Tessera (Autumn) Days between 1-47 81337 (3) The day was warm, the sun hit the green grass perfectly. Â A swift breeze had passed him by. He made his was to a small forest infront of him. He placed his foot one step inside, he felt the moss place itself between his toes, the smell of wood was in the air. As his feet touched the ground moths scattered in every direction, he continued walking foreward. He was not used to the ways of the mainland yet. Â Â The sun tried to bleed through the tree's leaves. A small stream passed by infront of him. Moss was growing on everything it seemed. On the trees, the ground, the leaves, the pebbles in the stream, everywhere. A soft note seemed to be played from a griffen passing by above the forest. Â He crept low to the ground, his wings were twitching slightly from the heat. Â He heard sound comming from a motion of bushes behind him, he gasped slightly and turned around, his hand gripping an arrow. (This is my first one, please don't yell at me >_<)
Through the bush stepped a thin black female. Her singular maroon optic glittered at him with a sence of knowing. The other mutated orb was hidden behind a veil of silky hair. Her wolven like tail swished as she opened her arms to show the male that she was no threat. Large sable wings were folded 'pon her back and the feathers ruffled in the slight breeze. An inquisitve smile crossed her visage as she stepped closer. 'lo there traveler. I haven't seen your face around here before. Are you new to this fair land?
Ruen couldn't help himself but smile, infront of him was a very beautiful woman. His eyes started to gleam as he removed his hand from his arrow. He stepped closer to her aswell and took the woman's hand. I have been wandering and searching for someone as beautiful as you His face flushed and he kissed her hand gently then placed it back down at her side, he loved the colour of her, the black fur, looking like silk, his glass wing streatched itself out alittle while looking at the woman, not taking his eyes off her for a moment. I am new here... I just happened to wander into a forest. I love them so very much. I always love to hear my footsteps crunch in the leaves and feel the moss as well... Forests are very beautiful to me. But what about you, miss? Are you new around here? (Are you even a miss? are you a Mrs? God, I hope not) Ruen continued thinking to himself as he gazed at her.
The well curved female smiled broadly at the male infront of her. Her ruby optic glittered in the specks of golden sunlight that peer through the trees. Ears flicked backwards slightly as she blushed with a hint of flattery. Long tail curved around her legs as she bowed to him. Her voice was that of a curious and warm manner. Why thank you kind sir. Your words are quite lovely to my lonesome ears. She looked up to the foliage above. Songs of birds singing filled the air and she closed her eye and sighed in contentment. Indeed. The forest is where I come to get away from things for awhile. Opening that ever glittering orb, she smiled at him again. And no, I am not new to these lands for they are my birthplace.
OOC:Would you mind if T joined? BIC: A large male wandered down the track, taking in the beautiful surroundings. It had been a long time since he had been in surroundings this bright and lively. The light danced around him, and he couldn't help but bat at the Whis fluttering round him. His feet crushed the insecta and plants beneath him and he sighed. He couldn't go back to this ideal, peaceful and ignorant. His world had changed, and he was no longer the small pup knowing nothing of the world outside these woods. He sighed and collapsed onto the ground. A small cry came from beneath him and he rolled over, only to find a tiny deer like creature wimpering at the sight of him. He held out his paw and it slowly climbed on tottereing on it's legs. It couldn't have been more then a few days old, and yet it trusted him. He let it down and a small smile slid across his face. There were lessons to be learnt here. He would stay for a while.
occ: Please do ^_^ Â Â He was very releved that the woman was single, he had a chance. Â His eyes danced as he looked at her with warm eyes. Â He couldn't get over how beautiful she was, her fur was so black, blacker than night. Â It looked like silk he had to restrain himself from touching it. Â Why did you wish to get away from things? Were people bothering you? Was it work? Would you like me to go kill them or seriously hurt them? Â Â Ruen laughed to himself, he wouldn't do that, only if he had to. Â Only if it were a life or death situation. Â He looked up around, breaking eye contact. He noticed that the sun was leaving him behind with a dark night. Â The breeze picked up, leaves went along with that breeze. Â He yawned alittle, streatching his wing out as well as his back. Is there a place you are staying? Where do you live? I'm really sorry I am spouting out questions at you, I guess I can't help myself. I suppose I am alittle nervious. Â Â Nervous!? Ruen was more than that. His body was acking from shaking so much, his bones were getting sore. Â Not only from the lovely woman infront of him but from the cold as well. His tail locked around him, his eyes were watering alittle aswell. He had heard a cry from behind him and turned around to find a male laying on the path behind him. He gasped alittle and looked at the pendragon (my bad), not able to talk anymore.
