[ooc]Character: ErmontilTimestamp: Mia 10, 81384Location: Terhesian Port[/ooc]Life can be hard at times, especially when you don't a single Khasi in your account and a single Bhijan in your pocket. Money makes the world go round rather we like it or not "and I like it!", Ermon thought to himself. It was a fair morning in Terhesia. The sky was clear and the sun was only half over the horizon. The streets were sparely populated and the stores were just beginning to open. Of all the stores open on the street the only one that seemed to peak Ermon's interest was the cafe just a few buildings down. Nothing made a day start better then a cup of joe. As Ermon entered the building he noticed that there were only two employees in at the moment odd considering the cafe's reputation. Ermontil walked towards the counter and was greeted by the thill on the other side. Hello, may i please have a medium sized black please. The thill typed in a few things into the store register. Ok sir that will be five Bhijan. Ermon reached into his jacket a retrieved five coins form one of is inner pockets. A few minutes later the thill handed him the cup of murky black liquid. Ermon sat down at a table next to one of the front windows and slowly enjoyed his bitter beverage.
[ooc]Character: Risust Timestamp: Mia 10, 81384 Location: Terhesian Port[/ooc] The value of money is an abstract number. At times its something that only deserves a passing mention, sometimes it is the only thing left in the world. During those times people will do all they can to get that money. Sometimes people will squander all there money away. Risust had done that, left with the weight of 7 coins in his pocket, not enough to get anything he needed at the moment. He let out a sharp sigh as he came to this realization. He was in debt also, which did not help matters along. Just last month he had borrowed a few hundred bhijan from a Lukuo loan shark. One month ago he had agreed to pay the Lukuo back in a month. He was out of time. He ducked into a coffee shop, buying a coffee to calm his nerves. His favorite opiate was long gone and coffee was the cheapest thing around. He ducked nervously into the back of the cafe, nervously shaking as he sipped on the coffee. Besides the employs there was one other person in there, and he looked oblivious. Good. That meant he could hide in here until he was found or they kicked him out.
As Ermon drank down on his beverage he noticed a rather odd looking Takula. Its seemed as if he was trying to keep a low profile but all-in-all that was none of his business "If a 'dragon wants to keep on the down low hes obviously has some bones in his basement, but thats his problem." , Ermon thought to himself. Ermon continued to drink, it was bitter but refreshing. He never bothered putting any sugar or cream into it thinking it nothing more than extra calories. As he continued to sip a seemingly disgruntled Yki entered the cafe and walked towards the takula. He could instantly recognize the arden as a member of a small time group of thugs. Ok this isn't good. The thug stopped right next to the chair the Takula was siting in. Ok, you and I both know what im here for so just fork over the money and ill leave you be, got it? The yki crossed his arms and looked sternly down at the arden in front of him.
The coffee was very black and still, with Risusts hands still only cupping it as he peered into the murky depths unmoved. Ever since he sat down he could only stare into his cup and think about his past misdeeds and everything he had done wrong to get to where he was, fairly depressing thoughts in all honesty. As he stared he saw a white image appear in the glass like coffee. Finally moving his head upwards he locked eyes with a Yki, and knew that already his cover had been blown. Ok, you and I both know what I'm here for so just fork over the money and I'll be leaving you, got it? Risust stared at him blankly for a few seconds before thinking, Well no I don't actually, I'm out of money at the moment. Come back tommorow. He sat there thinking for a few more seconds before he realized he hadn't said that aloud. What are ya, stupid or something? Hand over the damn money before things get ugly pal.Risust's voice quivered as he finally was able to give utterance, I'm afraid I'm out of money. Well now isn't that a problem. Tell that bastard I'll pay him in full tomorrow. Risust stood up in an attempt to look intimidating, but it did not work because he quickly fainted from standing up to fast and barely caught himself using the chair. See that would be a great idea, but you already told him you'll pay today. Now either cough over the money, or I'll have to make you pay up. But I don't have any money. Risust was starting to sweat now, his heartbeat rising along with his breathing. He was nervous now, and he almost felt like shaking. I have orders for that too. The yki grasped Risust by the back of the neck and pulled him over the table, causing Risust to land hard on his back. Soon after he was picked up and found himself being shoved roughly out the door and was thrown into an alley next to the coffee shop. See if you don't pay, then I'm suppose to make you never be able to pay again.
Ermon knew what this ment, That Takula was in trouble. As the Yki pulled im out of the store he pulled out a small caliber pistol and preceded to fallow them into the alley way. He creped slowly after them untill they reached the alley way. He hid behind the corner of the building and listened in. It was apprent the the yki was about the do something nasty, and the last thing he needed was another "example" that the yki was going to make out of him, there were enough powerful enemies as it is besides maybe this takula could come in handy. Ermon quickly emerged from hiding, "Alright, I think that is about enough" He said cocking his fire arm.
