Pendzez Zazkex Mia 6 81382 Snow Jacket and Pants On a snowy day, Pendzez went to the NRF on Janardans order. He walked in the main entrance. He walked in and went to the Reception Office. He romoved his hood and walked to the counter and noticed someone there. "Hello, may I help you? Are you applying for internship?" asked the Thill. Pendzez was looking around the Reception Office then turned to the Thill, "No, umm....I have a form here from the Janardan Academy for me to be transferred here." He handed the form to the Thill and she said, "Right." She looked at the form. "Ok, I understand this. So Mister Pendzez Zazkex, is it?" Pendzez nodded, "Yes, that's right." The Thill had another looked at the form. "Ok, I'll be right back. Do have a seat." The Thill walked off and Pendzez turned around and went to a chair and sat down. He pulled a book of Alchemy out of his bag.
It was quite the easy day at the Facility that day. There were no explosions, no erosive chemical accidents, and all experiments on the queue were moving according to schedule. It's generally been a good month overall. It may have only been a few days, but with Mia now upon them, and the cold getting colder, this was usually a fine time for an accident to occur. Somehow, the gods chose to smile on Hubert Wiles this day. Less accidents meant less money to spend and less paperwork to file. Hubert discarded his lab gloves into some sterile container and left his first experiment for the day with a feeling of relief. Not only were experiments moving, but they were generally successes. By the end of the week, he would have developed a prototype treatment for a sickness spreading around Flitter and other domestic avians. It was perfect timing seeing how their research proved that the cold air made the conditions worse. Hubert picked up his checklist and walked through the hallways of his floor. "Ok, so we have Axis's status report and check up in thirty minutes. He should be on the ground floor." He motions towards the elevator and moves down to the ground floor. As he walks past the front, Hubert notices a strange visitor. He looked young and had a vibrant color. "This is unexpected." As the thill moved from behind the reception desk, he stops her. The form in her hand suggested that he was a new recruit. "If you don't mind, I think I can handle this. As the thill shuffled back to her post, Hubert made his way to the new intern. "So," Hubert started, pushing his glasses closer to his eyes. "It looks like you're looking for some kind of job placement. Is that right, Mr. Zazkex? Hubert thought the name sounded familiar but someone like this couldn't have been from around here. He shook off the idea. Anyone wearing a hooded jacket definitely wasn't raised in Trilok.
Pendzez closed his book and looked at the ardan that stood in front of him. "Yes, that is correct. I was sent here as an order from Janardan because they didn't have the classes I wished to attend." He put his book in his bag and look at the ardan again. He continued, "So there was only one option, send me here." He stood up and was amazed at the height of the ardan. He continued to speak, "Besides I wanted to come here anyway." He picked up his bag.
Hubert took a better look at the form. "Ohh.. so you're one of those guys, hm? I've never heard of Janardan, of all schools in the world, to not have a class on anything. Did a teacher have an accident or something? This is quite troubling indeed." Hubert scratched his head. There wasn't much he could do about the situation. Sending him back seemed out of the question. Janardan usually pumps out good students. Having a diligent mind around shouldn't be much of a problem. He chose to come here anyway so his mind has to be filled with some sort of purpose. But kids nowadays are handful. Axis is a handful on his own.. then again.. he IS more than one pendragon. "Anyway, let's head off to my office we can talk a bit more in there. I can put your stuff on file too. I don't have much time until that boy comes around with his report." Hubert headed down a small hallway signaling Pendzez to follow him.
Pendzez caught up to the scientist, following him up the hall. He asked, "You don't know what the Janardan Academy is?" He then looked away at something like a video camera was filming him and whispered, "Kellins these days." Some scientists walked by holding clipboards and pens. "Well if it's not to much trouble, I would like my stuff file, thanks." They finally got to the office. The scientist walked in first then Pendzez second. The ardan sat behind his desk and put the form on on the desk. Pendzez sat on the chair that was in front of the desk.
