Leaving furrows behind him, the pendragon growled low in his throat, trying to stop his skidding. Finally, the ebony male managed to end his unplanned ride by pulling his stomach towards the ground, and flaring his wings at the same time. Wind flooded under aerial appendages, pushing them towards the sky. Draconian wings responded by flaring more, and pulling him backwards, into the sky. Now, since he had formerly been on a mountain, he was being tossed towards the base of the overgrowrn hill. Luckily, Rev was talented enough with his wings, that he managed to land quickly, in the safety of a small cave. Now that the dangerous encounter was over, he grinned estatically, and kicked back, rolling over onto his back and literally kicking out with his hindlegs. It was delightful, all of the suspense, and the ultimate victory over nature. Reveri was almost tempted to howl his delight, but decided against it. No need to draw attention to himself. After all, he had started that little ride by trying to avoid attention from the wrong type of person, he wasn't going to dive back into that can of worms just yet. Rev sighed deeply, rolling back over onto his stomach. Blackened headpiece lay between his forepaws, silver occuli flickering to the sky, then to the ground beneath him, then back again. Snow was coming. The sky darkened, many clouds laden with winter's customary weather. It was no longer winter, but the mountains had more snow, in general, then the world outside anyways. Which was why he knew it would be snow, and not rain. Besides that, it was cold enough for snow. Flicking his tail idly over raven haunches, Rev closed his eyes. There was time for sleep, if the storm was coming. Or, perhaps, he should use the time while snow wasn't falling to enjoy himself? Silvered eyes snapped open mere seconds after closing, and the male agilely slipped to his feet. Shaking himself all over, to get rid of some, if not all, of the snow, Rev moved towards his favorite spot. A flat rock, his sunning rock, as he thought of it, was near to his den. Which was rather close. During the treacherous times, when he wasn't flying, it was dangerous to go far away from his home. After all, who knew what kind of trouble he could get into? Easing up onto the smooth surface, Rev, once more, tucked his tail about his haunches, the tip resting on his lower back. He was tired. A little nap wouldn't hurt anyone...

Out of Character
’Ey bub, you forgot to timestamp. :B This is a bit... I don’t know. Choppy.
In Character
The adolescent pendragon known as Okkie scarcely ever ventured away from her ‘home base’ — Swaraj. It wasn’t because she liked the masses and the populace, nor was it because she lacked a thirst for adventure. The fact was, ’Kie was relatively young, and there was a hell of a lot of world to explore. She had been spending her first moons upon Ramath-lehi meticulously investigating and scrutinizing the continent of Swaraj. She had stuck her cocoa nose in every nook and cranny, had explored from one seaboard to the other. Okkie had climbed the trees of Swaraj, had tasted the delicacies of Swaraj, and she had thoroughly come to know the very soils of Swaraj. She did all of this because it instilled a sense of security... The spiced-’n-iced pendragon hated missing anything, so she had made it her quest to acquaint with Swaraj. Wholly and completely. But she had decided it was time to venture away from the familiarity. Okkie was way overdue for a plunge into differences and strangeness. And the juvenile had conluded that her first stop would be... Sudesha. Boreios Sudesha to be exact. She had decided this about a week ago, and Okkie’s lithe body had glided expertly over the blue waters of the Sagar sea. She had launched from the sharp south-western coast of Swaraj in the wee hours of the morning, and as afternoon soared by, ’Kie found herself banking towards the mountainous northern coast of Boreios Sudesha. Puma-like paws unsheathed pewter talons, and snowy white wings curled in close to flanks. The maritime winds that whipped off the surface of the sea shrieked in the femme’s ears, sang of foreign notes. Banded female paid no heed as she tucked her legs against sculpted breastbone and abdomen. Instead, cobalt orbs, fierce with polar light, focused with keen intensity. They locked upon a region of shale, a bluff, amongst the northern-oriented peaks. Mindless of the snow and the slippery ice, Okkie gradually lowered, dropped... dropped... dropped... Until her mitts knew terra firma once again, though firm it was not. Chocolate paws almost immediately gave way, and the female hissed and scrambled for purchase as she began to slip down a steep ledge. Her instincts screamed and so did her brain, and ’Kie clutched at some furrows that had been, miraculously, aptly placed in her treacherous path. The youth was able to hoist herself off to the side, to more level ground, where she sprawled, spread-eagle, panting. “Goddamnit.” Briefly, Okkie wondered if anyone had heard her struggle. But this thought was immediately replaced by others, and by the weariness that had settled like a tainted halo around the femme fatale.

