1.
Time of Day: Mid-morning

She squinted as she gazed upward into the sky, white feathered wings stretching out behind her as she contemplated something in silence. Her silver eyes, not at all distracting unlike her vibrant orange hair, did not look directly at Redveja. Instead, they sought out some invisible item that lurked in her thoughts. For hours, she'd been searching, and for hours she'd come up short. The fantasy that played out in her mind left her void of attention, at least until a familiar and small blob of sandy brown and white pounced upon her from behind. "For Fronna's sake, Deika!" The irate cry was enough to startle her younger sibling away, and Deika Thantine promptly whined complainingly. "But Au'ni! I wanted to play!" she shouted, pale eyes narrowing at her elder sibling. One large foot stamped at the cold ground. Aumis waved the younger Yki away with an annoyed hand gesture.

"Deika, I'm trying to think." Why was it so hard for her to understand that? The little girl let out an angry huff of air at being ignored, turning on her toes and storming off toward the home shared by five out of seven of the Thantine family members; as she departed, Aumis swore she could hear the young female muttering about bothering Kielo instead. Silver eyes rolled to the side. Vraak, Deika, I'm trying to think; I don't have time for you. All she wanted to do was make a decision, and her sister's presence didn't help settle her heavy mind. She hadn't left the Tribe in all her twenty years, but the allure of it left her wondering about the world outside of Sucam Island, outside of Dhruv. Her sister, Nahmburra, had disappeared into the rest of the world only a few years before.

The faintest sigh escaped the white female as she flopped her small body onto the ground, closing her eyes to devote time to the decision.
