Mia 48 81382 Pendzez Zazkex gray trousers with green stripes on the side and a long red scarf covering neck and mouth The hot ground of the Tmu desert made uneasy to walk on. One Pendargon of a vibrant orange pelt was walking upon the hot earth. Pendzez was holding his Tracker which was get energy signals. Pendzez was able to get time off at the NRF. "Now, where could it be? Mabye I could drop by Jynx's cave. Luckly I brought the Fire Stone Jynx gave me." He put the Stone in his hand and held it tightly. He was walking on the ground like it didn't burn his feet.
Jynx Lironiana black muscle shirt, shorts and a black scarf covering her mouth and nose Jynx walked carefully across the hot sand, immune to the heat on her bare paws. She looked across the seemingly endless dunes of sand, spotting something strange on a dune not too far away. Is that...Pendzez? She wondered, seeing the arden walking across the sand away from her. It is! She took off running toward him, crossing the hot sand easily as she came to a stop behind him, kicking up a little sand. "Hey." She said, smiling though it was hidden by her scarf.
Still walking the hot sands, Pendzez still search for this thing he was looking for. He came to a pause when hearing a voice right behind him. He spun around to see a quite familiar face. "Jynx." Pendzez gave her light hug then released her. "Hi, it's been awhile."
Jynx hugged him back, smiling. "Yeah, it has." She looked across the sand again, seeing the beginnings of a sand storm in the distance. She frowned a little; they were pretty far from the cave. "Are you up for a race?" She asked, turning to grin at Pendzez and gesturing toward the sand gathering a few miles away.
Pendzez looked across the dunes to see a sand reading. He could notice it because his Tracker was getting interference. He turned to Jynx. "Sure." Pendzez changed to his quadruped form so he'll be me more quicker. "When your ready."
Jynx shifted slightly on the sand, smiling and Pendzez. "Ready..." She looked behind them, seeing the storm picking up speed. "Go!" She bolted across the sand, using the dunes to her advantge as she raced home, hoping he didn't get lost.
Pendzez readied himself to run. As Jynx said <span style='color:gray'>'Go'</span>, Pendzez ran across the burning sands. He was right behind Jynx, but she didn't seem to notice. Pendzez eventually caught up to her, running beside her.
Jynx saw the cave in the distance, disappearing and reappearing in the sand that was flung up around it. She reached up to make sure her scarf was secure around her mouth and nose and loked around. Pendzez was right beside her. She put a hand on his back to get his attention and pointed to the cave, barely able to make it out. She bent down a little as the storm hit them, trying to protect her face. "You can go on ahead. Just go toward that spot over there and I'll catch up. We'll have to wait this one out and hope it doesn't bury the cave." She had to shout just a little bit over the roaring winds, but she hoped he heard.
Pendzez saw the cave that Jynx was pointing at. He then looked at Jynx and nodded. "Ok, becareful." Pendzez increased speed to get to the spot Jynx was talking about. He got there then looked around for Jynx. "Where is she?" He tried to look through the sand but couldn't she anything.
Jynx watched Pendzez run to the cave, making sure he got there before turning a little to the side and running to another, smaller cave. She reached it, just barely getting inside and slamming the door behind her. She took a quick stock of the food and water supplies before running through the tunnel that connected it to the main cave. She could hear the howling wind outside, hoping he hadn't gone back out to look for her. She pulled the gem from around her neck and put it into a slot by the door, watching it open just enough to let Pendzez in. "Pendzez!" She called.
Pendzez got into the cave and was covered in sand. Still in his quadruped form, he shook the sand off. He heard Jynx calling his name, she must have thought that Pendzez was still out there. He walked up behind her and said, "What?"
Jynx jumped when he answered from behind her, slamming the door shut before turning around. She sighed, shaking her head and smiled at him. "Don't do that." She giggled a little, sitting down for a moment. "We'll go deeper in the cave after I rest for a second." She said, closing her eyes and leaning her head back.
Pendzez laughed and smiled. "Sorry about that." He laid down, crossing his two front feet as a rest for is head. He then lifted and asked, "So is your brother in?" Pendzez looked at the pathway of the cave then back to Jynx.
Jynx opened one eye, smiling at Pendzez. "That's ok." She sighed, getting up and stretching a bit. She paused at his question and frowned a little, looking down the passage as well. "I don't know. I went out for a long time, so he could have come home." She moved over to the entrance of the tunnel, listening intently. "I can't tell." She said finally, turning back with a slight frown. Her stomach growled a little and she blushed, putting a hand on her stomach. "Are you hungry? We have plenty to eat." She offered, still blushing softly.
Pendzez's stomach growled too and he blushed a little. "Yeah, I am. I didn't even had breakfast this morning." Still in his quadruped form, Pendzez got up, had a little stretch, and went over to Jynx.
Jynx put a hand on Pendzez's back, to make sure he knew where she was. "The tunnels get pretty dark, because we're going farther underground, ok?" Jynx gave him a quick smile and led him into the dark, moving through a twisted maze by memory alone. "We're lucky I remember these passages like the back of my hand, or we might end up in my brother's room instead of the kitchen." She said, laughing. It took a few minutes before she found her way to the kitchen, making sure Pendzez was right beside her the whole time. "Stay right here, ok?" She let go of him, moving across the huge cave to the opposite wall. She found a pile of wood and picked up a few logs. As she turned around, she saw Pendzez's tail flame shing in the dark and giggled, having forgotten it would provide a little light. She took a few steps forward and knelt down, stacking the logs so that there was a little hollow beneath them. She light a match, setting it in the hollow. With the small circle of light the fire provided, she moved around the pit, pouring a little bit of gasoline onto the logs. After a moment, the fire roared to life, illuminating the entire cave. "There. I'll get cooking, ok?" She smiled at Pendzez and moved to another wall, where counters and cabinets stood, waiting to be used.
Pendzez walked next to Jynx as they walked into the cave. Feeling Jynx put her hand on his back, Pendzez walked beside Jynx so he wouldn't get lost. He paused when Jynx told him to. He heard logs, grunts and groans. The he smelled gasoline then the cave lit up like a lantern. "Wow, nice cave." He turned to Jynx as she opened the cabinets. "So, I guess he's not in, but just because the lights weren't on doesn't mean no ones home, I suppose."
Jynx pulled out a bunch of different foods, pausing as Pendzez spoke. "He doesn't like to leave lights on if he doesn't need them." She answered absently. She put two steaks into a pan, moving over to the fire as she put the lid on it. She put the pan on a little ledge in the pit, close enough to the fire to cook but not to burn. "I think he might still be on his last job, though. He said it might take a while." She moved back toward the cabinets, turning to Pendzez with a smile. "Want something to drink?"
Pendzez nodded as she spoke. "Well, that answers that." When Jynx offered a drink, Pendzez smiled, "Yes please. Let me just change." He then readied himself to change back into his bipedal form. He then changed back into his bipedal form.
Jynx nodded agreement, smiling over at Pendzez before turning back to the cabinets. "What would you like? We've got water, juice...I might have hidden a soda or two back there." She peered into the cabinet, standing on tip-toes to see the top shelf.
