1. Tlossi Maajpyfal drew her hood against the cold, lashing rain, and pushed her way up the dark, narrow street against a driving wind. She had just graduated - barely - from Janardan, and had decided to grant herself a holiday. And while lawless Bhim might not seem a vacational spot for most, for Tlossi it sounded perfect.
However, that was before she arrived, via a private Portal in her house, from sunny, lazy Ajita to rainy, windy, chilly Bhim.
Tlossi put her head down, and, persevering against the wind, pushed on to a tavern up ahead, from whence raucous laughter issued from warm, lit windows. A black sign with bawdy red and gold lettering was swinging above the door, reading 'The Fallen Tree' . Sighing gratefully, Tlossi pushed open the door with her shoulder, struggling a moment with the wind, then it slammed behind her.

It was warm inside the tavern's common room, and soon Tlossi found herself seated at a table with a plate of hot food and a generous mug of beer in front of her.
Her table was out of the mainstream, but close enough that Tlossi could observe and listen to the conversations of those nearest her.
The room was large, and many candles attempted to releave the outside gloom - dark had long since fallen - although the light they provided was still dim, and smoky from both the candles, roaring fires in the fireplaces, and pipes, cigars, cigarettes,a nd toher thigns people were smoking.
The tavern was crowded, keeping the scantily-clad waitresses (for here in chilly Bhim, many wore clothing, and often used it as an excuse to accent their charms) busy bustling from table to table.

Tlossi devoured her food. She had received an extraordinarliy large sum of money from her rich, stuck-up, aristocratic parents upon receipt of her graduation diploma, but that was as a reward for graduating. Until then, what little money she'd had she'd made on her own - often in less than honorable - or legal, for that matter, in persnickety Janardan - ways. But if she was moderate, her newfound wealth could last her for several years, and Tlossi did not intend to work untill then. She sighed contentedly. All the effort she'd put into receiving her diploma would not be wasted if it resulted in one long vacation spanning several years time. Especially since she was pretty sure her parents, for once, had no idea where she was. For once, she'd be free of their rigid, containing, old-fashioned ways. Like saving yourself for your husband she thought to herself, and giggled.

Shaking her head, she returned to people-watching. A fair number seemed to have had more than enough to drink. Tlossi debated with herself getting comfortably drunk, but in the end decided that tonight, at least, she would be moderate. If she was going to explore the town thoroughky tomorrow, as she had planned, then she didnt want to start the day looking for a healer to cure the hangover she was sure to get.

So, tonight she would settle for people watching. In rigid Janardan with few lawbreakers, she had had no real friends, barely people to be civil with. Here, she hoped to find more people like her. It seemed promising enough so far.

Tlossi finished her food, pushed back her plate, and gave a slow, confident smile. Yes, this was the place for her alright. What better place to get in trouble and have fun? Trouble was her mainstay, and if she hadnt found some here in a few weeks time, than her name wasnt Tlossi Maajpyfal.

2. The small Raruz Kilarei sat in the shadows in a corner of the tavern, the hood of his black cloak thrown over his head. Lime coloured ears protruded from holes cut in the top, and swivelling about the tavern. Trouble was his middle name. Two bright lime green specks began to shine from beneath the hood, surrounded by dark grey irises. This is gonna be fun.. he thought, as he looked about.

He was rather young, yes, but none-the-less knew what trouble was and how to cause it. He'd lived his short life by himself, fending and caring for himself. He was a strong male, even if he was young. He waited to make his entrance; he thought he could start some trouble himself.

4. Tli walked along the streets of Bhim, her eyes darting back and forth for any unsuspecting Pendragons she could mug. It had been a while since she had stolen anything, but she had enough treasures to last her a while anyway. She was clad in a cloak with a hood attached to it. She did not expect to get anything here, most of the Pendragons here were crooks and liars themselves, and they wouldn't let her have any of their treasures. She came to Bhim so she could once again be with her kind, instead of the kind hearted idiots in other areas. What was so fun about being honest anyway? Cheating and lying was so much more fun...

As she walked down the streets, she noticed a tavern, "The Fallen Tree", which seemed to glow with warmth, and she headed for there. Tli didn't like rain or wind, made progression through anywhere slower. She entered the tavern and took a seat at the pub and traded in a diamond for a full course meal. It was a fake diamond, and Tli had to hold in a laugh as he saw the waitress admire the gem. Fool she thought with a grin and continued to eat her meal and take drinks from the mug of beer which they placed in front of her. As she ate, she noticed a young pendragon. Only about 7 00 year old... What was a young Pendragon like him doing in a place like this?... She shrugged it off and calmly continued her meal.

