So here's a place, and here's a time. Dyo 4 -81379- 7:20AM

It was dawn. Well, almost dawn. The sun was a few inches away from the horizon. You could tell since half of the sky had a pinkish orange color, while the other half still layed in dark blue. There was a light fog as it had just finished raining a few hours ago. The cool wetness of the grass massaged the foot of any that stepped on it. There was one who had stepped on it. His feet were bare and he wore no shirt. His upper body was drenched in 3 hour old rain. His jeans were covered in dew that never made it to the grass. He sat under a tree at the base of the mountains. "That's a far way up... he thought. I wonder if I'll be able to make it with the new version. As doubts floated threw his mind, he picked up his black shirt and put it over his head. As he fit his arms through his sleeves he began to talk to himself more. "I shouldn't have to worry about winds carrying me off, but the energy consumption is still a problem." He sighed. It was a smart move to link his newest prototype, Steel Wing v3.2, to the body's natural energy rather than electricity. "However, that still lets fatigue become a problem. Overcome that and it'll be finished. Hopefully, it'll work better than I'm predicting it to. He smiled to himself. Finally, he thought, my first completed project. It's time to put it to work. The SW3.2 laid there on the grass, next to him. "Well, what am I waiting for? Company? Time to move." He stood up and picked up his invention. He strapped it right under his armpits so the main part would attach to his back 'nubs'. "Ok. Turn the lock, flick it on, and adjust the electrici-AHH!" The electricity flowed into his bones and veins and nerves. A small jolt of pain followed. His arm and shoulders twitched as his body adjusted to its new additions. After a few seconds, the pain was gone and the SW3.2 was fully operational. "Well, movement works fine. Properly connected to nervous system. OK. Now time to see how far I can fly up. I can imagine it now. Kojset Geajja. Head of a Multi-Billion Dollar Corporation. This invention will take me to the top. First the mountain.. then... the world..." He looked up at the mountain. He searched for a place to perch before he flew up. He found one. It was a small flat plane on the mountain. That was his destination. He bent his knees and got ready to jump into flight. He counted softly under his breath. 3.....2.....1... But before he could reach "Jump!" he heard something. Someone was around. "Hello?", he called out. Someone was there. He knew. He just couldn't see where.
Rom laid in the grass, she was covered in dew as she had slept there all night. She had left the city to find her way back home. She needed a break from the noises and smells of the city, a vacation from nothing to go and do nothing. It had been months since she had woken up to the sound of the out doors, Rom rolled over on to her back a large smile spread across her face, as if she had gotten some last night. Soft golden eyes opened to see the light pink colour of the sky. Sun rise her favorite time of day, most things still asleep, everything silent. Silence was a thing Rom had always taken for advantage, but now she was savoring every second of it. I donÂ’t want to move or this might all become a dream, Rom thought to herself. ItÂ’s all going to disappear and will be back in that squeaky bed in that loud smelly city with all those mean people. It wasnÂ’t till then when she learned she wasnÂ’t alone, she though about it for a moment but yes, yes she had heard a mans voice she was certain of it. Rom suddenly sat up, a bit of dew running down her cheek and realized she was really in a field. ThatÂ’s strange, I could have sworn I heard a voice out here; ah it must have just been part of the dream. Rom stated to her self as she fell back on to the only patch of dry grass in the area, it felt so nice to be the only person in such a large area.
[OOC]Question, are there any trees in this area? And ya..hope you dont care if my posts are somewhat..small..i suck i admit it.[End OOC] Sage sat on the branch of some random dead tree he found, he took a quick glance of his surroundings and spotted another 'dragon, female by his guess. He watched her for a few momments and heard a rather loud crack emit from the branch he was sitting on, "Ah crap.." he managed to say before the branch gave out and broke.
Out of Character

Don't ask me if there are trees around. If you picture trees in your head, make everyone else see trees. And yes, the base of this mountain has trees around it. Brunken: Can I assume that Rom closed her eyes at the end of your post?

If a tree fell in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Well, this famous question proves to have nothing to do with what just happened, because there was someone there to hear it. THUMP! A loud crashing sound a small walk away. Birds in the general direction took flight to get away from whatever made that loud noise. My senses don't lie to me. Someone IS here. Koj sighed. If a tree really DID fall, someone might be stuck under it. He walked in the direction of where the sound came from. As he walked, he noticed a girl laying on the grass. Was she the one who fell off the tree? He knelt down and looked at her closely. "Hey," he said putting his hand on her head gently."Are you okay?" He looked around to see if anyone else was around. Not only did he not see anyone, but he didn't notice any trees on the ground. Something had to have fallen. Then it dawned on him. "A tree didn't fall. She did. Oh no! She's probably in a coma or something! Wh-what do I do? [OOC]Koj seems to have mistaken Rom as the one who has fallen, rather than Sage.
Out of Character

yeah of couse she was more the likely going to fall back asleep again anyways, thats my lazy Rom