Alki stared at the stammering male with a growing smile. His endless questions didn't bother the sable fae, it moreso amused her. Bringing up a hand, she covered her mouth as a small giggle escaped her vocals. The breeze made her hair billow slightly and she casually placed a paw over the hair that covered her left eye. Wolven tail flicked as she sat herself on a nearby rock. A knowing glint was alight in her dark blood red pools as she watched him. No, no, no. It's nothing like that. I'm more of a nature 'dragon myself so I just like to come out here. And no, you don't have to hurt anyone. The slight cry alerted her and she was on her feet in a second. With a nervous glance around, she saw the source of the noise. A small deer and another male were lying in the grass not too far off. Alki sighed in relife as she settled herself down on the rock once more. Her ruby orb trained itself on the male to whom she was speaking to again. I don't really live anywhere to tell the truth. I am a...wanderer. The lovely female said this as if it wasn't the word she was looking for. Of course she couldn't tell him the real reason she was out here. Being a fugitive was a rather secretive way of life.
OOC:Yay!!! Wolf? Dragonofthefayth-I just realised that T and Alki are the same age, and they were both born here. Old friends? BIC: T got up, shook off the dust, and stared at the others, slightly annoyed. He was vagely amused by their conversation-the male was obviously very nervous. What's so interesting? He noted that they were fairly evenly matched, if anything the other was stronger. This was no time to fight. He walked closer, and looked at the female. He was sure he recognised her from somewhere. Do I know you? He looked back at the male, snapping out: Will you stop shaking!!! He backed off slightly, showing that he was not trying to start a fight. Damn.He was not a naturally submissive character, and it took all his will power not to rush at the other male. OOC:Short post
Ruen watched as the other male confronted him and the female. He jumped slightly as he raised his voice at him to stop shivering. He stood still and looked at the other pendragon, his eyes squinted slightly as he watched. He watched as the female placed herself on a rock and blushed as she moved the hair out of her face to reveil more of her beauty. I guess I would consider myself a wanderer. I can never stay in one place. I guess I never am really comphterbal. I like surroundings and colour. That's another reason why I love to travel so much. It's so beautiful. He looked at the other male and back at the female, he realized he forgot to intoduce himself. With that in mind, he streatched his back alittle and looked to the female, then the male. He flushed, his face was getting warmer and warmer by the second. He noticed he wasn't acting himself. Not the loose and casual Ruen he always was around anyone and everyone. He didn't understand. Was it the weather? By the way...I realized how rude I was acting just now. My name is Ruen Lecithin. I don't know where I am from. I guess I don't remember... His voice trailed off.
OOC: Alright. Works for me. Alki gazed at the other male with an odd stare. Her single orb glittered at him with a fixed glint evident in her eye. Alki curled her tail tighter around her as well as her simple tan trenchcoat. The faint flash of steel was seen before she concealed it casually with her coat. Alki could have sworn she had seen this other male before. Like some long lost memory, it unerved her. Shaking her head slowly, she continued to stare at the new arrival. At the sound of the one named Ruen's voice, she turned to him. The sentences he had spoken before were lost to her but she did catch that he had mentioned something about being a wanderer himself. That same smile crossed her visage again as she nodded. It's quite alright Ruen. I forgot to introduce myself as well. I'm Alki.
He raised an eyebrow at the male, looking slightly amused. No emotion was given away by his eyes, and he felt no need to leave the other two 'alone'. He started pacing around, attempting to summerise what had happened so far. Not much. Okay, lets get things straight. We're all here, and we're not usually here? He suddenly realised that he knew their names. His full name was known to none but himself, but he could give them something to go by. I'm T. If anyone wanted to know. He shifted into a bipedial state and clawed at a tree. He was annoyed at his lack of ability to recognise the female. So it wasn't photographic, but his memory was generally good, and he'd never had much to remember. OOC: Sorry if that makes no sense, Tolkein is messing with my brain X)
Ruen watched the male as he strutted around clawing at things randomly. He was wonder what was going through their minds. Was he fitting in? None of them had seen recognizable. If any thing he might have glanced past Alki once but not realizing it now. His heart dropped down his body. He looked around. Well, I think it is rather late. We should find a clear opening and make camp. I know it is rather dangerous here so I suggest we stay together at least tonight. He was still watching the other male. He felt a little threatened, but didnÂ’t take note to it. He knew that if he were to try any thing he could use his chrono- wait, Bakall had stolen the pendent from him. So he was useless to chronokenis. He started looking around for firewood and anything that would make a spark. Breeze was picking up and rain drops made their way down the tree's leaves onto the floor. At least they would be a little shielded.
