I went ahead and started this at the lake, since I didn't want to have to move the thread from the dorm to here. Just pretend that Ryth agreed to come.</td></tr></table>

IC: Jyta smiled as she and Ryth reached a shady spot about thirty feet from the shore of the lake. She put down the picnic basket and Frisbee that she was carrying, stretching her arms high above her head. She popped her fingers, sighing contentedly. Of course, all of these actions emphasized her short-short and tank-top clad figure (intentionally, of course). The tank top was black and had a faded image of some teen pop sensation of 20 years ago on it. She wore her customary golden hoop in her right ear.

Birds sang in the trees, and the weather was warm but not too hot. All in all, it was a perfect day for staying out of the dorm room. Jyta, realizing this, had dragged Ryth out of the room with her. Both of the had free days, but Tamay was in classes. <span style='color:#660000'>Ah well, too bad for her.</span>

Jyta picked up the Frisbee, tossing it experimentally up in the air, so that it twirled back to her paw. She turned her head over a shoulder to find the location of her orange-coated companion. He was a few feet away, and so Jyta didn't have to raise her voice very much. <span style='color:#660000'>"Hey Ryth, catch!"</span> She turned and threw the red disk toward him, laughing.

<table class=ooc><tr><td>Too bad you started this wonderful thread the day before I leave.</td></tr></table>

IC: Ryth streached and yawned. It was a nice day outside. Sometimes he wondered why he thought the outdoors were overrated. He was wearing a plain dark navy-blue shirt and some shorts he'd dug out of... somewhere. He had a length of chain made into a circle in his pocket, but he didn't like to wear it. It was cold and dug into his skin if he wore it as a necklace. When he wore it as a bracelet, it was too big if he wrapped it twice around his wrist, and he couldn't get it around three times. He didn't know why he kept it around. I guess I could beat somebody with it..., he thought. That pretty much summed up its usefulness.

<span style='color:660000'>"Hey Ryth, catch!"</span> came a voice. He turned and saw a red object hurtling towards his head. He didn't have time to think, reflexes saved him some loss of face and a hedaache. He tossed the Frisbee back towards Jyta. He thought about when she had asked him to come with her here. he wondered why he had thought twice. It is a nice day, Jyta is a good companion. Did I mention it was a nice day? That he had no classes only added to his feelings.

<table class=ooc><tr><td>Apologies, apologies. I promise not to zone out on the thread again. </td></tr></table>

Jyta grinned as she saw Ryth dodge the frisbee, albeit narrowly. She caught it, with a slight jump. Jyta sat back down, kicking off her sandals and wiggling her toes. She loved the summer quarter, so long as it wasn't too hot. The wine-colored femme made another half-hearted toss to Ryth, knowing that the frisbee would probably wind up on the ground a few feet away. She didn't really care, though. She might have, had her companion not been Ryth. <span style='color:#660000'>He's seen me drunk, hung over, and passed out in a corner. He can take me not being able to toss a frisbee.</span> She chuckled slightly to herself.

Jyta glanced at the picnic basket, her stomach rumbling slightly. She didn't know about Ryth, but she was hungry. Jyta hadn't eaten breakfast, since she'd sort've slept through it. Like usual. She decided to see if her orange companion wanted food. <span style='color:#660000'>"Oy, Ryth! You hungry?"</span> She reached into the picnic basket and grabbed some alcoholic beverage, popping the can. She took a sip, smiling.

<span style='color:#660000'>Life is good. Ryth is good. I like this.</span> She took another sip of the alcohol, mentally steering herself away from that particular train of thought. She knew she was a Seductress, relationships were a bad idea. She took another sip of her beer, wiggling her foot. <span style='color:#660000'>Still...</span>

    <table class=ooc><tr><td>Thank God it's Buttday.</td></tr></table>

Ryth fell heavily onto the ground nest to Jyta. "Starved. What we got?" He watched the femme, and wondered how this was possible. How could he, who had disasterous relationships with females before, had gotten himself hooked up with a Seductress? This certainly would be a story for my friends! But even as he thought that, he knew whatever went on here, between them, would stay between them. It just didn't seem right. Maybe Jyta had different thoughts, but that was a different matter.

