Afternoon

It had been some time since her enrollment here, and a good number of interesting situations had arisen since then. A couple of starteling encounters, embarassign moments... but all in all things had been going well. She'd even learned an extent of control over the abilities that had plagued her for so long. She still had some trouble in large crouds but even those incidents were few and far between.

Today Edapona sat on a bench, well she was upside down, her legs draped over the back of the bench, her amber scarf hung along side her face and her long shiny hair hung strait down. She had even replaced her walkdragon in the time she'd been her and was currently listening to it and eating, after playing with each one, a package of gummy rapine. She danced one along, upside down in the air and then bit it's head off first chuckeling a little she shook her head and finished it reaching in the bag that rested on the ground for another.

Yes, it seemed a little childish, and she knew it, but it was one of the things she did once in a while to let loose. Devouring some sort of sugary goodie, rapine gummies were her favorite, except for the green ones which she always saved for last. Her mindset was everyone needs to be a little kid again once in a while. Most often she received a good natured laugh and a shake of the head before the subject was changed. Everyone who knew her knew they weren't likely to change her mind... and even a few agreed with her. Never the less she was letting loose right now having a little fun and spiking her blood sugar.

A band of small creatures had gathered under the bench just out of the sight of this Knell. They seemed to be conversing, or at least twitching back and forth. Making a ladder, one was atop of the bench. And without notice or hesitation it was in the bag of gummi's. Taking one at time dropping them underneath the bench to the others. Dodging the hand moving in and out.

The bag being almost empty the little mech creature stared intently first at the Knell, then just out into empty space across the campus. With that the creature dived off the bench and scurried across campus up a tree and began foraging through the branches. The rest of the group still under the bench deciding what to do with the gummies taken.

Hey there! Thank you for rescuing me from my boredome!

    IC
She was still happily playing with her candy until she reached into the bag and found it to be far emptier than she remembered. Wondering where they had all gone she looked about in her upsidedown position. She turned slightly and slid off the back of the bench to rest fully on the seat looking at the ground and all around finally noticing a little pile of gummies beneath the bench and the apparent culprits.

She blinked and cocked her head to one side, "What the duce?!" she exclaimed and lowered her head closer to watch them as her finger curled around the edge of the bench to further stabalize her position,"Now what could you possibly be? And where do you think you are going to take those?" She said in an ammused little tone which would sound to most as a soft mumble or as if she were talking to herself.

  4. With the realization of their presence they were off like cockroaches to light. They ran away, a couple coming back only for the gummis. They ran towards a strange man sitting next to a tree, he seemed to be looking for something inparticular. He stood and started to walk the other direction, not seeming to notice that the squirrels had done anything but sat around.

As he walked away, they seemed to hide behind him as he walked. He looked at the ground, the sky, the buildings, just seemingly searching for something. He stopped and picked up a pebble, he pocketed it.. in what pockets no one knows.. and kept walking. Odd and a bit twitchy something shiny apparently caught his eye. The squirrels looked to see what it was, hinting only slightly at an interior knowledge of some sort.

He bent down and zoomed in with his strange green eye...

Hehe, no problem. I've been looking to get my charries some threads. :)

  5. Eda watched as they took off and she went after them until the strange dragon stood and began to walk away. She paused a moment and took in his appearance taking special time to notice that green glowing eye. Odd... and even a little scary but she approached, "Interesting little things you have here, did you build them?" while she spoke she let down some of the barriers she had learned to build to keep her empathy from running rampant. She was very curious about this dragon, even if he only partially appeared as such.

  6. 'Geussy jumped a bit and crouched prone when she spoke, he hadn't realized she was there at all. "Well, Hello there." He said with a slight twitch, as he looked her over and lost interest quite quickly. He seemed preoccupied with what he had seen and kept looking back to signal as such. "Yea, I built them. They're... uh... Squirrels. Nothing more to them really..."

Standing again, he started to walk off again. The squirrels running off to do their own thing. As quirky as he seemed he also came off like he knew what he was doing. He strolled up to the armbar on the stairs, looking at it. The glossy paint on it proved to enchant pretty well. He peeled some of the paint, and flicked his finger so it lit the paint slightly. As it poofed before him, he seemed to brighten up. Letting out a slight whistle his little minions were at his side, he handed them nail clippers and they went to work on the bar....