Rom opened her eyes again to see a strange male above her, so she wasnÂ’t dreaming there was some one else in the field with her, there was also a large thumb. She pretty much figured it was just from the same fellow. She looked up and studied the worried expression on his face. Why wouldnÂ’t she be all right, she was just nicely having a nap before he had woken her up. Yes I am fine, youÂ’re the one who made some large crashing noise. I should be the one asking you if youÂ’re alright. She lifted her hand to remove his from her forehead so she could move. Rom sat up, her sopping wet blond hair hung down around her face making her look like a sheep dog that had been caught in a storm, her whole outfit was sopping we for that matter, but at the moment it didnÂ’t seem to bother her.
Sage sat up with a dazed look on his face, "Note to self..Never sit on the limb of a dead tree again."He said before blowing a bit of his light blueish hair out of his eyes. He took a glance at the tree and stood up, rubbing his head.
Koj turned around. He heard someone coming from out of the bushes. It must've been the one who fell from a tree. Well, if they have the power to walk they must be okay, but it's always safe to check. He turned back to the semi-asleep dragon. "Well," he said, "You have fun sitting here, doing whatever. I'm going to find out who reallyfell. Unless you'd like to come with me anyway. He didn't wait for an answer. Instead, he simply turned around with his thoughts on someone who's possibly in pain, with a broken leg or something. |Sometimes, it really sucks to be nice... But, I gotta do it.| When he walked past the bush, he saw a guy. He was standing up in front of a dead tree. From looking at the back of his shirt, which was covered in grass and wood chips, it was easy to tell he was the victim. But it didn't seem as if he was hurt. Koj walked up to him and brushed off the back of him. "You know it's not safe to sit on dead trees y'know. They like to make other people dead with them.
Since she was already awake Rom figured she might as investigate along with the male that had awoken her. She trailed rather closely grabbing the coat she had used as a pillow and blanket and throwing it over her shoulders. This man carried some sort of device on his back; Rom studied it for a few moments as thatÂ’s all of him she really could see. I wonder that that strange backpack like thing is, hmmm. The device wasnÂ’t able to hold her attention long as they came upon the true owner of who the crashing noise. Standing beside an obviously dead tree was another male figure this one with blue hair instead of a brown colour like the man standing in front of her. He must have tried to climb it or something. For what reason a person would have to be in a dead tree, is more then I can ever understand. She studied the two for a moment as she did when she came across new people. Studied how they were different and what made them the same. The one who had made a sorry attempt to be a bird seemed to be all right, no visible sight of any contusionÂ’s or open wounds. Yes he would survive from his fall Rom was sure of it.
Sage turned around as he heard someone speaking to him, "Yes..as i learned the hard way."He said as he started brushing woodchips from his black and red wings. He sighed softly and sat down, looking up at the two others infront of him, "My name is Sage, whats yours?"
What is his name? Was he serious? Who didn't know his name?! | No one knows my name... | THen it was a good question. A valid question. And valid questions were meant to be answered. "Geajja. Kojset Geajja. Future leader of the buisness world, and eccentric inventor. " He turned around and noticed the girl was still behind him. "And this is... umm... Who are you?" She was obviously the girl who was sleeping but that doesn't cut it as a name. He stepped back a bit to lean on the dead tree. |Hope this doesn't fall over with me leaning on it...|
My name is Rommimyta, but just plain Rom will do just fine. Rom brushed a silver soaking wet tendril of hair away from her face. ItÂ’s nice to meet both of you. Might I ask why youÂ’re both in a empty field before dawn? There isnÂ’t really thing out there that attracts tourists especially at this time of day. Rom looked over her shoulder at the rising sun, admiring the still salmon colour of the sky. She had never seen people out here before, at anytime of day why was today so different that it attracted two inhabitants. What ever it was Rom was sure she wanted to be a part of it.
An even better question! Now he had time to show off his creation to the world! Well, maybe just to two ramathians, but hey, he has to start somewhere. |Time to put on my buisness voice...| He let out a small cough to clear his throat a bit, then started he started to speak. " Well, if you must know, and yes you MUST know, I was going to test out these." He pointed to his metallic wings. "They're artificial. I finally got movement and propulsion to work with remote control, but now I switched to nervous system control. So now I can move it on my own. The one thing I haven't tried out yet is if it will get me off the ground. Which I was 'about' to do, when I heard a crick and a fall. Instinctively, I had to find out what it was. So, here I am." He streched out his wings and gave out a little yawn. He turned and noticed a little part of the sun rising up on the horizon. It has been quite a while since he was up this early. Seeing the sunrise made it worth it. Even though he was planning on seeing it from a height, like on the mountain, it's just as good on the ground. "And now. I'm going up that way to see the sunrise better.
Rom turned and looked at the on coming sun behind her, it was truly beautiful to see the sun rise for the first time since she had been home. She looked at the mans mechanical wings and stretched her own a bit. Yes they look fancy but could they really replace the real thing? They might be attached to his nervous system but he had not had them all his life and could never have the same kind of relationship Rom ad with her wings. Yes she might have hated them when she was younger, but that was just the awkwardness of their size. You honestly thing those things will get you all the way up there, before the sun is up? A skeptical tone had taken place in her voice as she wasnÂ’t really convinced the things would even get him 10 feet off the ground let alone to the top of a mountain.
"Well, of course not. If I thought it would get me to the top I would have brought a camera. I'm just trying to get high enough so I can see pas the trees. He pointed to a spot on the mountain. It wasn't the same spot from before. In fact, it was much higher up than the original one, but it was still a goal. And goals were meant to be reached. "I'm going to get at least up there, if I can't I'll just have to work on getting there. This thing is over two years worth of work and research. This machine is practically my best friend, as I have lost many because of my work. Oh well. I'm not going to bore you all with my past. I doubt anyone wants to remember anything of their own. Too many bad memories. Maybe it's just me though. Koj licked his lips. All this talking was making him thirsty. Regardless of the fact that he was already soaking wet. He scratched his head. He took his own shirt and wrapped it around his head. HIs brown and black fur sparkled by a combinaton of approaching sunlight and cool dew drops. He looked at his watch. 7:29 Wow, time was moving pretty slow. That usually beagn to happen on good days. It was a few seconds until he would go up to his mentally-marked area. The anticipation was killing him. |This will be too good or bad of a thing to have to myself,| he thought. He felt like sharing his soon-to-be achievement, or failure, with someone. Well, with Rom and Sage there, it wasn't too hard to find someone. "WEll, since you're here, ou obviously have nothing to do. So... would you like to join me in witnessing the greatest achievement in technology. In my opinion, anyway... Maybe I could rid you of your doubtfulness, Rom.
Rom studied the male for a few moments. What could it hurt really, it was probably rather pleasant up there this time of day and she could use the exercise. She had noticed she wasnÂ’t able to move as quickly as she could before so at least the exercise could to her some good. Alright sounds like fun, and I mean someone has to be with you so you donÂ’t end up plummeting to your death because of some mal function. Rom threw her coat to the side taking a mental not of where it was so she could come retrieve it later. With an impressive glimpse of her wingspan Rom lifted herself a few feet off the ground, almost hovering. So are we going to go or just sit around all day?
That was great. He had support. Even if it sounded a bit reluctant, it was better than nothing. As she got up and hovered, Koj held a small grin. |Of course I'm not gonna sit here. Stand. Whatever. I'll show you what this could do.| He stood on his toes, and closed his eyes. Inhale, exhale. Eyes become open. He did a little jump and fluttered his metallic limbs. He also hovered, in a way. Being a bit higher in the air then her, made him feel good. " I already know it could do this. Now, we got to go up higher. He tilted his head in a smile. "You know what? Let's make this fun. How about a race? To there. He pointed to the same spot from before. "Unless you aren't up to it." Ah yes, the old reverse psychology. THen she'd reply with something along the lines of "You're on!" or "Of course, I'm up to it!". Taunting someone with normal wings wouldn't be too smart though. Her wings were about 2 or 3 inches bigger than his. A bit intimidating, but he was supposed to be the pushy one. |I am going to lose soooooooo badly..|
Sage watched the two as they started the whole little hover thing. He simply leaned back against the tree and shruged, letting them have there fun.
Out of Character