[ooc]*can I join in guys? I hope so, sorry if I get a word wrong or two.* Character: Syleika Timestamp: Mia 10, 81384 Location: Terhesian Port[/ooc] Syleika was in the alley way by the coffee shop feeling tingly with the thought of meeting her blood-mother for the first time. She knew she needed to calm down or she might say something silly, certain she would anyway through lack of practise making conversation, Sy had no idea what she should say. Thinking such things and trying to count her coins, wondering if she had enough for a mug of that sweet brown hot stuff she was sure was becoming an addiction for her. Sy suddenly heard fast feet approaching and pressed herself against the wall instinctively. She could hear the voices of the strangers but she could not quite understand their speech being outside her mother’s people and hearing mainly their tongue she was still struggling to understand when the third male raised a weapon. Frustrated that she did not know what they were saying and feeling herself threatened as she was almost sure to be hit judging by the angle of the alley and her hiding place being just before the first of the aggressive males. Sy was also afraid she would miss her mother because of this delay and she had her fill of anger and violence in the forests. Perhaps I was wrong to think that there would be less in the big bare places for dragons. she thought. On impulse Sy dropped her camouflage, drew her light bow, knocked an arrow above and another below her small shiny on the gut-string and aimed one for the first aggressor and the other at the one with the strange looking weapon. Not quite sure who she would hit if it came to that she readied her whip-like tail-blade to strike at the third should he get up and hissed a threat-warning, feeling the fromina-energy flowing through her heightening her senses in readiness as the beginning of a battle-song.
Riust had a strong sense of hate at that moment. He hated his addiction, hated the fact that there was nothing he could do, hated the Yki who would kill him, hated the fact one guy was in front of him, hated the fact another thing was behind him with a bow. Sometimes life just sucks. Was the only thought that ran through his head. At the same time, there wasn't much he could about it. He could use some opiate right about now. "Hey now, looks like we all have problems. How about we all just go our seperate ways, and just do what we do best. Right now we are all locked in a standoff that will only end bad, but can end for the best if we all just leave right now. Infact I think i'm just going to go ahead and leave. Yeah, thats a good idea, Right?" He was rambling. The Yki reached for his gun and turned it unto the dragon behind him. "Let me ask you all a question, What do you have to do back here? This is between me and this shallow husk of a Takula. He owns my employers, He should have paid, He didn't. Now he must pay. Best bet for you is to go away."
Ermon did not like how this was turning out, sure the gun was expected but who is this dragon with the bow? Was she working with him, against him, or was she just taking advantage of the situation.Look I'm sick and tired of you little punks acting like your some kind of mafia. You can tell that sneaky little fey' bastard Evaion that I told him to screw off. Fremer's handgun was uneasy and sweat was rolling down his forehead. DAMN! this has turned into one hell of a situation.
Sy still had very little knowledge of what they were saying but she knew this was a standstill and time was running short if she was to reach the place her mother would pass and talk to her. She did not like the sound of the one asking a question and knew by his bearing that he intended the Takula male harm if not also everyone else who stood in his way. Sy made a decision, she stepped forward rapidly whipping her tail around as she turned side on to the yki striking him with the flat of her tail-blade about the small point in his neck that would temporally block a major artery thus rendering him unconscious. Her bow still clutched in her hand she steadied herself ending the strike in a crouch as the body fell to the ground with a thump and clatter of metal. She hoped the other with the strange weapon would realise she did not want to fight her way out of the alley.
[ooc]Sorry I'm late to the party. Character: Nenek Timestamp: Mia 10, 81384 Location: Terhesian Port[/ooc] Life is an endless struggle. Nenek was wondering how he got into this situation, so confused, everything was going crazy and nothing was making sense. The red one or the yellow one, Nenek thought, which pair of pants should I get? But as soon as Nenek reached into his pocket he realized something. He has no money... crushed and heartbroken he left the store just to walk out into a wall of tension. Several thoughts came to mind. First was to run. Second was to hide. Sadly Nenek's tight jeans stopped him from running and his features would stop him from hiding, so his third thought seemed to be the safest. Hello!
A takula had smacked the Yki. SOME RANDOM TAKULA JUST SMACKED THE YKI!Was the only thought that ran through Risust mind. He dived down to where the Yki lay. "Holy hell, you killed him. How could you kill him, Why would you kill him. You just doomed us, You just doomed us all. Everyone in this alley has been seen, everyone will be hunted. They know now, and we are now there targets, we killed an agent. Why did you do this, WHY DID YOU DOOM US ALL!" Risust moaned over the Yki's body. Then another dragon showed up. "And you! You come here so nonchalent. What makes you different? What makes you better? This is a problem and you just brought yourself into it. They saw you too. We are all dead. All of us are dead."