Sorry I haven't replied for a couple of days. I'm home on leave and got buisy all of a sudden. But never fear I'm still here! :D

    IC
Eda chuckled softly as she watched the lot of 'squirrels' run about. He appeared to have a short attention span either that or he was on a mission of sorts. She followed him just the same and quirked a brow when he seemed enthralled by the armbar. "At least it isn't all rusty... you look like you've seen better days yourself and your squirrels too... I haven't seen you around here before. I'm Eda."

  8. Geussy twitched, jumped and turned around shifting his attention to Eda. "Notta suprise. I've ne'er been here 'for." His green eye moved up and down the dragon that now stood before him. "The bar.. The bar is fo' my... Trade. You could say. Of course it's not rusty. You can't work with an oxidized piece of metal..." His eyes widened, and his face twitched as he said, "Better days.. Better in how? Are you calling me rusty as well? I bet you have an odd fascination with oxidation don't you?" He now took out a scalpel suddenly. He glanced over at the squirrels, crouched down and began to clean his nails with the scalpel. Waiting for the spoils to reap in, he looked up at the dragon again, "You, d-d'yu happen to have a name?" He said with another twitch...

    Out of Character

Eh, It's fine. ^_^ Just trying to keep myself busy.

  9. Eda jumped a bit when he turned toward her with his twitch. To her it seemed that perhaps some of his electronic portions were in need of repair. He spoke of his trade and oxidation of metals. She knew basic information about that sort of thing, she didn't quite take to that stuff when she was back home but she knew what he was saying to be true on some level, "Fascination with oxidation? No... I'm more interested in the mind. I'm an empath." She looked over him agian, "It's just not common to see rusted metals in use unless the machine is unused or broken. You might consider polishing your gears a bit once in a while." She gave a plesant smile and nodded, "Yes, I am Edapona. But people usually call me Eda. What do I call you?"

  10. He looked down, at his parts. And looked up again. "What d'yu mean? All my parts are in f-fine condition. They just don't look... Pleasant enough for most others." He kind of gave a slight glance away for a moment, But with her smile he nodded and proceded to talk. "An ema-pth...? What might that be?" He said curiously as he stood and put away his scalpel.

"Well Mademoiselle, You may call me Geussy." With a scratch on his head and a slight smile of sorts, his face dimmed with a thought of something else, and brightened again as his squirrels carried to him the bar he had wanted. Now getting a better look at it, spinning it and twirling it, he bent it a bit. And nodded as if it had been what he was looking for. He crouched again, and pulled out a small, container... of sorts. He was busily chipping away the paint into the container and putting his finger into it to crush it into a fine dust. As he did this, the marks where the squirrels had cut it didn't seem apparent. If you had found it lying on the road somewhere you'd of never thought it had come from some school. The precision was very near perfect. But Geussy still chipped away like it was an everyday kind of thing.

  11. Eda smiled a bit at the name having been also distracted by the squirrels returning with the bar. Looking up again she nodded, "Well Geussy an empath can sense emotion basicly. Not read minds or anything like that but simply the emotions that the thoughts and events evoke. Does that make any sence to you?" She looked over his mechanical bits again, "You know I'm not very good with mechanical stuff but I can do a mean spit shine." she said mainly in jest hopeing he caught the humor.

  12. "Emotion, right." He mumbled slightly, paying attention but at the same moment not. He wrapped the metal and the vial into a pouch of sorts, and sat it on the ground. He looked up as she mentioned the spit shine. "First you say I'm rusty, then you'd like to spit on me? That's quite pompous..." He chuckled a bit having some humor of his own.

"A spit shine don't sound too bad, Though I doubt you were serious." He smiled at her and changed the subject without a response, "So, What exactly d'yu study here?"

  13. She gave a soft chuckle when he gave his retort to her comment, "I'd be more than happy to put a bit of polish on a few of those gears of yours. They could probably use one. Besides you never know, you might like the company of someone a little more intelligent than a squirrel." She smiled widely her teeth shone a little brighter than the shiny coating on her light blue fur. "As for what I study, lets see I study what I'm good at, empathy and elemental summoning, and a few other little things that I'm interested in. Just silly stuff really."