Knew I forgot something. x) It is, er, someday that Okkie isn't doing something else? Rah. % in character Ears flitted back and forth, patiently taking in the sounds that surrounded the dozing male. Thoughts flickered through his head, memories of lifes past and gone, of times and places he had been, before now. Flitting between worlds, when his feet should have stayed planted on the one. Accidently moving from one to the other, challenging the ways of time and space. All of those moved in and out of his mindscape quite quickly. They were frequent visitors to his idle mind. Questions about why he was here, why he had ever left his last home, if he would ever leave, go somewhere else. Reveri was a wanderer, no doubt about that. So many abodes that he had slipped to, and away from, never staying long enough to become friends with many. Few and far between were his companions. And then there was his soulsister, Okkie. She was far beyond the level of mere companionship. Captured his heart, though he did not love her in the way that he would wish to court her. Nay, Rev loved Kie as the male would have loved any of his siblings, had they ever been kind to him. Perhaps his love for Okkie was deeper, since their bond was of the soul, though no similar blood ran through their veins. In fact, besides the fact that they were both wolves (or had been), there was nothing that tied them as siblings, physically. The mental bond was stronger then any of blood could be, however. After all, bloodkin often had feuds and duels, fought and killed one another. Rev's musings were shattered as sounds of a struggle reached his delicate ears. Blinking rapidly, his eyes snapped open, and he glanced about, head turning in the direction of the sounds. Then he heard a voice he had never thought would grace his hearing again. Okkie's voice. Blackened paws quickly snapped him into a standing position, sinew moving fluidly to get him into a position to move. Agile movements brought him towards the other, kicking up snow as he moved. Laughter tried to escape him as he realized his own ruts had assisted her. Yet it was hysteria that threatened to push them out of his mouth, and he held it back. Was he going insane? Yes, that had to be it. Insanity. Yes, that made sense. It had been another that had been assisted by his accidental movements earlier. Either that, or he was dreaming. Yet silvered eyes caught a caramel and cream female sprawled on the ground, and Rev stood there, mouth agape. Words moved out of his mouth without his permission. "Okkie..."

In Character
The panting slowly ebbed, and ’Kie’s thoughts also waned. The stormy clouds of bad humor cleared away, and the female found herself able to move without gasping for breath or cursing in annoyance. She drew herself into a sphinx-like position, and then curled left foreleg beneath robust chest as she leaned a bit to the right. A ululating growl accompanied her movements, for the young pendragon discovered that she had jammed some toes. It, like the breathlessness before it, faded away after a few moments, as Okkie finally found herself comfortable, snowy wing-breadths tucked firmly to her flanks. “Ice, mountains, and me are certainly bad bed fellows,” the pendragon mused, staring at the trenches she had made, alongside the old ones, when she had been struggling. “Hmn... and I wonder who put those there. Kinda... fortunate.” Thin sigh escaped lips, and Okkie leaned cranium down to lick at her sore toes. The sun reaped its opaque light over her ginger bodice, warming her a bit, and causing her to feel drowsy. After her impromptu grooming, the winged fighter re-positioned so that both paws were spread out in front of her, crossed at the fetlocks. And she propped her chin on them. “Not much of an entrance... eh. Glad nobody saw.” She had figured nobody was around these parts, thus she harbored no humiliation, and she also didn’t feel vulnerable as she let her eyelids droop. In fact, despite the pain which ached in her feet, ’Kie was now feeling quite comfortable. She had a nice patch of cool loam, a hearty burst of fresh sunshine caressing her pelt, and she was alone to siesta here in the chilly mountains of Boreois Sudesha. Despite the earlier mishaps, Okkie now felt contented. As webs of sleep wove over her, Okkie didn’t know that, in fact, she was being watched. That she had been watched during the whole episode. She had no clue that her soul-brother was just around the corner, staring at her, mouthing her name in a whisper... “Wha-?” Head jerked up, and fierce blue eyes roved the territory around the female. A snarl began to fester in her throat, but she dared not unleash it until the source of the voice — the voice that had sang her name so quietly — showed itself... But then, it — he — did. And Okkie swallowed the growl loudly and blinked. “Reveri?”