Nenek noticed this sobbing mass yelling at him that he was as good as dead. That first idea looked good now. Sadly he already decided to got with plan three. An agent of what exactly? Nenek asked the crying gent. But then he looked towards the other two, exactly who were these three, why is there a dead Yki. And most importantly, the girl Takula had some very fashionable pants, and where did she get them. Nenek had many questions, but also realized he needs to get that loose firearm away from the apparently deranged male Takula. OK would you please tell me why I'm dead?
Ermon watched in amazement as the thill wiped her tail around and landed a blow straight on his neck. However as soon as the arden hit the ground the lanky takula went into a rant saying that they were all doomed and so forth. What? there is no way he died. Ermon slowly walked over to the body of the yki and checked the pulse. He could feel the beat of the ardens heart, a grin grew on Ermon's face. Calm down, hes still alive. Besides even if we killed him what is that fey going to do eh? I swear 'dragons give that arden to much credit.[color] He said scolding the takula for his outburst. Ermon looked over to the thill whom just put an end to this sticky situation. His eyes instantly took on a kinder look from the scrutinizing glare he was giving the takula arden.Thank you, I owe you one. By the way what is your name.[color] The thill seemed different to him there was something about her that seemed... exotic. [ooc]The posting order is Me, then duck, then silver, then number.[/ooc]
[ooc]Sorry for posting out of order but I feel I have missed a post If you had read my character profile you would be aware I was not infact wearing pants but a skirt. However I dare say if you ask she might plat some vines to make some ordinary pants more exotic.[/ooc] Ignoring the newcomer as she did not consider him a threat, Sy watched the one speaking to her intently trying to guess the meaning behind his words. A thought-song came to her as happened sometimes when she needed comprehension, clarification or assistance of a spiritual-magical nature. Listen with your heart and you will understand, a gesture, a word can give the measure of a man. Noting the softening of his eyes and tone of voice she guessed he was grateful she had defused the situation and the slight movement of the body told her he was asking her something as well as the slight uplift of the voice at the end. She cocked her head to one side slowly drew the arrows out of the bow and set it down on the ground. Pointing to the downed yki she held up her wrist and with two other fingers tapped a rhythm nodding. Then she indicated herself and said Syleika S eye leek ah. Both palms raised up to show she had no intention of attacking any one else she waited.
Risust's eyes moved rapidly sizing everyone up. He was breathing hard, he was worried. Things were not good, things were not good at all. But as he looked at the first person who joined him in the alley he began to understand. He dived down, straight ontop of the gun. "YOU!" He shouted with a hint of disparity. "You are working for Eviaon aren't you? You coming back here was nothing more than a lie, you came back here to kill me, I see it in your eyes, you can't lie to me!" He stood up shaking, the gun in his hand anything but steady pointed at the 'dragon. But what of the other Takula in the alley? "You also!" He shrieked as the it hit him. "You came here to take out a subordinate that didn't follow the rules did you not! No, NO, NO! You won't take me too." He moved the gun over to her. Then another thought hit him as he dived back down towards the body of the yki. He quickly went through his pockets until he found what he needed, at the same time pulling his pipe from its place. He fell back onto the alley wall and began to smoke the opiate, before realizing it was not lit. He patted himself down before exclaiming and pointing the gun at the newest person to join them, "And you stole my lighter, even you can not be trusted!"
Nenek looked at the scene playing out in front of him, he was running out of options, the insane Takula was going to cause harm to someone, or he might have already, considering the seemingly dead Yki. This time he had only two options, first was to disarm the guy. After a quick scrutinizing his surroundings he noticed if he kicked the trash can by his left at the guys hand it could dislodge the gun, effectively disarming him. But if he hit the Takula anywhere else he would be shot. The second seemed safer, try to calm the lunatic down. There were some sub-options too. First was to play crazier than the Takula, scaring him it to dropping his gun. Then there was plan two, appeal to the facts. Finally was plan three, bluff him out. Plan two had a higher chance of succeeding, if only he knew what the facts were. So it came down to either one or three... plan three it was. OK buddy there's no need to hurt anyone, just put the gun down. If you try anything I you won't make it that long because I'm an innocent bystander. Honestly I bet you've never handled a weapon like that before so put it down and I promise I won't hurt you, and I haven't made a move from this spot so how could I have taken your lighter? So you need to give me the gun right now. Now Nenek sat back and waited.
