Tria the 30th, 81379 Cho Seitzu Saki Nyjyta Only 1-2 other people please. ______________________________________________________________ Rich crimson bands and marks glowed a fiery scarlet in the naked Tria sun, even the inky main hue of the slender thills pelt shining under its intense glare. The student, one of the many offspring from the upper-class Nyjyta family, was stretched languidly over a grass knoll, belly down in the soft, tickling bades of grass. As the thill shifted, her shirt rode up above her pant-line, exposing her lean stomach to the scraping tips of the groundcover. A slight giggle escaped her lips before she deftly tugged down the offending garment, curling her digitigrade toes in the air as she resumed finding a more comfortible position to soak in the suns lavishing rays. Feathered limbs folded neatly against the thill's half-bared back, their mixed plumage reflecting the light in prismatic shades of the entire spectrum. Her chin rested on her intertwined fingers, giving her a thoughtful, contemplative look as she stared up through her bangs at the great wide expanse of blue nothingness above her. Glideing effortlessly above her was the outline of some large avian; perhaps a hawk come to pick off a few of the small birds that nested in the courtyard trees? Allowing a slight yawn to split her narrow maw, Cho smiled to herself. In an unusually good mood, probably due to the weather she reasoned, she had come out to the courtyard to escape the lunch rush that was packing the halls with hungry adolescents craving their noon meal. Those that took summer classes would be lugging backpacks and textbooks around, adding to the chaos as these items took up space, were dropped(and subsequently kicked around) , and their owners scrambling after their rogue school supplies. Idly playing with an insect that had decided to explore her hand, Cho let her gaze wander back down towards things much closer to home than soaring hawks. As far as she could tell, she was the only student currently lounging in this part of the courtyard. Her ears twitched atop her crown however, for the sensitive auditory organs could pick up the faint sound of a game of frisbee in progress far off, in the general direction of the larger, more exposed area of the grassy park. Tail swishing along the tops of the grass, Cho sighed to herself and resumed enjoying the sun.
Kuss set down her sketch pad and sighed. There was nothing to draw. No one was doing anything interesting as the sun streamed onto the earth around her. She'd tried sketching the landscape, but the changing shadow made it difficult. She swatted at a few incessantly buzzing but annoyingly unseen bugs and sighed again. Ho hum, nothing to do. She scanned the courtyard thoughtfully, spinning a pencil on one finger. She paid little attention to the Frisbee drifting about, the players seeming in slow motion as they waited for it to come down. Her gaze halted on a lone figure across the yard. The stranger was lying stretched out on the grass, black fur glowing and shimmering in he sun. Kuss was entranced by the play of light. She slowly stood and walked over to stand a few feet away from the other. Head down, hands clasped shyly in front of her over the sketch pad, she cleared her throat. "Um...Hi...I was wondering, is it ok if I draw you?"
<p align=justified>The bright eyes scanned the courtyard, searching. A thousand thoughts and feelings mingled in the mind, but none that were suitable. The hopeful gaze traced the trajectory of a lone frisbee as it slowly glided into the paws of a stranger. The mind's eye stared at him expectingly, silently appraising. The smile was bold, almost a smirk and the forehead frank. Vea shook her head sadly, knowing that if she approached him, the owner of the frisbee would show her nothing but contempt. In her mind's eye, she saw that the likeliest outcome were she to join his group of friends would be a very grim one: they would laugh at her, relishing in their sameness, in their lack of originality. Her very being would disturb them. Oh, they might be taken by her talks of spirituality and dreams at first, they might even find her interesting who knew? But soon, when they realised how dead serious she was about her trade they would mock her shamelessly. "Nevermind", she mused sadly, "I will find others, 'dragons who will accept me for whom I am. I must. I must, for I cannot bear to stay alone. So long... I must talk to another, share my thoughts and feelings with them... Lest I shrivel up and die alone." As these curious thoughts danced at the back of her mind, Vea's eye was once again caught by another group of 'dragons. This one was smaller, comprising of only two 'dragons. After a few moments of deep thought, a large, dreamy grin wove itself into her pale features. This. This might be it. There was a bounce to her step as she drifted in their direction. "Hello there. My name is Veaji. My mind's eye has told me that our personalities might be compatible and that a friendship could result from possible interaction in the appropriate conditions. May I sit with you?"
Dozing in the sun, Cho hadn't heard the approach of the first thill. She had been on the verge of slipping into full sleep when the apprehensive voice jolted her awake. Yawning, she rolled over onto her back and sat up, tucking her legs into the classic lotus style position. Running a hand through her thick mane of hair to brush it from her face, she looked at the other female quizically. "You want to draw... me?" she murmured, slightly flustered by the thought. "I... er... yeah, sure... If you want to, that's okay." she stammered, eyes darting. "Um... is there any particular way you want me to sit? Or lay down or whatnot..?" she asked, trailing off as yet another thill approached. Cho was slightly taken aback. It was a rare thing for one person to talk to her, but two? Which stars were aligning in her favor today? Shaking her head as if to clear it, she wipped her face of it's shocked appearance and replaced it with a warm, albiet shy smile. "Hi Veaji. Go right a head and join us, I don't mind at all." she shifted slightly, a question nagging at the back of her mind... something that Veaji had said about her mindseye? "Veaji... Are you a seer? Or... dreamweaver or something like that?" she asked nervously, a little embarassed of her questions.
Kuss settled herself “No, just do what you normally would." Her pencil dashed across the paper, sketching Cho's neat outline as she listened o the others. Veaji seemed…odd. Not in a bad way, but still decidedly odd. "You're an empath." she interjects suddenly, then blushes" Sorry, my cousins an empath." She shades Cho's face, finishing the figure. She then begins to add the frail form of Veaji sanding beside her.
"Thanks." Veaji smiled gratefully at the pair before plopping herself down on the lawn beside them. She did so in a careless manner, such that her hind legs were only partly tucked underneath her. "I am something of a Dream Weaver, yes. That is my ambition anyhow. Sadly, I haven't explored the dreams of many others, just my own mostly...", her colourless eyes unfocused for an instant, "Sorry... What was I saying? Oh, right. I am an Empath too. And a rather rude one too according to my instructor. You see, I tend to tap into the feelings of others unintentionally... For example, I can tell that you're both a little embarrassed by your questions. You find me odd... But in a good way." Deeply amused, Vea suddenly jerked her head and sent dark bangs flying in all direction. "I don't mind. But I would like to know a little more about yourselves, I am only too used to being the center of attention. (and not always in a positive light)"
OOC: FINE!! If no one else will post I'll get my lazy ass around to it!! IC: "You don't want my history" Kuss snorted "Dull and boooooring. But I'm here studying Drawing mostly, and hunting as well." She cocked her head and thought for a minute "I bit of and odd combination I suppose, but they're both interesting subjects."
