day: 5th month: dyo year: year 2 ears twitched at every sound the femme heard whilst she trudged through the rough terrin of the jungle scene. deep ocean orbs glanced in every direction; it was obvious this paticular youngster was new to the territory, but she continued on. snap. she stepped on a twig, though she panicked, not knowing it had been her. nostrils flared as one snorted softly, body whirling around in a full 360 degrees. nothing. there was nothing there but trees, the path, and random mammals that scattered the jungle floor. flame-tipped tail lashed in embarassment once she found out it was her own doing. she continued on her trek, rugged ebon' locks atop her crimson skull bobbed at each step she took. she occasionally had to shake her cranium to rid her tresses from her optics. each paw made slight imprints into the earth she stepped upon. her paws weren't that large, so one could tell that she was roughly no older than 15 00.. infact, she was merely 13 00, still quite young. she still looked around, eyes filled with curiousity and timidness at once, ears still alert for any sudden movements or sounds. "hullo," the young pendragon called out. "is anyone out there?" she trudged a bit further, but she had been wandering most of the day and found it best to just stop.. and relax. she dropped to an effortless sit, soon moving into a lay; right in the middle of the jungle pathway. a yawn emitted from herself as she continued to look around, ears perked at every sound... trybbers rugar had made her enterance.. and it was probably an everlasting impression; on her first day getting here she got lost.. how quaint.
out. of. character. any moderator, feel free to close this topic. i don't mind, and i actually don't like it all that much... *shrugs*
\\ OOC: I'll close it, or delete it, if you want, but I can also reply, if you want to get it going. All other characters are elsewhere engaged, but Saeroth is free for a little stalking in the jungles. LOL Lemme know what you'd prefer.
out. of. character. ooh, you can reply to it, zeva. it's just i posted it like.. last week or something so i was getting slightly doubtful.. heh. and.. i don't quite get how this works.. can one pendragon be in more than one place if the date is different?
\\ OOC: I know, I get discouraged when nobody seems to reply, too, 'tis why I offered to do whatever you prefered. And with a new char, I can now RP moooore. XD As for that, yep! The same character can be in multiple threads so long as the days are different. If it were any other RPG, you'd have to make sure the times were different enough to allow for travel from one place to another. Here 'tis the same thing, but less so, because there are those with teleporting powers. Oh, and for his being invisible.. I imagine invisible as being like the alien in the Predator movies; can see right through them, and everything, but the way light goes through them when invisble, it distorts what's behind. Heat waves, kinda deal (for those who've never been subjected to watching Predator! LOL ) \\ IC Saeroth had been sleeping quite peacefully high in the jungle trees. Probably three our four average pendragon heights up. Yes, it's a funny thing to see a pendragon of his size reclining lazily along a wide branch so very high. That is, it would have been. Before he'd fallen asleep, he turned himself invisible. But he'd been woken by the voice of one rather unnatural snap. Most creatures in the jungle, and any area elsewhere, knew their environment backwards and forwards, and relied on stealth to survive. Whomever made the noise was foreign to this jungle. So, the middle-aged 'dragon listens, and watches far down below. He watches her movements. They were timid.. scared.. she seemed rather lost. Then, she called out, and his assumptions were justified. He smiles and shouts down to her, still with the invisible elemental spell covering him, "Someone is usually always there, young one." His voice was deep, and soothing; he meant no malice, and rarely ever did.
ears twitched, slightly startled by the sudden voice. she looked around, brows furrowing as she did so. she spotted no one. getting up from her lying posistion quickly, she whirled about, tail twitching. "wh-who said that?" her voice faultered slightly; even though his voice was kind and gentle sounding, she was still unsure. pausing in her movements, her skull tilted to where she had heard his voice, head cocking to one side as her tail curled around a hing leg slightly. she allowed a light grin to furl across her snout as brows raised.. out. of. character. me thinks i protray invisability differently.. heh. i haven't been subjected to many RPs where the opposing character was invisable.
Saeroth looks down at his paw, and smiles at himself, realizing why she couldn't see him. From his perch in the air, the striped lion-esque pendragon unleashes claws on the thick tree bark, and climbs down. The final leg he leaps, to land maybe ten feet or so on the path in front of her. Mid-leap he whispers, "Beterelesi." which causes his form to meld back into the visible light spectrum. He stops, and sits, golden studs thrice marking each ear, surrounded by his thick choclate mane, deep brown eyes looking calmly at her, "I did. My apologies, I'd forgotten to remove the invisibility prior to speaking." The middle-aged male inclines his head toward her as he introduces himself, "My name is Saeroth. Are you in need of assistance?"
"wow.. that was.. cool," childish remark was given, lopsided grin now crawling across her stout mawl. head remaining tilted, trybbers kept a steady gaze upon the older pendragon. "i.. er.. you.." eyes soon lingered toward the ground sheepishly as she admitted, "i'm lost." she dropped to a sluggish sit, shoulders slouched as ebon' tinctured tresses fell infront of her ocean hued orbs, gaze still on the ground. she reluctantly looked back at him, blinking thrice as she too gave him her name, "i'm trybbers.. and.. yeah." at this moment in time she felt quite stupid, but not as stupid as she probably could sound.