While working through this in his head, Jyta had responded, and he hadn't heard her. He also had left himslef staring straight at her. She, noticing his uncomprehenion, repeated her words, blushing.

  5. Jyta's first reaction, upon noticing Ryth's stare, was to slap him. Before obeying her instinct, though, she noticed that his gaze wasn't (entirely) fixed on her chest. Some of it was, unusually enough for Jyta, focused on her face. Before she could stop herself, she was blushing. It was hard to tell unless you were studying the wine-coloured femme's face closely, as it simply got slightly darker. She had a feeling that Ryth had noticed, though.

She smiled slightly, regaining control of her features. For the most part, anyway. A slight tinge of blush still remained, and try as she might, Jyta couldn't rid herself of it. She gave up, finally noticing that Ryth was waiting for a reply. <span style='color:#660000'>"Oh, um..."</span> She dug through the picnic basket, examining the contents. She uncovered two sandwiches, a bag of chips (left over from some party, no doubt), a bag of miscellaneous candy (left over from the party where Ryth had nearly spit it on her), and various beverages of both the alcoholic and non- variety.

<span style='color:#660000'>"Sandwiches, Some chips, Candy, and your choice of Booze or Soda"</span> She passed him a sandwich, brushing his hand. She pulled it back in a base reaction, before she could think not to. She recovered by taking one for herself and putting the rest of the food out on the ground. She unwrapped her sandwich and took a bite.

Jyta was slightly uncomfortable from sitting, so she lay down on her stomach, hand under chin. She was kicking her feet back and forth, enjoying herself. She still had the little voice in the back of her head telling her to be careful, but she was choosing to ignore it. Some other voice had taken it, stuffed it far away in a corner in a box, and locked it. The box didn't seem to have airholes. Jyta preferred it that way.

  6. Ryth munched on his sandwich and tapped his foot to an unheard beat. Actually it wasn't unheard, he heard it fine. It was other people who couldn't hear it. He often wondered if he sould have become a musician. But he had no talent for musical instruments, he just loved music. A composer, perhaps. But when he though of a composer, he thought of classical music. That wasn't what he wanted. Oh, well.

He rolled over, off his back, to face Jyta. His eye caught the picnic basket, and remembered one of the items in the list of foodstuffs. "That candy, it isn't from the party...?" He trailed off, thinking of the party. That was pretty fun. Didn't Jyta say something about another? If it's better than last time, that would be great..., he thought.

  7. As Ryth asked the question, Jyta grinned devilishly. <span style='color:#660000'>"Oh, of course it is.</span> She laughed, not even beginning to examine what she was sure would be a look of absolute horror on Ryth's face. After she finished her burst of borderline hysteria, she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, letting out a contented sigh.

She took another bite of her sandwich, still grinning. Jyta rolled over and reached out to grab a handful of the candy, mostly peppermints and caramels. A peppermint was unwrapped with her teeth, and she tossed the wrapper back in the basket. She finished crunching up the mint, swallowing it and licking her lips.

Her pink eyes focused on Ryth's tapping feet, trying to figure out what beat they were going to. She couldn't hear anything, so she supposed he was tapping to something in his head. She knew that drummers did that, frequently, and it often made them look insane. Not that she minded... <span style='color:#660000'>"Ryth, what're you tapping your foot to?"</span> Jyta was actually asking this out of real curiosity, she was intrigued by his apparent skill at making musical beats up, a field she'd never had any skill in at all.

Jyta put her sandwich down, folding her arms under her chin, becoming more horizontal. She closed her eyes reduced her manic grin to a more sincere smile. Her feet stopped moving, and laid down on the ground instead. Jyta flicked her right ear, with the hoop in it, enjoying the feeling of the earring hitting her skin. Her hooded eyes opened again, as she looked up at Ryth for an answer to her question.

  8. Ryth looked up at Jyta. "Eh? Oh, it's nothing..." This sounded stupid, Jyta wasn't going to leave it at that. "It's, um... just a song stuck in my head." That was true. Anyways, she didn't deserve to know after she thought to bring the candy for the party... Actually that was pretty funny. He stifled a laugh. She didn't mean it as any harm.

