<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Timestamp: Tessera, 5, 81378 Dusk</td></tr></table> LienÂ’zie sat in the back of a seashore dinner just off the fishing piers, looking strait ahead of him out to the ocean. He was thinking, many jumbled thoughts rolling about in his head. He was not sure of anything anymore; he did not even know what his own thoughts meant. He often forgot what he had just been doing, what he had just been thinking. His mind would flash from one moment in his life back to another. He did not know where he was. He dropped his head to his hands and rubbed his practically blind eyes, mumbling strange words to himself. Ramaithian was what he spoke, but even those that where fluent in the language would find his words a jumbled meaningless stream of sound. Sylables and words tossed about in a chaotic mumbling. He looked back up, his eyes wide open looking out to the waters, looking passed them. He leaned forward, almost hovered on the chair, as if he was drawn to something out there. Then he blinked and looked around, his face thoroughly confused. He sat back down and shuddered slightly. He looked down at the off-white table and started to tap a discordant rhythm with his pale yellow decaying claws. He was a scrawny pendragon, his every bone looked like it was ready to break through the thin fabric of skin covering him. His fur was grey and his hair was wild and ghostly white, matted with a decadeÂ’s worth of neglect. One of his pale eyes was blind, the other soon to follow. His ice blue tail flamed shuddered with every breath. "SomethinÂ’ to drink hun?" LienÂ’zie almost fell out of his chair at the waitressÂ’s sudden comment. He held one of his paws in the other and leaned away from her, his eyes scanning her, looking for something. Not finding what he was looking for, he shook his head and went back to his gentle tapping. The waitress shook her head sadly and walked off to a different customer, leaving the ghostly being to his relentless watch. Waiting.
Illucien stalked along the piers, the hungry look of a predator on the prowl smouldering in her hellish eyes. The air around her seemed to be a swirling mass of maliciousness and the reek of death. One glance at her face sent the locals surrying out of her way. Her brow was fixed in a deep furrow, and a dark scowl twisted her paper thin lips into a disguisting line that split her gaunt features into a terrifying efigy; an embodiment of hell on earth. She was on the prowl for entertainment, but none of the pendragons that had crossed her path had caught her eye. All of them were like terrified sheep scurrying from the lone wolf; too cowardly to even consider the fact that she might not give a damn about their presence. As she passed a tiny eatery, a rather haggard looking pendragon caught her eye. He looked rather... worn out. As if something had left him outside to weather the elements a little to long. Deciding he would be her plaything for the night, she abrubtly switched gears. A coy smile appeared on her face, and her formerly tense body relaxed visably. She pointedly tucked the stiff material around her body, hiding her skeletal frame from view. As a finishing touch, she hide her tail scythe under the trailing edge of her coat. Now fully androgenous to the eye, and looking only slightly out place with her vivid green hair and large claws, she confidently strode up to the table the male was seated at. <span style='color:gray'>"Nemp ev E qyem iyo paujats?"</span> She purred. Grabbing a near by chair, she dragged it over to his table and sat down. Leaning forward, she placed her elbows on the table, and rested her chin on the palms of her hands. <span style='color:gray'>"Nui E utc iyoj muna?" </span>she cooed smoothly, the tiny grin on her face seeming out of place in contrast to her rather corpse-like appearace.
Lien'zie looked up at the pendragon who approached him. A sudden revelation crossed over his face, as if he had suddenly found something he had lost years ago. He watched her as she sat down his eyes still wide. Then a feeling he had long since forgotten passed over him. For a moment his mind was clear, his face was calm. He stared through his small window of vision at the pendragon that had approached him. She had a strange ora about her, foreboding and evil and yet he welcomed it. He calmly watched her sit down before the familiar confusion of thoughts and memories clouded his mind once again. He worked through it and worked out a few words. <span style='color:gray'>"E un munap Lien'zie. Iyojtalv?"</span> He said lifting a grey eyebrow at the femme. He recognized her. Somewhere in his mind he knew her, he had seen her before. He tried to remember where, when but his mind refused, it was to much. Was it a dream? No it had been real. He looked at her again, and then looked back at the table and started to tap at it again. <span style='color:gray'>"Fhus et es iyo fums?"</span> He said looking up at her again, his back arched over, leaning over the table. The question had not been for the reason any one other than himself would ask it. He did not by any means wish to know why she had sat down next to him, the thought had not occurred to him and if it had, he did not know it. He really wanted to know why he remembered her, what was it he had seen? He looked back down at the table again. She made him nervous, though he welcomed the company.
