Day: 27 Month: Dyo Year: 2 Raven walked slowly tripping occasionally over the rather rough environment. "Stupid rocks " she exclaimed on one of her trips to the ground "figures that I'd pick a place like this to start out into." Her ears perked up at each sound and her imagination seemed to race as sh thought about what may await her. A place such as this I have never seen before now she thought if I'm not careful I may find myself in a rather unpleasent situation indeed. Raven leaped over some fallen twigs and found herself rskidding down a slope at it's base she landed with a sickening thud. Raven peered around her everything seemed dark and cold as it often did when she was alone.
OOC: sorry, above post was by me I forgot to sign in IC: A soft voice rises out of the darkness, it is deep but strong, "Are you hurt?" A dark shape separates itself from the surrounding darkness, red eyes become visible as well as a grey mane of unruly hair bound in a leather strip. The pendragon facing her could not be that old, but he was built like a tank. Corded muscles covered his frame, that was easily 6 feet at the shoulder. and his tail was tipped by a deep black flame that almost seemed to absorb light rather than emit it.
Raven peered around her and caught sight of the pendragon that almost appeared to be drifting from the darkness. She shook her head trying to bring everything into focus. As her vision cleared Raven marveled at his height and then remembered his question. "Hurt no... not really" she said struggling to get to her feet "Just a little embarassed." Raven got up and straighted her silver hair she took a quick glance at herrself she seemed in one piece. "My name's Raven" she said timidly "I'm just glad that it no longer appears that I'm alone here and you are?"
His eyes narrowed for an instant as if judging her, apparently finding her worthy he replied, cautiously, "Coldiron, Coldiron Drakkar. I don't usually see many walking alone in these parts so late. I suppose I've become used to bein alone here in the darkness, where i seem to fit so well." He sighed, it seemed strange coming from a pendragon who was obviously not so very old. The red eyes held a rage within them but more than that a loneliness.
Raven's deep blue eyes seemed almost cold as he mentioned walking alone. "I have always walked alone. There is no one who I have ever known to see me as anything more than a problem, an annoyance or a burden so it seems only fitting for you to have found me thus." Raven paused almost surprised at herself for what she had said She looked at Coldiron "I'm sorry" she said softly "I suppose the last thing you want to hear is my life story." "But then again it seemed only fitting as you yourself have said you find yourself alone."
"You can tell me what you wish. I am alone not by choice, but by circumstance." Coldiron bent his head down to her, "don't be afraid, the darkness is not bad, just different from the light."
Raven looked curiously at Coldiron what did he mean circumstance? Truly everything in life happened for a reason. What lay beyond his words ? There had to be something more. "I don't fear the darkness." Raven said slowly "It's just that I like to know what is before me not hiding in the shadows." "You Coldiron seem to hide your true self in the shadows to." "Forgive me but by telling me that you are alone by circumstance leaves me with many thoughts. "You say I can tell you anything the same applies to you I am here if you need someone to talk to." Raven found herself comfortable in Coldiron's presence she truly felt that she could say anything. But would he trust her?
"I do suppose you're right. Raven. I do tend to hide at times, I hae learned unfortunately that to be secretive is to live longer." He sighed, "My circumstances concern... my parents. They were killed while I was away, I don't know by who or why but since I have always walked alone, the shadows protect me, shelter me." He looks away, his eyes troubled, never having said this much to anyone about this, but he feels more comfortable with Raven than with any of the others hed met.
Raven looked at Coldiron she hadn't intended to upset him. She paused a moment unsure of weather saying anything would only make things that much worse. "Coldiron I... can't pretend to know what it must be like to have someone taken away from you. At least not in the same way. But I have to think that your parents wouldn't want you to be so full of sorrow." "I know that it won't help to bring them back but I'm sorry for what happened and I promise that for as long as you wish to have one I'll be your friend and walk with you. Then neither you nor I will find ourselves alone" Raven became silent Coldiron seemed to have lived a tragic life she felt almost as though she had to try and bring him a small sense of happiness.
