Mia (Winter), 81378 Talon retraced his steps for the third time that night, following his path back through the trees. He kept his head down, deep in thought. He took every turn and curve possible, weaving a strange path through the trees, but somehow remembering his previous path exactly. He let the butt of his partisan drag along the ground, but using his powers to lift the end a few centimetres from actually touching it, so that he could retrace his steps without help. He eventually came back to the gates, and he turned again and walked back on the exact path he had walked before...
Mint had been sitting in a nearby tree resting and trying to get away from school when she noticed a single 'dragon walking back and forth continuously. She stiffled a laugh as he walked by again and decided to say something to him when he came back. She waited patiently for what seemed like hours, she then realized that he must be walking a lot farther than she had expected, he wasn't just pacing back and forth. He was either stupid or really anxious or nervous agout something. As he came past her again she jumped from the trees ontp the ground saying Why are you walking back and forth?
Talon raised his head, his pupiless eyes glowing eerily in the moonlight. I didn't realised I was... I'm just thinking about my future... He said, and leaned against the tree, just then realising how cold it really was... He shivered and pulled his robe up tighter around his neck. What are you doing out here at this time of night young lady? You should be indoors! He scolded, but trying his best not to shiver, and show authority...
Mint could tell that the other dragon was cold but wasn't sure how she knew. She looked around at the stars in the sky and the giant white eerie orb that hung lopsided in the night sky. She felt the cold brisk wind mat her fur into knots and she smiled I love the cold weather, it feels so threatening and warm at the same time. You might not understand but I was born in a desert so cold weather is a little new to me and I like new things. What kind of future? A happy one? A sad one? I always wanted to be powerful and remembered when I die, but I never found it as confusing as you seem to...
"An Anubi at Janardan? Well this is new in my book...I thought your kind were too proud to come down to our level. All the ones I met said they would teach here but never learn here." Nekhalla could be seen with her white Cucu pading next to her, the Cucu looked like a lynx, but had short fur and was oviously built for the desert. Her eyes seemed to glow slightly in the moonlight. Her curly brown was nearly to her waist. Her fur is black and red, and blended with the night. She had an evil smirk on her face, the Cucu was rather confused by the Anubi also. It hung closly to Nekhalla's legs though. Her meetings with Anubi she rarely talked about, though it was well known it was often. She wore no hat tonight...this was a very rare event, she was usually never seen without a hat. You could see her ears fully, they looked simular to the Anubi's but still had a normal feel to them. "The future holds many things. One thing is certain though: Questions. There will be questions, and some of them may not have answers, others do but their answers have been forgotten, others just won't be said. There will always be Questions, which is what you have to do to discover your future."
As Usual, Joey was near her tree. Not in her quadriped form though. She was in her Humanoid form. She busied herself, not minding the conversation near by and just licked a hunk of ice she yanked off the tree. Joey is a true Oddball. She didnt care though.
Thi and Ras, another Anubi, swooped down. Thi rested a hand on Talon's shoulder. She smiled encouragingly as Ras walked up to him and held out a paw in greeting as he noticed Talon was just like him. Seems this encounter has drawn quite a crowd, huh? he said to Talon as Thi approached Nekhalla. Though your interpretation of the future is correct, your interpretation of Anubi is inncorrect. Perhaps the ones that you have spoken to are snobby, but certainly not these two. she gestured at Ras and Talon. A golden trisk jumped landed on Talon's partisan before re-launching at Thi's shoulder and settling there with an indignant squawk at Nekhalla and her cucu.
Mint jumped into the conversation as she dropped down from her perch in the tree. I don't think to have met an Anubi before...until now at least. I'm Mint, a Kosa, if it's worth anything. Mint sat near Nekhalla wondering why it was so strange to see an Anubi at Janardian, Mint doubted what Nekhalla had said was even half true.
Wow we have a full house tonight, minus a werewolf and a Vampire...I might be able to get both though She smirked and laughed on the inside. It was nice and cool to her...then again she loved cold weather. It was dark also...making it all the better. When the wind blew she loved to let it go thru her hair. Trust me...I know more about the Anubi then anyone here should know... What this ment could be alot of things. Whoever knew what it ment would mostlikely not tell though. She brushed her hair out of her face. She twitched her ears for some random reason. Her brown hair bounced a little when she turned her head around to get a better look at everyone. It was quite an interesting group.
