ooc| This is my first roleplay, my char just got accepted, so might be just a little lame. And a little bit short. But I've roleplayed other places before.. oh, and if you want a little clearer desc, click the [-] next to Zistiel...

bic| Faded black fur contrasted with white sandy rocks lining the lake. Its shimmering innocence, along with the gentle unshifting of the sun, was causing Zistiel to sit, all most in a happy day-dream, alone. His redish-orange hair lied across his head and dipped toward his shoulders tiredly, but not limply, ebony claws retracted in boredom. Piercing yellow eyes searched for a few perfect skipping pebbles, and small, feathery redish-orange wings faded in and out of focus, being shed and regrown. He was in his anthro form, and hair-colored markings covering his body, seemingly glowing in the suns caress. Fighters mind absent, his friendless mind became totally present, sending him into a wonder of why he was at Magi Lake, alone, on such a nice day. Eyes finally found the perfect pebble, so he grabbed it, threw it, and in a nanosecond, it was flying across the lake, skipping ten or more times before dissappearing forever. He sighed. Was this all he had to do on such a day? Strong, toned, muscular body wasn't good at being idle, and he wasn't exactly happy sitting there skipping stones like an young 'dragon after his schooling was done. He leaned back against a larger rock, mind thinking up idiotic ideas of things to do, each one worse then the last.

Excellent post and great job with the timestamping. Except the current month is Dyo. ^^

Welcome to Ramath-lehi, though, and I hope you don't mind me nudging Javelin in here. :)

Jace liked Swaraj. It was a peaceful place with nothing that he had to care about. Though he had a job to do that night, there was no reason for him to sit around and wait for it to be time. It was a rather small function, besides, and there was no reason to think that anyone would miss him if he showed up a bit late - or a bit early, to scout things out. It was far too early right now, though. There wouldn't be anything happening for at least a few more hours. Besides servants running around and setting up, that was. Javelin had chosen to wear some of his more rugged clothing, out here, so that he wouldn't ruin any of the nicer stuff. Olive green cargo pants that had been scraped and ripped in a couple of spots and a shirt that was of plain black. Along with his multiple bracelets and earrings, as well as his tongue piercing, it certainly gave him a punk look that was entirely of Jace's design. Boot-covered feet scraped against the ground. Or, at least, that was what he thought the sound was. Since he had been stepping carefully it had, admittedly, surprised him. However, he soon recovered and realized it was someone else making the noise - someone that was down there, nearer to the Lake.

Curious, the Spy slunk closer, hands stuffed in his pockets, tail flame a neutral steel gray as he approached the infamous Magi Lake. His eyes quickly caught sight of another, around his age, standing there, tossing a rock across the Lake. Well, that was an interesting hobby, for sure. Though Valimos wondered if it was out of boredom or a truly enthusiastic action. Picking up a smooth stone, the Spy chucked it at the water, watching it skip a few times, then sink down beneath the surface. With a slight smile, he turned his gaze to the other teenager.

<font color=maroon>"Ah, haven't done that in years."</font> Jace commented with a slight nod of amusement.

  3. <span style='color:orange'>'Nor have I...'</span> He nodded in welcome to the new male, noticing his age was about the same. At his own job, he had a week vacation, and was bored out of his mind. He would much rather be sneaking about the Adamaint Empire, or on a military expodition, but, to his unluckiness, he wasn't. He quickly relized that this new, male 'dragon must have a simillar job, and smiled to himself.
<span style='color:orange'> 'You are a spy, I take it?'</span> A slight amusment played across his lips, this was certainly one of his kind.

  4. He swore under his breath suddenly, looking into the water beyond. His flame turned an agitated orange, and hair on the back of his neck stood straight up as he stood, fists clenched, ebony foot-claws swishing thin air. He sighed, wings sprouting out easily from his back eyes silently screeching. He dove into the cool water, trying to calm himself. <span style='color:orange'>-Just listen to me, nothing to do, though I have two jobs. Look at him, one year older, he probably has friends, a family, and he doesnt get layed off, doesn't look like it. Look at me. I did me job, just fine, I might add. So why am I here, jobless for a week or more?-</span> his thoughts rushed through his head as he plunged, deeper into the water, then, springing back out of it about ten yards from the shore. He was breathing heavy, not from the workout, since it was not at all one to him, but from trying to subdue his sudden anger. He had no idea what had gotten over him.

Javelin was a decent enough beast, considering his main trade. He would never have made it as a PI, if he had tried. The mere idea of following those committing adultery or something like that would have bored him beyond belief - besides the fact that it seemed stupid, to him. Why didn't couples just talk with one another? What had happened to that bond of trust that was supposed to exist within? It seemed so weird that there were, even, those who had taken a mate and yet ran off with another to commit unappropriate acts. They had "tied the knot", so to speak, because they were committing themselves entirely to that single pendragon. It was supposed to be a blessed thing, not something that could be violated and disregarded. If only the gods were inclined to punish those who broke their vows, things would be so much easier on this world. There would be less suffering among couples, anyway, though he had no doubts that some would still face the wrath of their heavenly deities in order to do whatever they wanted. At least then there would be something to remember the next time they thought they could break a promise they had made.

The other asked a question that wasn't anticipated, though Jace suppressed the desire to pull out his switchblade and demand to know where he had heard that. Instead, he remained relaxed, preparing a response to this other male's question. Javelin was a bit surprised when the other jumped into the Lake, however. He had heard the rumors, just like everyone else, of a monster that lived there. While he wouldn't mind taking a swim himself - and wasn't afraid to do so - the spy found the idea of doing it on a whim to be rather foolish. It meant that there was a possibility this other male was going to get swallowed by the gigantic beast that desired pendragon blood, that he would sink to the bottom and never return. Perhaps that would be for the best, if his prior question had been intended in such a manner that was hostile, however. If he was an Anti-Grader spy, a showdown near Magi Lake wouldn't be beyond Javelin. Though he didn't think so. Too quick to jump into the Lake, obviously angry - though for what reason, Valimos had no idea. As the other teenager came back up, Jace ran a hand through his hair, before replying to the priorly asked question.

