<font size="1">This is a private thread for my http://shadowlack.com/persona.php?id=12Riot Stormwing</a> and those who expressed interest http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4032here</a>. I'll post up some plot ideas and whatnot in the OOC thread. The timestamp is 50° Tessera 81379.</font>
It was the last day of the "fall" season, but the cold weather was unmistakably here already. As Riot hovered just outside The Panic Room, at one of the more private side entrances, she couldn't help but shiver. Of course, it didn't help matters that the thill was clad in a mere halter, with a thin collared jacket thrown overtop, and a pair of low rise jeans. But she wasn't about to go back inside and find her jacket, which was stowed away in the owner's lounge. She wasn't going to be out here long enough to require that; she was just outside for a smoke. Perhaps that would warm her up, too. "No such luck," she whispered to herself. She could see her breath, as it furled in front of her, mingling with the smoke from her last exhale. As if this suddenly made her even colder than before, she wrapped her free arm about her abdomen, and quivered lightly. The thill then hurriedly finished off her "coffin nail," before she rubbed it out, and tossed it into a nearby trash can. She was freezing at this point, but she wasn't ready to reenter the club. It was a weekend night, so the place was packed wall to wall with hot, sweaty bodies. The music was throbbing so loudly, the walls behind her were vibrating slightly, and she could definitely hear the bass rhythm. She just wasn't in a party mood tonight, though, and so instead of turning towards the door and walking in, she began to walk along the perimeter of the building. Riot soon found herself at its front, a façade which was faced to a street crammed with young pendragons awaiting entrance. Two bouncers were stationed at the front doors, meticulously filtering the shivering and chattering teenagers inside, but Riot knew that half of these individuals wouldn't even get to see the inside tonight. It was just too crowded. "You should probably tell them to give up and go home," Riot breathed to one of the bouncers. Reveri, who managed the bouncers among some other things, had hired this particular arden. He was typically large and muscled, but gentle as a bear. The club owner liked him more than any of the others Rev' had chosen. "They're going to freeze to death out here, and there's not enough space to accomodate them all tonight." The hulking male gave her a wan smile and a nod, and then began to wave his arms, preparing to make a shouted announcement to the crowd. Riot did not wait to see how it went, though. She turned and began to walk back towards the side of the building, and paused just around the corner. A white hand fished around in her pocket, as she already craved another cigarette. She eventually found it, put one end in her mouth, and lit it. Riot smiled as she did so, for just then, she heard a united groan of displeasure coming from the dismissed crowd around the corner.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>— <a href=http://shadowlack.com/persona.php?id=775>Gemini Iojoa</a> — -paddles the others to reply too!-</td></tr></table> <blockquote><font style="font-family: tahoma; font-size: 11px; line-height: 12px; letter-spacing: 1px;"><p align=justify>It seemed slightly unusual for the sandy thill to have been in such a place as a loud club on one of the coldest days of the season. But then again, she had been accidently shuffled in with a group of unruly ardens that had chosen to plow into the club while she had been trying to move her way through the line of them as they naturally spilled about here and there outside of the club, and yet it seemed quite natural that such a thing would happen to Gemini. Haphazard things like getting shoved into clubs as one of the many things that had gone wrong on that day. Smoothing out brown hoodie that she had thrown on shortly before wandering out across the campus, the disgruntled thill eventually moved on to straighten her glasses, taking in the view that was around. Besides the fact that it was much louder on the inside than she would have guessed, Gemini felt quite out of place among the crowd. Her bottlebrush tail kept close to her as she moved through the waves of people that had piled in, and while the close distance of all of their bodies was probably nice and toasty, she wasn't much for the entire touchy-touchy rhythm that the music had. She couldn't understand the words that were metaphorically being spit out from the speakers that were positioned around clever-like, but there was plenty of action going on. Someone yelled in her ear but she didn't think it was for her when she passed a pair of 'dragons that were standing rather close to one another as she walked in front of a speaker although she reckoned that it would have been smarter for them to move somewhere else than in front of a speaker. But ever so slowly as she neared a small 'bar' like area that seemed just a tad quieter, the fast-paced, crude sounding noise (she dared not to call it music mentally) died down and the chatter of the club swayed in. She took the deft opportunity to grab a seat that had been vacated only moments after she had wandered in, and the sandy thill was happy to have found the nice barstool. Now that she had been shoved in there, and was beginning to feel the cold leave her body and the feeling return to her feet, Gemini figured that it couldn't hurt to observe what was going on around her, rather than participating in it, at least for the time being. And judging from the dancing that was starting to kick up with the next song – this time from a genre that she could stand – she knew that she wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of dancing. Flicking an ear backward for a moment, she let the jabberwocky appendages filter out things for a moment, shaking her passively when the 'bartender' asked her if she wanted anything.</p></font></blockquote>
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>lol stop with the paddles, and calm down lol.</td></tr></table> Matt was shuffling around behind the vibrating building, he had seen the queue and given up instantly, he always hated having to shove and push his way through things. Well sometimes. He leaned with his back up against the wall as his wings curled around him, the silver feathers a stark contrast to his jet black fur yet doing a great job of keeping him warm. He had come with Jade who had disappeared for a moment; he looked around the trees to see her yet sighed as she knew perfectly well where he was. His eyes however, did fall on some strange looking thill that seemed to be either draining cigarettes in record time or talking to the bouncer. She looked very cold to him, the way she pulled her arms around herself, her fingers burring into her fur. His head snapped to the side as he heard the mass groan of the mob outside, he smirked lightly at their misfortune and looked back at the thill. Then like a bubble pooping in his mind he realized why she looked so weird, he had seen her before in the digital papers, and the news. His brain scanned his memory trying to find her name mixed around in the jumble of his mind, he tilted his head to the side with an expression of mild annoyance at his memory loss. Then a name came to him out of the fog of his thoughts, stomthing, no, erm Stormwing. He grinned at his triumph over his forgetfulness and looked at her again, normally he didnÂ’t agree with smoking yet with the amount of things he had heard about her he decided she deserved a little stress relief. He leaned backwards more, letting his back slide a little further down the wall as his leg lifted up and propped himself up again, standing with one leg folded and hit other down. He contemplated talking to the Storm girl while he waited for Jade to pop up somewhere, his gaze lifting up to the clouds above and making strange shapes with them in his mind.