Tlossi glances up briefly as someone walks into the warm tavern, out of the harsh weather raging outside. She looks her over, checking her out, making guesses on her area of business. The she deliberately looks away and raises her hand to signal the waitresses attention. Finally, a buxom waitress bustles over, her low neck showing a large expanse of voloptuous busom.

"And how may I be helping you, miss?"she asked, sounding a bit peeved at being taken away from her crowds of male customers.

"Another beer, please."Tlossi said.

"And how would you be proposing to pay for that, mistress?"the waitress asked snarkily.

"That is none of your concern. I believe Mistress Fhyjeth has the name and number of my account and that of the accountant who handles all my transactions. And should I be telling Mistress Fhyjeth how uncooperative your service has been?"Tlossi said coldly, staring at her with an icy gaze.

Without another word, the waitress staulked off, returning with her beer a few minutes later.

"Mistress Fhyjeth wishes to inform you that she will bear no more insults against her staff. Furthermore, those who pay the most,"and here she glanced significantly towards the group of males she had just left, who were cat-calling for her return,"seem to find my service most cooperative in all their... dealings"she said pointedly, and slamming Tlossi's beer down on the table so that some of the froth flew off into Tlossi's face. Then the waitress stalked off to return to her admirers.

Tlossi glared at her retreating back, then gulped half of her beer in one long drought. She turned her attention back to the one just entering, but in the interlude, she had slipped into the crowd. Tlossi glared indescriminately all around, blaming the world for her bad mood, and downed the rest of her beer. Slamming it down, she went to get another refill herself, since she obviously couldn't count on that so-called waitress.

So much for not getting drunk.Tlossi thought to herself ruefully, two-and-a-half beers later. They hadn't helped - she was still in a terrible mood. And its all that bitches fault, too!she thought to herself, galring as the waitress in question flashed the extremely large and well-muscled wrestler she was serving.

Suddenly Tlossi had had enough. Jumping onto the table with shaky legs she shouted"Alright slut, I've had enough from you. I challenge you, if you dare!"The room went dead silent. The waitress just stared haughtily at Tlossi, looking down her nose at the drunk young woman.

Tlossi's bleary eyes didn't see the two guards coming quietly up behind her until it was too late. As they grabbed her, she roared, screaming and kicking and biting, but their grip was firm and she couldn't free herself.

"I think you've had enough beers tonight, missy."one said as they dumped her in a large puddle outside. Tlossi lunged at him, but her jaws clicked audibly on thin air as he deftly evaded her. He grabbed her by the shoulder, his claws drawing blood, his face an inch from hers.

"And I wouldn't flaunt such jewels, if I were you. My shift here ends in two hours. Watch out for me then - make no mistake, you'll be dead and those pretty little diamonds of yours will be mine by morning."He snarled, cuffing her face and drawing blood once more. Then he slammed the door in her face, leaving her soaking and shivering outside in the cold air and rain which was rapidly turning to snow.

6. Tli stood from her seat and decided she would roam the tavern to find some treasures. Since there would be thieves in here no doubt, they would probably have treasures, but it would be a little harder to take anything. Tli loved a challenge and nonchalantly walked about. She deliberately "accidently" bumped into Pendragons with small sacs and bags, and made sure something dropped out of them each time. By the time she had gone around the tavern, she had separated useless things she had gotten from treasures. It was much easier than she thought it would be, but she decided that she had better leave before everyone started to search for the culprit.

She headed toward the door and noticed guards dragging out a Pendragon who had caused some trouble previously. She was drunk apparently, and had challenged the waitress. Tli remembered the jewelry she had been carrying about with her and decided it was worth a try to steal it. She opened the door and saw the Pendragon sprawled on the floor. It was freezing outside, and he wondered if the Pendragon would attack her. Tli passed by quickly, pretending to take no notice, and when she thought the other Pendragon wasn't looking. She quickly reached for the jewels hoping she wouldn't notice...

7. Tlossi lay where she had slumped after the guard left, shivering. She heard the door open once more, and opened one eye slightly. The jewels she had strung on a necklace about her neck were digging uncomfortably into her skin. Abruptly a paw came into her view, one sharp claw extended. Suddenly Tlossi realized what was intended, and she lunged at the offending paw, teeth bared. If she had her way, her teeth would sink into the soft flesh - painfully deep. Staggering to her feet, Tlossi snarled.
The effects of the beer were wearing off by now, but her speech was still slightly slurred as she yelled "Who the hell do you think you are, bitch!"
She growled menacingly.