Out of Character

Sorry everyone! I fergot bout this rp...>.< It's a fullh ouse alright... Two Post rule k? :D :P

Talon nodded in agreement, shocked by the number of people prowling around in the dark. I never learned much about my Anubi heritage... I kinda just assumed it was the fur... He explained to everyone, quickly shaking Ras' hand. He leaned forward heavily on his partisan, feeling like an old man yet again. The spirit inside him was freaking out at this particular moment, although through Talon's mental strength it soon quieted down. If any of your could provide me some things about my culture or race history I would be grateful... He beamed at them all in a friendly manner, and sat down on a tree stump that was luckily nearby. He listened intently, although seeming to not pay attention as he looked his partisan over. The sand colored gem in the hilt gleamed dully in the moonlight, replaying scenes of Anubi history that were long since forgotten. It was the only thing he could scavenge from his ruined home on that dreadful night so long ago...
If you want to know more about your race...you sould most likely make a trip out to the Uhai, you should be able to read most of the stuff just for being an Anubi...but don't tell anyone what you learn or you could wind up dead. Its just the way things are, if you really want to get to know things better seek out Umoeral Paush he can help you out. Nekhalla seemed to know what she was talking about, even though she didn't look Anubi at all, except maybe the ears. She had experiance in the area, though she didn't say how she did, she just did. She didn't talk about it much, and only to a select few. It was just her way. For that matter she didn't do much talking at all that wasn't to put people off.
Thi immediattley seemed to resent Nekhalla and also to hate her. she turned her back to her and crossed her arms before walking back to the now seated Talon and Ras. Panik, her Trisk was being held back from attacking both Nekhalla and her cucu by one of Thi's thumb and forefinger pinched together on one of Panik's feet.
The cucu noticed the bird and started to cling tighter to Nekhalla's leg sensing the anger in the bird. Nekhalla bent down and picked him up carefully and started to pet his belly. This made him very happy and her started to purr. He was a very cute thing with big purple eyes and his wiry frame. She had rescued him and he had decided to stay with her. He was an outcast by his clan and now he had a home that made him happy. Nekhalla giggled a little bit. Not to mention you'll see a bunch of these guys. This is Dos, an Uhai Desert Cucu. Though I would stay far away from them, you could get yourself hurt. They may be cute but they pack a punch, even this guy I've seen atempt to rip apart Jemdrull players, he could have done it too if I didn't call him off, though right now I think he's perfectly happy just being pet. She was telling a true story, when she was a little bit younger and living in Watani there was a guy who usually picked on her. One day he had tried to choke her to show off to his friends, he came out with over a hundred stitchs and missing three claws. Thats when Nekhalla learned that maybe she could be brave too, and stand up for herself.
Talon sighed, setting his partisan down, butt first. All of you really should be indoors at this time of night... But I guess I don't have much authority in this state. He grunted and stood up again, brandishing his partisan and twirling it a few times to try and keep his mind off the immense pain the spirit was brewing up in an attempt to take control. He grunted again, and leaned heavily against a nearby tree, staggering under the weight of the pressure and dull throb of his nerves buckling. He lost control for a split second, emiting a cloud of toxic dark energy, but caught it quickly, edging away from everyone and slowly creeping into the woods, away from whoever was sparking the spirit. He howled to the moon, which just recently turned bright red, and stared at his partisan. The gem was replaying a scene of destruction, a robed figure with pure white eyes was casting speels of darkness and chaos upon a mighty city. He gasped as he recgonized the figure from his mirror. He stumbled farther into the woods, fighting off the spirit, until he collapsed from the effort and could only lie there, fighting a mental battle with the spirit who so badly wanted to get out at this particular moment... Fromina help me... He muttered...
Ras looked at Talon a bit confusedly as he stumbled off. Talon! Thi yelled releasing Panik's foot which sent her soaring twords the cucu before she realised her owner's mood had changed. Thi ran off after Talon and when she caught up to him, she knelt down, pushing hair behind her ears and helping Talon sit up. She held his chin in her hand and stared directly into his eyes. It's gonna be ok Talon. She said before hugging him tightly.
