\\ OOC: Feel free to join in! Â Looking at the world map, they are to the east of the ruins, in the forested/plains area, going past the few mountains, moving westward towards the desert and the prison. \\ IC Day: 6th Month: Dyo Year: 81376 Nebai leads the way through the tall grassy springtime plains, as she always did. Temkaja daintily tiptoed behind her. They often just telepathed one another, and generally on a wavelength no one else could ever figure out. Seemingly constantly travelling in silence, they were always chatting. But, twins seemed to do that, whenever one comes across a rare occurance of same-egg twins, that is. 'Kaja. Knock it off. Nebai asks in her direct and calm, way. Temkaja looks at her sister, Stop what? What am I doing? You know perfectly well what you're doing. Nebai returns in a bored tone. Stepping through the tall grass she looks almost invisible. Her pelt was shades of orange and creams, and so was the grass. It hadn't yet warmed up to the spring time. No I don't. Temkaja returns innocently. Yes you do. No I don't. 'Kaja. Nebai's tone was final. When will you learn you can't manipulate me? I can see inside that airy head of yours, while others just see clouds. Temkaja giggles, scrunching her nose up comically, They do, don't they? It's such a fun challenge to play with females. They think they're so good. Nebai doesn't answer and the lavender pendragon giggles again, Okay. I'm stopping. Thank you. To any outside person, Temkaja wasn't doing anything, but following behind Nebai. But Nebai walked silently, the only notice of her being there was the waving grass, and she moved in such a way that it looked natural. She was a hunter after all. But Temkaja wasn't moving stealthily. She was prancing. And Nebai was in no mood the be sought out by anyone. Then again, she never wanted to deal with others. And the way Temkaja was moving, was sure to attract attention..
Some other creature of some sort catches up with the two and follows in their path through the tall grass. Being stealthy to them both. Getsd beneath the trailing 'dragon and walks beneath him as they progress on through the plain.
Nebai flicks an ear back, annoyed that Temkaja was still prancing like an idiot, and listens carefully. Extra rustling was heard, but she keeps moving forward at the same pace. Temkaja was obviously clueless; she manipulated well, but she had no wilderness-sense. She'd get eaten or runover in a stampede if it weren't for Nebai. The orange-hued pendragon whips around, startling Temkaja into a backward-leaning defensive pose, while Nebai looks around for the culprit, teeth bared in irritation, but no sound emitted. Temkaja looks at her sister, "What is it?"
Looks up at Nebai from between the other 'dragon's legs and glares at her. Takes a deep breathe and prepares incase she attempts to attack. Lets out the breathe slowly and continues to watch her.
Nebai stares at the creature, wondering just what it was. She was in unfamiliar territory, and therefore, was unfamiliar with the wildlife. "Look down." Nebai looks up at her sister, then back down. Temkaja looks down slowly, and spotting the creature, tilts her head comically, "Well, what is it?" Nebai raises an eyebrow, "Why should I know what it is?" "You're miss huntress, aren't you?" Temkaja raises the opposite eyebrow. Nebai flicks her ears back and snorts, "With you and your irresponsibility, I never know where I am. And know the critters even less." Temkaja points at her sister and nods sagely, "You should study, then." Nebai grits her teeth and shakes her head. "You're impossible." Temkaja grins, and looks down at the critter between her front legs, "So, what're you, lil' fellow? Or.. lil' lady?"
Slips back from Nebai and continues to glare at her. Stands up out of the grass and shows that it is a small pendragon about the size of a full grown housecat. Growls slightly as her eyes glow a bluish gray color. Links with her and speaks in a soft childish voice. [I'm Qamu Mamy...] Flexes her small unformed wings as she watches them both.
Temkaja grins, becoming completely personable, "Well, I apologize, you see, with my lovely sibling, it's not often I get to meet many others." That was a lie. But not one any could see through. "I'm Temkaja. You must excuse Nebai, she's rather anti-social. How are you this fine day?" plesant smile, full of compassion. She had this acting thing down to a T. Nebai snorts in disgust at her twin and turns, walking away through the tall grasses. Temkaja pauses, "Shall we continue our discussion on the move? She seems to not be waiting for us.." 'Kaja was quite afraid of being left alone in the middle of nowhere; since she had neither the fighting skill, nor the desire to harm anything physically. It was.. dirty.. in her opinion. She mess with anyone's mind, but strike them? Ew.
Grins slightly and nods slowly as she relaxes a bit. [I don't mind it at all.] Walks a bit ahead of Temkaja and looks back at her with those gentle blue eyes. [Oh, and I'm doing well...for my first day away from the academy...]