As Ermontil was talking to the thill in front of him the takula on the ground suddenly went ballistic and grabbed the yki's gun. Suddenly Ermons soft gaze turned into a sharp glare as he turned to the arden. What exacly are you afraid of? Ermon said his eyes relaxing agian. True they will be after us but you see we have something they don't have my good friend can you guess?... Ermon continued to stare at the takula on the ground waiting for and answer. But that answer did not come soon enough for Ermon. Skilled individuals my friend! Ermon was now addressing the whole group. With the help of a few of my good contacts I think we can over throw that little rat, and who knows maybe we will take his place and form our own syndicate. I know I may be going a tad to quickly, and sure I know that we dont know each other to well but with a little team work, and some better weapons, i'm sure we can win... What do you say everyone, Are you in or out? I mean hay its either that or we die. His brow suddenly dropped and he stared at the group.
Words, words and more words! Sy smothered the flash of white hot anger that came as she wished now, more than ever that she understood their meaning. The strange speaking one with many limbs and sense of calm, the fearful, hyper and drug deprived male Takula and this other a leader of sorts she could tell by the way he looked at her, not wanting to intimidate but capable of so much more just keeping the balance and now he had made a kind of proposal she guessed by the way the other two were looking at him intently. Turning her attention back to the Takula male who was obviously in need of healing she thought. He won’t let me near him yet so I will have to calm him first and that shiny seems to be what he needs. She remembered the last poor soul to have wandered into the domain of one of the more hostile tribes she had been tracking. He had been walking for hours and had sat by a small pool to fill his gut and his addiction. Taking out a shinny like the one this Takula had clutched in his hand and using a thin twig had set fire in the bowl of the shiny thing. That’s what he needs! She thought, FIRE! Sy began an almost melodic, soothing humming in the back of her throat and slowly drew out her Fire Stone and her Flame Berries. Keeping her back to the wall and her distance from the drug crazed male. Sy shaved off some powder from the Fire Stone with her tail-blade and sitting back a little she squeezed some juice from a berry onto the small pile of stone dust. It sparked and adding some paper she found within her reach she made fire. Taking a small stick from her pouch she lit the end of it and twisted the stick so she was holding the middle and offered the ‘light’ to the male.
The weird one wants my gun? The weird one wants my gun! He's going to try and kill me, I know it, I KNOW IT!Risust pointed the gun at the six armed beast standing in front of him. "First you steal my lighter, and now you seek to steal my life, I'll show you! I'll show you all! You don't mess with Risust. No one messssess with Risssusst." He was slurring his s's now. His finger began to tighten around the trigger. And then he smelt smoke. Turning quickly to see the other Takula, he found she had lit a fire and was offering it to him. His eyes went wide at the prospect of finally slating his addiction. He quickly lit his pipe, and before any effect could have possibly been obtained, he stood up. "I am dreadfully sorry." He said, patting his spines down and suddenly taking a calm tone. "I believe we have started off on the wrong foot. I am Risust, mastermind extrodianire. This man who lies at our feet works for a shady figure who I owe money too, and I believe he attempted to press the money out of me. Time like this can be...stressful. I hope we can all reach an understanding about this." He gave them all sly glances in an attempt to look mysterious and in control. "Thank you all for your help, it is much appreciated." Then he looked at the normal pendragon. "I don't believe you understand exactly who your speaking to. I am a takula of great importance and wealth and you believe me, if we attempted anything, we would not die. Do not assume you understand me based off what you have seen." He gave the 'dragon a cold stare, unwavering.
She was most relieved by the change in the male but confused as well. The brief contact of hand-claws in handing over the stick of fire had given her a sense of his mind and for a few moments while that sense remained she could understand him from his thought-emotions. How could this male claim to be a ‘Mastermind’ she wondered, when it was the commonality of the males she had encountered to act on instinct, be aggressive and generally slow of wit and or intelligence. This male seemed to be at odds with her knowledge but then again she had never met a male who lived in the big bare place for dragons. Perhaps this was the norm for them. Whatever happened now Sy knew from the tingle of fromina that her mother’s presence was fading and she had missed the opportunity to meet face to face with the one who had laid her as an egg. She was sad about that but there was nothing she could do about it now and she felt somehow obliged to offer her healing services to the male if he wished to be cured from his addiction but how could she offer it when she could not understand him with out touching him and ‘pushing’ her intention into him?. She guessed she would have to hang around him until his words did start to make sense to her. There was already pattern to most of the speech she had heard today but to organise patterns into structure was one thing but she would need contact and memory-flashes with emotion to truly obtain meaning. Sy did not want to attract unwanted attention with her small fire and rather than letting it burn out she dug into her bag putting the tools of fire away and withdrawing a smaller pouch from which she took a handful of some sand like stuff that snuffed out the small fire much faster than it would have died if left to greedily gobble anything it could get to.