What was Ruen thinking? No fire wood would burn this far in to the rain. He voiced his thoughts. No fire will burn. And, even if it did, there's too much risk of it spreading. The only shelter we can get will be from fallen trees and, seeing as there isn't any, we'll have to help them along. His clawing started to become more purposeful, digging right into the trees to find any that were hollow. Finding one, he proceded to make the hole larger, gradually working his way round the trunk. When he was satisfied, he pushed against the tree with all his weight, and it fell with a satisfying thud.
Alki watched this whole thing unfold without saying anything. The sorceress felt the tension building in the air between Ruen and T. She also felt that the fact that T. supposidly knew her was bugging him severly. With a flick of her tail, she too switched to her bipedial form and padded over to T. Raising a wolven brow, she stared at him. He did seem familure...With the shake of her finely chiseled head, she sat down once more. The rain didn't bother her much and she sighed. I agree. Staying together is probably the best idea at the moment. Oh and by the way, T., was it? Fire could burn...with a little help and control. A large sly smirk had grown on her maw as she raised a paw infront of her. A ball of flame had appeared in the palm of her paw. Alki closed her paw and the flame dissapeared. I am a magic user you know.
T felt embarressed. How was he supposed to know of her magic? But she did have a point. He swallowed his pride. Again. How was I gonna know? Anyway, the best place to light a fire would be in that tree I just felled. It might stay alight for a while. He turned to Ruen, noticing his unease. Ruen was obviously feeling left out, which was understandable. Still odd though, as there was some thing in the male's stance that told T that Ruen was used to being in a dominant position. This was actually quite puzzling, as T was hardly trying to take over the situation. Just getting on with things, the way he always did. As hindsight, he called out to Ruen. I'd apreciate some help with this next tree-We haven't got much of a shelter yet!
Ruen nodded to the other 'dragon. He took his claws and dug into a tree T was already digging into. He noticed how Alki was supporting him. He wasn't used to actually getting responces from women, just a slap upon the cheek. He smiled as he was clawing and watched as the tree made its way down. He hated to hurt nature and bring things down, but they needed a dry and warm place to sleep. The rain was picking up, he looked to Alki. Can you light this? He was suprized to find himself blushing slightly. His face was warm, but his body was freezing. The rain was making it harder and harder to work in. Ruen had been aware that Alki could use magik, he just wasn't too sure. He sat next to the tree that was laying on the floor. The rain seeped into his fur and touched his skin, his head lowered as he felt his body aked. He hasn't eaten for the passed 3 days.
Alki watched as the males joined in efforts to bring down the next tree. Hanging back, she played a little with the rain that was falling around them. She outstreched a paw and the rain collected in a small puddle in her hand. Alki, in turn, made it into a ball and hucked it at the nearest standing tree. It exploded into tiny drops which cascaded everywhere. With a chuckle, she closed her eyes and smiled at her small form of amusement. The sound of Ruen's voice made her jump and she looked up with a startled expression. Realizing the question he had asked, she nodded. Indeed. Concentrating on the life force of the plant, she let it flow into her being. She then imagined it bursting into flames which, in turn, it did. With a satisfyed smirk, she nodded to Ruen. There ya go.
The tree fell, lying across the one already felled at an angle, with a gap underneath it. Small, but the best they could get. An Inth caught his eye. Didn't they travel in groups? Sure enough, several others followed. He lepted in front of the first, and grabbed three of them before they scattered. Perfect. Grabing them by their spindley legs he dragged them back to the fallen trees. Not much, but they're more filling then they look. He threw them to the others, keeping one for himself.
Ruen looked at the small creature that lay in his hands, his mouth dripping with saliva, he smiled and took a rather large bite. The flesh made its way around Ruens mouth, the flavor was filling and went all over his body. He looked at the young pup and smiled slightly larger, Thanks, This is wonderful. His mouth was covered in blood, he licked his lips and made another large bite. The food was satisfying. It was as if it was the first time he had ever eaten. He closed his eyes for a moment then opened them once more. He looked to Alki and smiled then took one more satisfying bite. The warmth of the fire was nice compared to the rain. The other trees sheilded the rain slightly. He looked up into the breeze and smelled, this was life. He was very happy and overwhelmed that he had met people that werent trying to kill him. The only thing he thaught of was Bakall and what he was doing with his Chrono Pendent. He sighed and a worried look overcame him.
Alki smiled and nodded to T in thanks. A smile was evident as she grasped the meat and took a rather dainty bite. This was better then the old stuff she had to scavange normally. Tassle swished across the ground once as she looked up to Ruen feeling his gaze on her. Singular ruby orb glittered out from her sable visage as she turned and looked up at the clouds above. The rain poured down on the small shelter they had made and she smiled. It was nice to have company...