OoC - I apologize for the delay. I honestly thought some of the other people who'd said they were interested would pop in, but, I guess not. *Shrugs* to you guys, though. BiC - The first exhale surrounded Riot with a cloud of smoke, and she smiled even wider as the haze hovered in front of her, then dissipated into the dark air. When it had completely disappeared into nothingness, leaving the crisp, cool night behind, the thill saw an arden that she had not noticed before. He'd been hidden by the curtain of smoke, but now she could see him, with his back against the wall and one of his legs propped up beneath him. He had obviously noticed her before she'd noticed him — his eyes were upon her, as if trying to recognize her face, and Riot found her ears pinning backwards under that stare. It was just alien and uncomfortable. "Can I help you?" Ri asked, then, walking further into the side alley next to the night club. "You shouldn't really be back here, it's trespassing. This is private property, and only personnel should be anywhere but out front or inside," she added, crossing her arms over her chest as she locked her bicolored gaze upon this stranger. She still held the cigarette between two fingers, away from herself, so that she wouldn't singe her own cinnamon fur.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Sorry for late reply, I just got past my writer's block today. >_< </td></tr></table> Jade pushed through the mob of ‘dragons trying to get to the front of the line and somehow sneak in. Had she not have been taken, she might have tried alternative mean’s, but she was far too content with whom she was with. She groaned as she was nearing a dense and some what stoned out looking group. A particular male grabbed hold of her wrist, but once she turned around to give him a cold glare he let go. Not thinking anymore of the incident she stalked off and then re-adjusted her black and red arm band. It was striped horizontally and looked awesome on her. The colors matched well with her punky theme and it just suited her overall sporty look. She ran her fingers through her knotted hair, giving it a nice wavy effect. If she could just get past this next couple- the crowd made a whining sound. What’re they griping about? As she neared the entrance she heard a man saying something like “No room- go home". No room?! Ah what the hell! Jade slumped her shoulders and stood disheartened. Tonight was the first night she had ever worn her torn up denim miniskirt. It accentuated her legs and curves, and it was all for Matt. Now she wouldn’t even be able to show it off dancing. Damn… Giving up once and for all, she walked back towards the side of the building. She had caught a glimpse of Matt leaning up against the wall, hopefully he was still there. Her mismatched eyes scanned the area, trying to reorient herself. Out of the corner of her eye she caught sight of his silver feathers and headed off towards him. Her pace quickened as she had seen a brown colored femme talking to him. <span style='color:green'>“Hey Matt."</span> Her arm slid to his shoulder, leaning on him gently. <span style='color:green'>“They’re jam packed and they’ve just sent everyone off. I guess we’re not getting in tonight…"</span> She looked disappointedly at Matt and paid no heed to the other 'dragon.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>K IÂ’m posting now, since Akumu's character isnÂ’t directly around yet and I didnÂ’t think it would be too bad if it went along. And I hope you sort stuff out Akumu, it will be good to see you back online again.</td></tr></table> IC Matt smiled immediately broadened when he saw Jade, momentarily ignoring Riot and her trespassing things. eh slid his arm around her and sighed heavily as he felt the comforting warmth or her fine, soft fur. He smiled to himself and kissed her forehead as she complained about the club and nuzzled into him. He was also checking out slightly her attire and smiled at her again with a little glimmer in her eyes. He could tell she had put extra attention into dressing up tonight since skirts werenÂ’t usually her thing. He thought he might as well make her feel special in them since she wouldnÂ’t be able to show it off. "Hey Jade, wow you look great tonight." He said with a wide grin giving her a comforting squeeze. "And donÂ’t worry about the club, it will be alright." trying he best at saving the night. He turned and looked back at Riot, trying to think over a quick solution to the problem that didnÂ’t leave them with no where to go. He didnÂ’t want Jade outside for too long in the cold considering she wasnÂ’t dressed for it. Subconsciously his wing was already creeping around her trying to keep her safe from the harsh Tessera air. "Were not causing any trouble or anything, where just trying to wait out of the wind for some of the people inside to leave. But if we are bothering you that much we can still leave." he said. Trying to go for the sympathy vote was a bit of a long shot but he was being sincere about it all. He swished his tail around nervously, the flame making unusual patterns in the dark background.
OoC - I'm going to put this on hold and archive it, due to the fact that I don't want to continue without Akumu, and because it's going slow, anyway. If anyone would like it taken back out of archival to continue it at a later date, feel free to PM me.
