<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>20 Mia, 81379 Eldasia Khanum Female 33 Teacher at Janardian</td></tr></table> Eldasia padded over to the lake, shivering slightly with the cold. She knew she would warm up when she hit the water, she always did, but that didn't make the slight chill in the air any more pleasant. <span style='color:#669966'>Hmph. Probably'd be warmer were it not for the trees being cut down. </span> The lemur-tailed female walked to a tree next to the water's banks and deposited her bag there. It contained her lunch and a book, as well as her ID and such. There was no swimsuit in there, as Eldasia didn't think she would be much warmer for it, and no one was really around in her corner of the lake. No one much was out, since it was the coldest of Ramath-lehi's quarters. She quickly slipped off her jeans and sweater, folding them neatly before placing them beside her knapsack and putting her glasses on top; sliping her body into the water. It was not so cold once you were it it, though it was chilly when she stuck her head back up in the air. She cursed as she realized she'd left her towel in her room. Shrugging, she tread water for a moment to put her hair up in a loose ponytail, and then began to do laps. They were nice and regular, and good exercise. The water at the lake was not half bad; it was not overtly poisonous, anyway. Eldasia's mind began to drift to other things, like the plant subjects she was going to get for her class. That was the real reason she had come out here, not just for the varience in her exercise routine. She wondered what sort of evergreen seedlings could be found at this time of year; she wanted to bring some in to raise in the class. As she focused on that, the teacher zoned out on the rest of the world.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Char: Haku Telams - 24 -</td></tr></table> Another 'dragon was floating around in the lake as well, half submerged with her eyes closed, listening mostly to the fauna around her who chattered and chirped to her. She was floating on her back, being a pretty okay swimmer on her own. Of course, she had a strange quality. Unlike most 'dragons, she didn't have the luck of talking through her mouth. Instead, she was given the gift to talk to the fuana around her. She could still talk to other pendragons, but only with her telepathic powers. Currently, she wasn't paying attention to the world around her, but her trusty little side kick, a djirus named Seris, sat on the top of her chest and watched the new 'dragon walk into the lake. He chittered, and gave Haku the message of another 'dragon in the lake. Some of the other fauna in the lake gave her information as well, and she decided to just ignore the new 'dragon until it came any closer.
Eldasia's thoughts were interrupted by what she could have sworn was a chatter. It wasn't the background noise that any piece of nature possessed, of birds and such. She twitched her ears towards the source of the sound, and swam over. She figured that the worst case scenario was that it was some wee beastie who could be dangerous, and in that case it would probably run off before she found it. She wasn't afraid of most creatures, aside from the occasional Very Large Predator, and that was only if said predator was focused on her. As she crossed the curve of the lake to expose a new section of the water, Eldasia found the source of the noise. It was a colbalt-blue 'dragon with what appeared to be a pet or something on its chest. Eldasia couldn't tell anything more, as she was too far away and her glasses were on the bank of the lake. She blinked and squinted her eyes, trying to focus them, but it was no use. She couldn't make the blurry figure into something recognizable as anything other than a member of her own species. Continuing her confident strokes forward, Eldasia stopped at what she judged to be about 20 feet away and waved with one hand. <span style='color:#669966'>"Hi! Mind if I join you?"</span> Eldasia didn't want to interrupt the 'dragon if he/she/it (Eldasia hadn't heard a voice or any other noise enough to tell, and was too far away to make out the shape of the body) was doing something that involved privacy, but she was getting bored out by her corner of the lake. She wanted to talk to this 'dragon who was braving the winter chill like herself.
Haku suddenly heard a voice in her mind, and she opened another eye, looking up at another 'dragon in front of her in the water. She gave a small smile, and 'pathed, {Well, hello. And sure, you may join. I'm just relaxing, chatting with some of my friends...} She closed her eyes again, and sighed. She didn't feel any fear herself from the new 'dragon. The fauna felt no fear. So why should she? Seris chattered, and looked up at her, eyes wide with interest. Haku smiled, {Seris says hello as well. He's the djirus sitting on my chest currently...}
Eldasia squinted, trying to see the blotch on the female's (for that was what the 'path had seemed to come from) chest as an animal. She gave up, cursing her extreme nearsightedness. Since the 'dragon had replied by means of telepathy, Eldasia did the same. It was only polite, after all. <span style='color:#99CC99'>{Hello Seris and not-Seris. I'm Eldasia.}</span> Eldasia was now only five feet away, close enough to see most of what was going on around her (though still blurred). She could see that the person in the water was indeed female and did have a djirus sitting on her chest. The djeris was chittering wildly, and so Eldasia smiled at it and waved. <span style='color:#99CC99'>{I'm surprised to find someone else out here... It's getting cold, with it being Mia and all.}</span> Eldasia gave a snort of laughter. <span style='color:#99CC99'>{I'm out here getting biology samples for my class... I teach at Janardian. You said you're here with friends?}</span> Eldasia didn't see anyone (though that meant relatively little) and didn't hear anything that wasn't obviously natural (and she prided herself on having good hearing), so she was slightly confused. <span style='color:#99CC99'>{Are the friends all like Seris? Fauna and things?}</span> The day that Eldasia got a grasp of tact was the day the world ended. The tactless teacher amused herself by twiddling her toes in the water, attracting the attention of some small fish. They were cute little things, for all that they were trying to eat her claws. When she got bored of staring at the fish, she turned back to look at the djeris and 'dragon, waiting for a reply.