% in character It was impossible, that simple fact was what stopped Rev from bounding down the perilous slope to find his soulsibling and embrace her. Perhaps it was a mirage, a lure to draw him down to his death. Yes, that made sense. For a few seconds, his battered and confused mind believed that, then it was shattered as he noticed that the furrows he had made earlier were deeper. The pendragon's tail flame became a steel blue etched with painful red, perplexed and uncertain about anything and everything that was going on. Nothing made sense, it was all irrational, but, then again, life was like that. Rationality was something only those who sought to control fate determined something that was always neccessary. Rational thought was good, but not everything could be rationally explained. Simple as that. Reveri's mind returned to the present as she reacted to his prescense. The first response wasn't the one that the ashen male had expected, and he took a half step backwards at the dangerous growl that laced, constricted, through the air. Whimper escaped from low in his throat, silent apology to whomever it really was. Obviously, he had been mistaken. Cautiously, he began to turn around, until words lifted from the vocal cords of the female. His name. No mirage or unknown would know that moniker, since he hadn't met any other caramel females, nor had he made his alias widespread across this land. Few knew he even existed in this world of pendragons. Snapping around completely, Rev looked down at the furrows, forepaws beating the ground as he tried to find a way to get to her. Draconian wings impatiently unfurled and swept downwards, propelling him into the dually used furrows, digging his claws and paws into the icy ground. Treacherous terrain tried to give way beneath him, but this time, aerial appendages were ready, spreading and then pushing against the ground so that he was thrust to the ground nearby Okkie. The obsidian and ivory male tumbled into his soulsister, becoming entangled with the banded female as he tried to escape becoming snared in such a position. Rev laughed, joviality bubbling out of his throat as he grinned hugely at his beloved sister. Parting was such sweet sorrow, yet seeing her again was like drinking wine, intoxicating and enjoyable. He wouldn't prefer to be in anyone else's company. Not even Amarilla's. "Hey, there. We have to stop meeting this way." He said, handsome features lit up with great joy.

In Character
One ear pinned as Okkie stared at the sable apparition. Surely she was mistaken...? How could Reveri be here? She had left him in another plane, in another time. His being here was too coincidental... too idealistic. Or was it? The ear flicked and femme tilted her head, peering at the well-muscled figure. She blinked when his flame was tinged with skeins of scarlet, and she studied his vivid orbs. There was affection, disbelief, and skeptical joy within them. And a sense of pleading. It was this that made the Kanji-marked pendragon realize who he was. “Wow... it’s really you,” Okkie whispered to herself. She wanted so badly to close this gap between them. To obliterate the ground that kept them away from each other. Luckily, so did he, and he acted upon his urges. Spreading magnificent wings, Reveri soared majestically down to her. Like a knight flocking to a damsel in distress. But replace the romance with playful, sibling-like adoration. He wove the air with those draconic breadths, trailed to her side. And past. He tumbled clear into her, knocked her over with soft pressure, tangled himself with her. Had he been any other, Okkie would have bared her fangs and rebuked his audacity. But he was Revvie. His actions were met only with soft nips and a growl purr. “Nice to see you,” she snarled playfully, clouting his snout, rubbing her cheek on his. “And, indeed, our meetings seem to be quite bizarre...”