His eyes ended up at Jyta. He couldn't help it. It just seemed to happen, always. Maybe that was why he had moved towards her at the party, instead, of say, Asenka. He wasn't complaining, in fact, he was pretty happy about it. When Jyta looked over at him, he was already looking at the lake.

  9. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Hah. This is beginning to sound like a bad romance novel. Suitable for a Seductress, I suppose. ^_^

And as for the abrupt bit, I have a short attention span, as you should know by this point. And Jyta's comment so totally belongs to Jessi.</td></tr></table>

Jyta quirked a corner of her mouth up in a half-smile/half-smirk at Ryth's chuckle. She had a fair idea of where his thoughts on the origin of the candy had gone. She turned her head out to the lake as well, to see what Ryth was looking at. She spotted some fix flashing in the sunlight, or at least what she thought were fish. She wasn't entirely sure.

As she continued to look at the water, she thought to herself for a moment. <span style='color:#660000'>This is turning into a bad romance novel... All I need to do is incorporate the phrase "heaving bosoms" in, and it's complete. Let's change that, shall we?</span> Jyta was not much for thinking things through. That was for lesser beings than her. So, she quite simply reached over to Ryth with her arm, focibly turned his head towards hers, and kissed him.

Once done, she released him with the comment, <span style='color:#660000'>"You had pie today, didn't you?"</span> She raised her eyebrows, waiting for a reply.

<table class=ooc><tr><td>I've always thought it funny how it says: "Out of Character personal attacks will not be tolerated on these forums.", but by saying that, it's practically incouraging IC ones. I'm not critiquing, but it's true, and it makes thing interesting around here. Also, I think we've got the tanktop(s), but so far, no swimming, and I don't know about the "oh my!". Sorry for the short post, I'm suffering from CPSS (Chronic Post Shortening Syndrone). It's a problem when your OCC box is bigger than your IC post.</td></tr></table>

Ryth grinned the biggest grin he had in a long time. "What do you think?" he said with a glint in his eye. He leaved over to Jyta and returned her kiss.

Now satisfied, he lay his head on Jyta's sholder and sighed. Pesonally, he knew that was bound to happen eventually. She was a Seductress, after all. He laughed, jogging Jyta's shoulder. "Eh-hehe. Pie."

  11. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>It was in the original plan... The swimming, anywho. Oh well. Jessi rocks.</td></tr></table>

Jyta tilted her head upwards for a moment, considering. <span style='color:#660000'>"I think you did. Have pie, that is."</span> She nodded sagely, the half-smirk back again. Jyta tilted her own head to the side, resting it on top of Ryth's, which was on top of her shoulder. At his comment about pie, she snorted in what passed for laughter from the wine-colored femme. She twitched her tail, to keep away some flies. They were beginning to annoy her. There was a convenient way to get rid of them, however...

<span style='color:#660000'>"Oy, Ryth? The flies are bugging me. What say you to a swim?"</span> She turned her head towards the lake, wondering how clean it was. She figured that if there were fish, it was probably all right, so long as they didn't drink three gallons of the water or anything. Her mind made up, regardless of whether or not Ryth was following her, she dislodged him from her shoulder and stood up. <span style='color:#660000'>Hope he didn't hit the ground too hard...</span>

She began collecting her share of the trash, stuffing it haphazardly into the basket. She didn't think that anyone would bother their things, unless they were just starving. Satisfied with the clean-up, she stretched her arms above her head, and before you could blink twice, her short-shorts and tank top were on the ground. She was wearing a swimsuit underneath, but she was still sure that it was an interesting sight for Ryth. The swimsuit in question was black, a bikini-style thing. Jyta twitched her tail and turned back towards Ryth, kicking her clothes next to the basket. <span style='color:#660000'>"You coming?"</span>

    <table class=ooc><tr><td>Yes, she does.</td></tr></table>

Ryth jumped up, and, only pausing to kick some trash into a pile and shedding his shirt, caught up with Jyta. He had worn his swimming suit as his shorts, so he was fine. He dropped his shirt on top of Jyta's clothing, and joined her at the bank.

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
    <table class=ooc><tr><td>Is it still a bank for a lake?</td></tr></table>
He tested the water with a paw. It was cold. I'm never going to get anywhere just standing here. He took a deep breath and plunged into the water.

