Timestamp: Mia 42, 81380 Who: Chz ~ Purple N Nyx ~ Red Where: Mage Guild Clothing: Chz – White turtleneck Black jeans with snowflakes embroidered on them and black boots. Nyx – Brown turtleneck Black jeans and black boots Nyx was sitting at one of the tables, when she heard one of the main doors open. She instinctively turned and looked. She let out a laugh, when the doors opened but, no one walked inside. That could only mean it was Chz reading as she was walking again. She was amazed that the young thill hadn’t been injured yet. She called out,"<span style='color:red'>Chz, watch out for the rack, it has been moved.</span>" Chz was so engrossed in her new book, that she barely heard Nyx call out. She carefully avoided the rack, and closed her book. She looked up and grinned. She stopped for a moment, there was an Arden standing with Nyx. She wondered who it was. She had never heard Nyx mention anyone before but, who really cared. She looked happy for once. She heard other voices; she stepped inside the room, and looked over and grinned even bigger when she spotted Sejv. She looked at all three of them, and sat down at the table. They seemed deeply engrossed in some conversation. She did not want to interrupt them. She carefully put her backpack under the table, and opened up her book again. She started reading once again. Within a couple of minutes, she had completely tuned out the conversation going on next to her.
Sejv was sitting with both his legs up on one of the stools, his boots just resting off the ground. He didnÂ’t normally do that but today they were clean so he was just making the most of it, he was playing with a new book he had "obtained* from a private collector. It was surprisingly interesting and it seemed to be about teaching the art of magic through various and bizarre techniques. He smiled though when he heard Nyx call out, the menace Chz was about with her random and explosive powers. She was mad yet insanely talented, he was almost afraid of how powerful she would be later on. Still it kept the guild on its toes, and the teachers. A fire damper spell was essential and so was a gravity incantation, that girl was constantly doing things she shouldnÂ’t.
Raizan just smiled at nyx, then looking at chz. <span style='color:purple'>So you must be the troublemaking apprentice</span> He said to chz, looking at the book she was reading.
Chz looked up from her book, which the name of was Sha heppam fympajt yv Salacematet Bylona Sfy,and smiled. She laughed. <span style='color:purple'>Yep, that would be me. You obviously have heard about me. So, it is only fair that I get to ask who you are.</span> She peered over at Sejv, and wondered what he was reading. She reached down, and carefully moved her backpack closer to her. She just hoped that none of the other three had noticed. Nyx smiled as Raizan spoke to Chz. She didn't pay a whole lot of attention. She was busy looking at this idea she had came up with on paper, about a type of two way radio system. <span style='color:red'>Hmm, it would be useful but, would it work.</span> She muttered to herself.
Sejv just waved an idly hand at Chz, not paying her a massive amount of attention really as he was too engrossed in his book. It was absolutely fascinating and a real eye opener. It stated that a teacher should not really on his own talents but try and focus on the talents of the student, but also test them with simple yet difficult tasks. Certain things that could only be done unless the student accepted a few things, like the state of their mind. Power of the spell made no difference. "Hey Chz, be careful" he said in a monotone voice, like what a guy makes when he is hardly paying attention. Which was surprisingly similar to this situation.
<span style='color:purple'>Raizan, Nyx's boyfriend</span> He said, smiling at her and wrapping an arm around nyx.
Chz listened and smiled. She looked back and forth between Nyx and Raizan. <span style='color:purple'>Oh ok.</span> She looked back down at her book, stood up and wandered into the other room. She called out, <span style='color:purple'>Sejv, if I move the bookshelves out of they way, may I use the this portion of the glass wall?</span> She thought for a moment and then called out again, <span style='color:purple'>Nyx, I am going to practice a different style of telekinesis, if Sejv says I can do what I just asked him. That ok?</span> Nyx looked up and smiled at Raizan. She heard Chz call out to Sejv, she raised an eyebrown but, didn't say anything. When Chz called to her, she responded in a distracted voice, <span style='color:red'>Yeah, I guess so.</span> She muttered to Sejv, <span style='color:red'>I wonder what she has on her mind this time.</span>
Sejv lowered his book and looked at Chz with a face of horror and raised eye brows, he could swear the amount of thought in her brain stopped as soon as it reached the point where it got to consequences. It was like she just didnÂ’t see the obvious fact of playing with her powers. He put the book down after noting the page and gave her a funny look. "Chz are you mad, glass breaks and your shouldnÂ’t be using your powers on guild furniture, if you rack up a bill you can get kicked out. Why donÂ’t you go to the arena and practice." he said with a odd look. He was really worried about her, lately she had just thrown all regard for the safely of others down the drain. He had heard she had got into trouble Janardan too for using her magic. She needed to get into her head that magic was a grave responsibility and you cant just throw it around.