Revvie blushed cutely as he tried to remove himself from the entangled position with his soulsib. The playful nips of the caramel pendragon were greeted in turn, a cheeky grin plastered across the obsidian male's face. Okkie's snarl was replied to with a low, rumbling mixture of playful growl, and happy purr. Ducking his head as she swung her paw at his muzzle, Rev didn't manage to evade the teasing clout, and managed to get his nose bopped by the padded appendage. Wriggling his nose, momentarily stunned by the playful attack, a low rumble of mock hurt began to surface, until their cheeks met, and he returned her affectionate rubbing with his own, pushing his head against hers as she spoke. Finally, the ebony male managed to escape from being entwined with his sister, and slipped to lie down in front of her. "Mm... yes. Finding one another in different worlds gets a bit odd, dontcha think?" He said, chuckling lightly. "Gods above, it is good to see you, 'Kie." Rev commented, content, for once, since coming to Ramath Lehi. Neck snaked forward and the male teasingly nipped her ear, tail thumping against the ground in jovial play. He felt like a pup, since he rarely felt such joy since his maturity. Of course, Rev had never been very happy when he was with his blood relatives. Not until he went to Firestone Marsh had he been truly happy, since then, he had been unable to reach the completely content glee that he felt now. Life couldn't be better.

In Character
The female’s coy expressions of affection were returned, and she felt her heart twitter, pleased with it all. His nips and purling growls, replies to her own, were doubled back with playful aggression. Then she initiated a whole new round — she butted his shoulder with her chiseled crown, licked his muzzle... and the did something that rang of true trust. And equality. ’Kie did a spin and then slammed her hipbone into his, all the while grinning coquetteishly, all the while her eyes dancing. “It’s good to see you too,” Okkie said when her soul-brother slipped to the earth, positioning himself like a regal he-sphinx. “And I believe that our odd meetings just spice up our bond. It always, always sucks to be apart... but the sweet wouldn’t be as sweet without the sour.” This stated, ’Kie pawed closer to him, and then slung her belly to the terra firma. She nosed Reveri’s charcoal hide, and then shoved her slim bodice under him. So that his rump stick in the air. It was quite a humorous position, and Okkie remained still there, tail waving in the air in a delighted manner. Indeed, life couldn’t be better.
Reveri's responses to her earlier had been made with great happiness, the flickerings of pain that followed some of his sibling's more forceful shows of love and trust. The rumble of content approval continued to thrum across his body, very much like the low purr of a cat. Once he had come to Ramath Lehi, some aspects of felids had become a part of him, this rumbling half-purr being one of them, another being the sleek aspect that had been added to his otherwise gangly bodice of the time. Chiseled headpiece tilted slightly as she spoke again, ears attentive but relaxed as he listened to her words. Too true, too true. Bittersweet was parting, those apart growing fonder. "Makes the heart grow fonder." He commented with a slight nod. Some quote he had heard at one point or another about parting and reunions. As Kie nudged him, Rev half-leaned towards her, and her next action took him completely by surprise. Hoisted into the air by his bold soulsibling, Reveri couldn't help but let out a small yelp, completely off guard for such a playful reaction to his own words and deeds. The perplexion only lasted a second, as long as it took for him to growl playfully and nip at her side, teasingly. Which one of them was the victim here, again? After all, Revvie had access to quite a few spots to choose from to nip her. Then again, she could always merely tumble him over. As that thought came to mind, the male braced himself for such an impact, while also trying to figure out how to get back at her in such a position. Too much thought, too little action.

In Character
A brisk nod followed ReveriÂ’s wise words, and bottlebrush plume flailed a little more rapidly. Indeed, it had been quite painful to be apart from him. He was the one who bolstered her spirit when everyone else let her down. He was the one that could comfort her through heartache and sorrow. He was the one, the only one, that held the keys to OkkieÂ’s life. Where everyone else found proverbial steel doors and shatter-proof barriers, Reveri found a loving and affectionate she-Â’dragon. He was her secret-keeper. Her sibling of emotion. Now, he was her playmate, and she was truly fond of this moment, of their closeness. Her heart swelled with merriment. But she dared not reply, dared not speak. It could demean the intensity. Instead, Â’Kie grinned and began to squirm, until she popped out on ReveriÂ’s other side. Once there, she stood, and shook dust and particles from her pelt with a vigorous woof. Then, the cinnamon pendragon quietly curled up at her brotherÂ’s sable flank, pressed quite close. He had been tense a moment ago, expecting her to buck him off. But how he was more relaxed, and Â’Kie began to emit ululating growls that buzzed through her, and into him. Adoring growls meant to thrum his heart-strings.