Nekhalla had put the Cucu down and then whipped around to see Talon, only too late to see her best friend being attacked by a stupid bird. She was caught between two hard places. Paush, Lady, I could do with your help right now... She muttered under her breath and almost on cue a black cloud appeared. She nodded too it then lunged at her cucu, curling herself around him and turning her back to the bird, Dos was heavily hurt and crying in pain. Nekhalla carefully shushed him and pet him and told him it would be alright. The bird kept hitting her back, digging its claws in everytime, she really didn't care though, Dos was alright and that was all that mattered. He looked at her completly helplessly and like a lost puppy. She held him close she herself near tears from pain and relief. At this point blood was dripping down both of them, luckily she wasn't wearing a good jacket or shirt. Her hair was begining to matte and his white fur was stained red. The black cloud collected itself in the form of a black Anubi. He had glowing, pupiless red eyes. He was dressed in the clothes of an Anubi priest and had the symbolic Gold Guantlets of a High Priest. He ran over to Talon and Thi. Thi I want you to run, don't ask me how I know your name just do it...This is something that doesn't concern you and could potentially be very dangerous...Not only does Talon have a very serious problem, a werewolf is in the woods tonight, for it is a full moon. She may stand out because of her color, but her strength and speed is unmatched. The dragon took hold of Talon and then looked down at the stone and frowned, he knew where it was from. He also knew that this spirit was destructive, could be someone he knew, or someone who wanted revenge on him. He looked in the stone and his eyes grew wide. The whole scene ment something to him. He carefully tucked it down Talon's shirt, 'Thi can't see that...the Code says so...', thought the dragon. Oh and get you bird before it rips out Nekhalla's spine...
Out of Character

Obviously really late if you don't want me to stay say so i have other post to do anyway, ill try to join in, but im kinda confused

Mint watched silently listening to the conversation and looked at the black cloud as it formed, probably because Nekhalla. Mint looked down at Thi curiously wondering if Thi would even move from her position. Mint could tell Thi wasn't very fond of Nekhalla and frankly Mint thought the 'dragon to be a drama queen. Mint walked nearby Thi looking over at Nekhalla. And what of the other people who don't have the... privelage of your warning?
The Dark One came into control in a torrent of dark energy, enough suffocate the mightiest spirits and send them into the void. He stood up, twirling Talon's partisan, the once sand colored gem now a dark purple, the gem itself now seeping dark energy as it's owner was. Run, every one of you, for I cannot allow my host to learn anything. If you escape now I will not pursue you, and let you live... The Dark One snarled, and hit the butt of the weapon on the ground twice. A blue shockwave of crackling energy ensued, knocking those standing off their feet and to make matters worse, a cloud of dark energy followed the spell, threatening to consume those without protection in a spray of corroding acidic toxins...
Thi stared at the Anubi Panik she called and held out her arm as the Trisk flew to it. Besides, I have been with Talon before when problems like this have arisen She turned as the Dark One broke through. Talon! she cried and gripped his shoulders. I know you're in there!! Ras stood to the side watching the whole scene play out
The black Anubi put his arms up in a defensive position, he slightly levitated off the ground as to avoid the shockwave, he landed again. He mumbled something under his breath and a wind picked up and swirled the toxins into a ball which he promptly disappated. Nice try...Demon...many have threatened me before, why is it that you seek not to let your host know of his own people, for that matter why doesn't he know of his own people? He is an Anubi after all and so few of us know the code today...maybe he could become a priest saying there are so few left that know the secrets of the temples. It is strange he is at Janardan to begin with, Anubi are not ment to mingle this closely with the outsiders for it is too tempting to let something slip. Then of course death is the answer, you already knew that though... This dragon oviously was thinking of something. His gauntlets engravings at this point rearanged themselves into a different set of engravings. It was quite stange actually, they seemed to do it on their own. Like they had a mind of their own... The scars on his arms and legs were prominate in the moonlight, as was his shadow, it was very strange thing, it sometimes seemed to shimmer a little bit, and shift, like it was something else. He seemed to be more then he appeared to be, then again what Anubi wasn't? Nekhalla hugged Dos tighter as she felt the bird back off, she couldn't move she hurt so much. Dos was shaking and pawing at her. Nekhalla was still trying to make him feel better, though it was more for herself then him. She was tired at this point and wanted it all to be over. There was nothing she could do though, she had almost let her secret out and now they may ask her about it...for now though she only need try to not think about the pain.
