Quarter: Tessera Day: 14 Year: 81377 With a heavy, inward sort of sigh, Kiku slumped up to the main desk, the long bangs of his crimson mane partially hiding his pale, tired eyes from view. He appeared disheveled in general; he had experienced one of those aggravating, sleepless nights, and at this exact moment, he felt that he'd rather be anywhere but here. Still, sheer common sense annoyingly reminded him that he more than likely would not feel this way later, and he needed to get this done, anyway. Notions such as these crowded his frazzled mind, and he could feel himself growing lost in his own thoughts. Shaking his head slightly as if to physically clear these musings, he leaned heavily against the wall near the front desk, waiting to be addressed so that he may proceed to register.
Katrina trotted by in her usual perky manner. She was again looking for someone to pester in her free time, and decided that the Main Office was as good a place as any. Perhaps I ought to be studying... Nah, I'll save that for later. Kat poked her head around the corner and saw a rather interesting 'dragon looking like he could do with a new annoying little friend. She skipped over happily and came to an abrupt halt beside him, not saying a word.
For quite a few minutes on end, the haggard pendragon did not even succeed in noticing the female's presence, so consumed was he in his own thoughts. When he did notice her, it was suddenly and with surprise; he had been casually tossing an impatient glance over his shoulder, and he blinked with a start, taken aback by the fact that another 'dragon had been standing silently beside him without his realization. Not knowing quite what else to do, he gave an amiable, polite smile, accompanied by a respectful nod of his head, and he returned his gaze to the desk before him. However, his mind stayed on the other, and out of the corner of his eye, he checked to see if she was still there, privately wondering if he ought to introduce himself.
Katrina flashed him a rather large grin, showing off a mouth full of teeth. She stayed silent however, wondering how long it would take him to finish. She was not about to be rude, so Kat simply sat and smiled up at him.

;; in character Hart's attention had been elsewhere when Kiku appeared on the scene. So much was going on around her, anyways, and it was hard to pay attention to it all. Even with her abilites, to give everyone her attention was impossible. Writing away on the paper before her, eyes flickered up for a moment, noticed Kat and Kiku, and flickered back. Nothing was wrong with two students being there, though she wasn't entirely sure she'd seen the male before. Perhaps it was merely a coincidence, though she doubted it. Demori prided herself on recognizing names and faces. It was only because she had a keen eye, and a good memory that she managed to keep names straight. Sighing softly, she stopped her writing, and agilely slipped off of her seat, striding over to the pair. She quirked a brow, and tilted her head at them both. "Katrina, don't you have classes? And, ah, young sir, can I help you?" She glanced at Kat in a faintly amused fashion, then back at Kiku.
Katrina's face drained of all expression. "No, Ma'am... This is my free period. I have a bit of time to spare before class." She gave a faint smile to the principle and continued to sit there.
Even as he ceased to observe the other, Kiku could feel her presence strongly. For the moment, however, his pale gaze rested upon the principal as she addressed him. Quickly stowing away any tones of nervousness from his deep, clear voice, he politely and fluidly responded to Hart's inquiry. "Yes, ma'am. My name is Kiku Syko." He paused for only the slightest of moments before continuing, "I would like to register as a student here." Briefly, Kiku wondered if he should add that he was a transfer from another school, but having always been a bit of a shy 'dragon, he was feeling too relieved after having spoken his wishes to dwell long on this thought. His eyes now wandered again to Katrina, then back to Hart; he shifted his weight uneasily, a slight falter in his intentions of appearing confident.
Katrina continued to look at Kiku, or so she had heard his name was. Kiku wasn't a bad name. Kat would have to remember that when she met up with him again. She sat patiently, waiting for him to fill out the forms that would no doubt be hindering further nervous glances that he might have made. Katrina found herself wondering how old he was, where he was from, what his circumatances were and a whole load of other questions. She was also wondering whether or not Ms. Demori minded her being in the Main Office in her free time.

Hart smiled slightly at Kat's words, and nodded acceptance. The principal didn't care if the student wanted to hang around here, as long as she didn't make trouble. If she did, well, then the admistrator would make sure to get rid of her. Until then, it was fine if Katrina wanted to waste her time here. After all, there wasn't actually much to do in this Office. Eyes flickered to Kiku as he, too, spoke, and she nodded again. Tongue flickered out to brush across her lips as she considered, before gesturing with a paw for him to follow - as well as Kat, if she cared to - and walked towards her desk. Tails flicked behind her as she walked over to it, and slipped into her chair, gesturing for them to take the seats in front of it. "Well, then, Kiku, welcome. I'm Hart Demori, Principal of Janardan Academy. This, by the way, is Katrina, one of our other students. As this is her free time, I'm sure she'd be happy to show you around after you are done registering. Now, have you gone to school elsewhere before, or do you need new registration?" She inquired, a single brow quirked.
Katrina sat down as instructed and looked over at Kiku. Then her principal's words reached her ears. She nodded, signifying that she would be glad to show the new student around the grounds. Kat did not want to speak for fear of interupting the business Kiku had to take care of. ((Sorry these posts are getting so short. Hope you all had a super Halloween! ^__^))
Kiku quickly followed suit and claimed the available seat, leaning slightly back in it. After listening in attentive silence to the principal's words, he smiled amiably and responded. "Thank you for the welcome." Following a brief moment of thought, he answered her question in the same polite tone, "Yes, I have gone to school elsewhere before." Inwardly, the 'dragon wondered how much this fact would change the registration process. His mind also wandered over to the prospect of being shown around, and he mused to himself about this. How big were the grounds? How many and what sorts of buildings were there? Within a minute or two, he had quickly ended his aimless thoughts and directed his attention back to Hart and the prospect of registering.
Katrina bit her lip, wondering if the question would be appropriate or not. She assumed that the question would have to be addressed sooner or later, so she fired away. "Do you know where Kiku will be staying ma'am? Several of the new students have been asking for directions to their dorms lately, and I thought that it would be more efficient if I could show Kiku where he would be staying. That way I can help with the moving as well." Kat chewed on her lip a bit more and looked up at Demori. SHe opened her mouth to say more but decided that she had asked enough for the time being.