Reveri had had a hard time adjusting when he lost touch with Okkie at the last place he had spent time in. It had been painful to realize she was no longer on the same world, and the male had fleetingly wondered if she had found the Rift, as well, and done the trials. He doubted it, though. She seemed to easily pass between lifes and times. A trait of devilwolves? Who knew. Rev was certainly baffled as to how she managed to come to the same worlds as him or, rather, vice versa. She had probably been here longer then he, since he had only recently come to Ramath Lehi. Oh, say, about a month, Earthen time, ago. Though he couldn't be sure, their times were a bit different from one another. As Okkie began to squrim, Rev flailed, barely managing to avoid being bucked off, however accidental that might have been. Flopping to the ground as his sister popped out from underneath him, Reveri "oofed" as he hit the ground. The air whooshed out of him for a second, and the male dazedly shook his head, before grinning amiably at his soulsibling. Sucking in air, he quickly returned to a normal breathing rate. Relaxing slightly, he flicked his plumed tail in joviality, head lowering to rest on forepaws as he watched her out of the corner of his eyes. Her movements towards him, pressing close her body close to his, caused him to give a soft thrum of approving glee that quickly stopped as he felt her own loving growls radiate from her into him. For a moment, he was in rapture, caught up in the moment, then he harmonized his own thrumming growls with hers. Two hearts in tune.

Out of Character
I’ve been watching big cat and other animal documentaries all morning. So Okkie might act a little... feline... ish? Lyrics are from Spirit. Yeah.
In Character
Flanks expanded and contracted in a slow, quiet rhythm, as Okkie lounged next to her soul-brother. It appeared she was about to drift into a catnap, but her almond-shaped polar orbs remained peeled. Chin was perched on forepaws, and tail-tip flicked, as she peered around with half-hearted curiosity. But Reveri’s purling growls stole her attention, and the caramel pendragon lazily rolled onto her back. Paws raked the air and ’Kie shifted around a bit, spraying wet dirt and a shower of snow-shards over herself and her sable soul-kin. This shower of crystals caused a grin to tear across the female’s face, and she turned onto her flank so that her paws kneaded Reveri’s side, hoping he was as enchanted as she in this playful moment. “I had a dream — of the wide open prairie. I had a dream — of the pale morning sky. I had a dream — that we flew on gold-en wings. And were the same, just the same — you and I.” Suddenly, the femme sprang to her feet. Teeth tugged at her brother’s ear, and tail wagged in an upright arch. “Let’s go run. Or fly. Or... both.”
Reveri yawned lazily, relaxedly pushing back a bit so that his forelegs were stretched, to avoid getting cramped. Ebony dial was tossed in Okkie's direction, ears fleetingly brushing against her neck as he curved his own neck, rubbing their upper heads, and ears, against one another. Pulling back to his earlier position, the male's tail thumped the ground once, in contemplation. Silvered aqua eyes rested soulfully on his sister, soft and completely loving. No hard thoughts rested in this gentle male's soul for the caramel female who had captured his heart in a way no other ever could. Because it was already held by the banded Okkie. His soulsister forever. Perhaps the only 'sib he would ever have. She was certainly the only one he would ever need. As dirt and snow flew up from his sister's movements, Reveri recoiled slightly, to avoid a small rock that had threatened to embed itself in his forehead. Grinning playfully, a soft whimper of playful qualities escaped his lips as she kneaded his side with her forepaws. His own hindlegs shot out to press against her stomach in teasing retaliation. As Okkie sprung to a standing position, Reveri stared innocently up at her. Soft tug on auditary lobe caught his attention more fully, and the male pawed at clinging jaws in response. A mischevious glint flashed through his eyes, and he shook his head lightly, closing silver-blue occulars and resting headpiece between obsidian forepaws. Before he could say anything, however, he leapt up and teasingly nipped at her shoulder, tail up and wagging as he dashed off, snow flying out from behind him. Wings spread as he spoke some quite simple words. "Tag, yer it! Catch me if you can." He said, turning slightly to grin at her as he acheived lift off.