Illucien smiled slowly. <span style='color:gray'>"Ni muna et Illucien."</span> She said, carefully eyeing the old male. He seemed rather... 'out of it', but then again, old age does effect one's mind in odd ways.<span style='color:gray'> "Fhus py E fums? Myshemd nokh paujats, qots u lessla kyngumi. E hyga ni gjatamka etm's ryshajemd iyo." </span>she said amiably. She slowly tapped a long claw against her scaled cheek, in time to Lien'zie's own tapping. There was something odd about him, about his facial expression. It was if he wasn't all there, like part of his mind was off in the distance. She tilted her head to the side and looked at him curiously. <span style='color:gray'>"Fhus um ypp vallyf..." </span> she murmured under her breath. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a waitress approaching. The female was probably under the opinion that she was Lien'zie's dinner guest, or something like that. She mentally sighed, but put on a sweet smile all the same. Illucien politely declined her offer of a beverage or 'somethin' to eat'. She didn't need to fill up on half-cooked gruel when she might be having a rather large meal later on tonight. The thought brought a tiny edge of malicious intent to her smile, and her eyes narrowed to thin, watchful slits. <span style='color:gray'>"Nui E utc fhus rjemd iyo haja?"</span> she queried the eldery male softly .
Lien'zie considered her name for a moment, as if hoping it would bring a strand of clarity to his cluttered thoughts or 'ring a bell' as he had often heard it put. After a moment of tossing the thought about in his mind for a bit the female spoke again. Lien'zie's face lit up for a moment. He was glad to hear she wished for company as well, even if her presence was unnerving, he welcomed it. Not many had come to sit by his side so willingly before. He let a nervous smiled wreath it's way on to his grey features as she tapped to his own rhythm. A kind enough pendragon she seemed to him. His eyes, aside from their lack of sight, could not perceive the small signs that would have made him think otherwise. Once again he cleared his mind as best he could to answer the female. <span style='color:gray'>"My jautym. E shemc E nedhs ra fuesemd vyj tynayma....."</span> He trailed off. He did not in fact know why he was waiting here. He did not even know how long he had been sitting in that very spot. The thought brought a shiver running up his spine. For a moment he forgot what he was doing there. He looked around confused and then set eyes once again on the female pendragon and remembered why he had not yet left. Then his face lit up with sudden recognition as he realized once again he had seen her before. <span style='color:gray'>"Huba E raam fuesemd vyj iyo?"</span> He asked, shifting slightly on his chair and flicking his lifeless tail. He kept his eyes on her, wondering if it was true.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td> Ick, short post, suffering writers cramps x.x</td></tr></table> Illucien raised a thin eyebrow. <span style='color:gray'>"Uja iyo fuesemd vyj na?"</span> she asked, <span style='color:gray'>"E pym's raleaba fa huba nas ravyja, paujats."</span> she added. Illucien smiled, <span style='color:gray'>"Ros shus nedhs mys naum umishemd, E py huba tokh u rup nanyji vyj vukat."</span> She shrugged. It was true, she tended to ignore most individuals, seeing large crowds as one large mass... unless she was on the prowl of course. <span style='color:gray'>"Ros fhashaj yj mys iyo uja fuesemd vyj na, es't u glautoja sy naas iyo Lien'zie."</span> she purred. This odd male could prove to be suffecient entertainment for her. She would be able to toy with him for a while longer before she made her final move.
Lien'zie's smile faded for a moment, a little disappointed. Another one of those strange dreams perhaps, he told himself reasuringly. He remembered this happening to him before, situations similar to this. He shrugged to himself as she had. He looked up at her and once again started to tap absent mindedly on the table. <span style='color:gray'>"Gajhugt mys. Ni nanyji hut yvvsam vuelap na. Aeshaj fui, E syy un glauta sy naas iyo nett."</span> He smiled apologeticaly and continued his tapping. He lifted his head slightly and looked out to the waters of the ocean, glimering with the waning light of the evening sun. He sighed and looked over to Illucien and then back to the water. <span style='color:gray'>"Es et rauosevol E shemc, sha fui sha ledhs klemdt sy sha fusajt."</span> He said it more to himself that to the other pendragon, momentarily lost in thought. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Salright. ^^</td></tr></table>
Illucien nodded slowly, looking out at the rippling water. <span style='color:gray'>"Es et rauosevol... E thyolp kyna sy sha kyuts nyja yvsam... Es hut raam vuj syy lymd temka E luts tas aiat ym sha fusajt..." </span>she mused. Under the table her tail slowly swished back and forth, the scales rubbing dryly against the stiff material of her coat. The strange article of clothing appeared to made of some foreign leather, dyed black and obviously well worn; the trailing edges tattered and stained. Oddly enough, some parts looked... 'newer' than others, as though she had been patching it up over the years. Illucien mentally smiled, Oh how she loved her coat... Absentmindedly picking at the frayed and split ends of her bangs with her free hand, she continued to tap along with the elderly one accross from her. Eventually she would have to lure him to somewhere more secluded, but for now at least, she was willing to let him lead the encounter.