8. Tli quickly retreated as the other female Pendragon was about to dig into her flash. She quickly jumped backwards in order to give distance between them. The beer seemed to be wearing off, and she was coming back to her senses. Trying to think quickly of what to say she just blurted something out before the stranger decided to tear her to shreds.

"Sorry, I was just trying to help you up. Did you think I was trying to take that necklace of yours?" Tli said. She was very good at lying after all of these years, but it wouldn't surprise him since it was so obvious what she was doing. She made sure to tuck the treasures she had stolen back in the tavern in her bag so the stranger didn't think it was she was a thief. Of course, it would be hard to notice anything in the bag in the weather at the moment.

9. Tlossi snarled warningly, stepping closer warningly to Tli's hastily retreating form. But she said nothing, although she continued to growl loudly.

10. The pendragon continued to growl at Tli. Tli took several steps back to make sure distance between her and the stranger was large enough. It was obvious the stranger was quite angry, so Tli decided to head elsewhere. She turned to leave, still aware of all the sounds and smells about her, so if the other Pendragon followed, she would be ready.

11. Suddenly all the fight went out of Tlossi. It was bitterly cold outside, n the temperature dropping every minute. She would freeze if she didn't find shelter. And while she didn't trust this stranger, she seemed to know what she was doing, and she was the only person around in the deserted streets at this late hour. So, bitterly swallowing her pride, she jogged up to whre the stranger had turned away and said brusquely"Look, we'll both freeze out here before mornign unless we find some shelter. Do you know of any? This is my first time in the city, and," here she smiled ruefully, I didnt plan on getting thrown out of there!"
She looked a little sheepish. " So, er, um, if we could put our differences behind us..."
She let her voice trail off, kicking herself inside for having put herself in such a position as to have to grovel before a complete stranger who had tried to rob her!

12. "And how do I can trust you?" asked Tli,"but I suppose you can not trust me, so it makes us even."

Tli decided that just once she would do something for someone else. She did not want the other Pendragon to freeze to death. If there was one thing Tli did not enjoy, it was death. I guess she could pay for me... thought Tli.

"There is an inn not too far from here, I know the barkeeper; I did him a favor once, so he'll let me sleep there for a discounted price. If you pay for the both of us, you can sleep there and you get all the free drinks you wish if you need any in the morning," Tli proposed. She had enough to pay for herself, but she couldn't pass up a free night at an in.

13. Tlossi looked hard at Tli for a moment, stopping and turning to face this arrogant stranger."If you're simply trying to ascertain whether I have anything of monetary value on me, I have none besides the jewels around my neck, which are a family heirloom and which I will guard with my life. And I don't not yet believe i know your name?"
If this was just a ruse to fins out if Tlossi carried enough to be worth mugging, than the woman would have none of it. But if it was a genuine offer...

14. "Oh, I guess I got a little ahead of myself," Tli said,"My name is Tli Reskh. May I ask you name?" Tli asked. It felt really strange to not have to pretend to be genuine...

Tli wished that the other Pendragon would hurry up and accept or reject the offer. It was getting colder every second, so cald that Tli had to keep moving or she feared she could freeze. If the other Pendragon did not answer soon, Tli would just have to leave. She could die, but at least Tli would live to see another day.

15.
"I'm Tlossi,"Tlossi said after a moment's hesitation.
She hesitated slightly again, an unusual thing for the brash, cocksure, sensuous, foolhardy-young-woman face she normally presented to the world.
"Alright."she smiled ruefully at Tli, then went on"It doesn't seem like I have much choice, does it?"
Her words were underscored by a shiver, and the snow was starting to fall thicker. The wind echoed noisily in the long, narrow street. they neeeded to get inside as soon as possible, before this turned into a full-fledged blizzard. It might well be several days before it was over, and byb that time, Tlossi and Tli would both be long dead unless they found shelter /now/.
"Hurry up!"she shouted now above the riding wind."We need to get inside now! Which way to the tavern?"
Shivering violently now in her thin cloak - who would have expected such a storm at this late time of year!? - she pulled it closer around her, and moved closer to Tli so as not to lose her in the blinding whiteness that was starting to enswirl them.