Alright so this isnt how i intended my rommi to be played but its alot more fun this way! :D

Rom looked at him and moved a bit higher, kind of flexing her muscles or puffing out her chest, accepting his challenge. She already knew she would race him but she wanted to see how interesting she could make it. She sized him up a bit, flew a circle around him then looked him dead in the eye. And what will be my prize when I win? She said is an all so sure of herself tone. I am going to have to put in a little bit of effort for my victory but it will be my victory all the same. I just want to know what my motivation would be to race you to the top of that mountain.
An incentive eh? Well, it seemed that Sage wasn't going to race, but she was all for it. All he had to do was give her something if she'd win, which would most likely happen. He knew he didn't have anything on him to give, other than his shirt, but he had to do something. So, what will he do? Money? Nope, he doesn't even have that himself. |Equity to the invention?| Absolutely not. | Which brings us to the third most important question of existence... What DO women want?| Oh yes, the almighty question. Third only to the question 'What is the meaning of life?' and 'Which came first: pendragon or egg?' Finally, Koj came to a conclusion. The same conclusion he came to when he wondered 'What he should throw out in his room?' Also a very important question. |Everything..| He got the answer! Good for him. NOw all he had to do was not give her 'everything' but manage to give her 'something'. That wasn't too hard of a thing to do. He scratched his head at the thought of it. He even thought of something he could get himself. A very, very good something. Every soon-to-be-important buisnessman needed one. "Ok, ok. If you win, I'll make something for you. Anything you want. But... yes there's always a but, If I win, you'll have to be my secretary. Don't worry, I'll pay well. When I make money anyway. SO, is that good enough for you?
Out of Character

honey no man is going to be able to understand what women want, i am one and i dont even know lol

Rom thought about that for a moment. A job was what all these city people had that earned them money, and money in turn equaled coffee and coffee meant a happy Rom. But what really was a secretary and what would the job involve. Hopefully no heavy lifting, Rom hated lifting heavy things. But what could it hurt, he seemed like a nice enough guy, like a slave driver I the slightest. Well I could use a new toaster, all right deal. I win I get an invention and if you win you get a secretary.