In Character
Caramel-brushed headpiece tilted and ears flicked as Reveri seemed to ignore her request. He put his chin on sable paws, closed moon-kissed orbs of quicksilver as if he was preparing for a nap. Disappointment flooded the young female as she watched him — did he not want to tear the skies with her? She was about to hopelessly sink to velveteen haunches, head hung low. But a whirlwind of obsidian rushed at her, hoary eyes flashed with mischief as a nip scored her shoulderblade. Then the onyx tornado was behind ’Kie, and she peered over her toned shoulderblade with open curiosity. What was he up to...? “Tag, yer it! Catch me if you can.” Came his answer, and the banded pendragon watched as his majestic wing-breadths spread open. Observed with oceanic oculars as he soared into the sky, all muscle and majesty. “Coming.” The Kanji-marked ’dragon paused for a moment. She could not recall having ever flown with Reveri. In fact... she couldn’t remember flying with anybody... besides Orca. A pang twisted her heart-strings as the memories of that magical flight skirted through her mind, but Okkie dismissed them forcefully. She focused on the here and now. The realization that her soul-sib’ had never flown with her caused the spiced femme to grin rather rogueishly. He did not know the power that rippled through her snowy wings. He did not know of her awe-inspiring grace in the sky. Most of all, Reveri knew nothing about her speed and her stamina... both forces to be reckoned with. “To get ya’.” Without another second of hesitation, Okkie sprang into the air. She did not need to gallop in order to achieve an airborn state — her powerful wings pumped at the sky from her impromptu lift-off and easily wheeled her into the sky. Alabaster primaries were spread wide open in all their glory, and the female soared against the backdrop of a white-washed sky. Her lithe caramel bodice felt weightless, and a howl of complete bliss tore from her muzzle before she could help it. It was a ululating beacon of joy and blitheness, one that glided across the skies, hopefully reverberating in her sibling’s charcoal ears and causing him to understand her absolute jubilee. But where was he...? Blue eyes roved around... the impish Reveri had seemingly disappeared into the vast domain of the sky...
Finely crafted, draconian wings spread out more fully as the male soared into the somewhat cloudy sky. Inverse golden eyes glanced at the sunlight, scattered across the sky as the rays touched the thin clouds, formed of moisture. Glancing back, he grinned again, noting the words that reverberated in his ears, glad he had actually acheived the level of surprise he had intended. For he had a few seconds start, and he would use that to his full advantage. Aerial appendages snapped back and forth to keep him airborne, easily using the air to gain altitude. Keen lobes picked up on his sib's own take off, and he winged away faster, gliding into a thin veil of sun-shattered white. The glare of the great sol covered him, made his prescense unknown as he softly pressed wings up and down to keep himself in the air. The blissful howl of his sister caused Rev to shiver in delight, barely biting back the temptation to return the sound with an estatic vocaliization of his own. Instead, he remained where he was, watching her carefully through squinted eyes. Noticing her look about, he presumed it was he that she searched for. Forepaws flicked against the cloudy substance, unsheathed claws scattering some of it so that he could see more clearly. It was not folly, however, since he was far enough away from her that he could escape. With a bit of fancy wingwork, that was. Hopefully, the movement would go unnoticed, however. Yet his sister was observant, and Reveri quickly ducked, easing down some so that he was invisible once more. Presumably, if she had seen, she would come over there anyways, to investigate. Already, his mind's wheels were spinning, considering what he could do if she got near enough that he would need to evade quickly.