16. Tli start running towards the tavern as soon as she herd Tlossi say "Alright". She didn't like the cold, and the sooner she was inside the tavern or in a room, the better. As she trudged through the snow that was beginning to pile up, so she finally made it to the tavern. She looked back at Tlossi to make sure she hadn't gotten lost, and sure enough, Tlossi was there. Tli quickly kicked the snow which had accumulated at the foor of the tavern so the door would budge open. She swung the door open, hurried in and waited for Tlossi to enter before she closed it, blacking the fierce icy cold winds from entering.

The room was filled with several tables where Pendragons drank and laughed merrily, more than half of them were drunk. Tli walked forward to where the Bartender was serving drinks, and got his attention.

"Hey! Ruj! Remember me?" Tli asked.

"O' course I do!" Ruj replied, "You're the one who did me a favor, and the one who tried to make off with my diamond ring! Tli, correct?"

"Eh... sorry about the ring... I have a favor to ask, can my friend and I sleep here for the night? You see, it's freezing cold out there, and there's noone else I could turn to..."

"Don't care about that ring, have plenty of them anyway, but now back to important matters," Ruj thought about it for a moment, "Looks like your in luck, I have a room, but it is a luxury suite, but there are two beds, so you have to sleep so close together. You know how I only let friends and family sleep there... but I guess acquaintances are good enough friends now, aren't they? I'll let you sleep there, of course you'll have to pay, since I don't know you that well... and I need something to compensate for anything stolen.... The price is pretty steep, but I can give you a discount because of the Blizzard and all... what would you give me for the room?" then Ruj looked at Tlossi and said, "Oh! Is this your friend? My name is Ruj Sampaj," he said holding out his hand. Tli looked at Tlossi, hoping she remembered that she was to pay for the room.

17. oOc: SOrry its taken me so long!!! I really havent been in the mood... but i know, thats no excuse... im sorry... [IMG]

BiC:
Tlossi covered a yawn with a hand. It was after 11 at night, and she's been up early, traveling. She was in no mood to haggle n barter over prices.

"My name's Flossy," she said, shaking the proferred hand. She hoped Tli wouldn't mention the alteration of names. She didn't usually give out her name so freely to strangers.

"Thank you for letting us have the room and all that yada yada, but I'm sorry I'm in no mood to barter tonight. Here, " and, digging in her satchel a moment, she came up with a grubby piece of paper and slid it across the counter to Ruj. "That's my accountants port number. Tell her Floss gave you the number, Floss Vuca, and he should give you what you need. Name your price, within reason, to him. There should be no problems." She smothered another yawn, then thought to add "Oh, and if you're worried, you can call the number tonight, or early tomorrow, and settle it then. Alright?"

She looked at Tli for confirmation, then looked pointedly up the stairs, hoping to be taken to their rooms sooner rather than later.

18. OOC:
Well, I haven't been here for a while either, I just happened to come by today, so you haven't really kept me waiting.

IC:
"Here, take this receipt," Ruj said handing Tli a paper, "The room is on the third floor, second one from the last. My cousin is staying the the last room, so please don't make too much noise. Show that slip to the guard, and he will let you in."

Tli lead Tlossi up the stairs. She too was quite tired and in need of rest. After 2 flights of stairs, they came across the room they were to enter. After letting the burly Pendragon glance over the receipt, he opened the door for the two females. The room was very luxurious. It was mostly white with gold hints here and there. There were two beds on opposite sides of the room, each with their own separate table with several drinks and desserts and an ice box. In the center of the room lay reading material and the door to the right led to the bathroom. There was a window with a view of the street covered completely with a thick blanket of snow. The room wasn't really that large, but every inch of it was well tended and cared for. It wasn't the best room, for Ruj's cousin had taken it, but it was a nice room, especially for a place such as Bhim. Tli had expected it to be dank and musty, for Bihm was not known for being the cleanest and nicest area to be. Tli walked over the bed nearest the window and sat down to eat a light snack before going to sleep. She looked at Tlossi and asked, "What are you doing in a place like Bhim anyway?" Tli asked, curious about what Tlossi was doing here and her motives for even coming to Bhim of all places.

19. "Trouble's my middle name," Tlossi said, grinning tiredly as she plumped onto the bed. She was about to plump her bag down in the same way, when she remembered how Tlossi had tried to mug her earlier. So she kept it on her lap, one paw still grasping it loosely. More - such as an alarm spell - she was too tired to do.
"I'm told there's plenty of it in Bhim."