Lien'zie nodded in agreeance to the rythm of the tapping. The ocean was lovely, chaotic and ever churning and yet calm and soothing on the surface. He sighed and looked over at Illucien. His mouth twitched into a nervous smile. He thought of the cool waters gently lapping at the shore. He could not remember the last time he had felt water on his weary paws. Perhaps in truth he had never even considered it. He might have in fact never even thought about the ocean before. In the last few minutes his mind had become clearer then he could ever remember it being. Yet strange thoughts and dreams still flewaround his head, seeming to want to warn him of something, but not finding the right way to. The whole ordeal made him edgey. <span style='color:gray'>"Thull fa suca u klytaj lyyc? "</span> He almost blurted out. He wanted to be able to remember the cool feeling he knew was there. But remember it for what he did not know. He cocked his head to the side, his neck cracking slightly as he awaited an answer to his hastily asked question.
Illucien smiled sweetly, nodding to Lien'zie. <span style='color:gray'>"Sy ra gajvaksli hymats, E fut uryos sy toddats es nitalv."</span> she lied. Although this could prove to be the opportunity she was looking for. Slideing her chair back, she stood up in a rustle of heavy leather and dry scales. Illucien stepped around the table, to stand by Lien'zie. She offered him a bony hand, <span style='color:gray'>"Ullyf na sy halg iyo og Lien'zie."</span> she offered pleasantly. A small part of her wondered if the old male would even be able to make the short trip; he appeared so unsteady, almost as if he was not long from death's door already. Illucien mentally sighed, she would probably be doing him a favor. A swift, relatively painless death by her claws would surely be more humane than letting this fellow continue on in his current state of being.
Lien'zie smiled happily, like a child who has just recieved a lolly pop after their shots at the doctors. He hummed a section of a song he had once known to himself. The entire song and even the words he had long forgoten, but for now he could enjoy the small snipet of verse. With a renewed smile he excepted her hand and helped himself up on to his frail feet. He was instantly reminded why it had taken him so long to decide to leave the restaurant. He let out a soft groan as he did his best to balance his weight on his paws. His stiff grey fur seemed to stand on end. He looked up at Illucien with a thankfull smile. <span style='color:gray'>"Ump yvv fa dy."</span> He chickled hartily, the laugh seeming to shake his very foundation. He took a few steps forward, getting his bearings. He paused a moment as if trying to remember how he had done this before.. Then with a slight improvement he strided toward the door of the restaurant, towards the sea.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td> Very sorry for the delay! Life was being all icky and junk <:[ Pardon my slowness </td></tr></table> Illucien smiled to herself, nodding to Lien'zie and beginning to purposefully tread towards the glittering sea. She kept one keen eye on the rickety male, ready to offer her arm if he needed it. After all, just because she was going to eat him didn't mean she had the right to be rude. Manners were very important to Illucien, as without them she was little more that the beasts she fed upon. After all, the 'dragon's these days were just so rude! Bustling about, like mindless sheep... Illucien sighed, blowing stray bangs clear of her face. The fact the sun was setting greatly relieved her, bright lights were never her sup of tea. Besides, the shimmering lights out over the water were quite beautiful, giving her even more reason to want to approach them.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Sokay, I figured it was something like that. ^^ How about we finish this?</td></tr></table> Lien'zie walked slowly even with the aid of Illucien. A giant toothy grin was plastered on his face. For some reason this seemed like some great adventure to him, then again he could not even remember the last time he had done anything so this was like new. His blind eye trailed over the shimering waters as if it could see them, while his good eye did the same. He looked up at Illucien and then down at the ground to watch his feet and help him to keep his balance. As they reached the sandy beach Lien'zie stopped. The soft ground was almost too hard for him to walk on, as it gave way instead of giving him support. He sighed and stomped one of his feet weekly on the ground. He looked out to the sea and emembered something about it. The shimering sea was a special memory, though his memory was of this sea and these exact waves. This thought did not disturb him, as this had happened many times before. As he watched he found himself predicting the paths of the waves exteamly acurately. He looked over at Illucien once more and he knew where he had seen her. <span style='color:gray'>"E jananraj iyo, tsumpemd fesh na ri sha tau. Es fut ni luts shyodhs. "</span> He said happily, like some child who has finished their first puzzle of their favorite tv character.
Illucien stepped lightly on the soft sand, her feet dragging deep trenches in the ground. Lien'zie seemed to have difficulty with the shifting terrain beneath him, and she stood close, one hand hovering near his shoulder incase she was needed to provide support. The old ones words echoed through her skull, making her pause, looking out over the water. <span style='color:gray'>"Iyoj luts shyodhs?"</span> she asked, shifting her weight from foot to foot. This old one was possibly more insane than she had first assumed. Either that, or simply one of those overly spiritual types. She was more inclined to believe the former.
Lein'zie nodded happily at his own discovery and looked back at the sea. No more strange thoughts or memories came to him, just the gentle throb of the waters. <span style='color:gray'>"Iat."</span> He said simply. He could tell she did not beleive him, many others didn't either. He had cared before and tried to make them understand but it was to no avail. In this case however, he was not inclined to convince her. Besides, she had been nice enough to help him down to the water's edge. It would not be gracious to start an argument on his part. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly and started to hum a little tune to himself.