Out of Character

Lots of dialog here. <_<

"No, I know what that school is.. I always thought they taught everything. Before you know it, Janardan just might use us as some kind of annex for teaching things. We might be able to pull some kind of funds from this." Hubert started typing various information on his computer. There weren't many interns working here. Most of them were doing in for monetary reasons or job experience. He didn't really have any way of "grading" a student from a school. But, like any good scientist, Hubert was already moving many ideas in his head. "Okay. You're in the system and after my check in with the Genesis Project I'm going to make your ID. However, there's no "grading policy" here. To tell you the truth, you're the first 'student' intern we received. Because of that, there's no syllabus on things you have to know, no exams, and, for now, we don't have a way to grade you. So, this is what we'll do." Hubert pulled out a clipboard from his drawer. He wrote 'Pendzez Zazkex' on the top of the clipboard and added some sheets of paper to it. As he handed him the clipboard, Hubert was still pondering just what to do for this kid. He spouted out all the ideas in his head. "Alright. You have.. six months. In the first four months, we'll set up a few basic experiments for you to join based on the trades you want to focus on. You can look into more things than your initial two if you wish. You will get some hands-on experience of the things that go on in a real scientific facility. Depending on who's in charge of the experiment, it may be fast paced or you'll probably end up listening to your instructor more than doing things. In any case, you'll have to pick up important information in your lab. Use the clipboard to take notes if you think you'll need to remember it later on. Also, I'd like a report every two weeks on the things you've done." This idea is actually getting better every time he thinks deeper into it. He'll have to write this down in the case that Janardan sends more students in. This is becoming an experiment in itself. "Hmm.. Okay, after the first four months, you should have decent knowledge in some of your trades. In the remainder two months, I want you to come up with your own experiment. You'll be leading in it so you'll have to think of the things you want to accomplish and other details. When you get your idea, I'll get some pendragons to work with you in your experiment. You'll have to write a report on this project for me, as I'll most likely not be able to watch it. Your assistants will also write me a report on what happened, as well as an assessment on your skill. This will help me find a way to grade you. Also, in that two month period, you will still have other experiments to work on. Make sure to send me your project idea so that I can work it into the schedule. Hubert let out a good sigh. He nodded his head to himself. I'd love to see how this works out, he thought. "Well, I hope you wrote all that down. That clipboard is going to be your best friend, reminding you of all the important things here. You'll also notice that many of the pendragons here hate repeating long things. Hubert was mainly talking about himself, but he's pretty sure that he wasn't the only one like that.
Sitting on the chair, Pendzez listened to everything that Hubert said. "Ok, I understand all that. I guess it's not that bad." He gripped his nylon strap on his bag so he won't drop it. "I have a question, are the dorms singles or doubles or triples? and is there days when I can leave the NRF like on holidays or something? Because I have a seven year old sister back at Janardan." Pendzez showed curiousity on his face. He thought of Jynx, his girlfriend. Won't be long when it's the time when Jynx and I met, he thought.
Ah.. Room and board. You have free picking of those kinds of things. When you go up the elevator, the higher floors are where most housed scientists dorm. There should be a list somewhere that has the kinds of rooms that are vacant. Most rooms are double, but there are some triple and quad rooms available for whoever needs them. Since you're by yourself, you should get a double. There's lots of open rooms for that, so you can just sign for one, and it'll apply to your ID Card. The attendant at the front desk can help you get one. Hubert looked at his watch. Time was moving pretty fast. If he kept on trying to pull out ideas, he'd be late to his follow up Genesis experiment. Axis' new development within the experiment was of the utmost importance.
Pendzez stood up and said, "Ok, go to the front desk and ask for an ID card. What level?" He reached for his bag and picked it up. "Oh, I almost forgot, there are days, only one or two days a quarter when I'll have to excuse myself from here, because I work for the THA and I parked my Harbinger Zero outside. It's not a full-time, it's only part-time, only when I'm needed. If that's ok...?" He was just reaching for the door knob until Hubert started talking.
"Oh, don't worry. That's no problem. As long as you can make it to your assignments, you should be fine. Just make sure you schedule yourself well. Things should be fine." He picked up his keyboard and checked off his current destination. "If you ever need me, you can search around for the Genesis Project lab. I have a feeling that I'll be there for quite some time for the next few months. I must hurry on now, I've many things to do." Hubert opened the door and escorted the boy out. "I look forward to seeing you around in the future. I hope you get the kind of experience that you're looking for while you're here. I also look forward to those reports." With that, Hubert shuffled towards the elevator,Let's see if we can get something good out of this today...
Pendzez walked beside Hubert and smiled. "And look forward to meeting other scientists." After the mentioning of the Genesis Project Lab, Pendzez knew what Hubert was atlking about. "So, Dr. Wiley, how's Axis forward slash Genesis?" Pendzez then showed a grin on his face when he asked. "I found out who you were when you said Genesis." They then got the elevator and seeing Hubert push the up button, the doors opened and Pendzez walked in. Seeing the buttons, Pendzez asked, "So which floor?"
