  1. As if I need another rp. Well I donÂ’t but I want another one so there.

Ok this is going to be the first Menlo game played in RaL. http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?showentry=159[Menlo]</a> It will be a Game Board match, as many people as want to join can, but please only one char per person we donÂ’t want 50 chars in the same game, maybe in the future and we will call it the great Menlo Massacre. But that is not what we want in this one. As few chars as possible. Here are the rules that will apply to this match. Of course some rules can be broken for interesting plot twists but only if needed.:

    1. No viruses
    2. No separate components
    3. Pretty much just Arena rules
    4. No fronima use for pendragons. For example no pyrokinesis, elemental sorcery and that type of thing unless it is part of the suit.

So I will have Syray, who is organizing the entire thing, and Ashavia who is going to be my char who actually fights. So if interested post here, once there are enough people I will start the thread and post it here.

  2. Wow, I never even knew that game existed, it sounds really fun. I think it would be fun to put Lyra in. She enjoys fighting. But I have a few questions. I seem to always have questions.

Do the players themselves have to make/work on there own cards or can it be done by a friend or pay for it to be done?

Are they quad or biped when fighting in the suits?

    Where is it being held?

I think I had some more but they slip my mind right now. And thatÂ’s a fair few for now. I love the suits you recently put up on DA, they look fun to use^^

  3. Oh well it only existed until today so that would explain it. I have had it in the works for a week or too.

Yeah, they can buy premade ones, pay for them to be made, or steal it if they so feel. Or borrow it from a friend or something. So no they do not have to make it themselves.

It depends on what you want, I find that biped is a little easier, so I think in the rp it will be bipedal.

It will be held at the edge of Magi lake, but the actualy virtual reality where they fight is different. It is a surprise to the characters, but if you must know it will be an abondoned city type setting, scyscrapers, alleys and things.

Oh thanks, I was in a very drawing mood that day. ^^

  4. Yep, what I wanted to know was the Magi lake location. To know how far it is from the school. I will for sure be putting her in now, it gives me a great idea for her future. Seeing your drawings makes me want to go dress her up like that.^^

  5. Oh ok. Yeah I have been drawinglots of the suits. ^^ I have Menlo on the brain. This is the one I am going to use for ashavia : http://www.deviantart.com/view/9834784/[Arutav]</a> It seems to suit her very well, plus the picture is too cool not to use. Hehe. ^^

So far we have 2 contestants

    Ashavia-Pirateferret
    Lyra-Lautir

  6. My new char Dade is in *grin* I created him as a Menlo junky because it looks great!

  7. Yay! Thank you for joining Kitsufox. ^^ So I only think we need about 3 more people, we are about half way there. ^^

So far we have 3 contestants

    Ashavia-Pirateferret
    Lyra-Lautir
    Dade-Kitsufox

  8. Cool. Yeah that would be perfectly fine. Ok so only 2 more people.

So far we have 4 contestants

    Ashavia-Pirateferret
    Lyra-Lautir
    Dade-Kitsufox
    Sylverstryx-Sadistic_tendancies

  9. *jumps up and down* I'd love to enter one of my chars! For some reason, Polarri comes to mind... *shrug*

But hey. I've narrowed it down to Salty, Avalon, or Polarri. It might give Salty a chance to practice his fighting skills - he's a little paranoid. ^^; Avalon's a bouncer, so unarmed combat's natural to him. And Polarri? He's a veteran. :P

Wait - I've made up my mind! Avalon! I've been dying to use just him in an RP for ages! ^_^

  10. Hey, Pirateferret, do you have a way that you'll be doing the combat? If this is going to become a widespread game, the OOC rules will be just as important as the IC ones...

  11. Well, I have a system of points that you can applie to your suit to give it strengths and weaknesses and things, but I think we can do without it in this match.

Pretty much the main thing is not to godmodel, you can't be all powerful, these are not like giant robot things. Also when you first enter the game, you will not be able to see any other players, sorta like hide and seek. You find one and fight against them sorta. And if you so feel run from that fight and go start or join another. So its like a series of smaller fights I guess, but each fight can effect the others. Thats sorta the reason there is an entire different game play for proffetionals with only two players, so that they are less hectic and more controled.

To sum up, I dont really have a plan no, this is the first time I have organized something like this so we will have to just make do. This is the experiment run, to see what I need to add and take from the game. ^^

Yay, ok only 1 more person
So far we have 5 contestants

    Ashavia- Pirateferret
    Lyra- Lautir
    Dade- Kitsufox
    Sylverstryx- Sadistic_tendancies
    Avalon- Kwoiffei

  12. dude... You really should figure that stuff out befor you run the game...
The OOC system of running an IC competition fairly is just as important as the IC rules...

  13. I dont want to over regulate it. Besides the only thing that I think is a major problem is godmodeling, but most people on this site are mature enough not to do something like that. As long as someone is able to admit that their characters have weaknesses and that they CAN infact get hurt in the game then it should work.

If it can't, I have a point system that gives you 42 points to assighn to different atributes of the suit and you can add higher or lower levels of points to each trait depending on what you prefer.
    Here is an esample:

    Function:
    Power: ******
    Speed: *****************
    Defense: ***
    Accuracy: **********
    Reliability: ****
    Fronima Use: **

So suit will low speed will be less acurate against a suit with high speed. But I figure in this match, the people that try this out should not need to be so regulated. But if you guys feel like we would need this sort of thing, then go ahead and fill it out. The stats for my suit are the ones I used for the example.

  14. personaly, I'm a Regulation Monger.
But i'm also a big fan of Randomness... Comes from my D&D background. I like Statistics and rules, and a clear 'It works this way' sort of setup.

*shrugs* It's up to you what you want to do, but what's the OOC structure for how each bout is won? Is it just want hte players decide? I mean thier are no defines rules that you've given as far as the who wins what stuff.

  15. As in real live the outcome of a match can be pure luck, so no, there is no predetermined way to tell who will win. If there is an individual fight between two players they can decide between them who will win. It pretty much we just decide as we go along. I mean if Ashavia gets matched up with a strong, big pendragon she will not likely win. I can just say she attacked it and yada yada, and if the owner of the other suit decides that their suit is also low on acuracy and that is has a hard time even hitting ashavia she will stand more of a chance and might be able to run away to a different fight.

  16. Ooh, ooh! That final spot is still open, riiight? Because if it is, could my Schism join in? She's only seventeen, but, er, she's a liar. And the Tribes would lie for her and make her a year older. Either that or, if you don't want that, then could Xerxes join in? :3

  17. Yep the final spot is open, but now it is not. Ok so that is all no more people unless you PM me with a good reason to join. I am going to go make the first post....

Yeah its alright to be under the age limit when you fight (its just so the company doesn't get sued by angry parents >D)

We have 6 contestants and are not axcepting more.

    Ashavia- Pirateferret
    Lyra- Lautir
    Dade- Kitsufox
    Sylverstryx- Sadistic_tendancies
    Avalon- Kwoiffei
    Schism- Fused Eidolon

  18. Alrighty, here we go. This is going to be pretty free, if there are any disputes or disagreements,
there is already a plan worked out that will regulate the aspects of the game such as whether or not your character is hit, or whether or not your character's defence was able to stop the hit. If it is needed, we will use it.

    Ok linky:

  19. Well IÂ’ve lost track of days so IÂ’m leaving again this weekend. I donÂ’t want to hold you guys down so I was thinking that maybe Lyra could have a glitch with her card and be kick out of the round for a while before they get everything fixed up and can put her back in. Would that work?