<font color=maroon>"Well, yes, one of my trades happens to be 'spy'... years are a pain, though, eh? Gotta wait to gain that Mastery."</font> Jace replied.

  6. ooc| It does make sence ;)

    bic| He smiled sarcasticly.

<span style='color:orange'>'So, are you for, or angainst the graders, anyways? Not meaning in a hostile way, just a question.'</span>He was sort of embarresed, having never in his life let a rage, big of small, take hold of him, but was trying to act nonplussed. He reminded himself to work on that, it couldn't, and wouldn't, be happening again, and he would make sure of that. His tail flame wasn't as bright anymore, and he was much calmer, but still some agitated. The simple words 'Gotta wait to gain that Mastery.' Made him think. What was being implied?

    Thanks muchly. Excellent job. ;)

The words that came weren't taken in a hostile manner, considering the fact that the other had stated that they weren't intended that way. While Jace didn't entirely trust anyone who was a spy, the Pro-Grader pendragon wasn't about to act as if it was a big deal. It really wasn't. Everyone had their alliegance placed to someone. Even if they were neutrals, they often had opinions that would shift who they liked, day by day. Though he had met some who were true blue neutrals, who didn't mind the Graders being in power, but weren't their avid supporters, either. It was all a part of some great balance, though. Everyone had to have an opinion that was respected by others. Of course, he didn't particularly like Anti-Graders, since they were actively against the group he spied for and enjoyed being a part of. Javelin was as loyal a spy as there could be. Never to betray his fellow Pro-Graders, even if it meant death. What a brave lad.

<font color=maroon>"Pro-Grader... and you?"</font> Javelin replied, deciding the question was safe enough.

  8. <span style='color:orange'>'Pro, have been for a long time. All my carrier, actually. Thats why it confuses me that I've been layed off. I know some real sly characters that are climbing the ranks way to quickly. But, I can't do anything except for hope they don't get to high and mess up the whole system. I guess I can't really do much, being on payed leave and all.'</span> He sighed, annoyed, but glad that the other was, or at least acted and said was, Pro-Grader. Most of the time he could tell. His ebony claws retracted, and wings folded into mid-nothingness. He sat upon the rock again, watching the sun for a moment.

Javelin listened to what the other teenager had to say with an interested look in his eyes. Not that many could tell, considering the fact that they were a meaningless black. His flamed tail flicked slightly, leaving a thin trail of gray light through the air that would have been visible, were it night. As it was, it was the middle of the morning, so there was no one who could see it - unless they had an odd sort of vision. Which wasn't entirely impossible, due to the fact that there were some who had mutations making such a thing a reality. Moving his feet slightly, the winged pendragon considered the words his companion had said, filing them away for further use, later. So there were some who were climbing up the ranks while this one wilted under "paid leave". Well, that was interesting. He did wonder what group this other was in, but it would seem rude to ask. Considering the fact that an Anti-Grader would probably be very likely to do just that. If the other male volunteered the information, that was fine, but Valimos wouldn't pry.

<font color=maroon>"Well that's a shame, mate, about getting laid off. So you're on paid leave, eh? Doing any alternative stuff? Picking up information to bring back so that you can topple those guys that're climbing?"</font> Jace inquired with the slightest tilt of his head.

  10. <span style='color:orange'>'Well, the problem is I'm not getting to far, those traitors know I know, and their making everything even harder for me.'</span> He nodded, annoyed.

<span style='color:orange'>'It was them who layed me off in the first place, I'm not sure how their climbing up so fast. Their were a few others layed off to, three. All four of us knew they were to good to be true, somehow those little scum figured out it was us. You can bet it was the end of that.'</span> He clenched his fist, shaking his head. <span style='color:orange'>

'I dunno if I can do anything about it anymore. Besides training to become stronger so some day soon I can show them what happenes to Anti-Grader traitors. But I dont know how. I can't do it on my own.'</span>

Jace had never had any trouble with maintaining a high enough position within the Pro-Grader society. He was directly under someone who spoke to the Graders, though he was, more or less, not part of the hierarchy of spies at all. Valimos spied where he wanted to. When there were jobs he wanted, he snatched them before anyone else could. Tyreck Kendor, his go-between, knew that Javelin had a preference for jobs in Swaraj. So if any came up, the information would be speedily sent to Valimos. If he wanted the job, he did it. If not, he sent it back so that someone else could take it. Though this was through a telepathic channel, thus it was a transaction that was completed rather quickly. The black-eyed pendragon wasn't hassled by the prospect of being lower on the chain than anyone else. Though, perhaps, that was because he had always been high enough that there was no need to care. Javelin Valimos was one of the most trusted spies within the Pro-Grader movement - or so he had heard, often enough, from his mentor. Though he couldn't be entirely sure that it wasn't empty praise, intended to keep him happy where he was. Without ambitions to take Tyreck's own job. Not that Javelin even wanted it.

Jace's ears pricked forward as he settled down on one of the numerous boulders lining this portion of the bank, settling his booted feet so that the heels were pressed gently against the side of the smooth rock. Eyes flickered intensely as he heard that these 'sly' beasts might be working for the other side - though the other male seemed strong in his conviction. Valimos shook his head slightly, thoughtfully, eyes narrowing slightly as he contemplated the meaning of this.

<font color=maroon>"That's a real shame, mate. You sure they're against the Graders, though? That you aren't readin' 'um wrong? That's a rather... heavy accusation."</font>