"As I'd guessed." he smiles, answering in response to her saying she was lost. "Pleased to meet you, Trybbers." He nods slightly again, his deep brown mane bobbing. Saeroth looks behind him, then back to the young teen, "To where are you headed? I can lead you, as I know my way around." he smiles, fatherly-like. Knowing his way around was a bit of an understatement. One of his masteries was in ranging. But this one seemed too young to know who he was; and of that he was glad. Less to worry about in taking her home, or wherever her destination was.
Dreed creeped slowly along the ground as if hunting prey until the sound of voices startled him. Lfits his gaze up from the area that he was heading to then looks to the direction of the two voices, glares slightly then goes to take a peak. Comes up to the place slowly and meets eyes with the young 'dragon as he looks through the brush infront of his face. The red glowing orbs watched her as if she was a likeable prey. Shifting his massive weight from one side to another, causes the faint scent of death crept off his body.
trybbers smiled, giving a feeble shrug, "i.. well.. i'm not quite sure where i want to go.." brows furrowed as she remained in that same stout sit that she had been in before. orbs flickered about idly, soon returning to saeroth curiously, but they drifted toward the bush.. did she spot something move? she gave a gulp, head tilting.. it was probably just a small mammal of somesort.. with a shrug, she looked back to saeroth once more. "i'm new.. just got here earlier today.. don't know my way around.." she chuckled lightly. "came here with my dad.. but i haven't seen him since we've gotten here.. he's probably lost, too.[/b]"
Saeroth holds up a paw to Trybbers, indicating she pause their conversation a moment. The 'dragon was never caught off-guard, especially in his own jungle, and familiar territory. He had noticed the scent of death almost immediately. Something had been hunted, apparently. But the fact that is was so close, and he'd heard no noise of the struggle one usually gives when dying, then predator feasting, he casts his gaze about. Something behind him, he decides. What, he wasn't sure. But he was no weakling, nor small in stature, so he was unafraid of whatever it was. "Be civil and come out, please, or else I'll be forced to come get you." The threat was delievered evenly, almost aristocratically, but unlike the rich he'd known, and once been a part of, he'd contently carry out his own demands, not pay someone to do it for him.
A heavy breath comes from the brush causing a dust cloud to kick up a bit. Then a large night-black dragon comes from the cover of the bush and stands towering over the other two. Gazes down at the two with red glowing eyes and smirks to himself. "So...you wanted me to come forth...for what reason?" His voice sounds so distance as if it is coming from a different plane of existence. Looks back over to femme and licks his lips slowly.
eyes widening, trybbers stumbled away from the unknown pendragon, feeling her full body begin to tremble. she didn't know why he had been licking his lips.. but she figured she didn't want to know. with a gulp, the young femme glanced from both saeroth to the unknown, flipping her gaze constantly. who had that male been? she wasn't sure. she also wasn't sure if she was going to know or not. she crouched down to a terrifyed position, tail coiling around herself. she was short for words, unknowing of what to say.
Saeroth looks blandly upon the pendragon. Size mattered little in this world, and through his many years, Saeroth learned to care little for intimidation, as he knew it's underlying meaning all too well: instinctual, scare or be scared, kill or be killed. Not a hard lesson to learn. "I called you out, so you could be a civil being and introduce yourself, not stalk about like a common wretch in the brush." Saeroth looks to Trybbers, then back to the newcomer, "You've already startled the poor girl, the least you can do is give us your name, or an alias if you prefer." He waves a paw, gesturing to a spare patch of the path, "Now, please sit, if you feel so inclined to do, or, you're prefectly free to turn around and leave, whenever you feel the need."
Continues to stare at the femme and grins at her, gets down closes to her with his nose and smells her about the head and backside. Looks over at the other 'dragon out the corner of his eye and glares at him slightly. "Dreed...", turns attention back to the femme and takes a deep breath, then letting it back out slowly. Intends to remain as he is and avoid the follow that was asked of him besides his name.
with a soft yelp, trybbers gained enough courage to thwap dreed across the muzzle. once she did that, she froze, eyes wide and glistening. she didn't know what to expect. she let her gaze linger towards saeroth for a moment, but immediately it snapped back to dreed. was anything going to happen to her..? her body trembled still, bottom lip quivering as she spewed out, "l-leave me alone, yo-you big bully!" once she said that she found it best to get up and leap over to saeroth, crouching down behind him timidly.
Draws back a bit and wiggles his nose a bit and smirks. Pushes her wit his head and draws back from her not acting angered or anything. Steps back far enough to where his whole body was covered in the shadows only to the point to where his head was visiable. Sits down and closes his eyes from looking at her. "Well, little princess, I didn't mean anything by it." Laughs under his breath as he lies there with his head leaning down.
out. of. character. me gonna wait for zeva to post. wouldn't want to get the roleplay too far ahead. ^_^;