<span style='color:purple'>What do you mean nyx?</span> Raizan asked about her earlier statement. He did feel sorry for chz when she got snapped at, but sjev was right, magic was not a toy, and you had to be careful with it.
Chz frowned. She sat down and thought for a few minutes. She sighed. Sejv, as usual was right. She wasn''t quite sure, why she had thought this was a good idea, especially know that she had just read. To do this correctly, one must stand behind the glass. She blinked and looked down, at the words. She cursed to herself, and shut the book. She stood up and grabbed her backpack, opened it looked around and grabbed another book. She giggled as usual when she read the title, Taz, hyf sy jaluz ty iyo uja urla sy amqyi es. She quickly put it back, on the shelf where she had originally found it. She returned to her backpack, and walked back into the other room. She placed the book, she had been reading on the table in front of Sejv. <span style='color:purple'>Sejv, you are right. I think I should just give this book to the guild. After rereading the page I was concentrating on, I am beginning to think that is it a little to advanced for me to be considering. I think I will go into the arena, as you have suggested</span> Nyx looked over at Raizan and raised an eyebrow. <span style='color:red'>Why, because doesn't just come up with these ideas of hers without, watching someone else or reading it first.</span> She said, in a serious tone. She leaned over and glanced at the book, that Chz had set in front of Sejv. She shook her head and said, <span style='color:red'>Geeze, that book is almost bigger than she is. She must have been at the market again</span> She looked down at the paper she was studying, and muttered <span style='color:red'>Even, if it did work, it would probably be broke on the first attempt, of using it.</span> -- Chz walked into the arena, and sat her backpack down, on one of the shelves. Today there weren't any stone golems and she quickly moved the weapon racks to the walls. She walked to the middle of the room, and sat with her back against the statue. She closed her eyes, and cleared her mind. In the next moment, she lifted into the air, she glanced down at her textbook, read over the instructions, and closed her eyes again. In a moment, she started making small tight circles, slowly as she gained confidence, the size of the circles increased. She for once had thought ahead, and set up something, incase she lost her concentration, and fell.
Sejv sighed as he put down his bock and folded it into the realms of his robe as it disappeared from sight, he dusted himself down as stood to his feet, testing out the ankle support of his boots again before giving a salute to Nyx and her man. "Well I'll be off now, gotta keep an eye on her. two if possible, breaking mirrors is never a good idea really." He said as he began pacing down towards the arena and making sure she didnÂ’t do anything stupid. "Catch ya later." he said as he made his way down to the area. he didnÂ’t approve of her picking up all this dangerous books, some were really far to dangerous for her young mind to be exposed to. He just hoped he wasnÂ’t to late.
<span style='color:purple'>See ya</span> He said to sejv, watching him go down the hallway towards the arena. <span style='color:purple'>Hmm?</span> He asked, peering at the design she was studying. <span style='color:purple'>Ya know, we are alone in here</span> He said, hoping to get a rise out of her. It was always fun to get her choked up.
Chz continued to do the full body circles. She was relatively bored but, at the same time. She realized that to move on to the next lesson, she had to be able to do this perfectly. Recently something inside her had changed. She was distracted less, and was finally beginning to realize that some of her ideas, could due more harm than good. She thought to herself, I am going to continue to go to the market but, I will start checking with Sejv before, I consider trying anything. I want to eventually become a journeyman but, I have to be more patient, less distracted and continue to keep my temper in check.. Nyx looked over at Raizan and smiled. <span style='color:red'>Yes, I am aware that we appear to be alone but, in all reality, around here there is always someone listening somewhere.</span> She leaned over and gave him a quick peck. She sat down, and leaned back into her chair, and sighed.