· in character
The fading dregs of her howl were swallowed by the majestic ’scape of the heavens. The silence whipped in as fast as a bird of prey and just as deftly. It swirled about the puzzled Okkie as she beat her wings to stay aloft. It hissed and warbled. Tickled and teased. It sank its needle-like teeth into her ear then flitted away. The young female was a bit intimidated by it. Silence was supposedly the lapse of sound. But... now... it roared. Her pumping gear was serene and soft like the exhaling of a baby’s breath. The spiritual and boisterous presence of Reveri had vanished. ’Kie was left in the shattered quietude... and her throat rippled with another howl as she could bear it no longer. This silvery yelp poured into the air like a river of tears. Or maybe of blood. It was thick and melancholy. It yearned very deeply. Okkie’s skull was thrown back as it sang from her chords. So deep was her song that the femme shivered. Her bones had been chilled. How had it happened? Two minutes ago she had been smiling and playing. Now... it was like Reveri’s sudden absence had sucked all the good moods out of the air. Leaving Okkie to writhe and twitch in an airless cell of misery. You’re being silly, the Kanji-marked pendragon chastised herself. He’s only playing. You... you can feel his eyes. You know... you know he’s there. Indeed. She did. Snowy wings still sliced the air as Okkie began to ascend towards the ellipse that was the ceiling of the atmosphere. Her chiseled paws were tucked in closely. Fore to her chest. Hind to her abdomen. Kinked tail streamed out behind her like a bladed placard. Wings beat. Beat beat beat. Whipped the bad humor and silence away with every stirring motion. Ears flicked as Okkie surveyed the aerial environment. Did she see a fluttering of ebony there? The flirtation of quicksilver orbs there? Did she hear the soft drumming of wings there...? Okkie went all shifty-eyed. He was there. But where... exactly?
Reveri's wings beat a silent song in the air, soft flickerings as the cloud moved about him, swirling in a moisture-laden abyss around the obsidian pendragon. The wind pressed against the scales that were delicately arrayed across aerial appendages, fltting between the small cracks between, and brushing against the flesh beneath. Wings tucked closer to his body, momentarily freezing him midair as he hung suspended, appendages tucked close to his body. Gravity set in, and threatened to cause the 'dragon to tumble to the ground, but charred wings snapped out once more, though the sound of their return to flight wasn't audible. Unknown symbols glinted in the light as the underside of ebony wings was caught by the sun, and the male swooped down to avoid the glare that would cause, giving away his shifty position. Now the sable male was beneath his 'sib, watching her search the skies for his precense. Then something happened that shattered his own jovial attitude. A melody of melancholy escaped the vocal cords of a soul in tune with his, thrumming the dark male's heartstrings. His own soul responded, trying to vocalize through its owner. Reveri barely suppressed a return cry of desperation and solitude, managing to tone it down to a very soft squeak of sorrow. Fierce silver eyes glittered with the bad mood that had overshadowed both himself and his sister, and sorrow caused wings to droop slightly, causing the obsidian pendragon to swoop farther down then before. In fact, the former wolf was going towards the ground, back in the direction of where they had come. Bright occuli quickly caught on to how close he was to the icy surface of the ground below, and dark wings straightened, easily carrying him back to a better position in the cloudy sky. The male was about ready to seek out his sister, and soothe the melancholy that seemed to have touched her. Yet his caramel-and-cream companion was no where to be seen, at first. Now it was his turn to feel the tugs of despair as he could no longer view his beloved soulsibling. A light whine escaped his vocal cords, and the male's ears flickered back to lie flat against sleek cranium. Forepaws pressed forward, as if trying to push away the clouds that shielded his sister from view, where ever she might be. Hindlegs tucked sharply againt his body, as if to make his flight easier. Wings flapped harshly, easing him into a cloud, less fluffy then its appearance seemed to suggest. There he finally caught sight of his sister once more. Yet it seemed the game was still on, and it was her turn to seek. A grin of relieved glee crossed his muzzle as he flicked his tail, then pushed at the cloud beneath him, causing the moisture to stir so that it appeared as if he had just gone into the other cloud, rather then the one he currently hid within. Would she fall for his trick?

