall we get going? It looks like it might storm eventually. - o u t o f c h a r a c t e r w i t h l a n n a - Do you think it would be at all possible for Orca to get bitten at some point in this roleplay?
OOC: YES!!! She like really needs to feed...um so we'll just make the day go by quickly while they climb and then it'll get dark and we'll go from there...if that's ok IC: Skye looked at how Orca was dressed. Obviously the thill was well prepared. Skye, on the other hand, wasn't so well prepared. She wore a slightly tight tank-top and long cargo pants, I mean she wasn't colassily unfit to climb...but still... Yeah, let's do this thing. And, yeah, there probably is a storm coming... Skye grabbed onto one of the lower branches and hoisted herself up, going up a few more feet before stopping to wait for Orca.

OOC: sry for the short post!
- a n d o u t o f c h a r a c t e r l a n n a - I am so sorry! I had a bad case of influenza and my parents wouldn't let me come to the library! (Yay for vamp-bites!) - a n d i n c h a r a c t e r o r c a l i n i - Orca nodded to herself and rubbed her palms together, then grabbed her knapsack and jumped. Her fingers grasped the branch right below Skye, and she hoisted herself steadily onto it, then straddled the thing, tightening the bandages on her legs - this climb would be horrendously tough for them, she knew, but she was determined to make it anyways. It would be just another obstacle among the many. She re-tied the wraps, and a small bit of clammy, pale, shriveled and burnt looking skin was visible - and it was skin, there was no fur here. She covered it, stood, balanced, and leapt, swinging herself up a few feet more; soon she was twenty feet of the ground. She stopped, waiting for Skye, and slung her knapsack tightly onto her back - the food would be helpful later. Hm... But there are so many leaves on this tree that I doubt we'll even feel it, eh?
OOC: Sry I took so long as well! Well...I'm just going to move forward a few hours...that way Skye can bite at night when she kind of loses control...let me know if it's too soon. (do I need to timestamp or something? ) IC: Skye nodded smiling, Ya, but that's a good thing. Rain won't help this already impossible climb, now would it? Skye and Orca climbed for several hours. And it was already beginning to get dark and they were a long way from the ground but they still had an even longer way to go. The conversation between them was constant and whenever it died down Skye would try to start it up again, and Orca was helpful too. The talk made the tiring climb less...tiring. At the back of her mind Skye was worried. Very worried. It hadn't occured to her that they would be climbing well through the night, and she had forgotten how she hadn't fed in weeks. Her stomach grumbled at the thought of freesh blood. She looked nervously at Orca. It wouldn't be long before her 'vampire-self' took over and she wouldn't be able to stop herself from hurting Orca.
o u t o f c h a r a c t e r w i t h l a n n a Thats fine ^_^ And no, I believe that you wouldn't have to timstamp again. I can't wait until Orca is a vampy! -pokes her- Twa! Rah! Twa! By the way, I THINK low pressure makes everything crisp, but I can't be sure. I'm positive it usually means bad weather, though. b a c k i n c h a r a c t e r w i t h o r c a Orca was obvilious to this threat of being bitten, however (although her roleplayer is not... hehehehe) and so she climbed on, innocently unaware that soon, soon she would be thrust into the unforgiving limbo of being a vampire. Ugh, it would make it way harder, she responded, looking up, then down, and continuing, I think we're about two-thirds of the way up... Her legs were starting to tremble slightly when she stepped, but she tried to make it not noticable. As the climb continued, the storm clouds darkened treacherously, and Orca sighed. Every smell, every sight, was sharpening slowly, but Orca knew what it meant - a storm was coming. She sighed. Well, we'd better hurry, I think that storm is coming, and it will probably have lightening, which is worse then rain.
OOC: Yeah...I live in a place with low pressure...and the weather IS bad IC: Skye, like Orca, was beginning to feel the pain of climbing for so long, straight up and the pressure from being high. Skye had looked over every once and a while to see if perhaps ORca was feeling the same but it didn't look that way so Skye tried to hide it. Skye nodded absent-mindedly to what Orca was saying. She was barely listening. The Skye was almost completely black now. Does it always get dark this fast? It won't be long now...what do I do? Skye had to think of something fast. Soon her 'vampire-self' the part of her that was very hungry, would take over and she wouldn't be able to stop herself from biting Orca. Should I jump from the tree? I almost made it to the top, I can tell my grandkids THAT...Yes. I must. To save Orca. On three she thought to herself, spreading her wings slightly, but not too much... she didn't want Orca to notice and try to stop her. 1.......2.......I don't need to jump. How will I find down on the ground? There aren't any 'dragons that will be out in a storm in the middle of the night! Just stay here. Be patient, Orca will be fine food. And so Skye had waited to long, and now the vamp in her had taken over. Skye looked over at Orca, making sure Orca didn't notice, her green eyes flashed menacingly as she made a plan. OOC: Almost there! Soon you're Orca will be a vamp...I'm excited too! lol
Orca chatted on about random subjects, not noticing that the vampire Skye was taking over. Thunder began to rumble in the distance, crackling threateningly as they climbed higher and higher, and then, on a branch about 5/6 of the way up the tree, Orca was reaching up for the next branch, and had grabbed it, when the one below her broke off unexpectedly. The unexpected jolt yanked at her shoulder, and she felt the blade pop out. With a small yelp, she grabbed on with the other arm, and lifted herself up, panting heavily. She was still heaving when she noticed the green of Skye's eyes. Were they that color before? Suddenly, Orca couldn't remember... but something was different. They might have still been the same color, but they looked... ...cruel, somehow. Malicious, even. She shrugged it off. Maybe it was just the light of the now-not-so-distant thunder that was making her eyes look that way.
Skye nearly laughed out loud at the sight of Orca nearly falling, but that was only after she reached only slightly in case she didn't manage to save herself. A 'dragon would not be tasty if it was squashed from a fall, its blood already gone. Skye only then noticed that the storm was now truely overhead. Deep inside her soul she feared for the fact that the two of them were in a very large tree during a powerful lightning storm but soon this thought was pushed away. Are you alright? We need to rest. There is no way that we'll make it much farther with this storm carrying on, besides it would only increase your...I mean our danger. Skye smiled a strange smile but it was a smile non the less. She looked around a moment and then added, You seem to have landed yourself on a nice thinck branch, hold on, I'll be up in only a moment. Skye smirked to herself, making sure Orca didn't see and began to make her way up to where Orca was, her mouth almost watering.
She nodded to Skye but was still too shocked to speak, she simply sat there on her branch, thinking herself safe from what had almost happened. She could have used her wings, yes, but what if she hit a branch before she grew them enough for use? It would not be a pretty sight. But she had made it onto the branch, and now she was safe - or so she thought.
Skye was just coming up onto the branch when she couldn't hold back any longer. With a powerful leap she jumped on top of Orca pinning her against the branch. When her 'vamp' side took over Skye usually became quite strong, not that she wasn't that way naturally, but it was still easier to take down Orca than it normally would have been. In a last attempt to save her short-lived friendship with Orca Skye managed to speak the words "I'm sorry..." before she was overwhelmed and had bitten deeply into Orca's neck and began to desperately suck at the blood. It was over quickly and finally Skye sat back, leaning against that trunk of the tree smiling, her hunger finally satisfied. Orca lay on the tree branch, unconcious, her wound was no longer bleeding though Skye wished she could feed more. For hours Skye sat on the branch and dosed off every once and a while, but it wasn't until dawn that she saw Orca stir and Skye herself realized what she had done.