Sejv stood their in the arena entrance, leaning against the wall as he watched the little thill going about her abnormal rituals and crazy practices. He was going to have to accompanying her from now on into the markets, and make sure she didnÂ’t buy any more dangerous books for herself. Still he was curious as to where she was getting them, that part was actually quite impressive. He watched silently, his eyes also surveying the guild arena details and items, it was a magnificent room. Full of statues around the edges where the crowds sat of past champions and heroes. War scars and wounds left their traces though out the place, weapons lay on the floor, odd mechanical traps hidden in waiting. And when it was full of people, the sea of spectators moving as one. You felt alive. Nothing could compare to the thrill of fighting before a full house, even Sejv who wasnÂ’t that keen on fighting could get caught up in it and had on several occasions. The arena served one major purpose though, although Magnus was a pacifist by nature he knew most were not. And the arena served as a place for people to seek out their competitive side and empty their testosterone in a safe way. The area was enchanted and filled with wards to keep people safe, far safer than a brawl in the corridors anyway.
<span style='color:purple'>Awww, you're no fun</span> Raizan said, crossing his arms and doing a fake pout. He was going to get a rise out of her one way or another, then they could check on chz.
Chz started to spin herself faster, she kept her eyes closed. She called out, <span style='color:purple'>Sejv, could you please read me the second paragraph? I have the first part correct, at least I think so. Typically I would have a partner but, I was informed that the arden, has temporarily kicked out of all his classes. If I attempt to read while doing this, I will either end up cleaning up the room, or I am going to lose all concentration.</span> She pointed towards the book. She waited patiently, for Sejv's response. She had this feeling he would do nothing but, shake his head. For once, she was practicing her assignment, and not something, way over her head. -- Nyx just laughed at Raizan's comment. She was wondering what Chz was up to. <span style='color:red'>Maybe, for once Chz is actually practicing something related to school.</span> She cast a sideways glance at Raizan but, didn't say anything. She just smiled.
Sejv frowned for a moment, slightly aggravated that she even knew he was their. He was fairly sure he had been quiet, he would have to do some extra practice on stealth again. He hated stealth lessons , so damm boring until you got to hit people. But it could keep you alive so, well it worked anyway. He walked over to Chz with his boots making prints in the sandy surface, trying not to distract her spinning or anything as he took a peak at the book. It seemed alright to him, although he couldnÂ’t see the name of the spell she was trying to do. "qalli raumt, qaum taunt, tgutsek saunt, hyli nyli ump qorrla rorrla, hukci tukci ump hykci gykci, ulrur py euyp.." He muttered in the ancient tongue, trying to get the thing to work. It was more curious than anything.
<span style='color:purple'>You wanna go check on her, maybe have a duel with me or something?</span> He asked, leaning back in the chair.
Chz couldn't help but, giggle as she continued to spin. She said, <span style='color:purple'>Thank you Sejv.</span> She cleared her mind and repeated the words that he had read off. <span style='color:purple'>qalli raumt, qaum taunt, tgutsek saunt, hyli nyli ump qorrla rorrla, hukci tukci ump hykci gykci, ulrur py euyp</span> She quickly pulled her knee's to her chest, and held on. Sure enough just as her teacher had warned the class, she started bouncing around uncontrollably. She bounced off the arena walls, and off the statue and landed on the sheet, that she had set up incase she fell. She lay there for a few minutes, without moving. As she sat up, she said, in a unamused voice, <span style='color:purple'>I still haven't figured out the point of doing that. At least in here it is better than in water, water hurts more.</span> She climbed off the sheet and walked over to her book, and looked at the next paragraph. She cursed to herself. Gawd, the point of that, is to see if you are able to do it without throwing up. Well, I guess I passed that part....I don't think I am going to like the next lesson. -- Nyx turned to Raizan and grinned. "<span style='color:red'>Duel you, hmm now that sounds like it could be fun. We can look in on Chz at the same time. Can never tell if Sejv, will be ready to strangle her or not.</span> She said with a laugh.
Sejv just stared at her and blinked, totally and utter shock yet loathing on his face. That was singly the most bizarre thing he had ever seen, and when she said the point was to test her stomach, he nearly died from gawping alone. The fact that she didnÂ’t read what the spell was for was alarming enough, since with the books she read it could have ending the world. But he was more worried for her own safety, that spell could have nearly killed her. "Chz, are you mad. Right, next time you want to do some bizarre spell from some dodgy spell, check it by me." He said with an insane look on his face, he was so glad that the weapons were in the rack, if she had hit one of them then who knows what could have happened. It would be like Chz salami, or something equally icky. "And when you go to bhim for more books, can I come too." He said with a bit of a grin too, not wanting to focus on the bad things constantly.