· in character
Her sorrowful song had scarred the air, leaving behind a blistered tapestry of grisly miasma against an opaque sol. Earlier, the atmosphere had been charged with giddy spirits and the absolute bliss that came along with the reunion of two thought-to-be-lost souls. But, now... a sort of melancholy air had dampened the mood of the environment. Whether it had been caused by Reveri’s sudden disappearance or by Okkie’s wretched howl, the femme did not know. It was a question between the loss of a smile and the addition of grief. Which was the lesser evil? Which had caused this feeling of uncanny silence and shattered joy...? Wings scythed the air, quietly, softly. Her thoughts mingled and faded, and once again her attention was drawn away from the sadness by the hint of her brother’s passage. Here... there... over by that cloud! Sculpted cranium was turned in every direction possible — up, down, and all around — as polar orbs searched for a sable paw or an obsidian wing. Her senses were teased more than once. By a scuttling cloud... or by the whispering tinkle of laughter. At least the sentiment of complete desperation and abandonment had been replaced by something... even if that something was festering frustration. Where are you, Reveri? The game is over. You’re really starting to aggravate me... Her thoughts were harsh, more bitterly articulated than the emotions which coursed through Okkie’s breast. Her spirit was quite afraid... some part of her knew that if Reveri had heard her howl of grief, he would have hastily abandoned the game to comfort her. And he hadn’t... so that meant something was wrong. Or at least that’s what ’Kie’s heart told her. Something was erroneous here... or Reveri Silvent was playing a devious and hurtful game. Actually, now that I think about it, you’re much happier hidden. Because as soon as you come out of hiding, I’m going to give you the worst beating you’ve ever had... Of course, if the onyx he-pendragon was in danger, or if he was lost or hurt, Okkie would break her promise of vengeance and nurse her soul-sib’ with kind words and a few comforting licks. But if he was, in fact, playing games with her heart, the caramel pendragon would not hesitate to chastise him. Harshly. She was aggressive, dominant, independent. She would assert herself over her charcoal counterpart... if only to punish him for worrying her breath away with the prospect of being left behind. Again.

Soft eyes widened in distress and sorrow as he realized that his remaining in hiding had been the wrong gesture to make towards his frazzled soulsister. The way she was looking, and the mere fact that their bond was so strong, allowed him to understand the seething frustration of his sister. It was agony, to have hurt his companion, his sister, the other part of his soul. Though most said that the other half of one's self was their soulmate, Reveri had never met his. Okkie was the closest thing, and he knew she would always hold a portion of his soul, despite the fact that his 'mate might someday meander into existance. The gaping male quickly made a decision, snapping his jaws shut, and winging over to his sister. Soft wingbeats were faintly heard as the male lifted his head, a howl of belated response to her own melancholy song. His own melody danced with apology and regret, of love and soothing submission. Though Reveri could be dominant, he considered Okkie well deserving of his submission. If it would stop the burning pain of having harmed his sister, then the male would do it. No matter what it was. If it was jumping off a cliff, wings tucked so that death was assured, then so be it. If his parting would bring her joy, then Reveri would commit such suicide. Yet he trusted her, to never ask him to do such a feat, and knew that she trusted him in turn. Eyes closed and ears brushed against his cranium, flattening against chiseled skull as he bowed his head. Apologetic and shamed that he hadn't immedietly come to soothe.

· in character
Finally, from behind the veil of a cloud cluster, Reveri came. Unlike last time, where he had seemed to be a majestic creature, a knight of the sky soaring to her side with tactful grace and a worldly smile, the onyx male was now submissive and checked. His ears were pasted to his skull as he slowly descended to the she-’dragon’s flank, and his eyes sang with apology and regret. They clearly said, “I did not mean to hurt you... I would never mean to hurt you... I am very sorry.” Every sinew in his body seemed tense with sorrow, and as he finally fluttered to be right next to her, Okkie could taste and smell the aroma of regret, shame... a scent that begged for forgiveness and redemption. “Why did you do that? I... I would usually be so much more light-hearted about this. But, Reveri... I can no longer count the number of times my so-called friends have disappeared on me. I am so paranoid... so very afraid. I thought... I thought you had left me. That we had just met up only to be torn apart again. I was angry just a moment ago, but I’m not anymore. My soul is too weary...” Could it be, that this symbol of the devil was on the brink of tears? Her eyes shown with a watery light, and she turned her face away from Reveri. Even though she longed for his licks to cleanse her pain and grief and irrational fears away. She would rather endure the agony away from his caring eyes than suffer the humiliation that came with blurting one’s weaknesses and fears. “You would not leave me, though?” she suddenly whispered quietly, still turned away...