It was cold, but Ryth woudn't have it any other way. He liked it like that.

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Dang, that last sentence sounds really wrong, expecially given the context of the thread, taken out of context.</td></tr></table>
He turned around a motioned for Jyta to join him.

<table class=ooc><tr><td>A warning, Jyta curses in this. Once, though, but I figured I should warn all the same. ^^;</td></tr></table>

Jyta grinned a followed him, letting him get into the water first. She didn't realize it was cold, and so she simply jumped in. She immediately regretted this, and came up yelling curse words in at least three languages. She tread water, blinking and still rather stunned. She blinked her rosy eyes twice before stating, simply, <span style='color:#660000'>"Damn."</span> She finally came out of the cold-induced trance, and turned her head to look at Ryth. <span style='color:#660000'>"Nice 'n toasty, eh?"</span>

She shook her head, causing water to fly from her braids, like a dog. She went back underwater, pushing off the bank and gliding seven feet or so before she surfaced to float on her back. The air, however, made her belly cold, so she resumed treading water, with only her head above.

Jyta, getting another evil idea, grinned and stealthily went back underwater with as little of a splash as she could manage, and swam so she was directly behind Ryth. She stuck her head above water, put her hands into position, and splashed (a quite large amount of) water onto his head. She giggled and ducked before he could retaliate, swimming out of range before she resurfaced.

  14. Ryth gasped at the coldness before he dived. When he came up, and wiped the water from his eyes, he saw Jyta about 15 feet away. She was grinnning. He jokingly made an obscene hand gesture, then smiled wolfishly as he dove back under the water.

Ryth was a okay swimmer, but Jyta was slighly better. She water "war" went on for about five or ten minutes, after which both of them were tired. Ryth, between his panting, made a half-hearted splash at Jyta. "I'm think I'm going to get out in a moment, m'kay? Just to dry off."

He made his way to the bank, and then sat down on the sand. It was hot, but not unpleasantly so, and he put his shirt over his head to shield his eyes from the sun. He could doze off here, if he didn't watch out. It was dangerously pleasant.

  15. Jyta laughed at the obscene hand gesture, returning it before continuing on with the war. When, at the end, Ryth was getting out, she nodded before swimming back to the edge of the water, where she could comfortably stand up. Ryth, with the shirt on his head, was a few feet away. Jyta smiled slightly at the sight, and resisted the urge to call him a ninja. She began to float on her back again, letting her muscles go slack. She was tired from the water "war", and it was a relief to just let her mind (and body) relax for a moment.

Her ears were below water, and she could here the sounds of the water against the bank, but it was muffled. She liked the noise, or lack of it. The sound was one of those weird, "it's a noise but it isn't" sort of sounds, like water has a taste but doesn't. It was calming.

Jyta could feel something, she presumed it was a fish, nibbling on the tip of her tail. It tickled more than it hurt, so she didn't do anything about it. It stopped and swam off, to go on living its happy little fishy life. <span style='color:#660000'>I wonder what it's like to be a fish. Do they see in color? I bet not... They don't blink.</span> Jyta wondered about interesting things, sometimes. Other times, like now, they were just odd. Very odd.

She was tired of floating, and so started treading water upright again. She saw she'd floated ten feet from where she had been, so she swam back. Ryth still hadn't got back in the water, so Jyta got out and returned to the picnic basket. She grabbed a soda and sat back down next to Ryth, popping the lid and taking a sip. She offered the lemon-lime sugar water to Ryth. <span style='color:#660000'>"You want a sip?"</span>

  16. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Mkay, we're going. Technically, this is just as much your post as mine.</td></tr></table>

Ryth started out of his stupor. "Bluh? Wha-? Oh. Yeah, sure. Thanks." He sat and sipped, intermittently handing the drink back to Jyta. This was a good ending to a great trip. He turned toward Jyta.

"Whatta say we call it a day?"
    <span style='color:#660000'>"Sure."</span>
    There was that smirk again.

Jyta shrugged her clothes back on while Ryth packed everything back into the basket. He handed Jyta back her picnic basket and they started walking.