Temkaja tilts her head as they walk, following behind a miffed Nebai, "Academy? Well, you've gotta be one smart 'dragon to get in there." she nods seriously. "Never been there, myself." Temkaja sighs whistfully, "Lots of other schools, though, since Nebai likes exploring." She lays the blame on their constantly moving on Nebai. Nebai rolls her eyes, and says nothing, still walking, and still alert. No use not letting them know where she is. She could just blend in and slip away. But instead, she wags her tail, creating unnessecary movement in the grass. 'Kaja was chatting and prancing so their 'cover' was blown, anyway.
[So...is she one ofthe strong-silent type?] Walks the wave of the grass nearby, glares at it slightly and licks her nose. Sticks close to Temkaja as they walk. Sighs softly and jumps a small puddle of water.
Temkaja nods, "You know, that's exactly right, Nebai is one of those strong silent types. 'Kaja was nodding, as she looked to Qamu, "See, knew you were bright." Nebai turns her head to look back at her twin and snorts a second time. Knock it off, 'Kaja, or I'll smack you. She's just a kid. Pick on someone your own size. Temkaja sighs mentally, Alright.. but she's cute! She's not a toy. Temkaja looks down at Qamu, smiling brightly, "So, where you going now?"
Shakes her head and continues, looks up at the sky then back down. [I have...no real place of importants to go to. So you could say that I'm wandering.] Thinks a bit about her mother and sighs lightly. Folds her black tipped ears back and moves over tot eh other side of Temkaja to avoid a rock in the grass ahead of her.
'Kaja. Oh, I can still talk to her, can't I?! Yes. But don't manipulate her. I promise on my mother. Our mother. Nebai rolls her eyes again. Right. Our mother. Temkaja smiles down at Qamu, "But don't classes start soon at the academy?" she pauses, "I don't really know anything about the academy, though."
[Well, I miss placed my pass into the academy...so I don't know if I will beable to go ahead to there.] Looks away as she passes the rock. Walks over to the other side of Temkaja and coughs slightly. Looks back up at her and glares. [I might not return to the academy.]
Nebai stops, looking up above the grasses. She rears onto her hind legs, peering carefully. She was exposed now, but she wanted to be able to see where they were going. Dropping to all fours, she looks back at them, "Don't go anywhere, please. I'm going to scout the area." With that, Nebai disappears completely into the tall golden plantlife covering the plain. Temkaja watches her go, ears pricked forward, listening, but she can't hear a thing. Nebai really did hunt quite well. With a sigh covering her shakiness, she sits and looks at Qamu, who had glared when she last spoke, "Well, then I guess the next question to ask is, do you want to go back? I'm sure they'd help you out, if you did." Temkaja sensed the apprehension in the niotie's telepathed voice, but she would have to wait until she was told voluntarily. Nebai had forbidden her to manipulate anything out of her, and Temkaja would rather not anger her twin when they were so far away from civilization.
Sits down beside Temkaja and leans her head against Temkaja's hip. Closes her eyes slightly and listens for any kind of sound. Licks her lips slowly and relaxes a bit. [I...don't know what to do...anymore.]
Temkaja reaches out a lavender paw and strokes Qamu's shoulder, "Well, you can stay with us for now, until you do figure out what you're doing. Nebai won't mind." Well, the truth really was, Nebai would tolerate.
Purs and nuzzles against Temkaja's side gently as she smiles to herself. [I would like that...thanks for be so good to me.] Wraps her tail about the base of her body and feels safe with Temkaja beside her. So close by.
Nebai comes back, appearing as if out of mid-air. If Temkaja was startled, she didn't show it. But then, 'Kaja was busy smiling warmly at a content Qamu. Nebai looks over the two of them and shakes her head, a smile appearing, She's staying isn't she? Temkaja nods just the slightest, I said she could. She's little, and she hasn't anywhere else to go.. Nebai raises an eyebrow, Well this is a new development. What is? You. Caring for someone other than yourself. Temkaja smirks, Guess it kinda happens when you threaten my life over manipulating a niotie. Nebai grins, I should threaten you more often, then. The entire conversation had taken only a few moments between the closely linked twins. Nebai looks at Qamu, "Temkaja tells me you're staying with us. If that's the case, you're welcome to stay." She then looks between the two of them, "There's a herd of kyffen not too far off, and I don't want them to try and stampede us if they smell us, so we're moving closer to the mountains as we pass them by, just in case we need to make a quick escape. Follow me, please." Nebai turns and walks slowly back into the grass. This time waving her tail to leave a trail of unnaturally moving grass for them to follow as she heads south, closer to the mountains. Temkaja watches her sister move off, and waits for Qamu to stand and begin following first; she didn't want to knock the little one over as she got up.
Gets up and shakes herself of grass seeds Follows after Nebai's trail left in the grass. Looks back at Kaja making sure that she was following. [Nebai...is she always like that?] Looks back ahead and continues on the trail.