  14. "Hmm, It does sound nice. An' I s'pose these old things could use a shine o' sorts." He smiled a bit, still fiddling with the bar n' such. "They can be quite the conversationalists if they put their minds to it... or what minds they have. They're quite the little mimes." He gave bit of a snicker as well in response to hers.

He stood, pouch in hand. "Well if you're good at it, and it interests you it can't be all that silly. I mean really, if it's that interesting to catch someone's attention it's not just dull. Now is it?" He made a slight motion with his hand, and as if trained the squirrels formed a question mark to the right of Geussy. They stood on hind legs, and the question mark was along the ground. He just nodded.

  15. She smiled at the squirrels and their synchronized formations, "They're cute... but I suppose you are right. Perhaps it's just that I feel silly having to be taught how to use the abilities I was born with." she motioned to Geussy to follow as she took a few steps away and slid to a sitting position on the ground leaning her back against something sturdy, "Sit here, and hand me the bits you need shined, who knows you might run a bit better with all the 'oxidation scrubbed off'." she said the last bit using her best impression of him as she gave a search though her bag and for whatever reason she indeed had a couple different substances in jars in there with different grains. Since she was an empath it could be considered quite strange for her to carry around metal refinishers in her bag.

  16. "Well o' course you have to learn things about everything. You took a Ramathian class in school before this didn't you? Learning how ta speak well is learned, so is walking earlier than not." He mentioned, not even acknoledging the mention of the cute squirrels.

He snickered with her impression of him. Doing an impression of her doing an impression of him, he said, "I knew you were oxidation obessed. But if you.. 'wish'." Sounding more like a stuck up rich man rather than himself he laughed a bit. "It's just not that easy to take off these parts though. So I'll just sit like this..." He sat down and stretched out the parts that needed some shine. "Well, thanks in advance for doing this." He said genuinely politely with a smile.

  17. She nodded and set the small jars aside looking for a rag. Upon finding no rag she gave a shrug and used her scarf, pulling a small portion around her finger and rubbing a little of the substance on it and began to work on one of the rustier parts, "OH you are welcome. I don't mind really. It's nice to have someone to talk to, you know?"

After finishing one long part which looked like a structural piece she started on another upon his arm, "So do you just run about taking bits of metal to make more squirrels or perhaps something larger?" She continued trying to make some small talk but couldn't help but wonder how long Geussy had been without any decent company.

  18. At first he liked the idea of his parts be shiny again. He admired the job she did on the first piece. Feeling on it with his fingertips, he grinned acknowledging that he liked it so far. "O'course. It's good ta talk to people sometimes." He said with a slightly fake smile.

"I have larger projects, But they're turning out to require lots of time, and materials. Regular enchanting doesn't seem to be working much, so I'm gonna have to try more drastic things later on, But that's none of your concern." He said with a smile that'd send a chill through someone's bones, "Not to be rude of course."

Now the farther into the machina her scarf went the quieter Guessy became. His eyes would rive every now and again, but he tried to keep a smile on every time she looked up. Without realizing it, she was buffing the nerves that had also been intertwined with the machinery. It was a very painful process, almost as painful as the corrosive that was now on his nerves. But he enjoyed the company, so he stuck it out, risking numbness.. even paralysis just for company of another being. At least for a little while...

  19. Eda smiled and stopped finally her scarf now thuroughly soiled, "And there we are... I'm sorry if I hurt you badly." she smiled a bit sheepishly, "But you have to admit it's a rather nice change... next time I'll be more careful, I promise. Oh, and something I didn't tell you this polish has an agent that make the metals more resistant to oxidation." she smiled widely being quite proud that she was able to do something a little extra, "Perhaps you could come around once in a while and I'll polish more and more... pretty soon all your mechanical bits will gleam like my fur," she motioned to her coat which as one of the shiny khell made her shimmer in the light.

  20. Geussy smiled a bit, "Hurt? Hehe, What do you mean?" He laughed slightly, not wanting her to feel guilty at all. He chuckled again with the mention of oxidation, "Well thank you, But you're getting creepy with all that. But you like what you like eh?" He smiled yet again, "Yes, that'd be nice. But I don't think this metal would ever compare to fur such as that. Nothing 'dragon-made could..." With a slight sigh at being mostly artificial anymore, he painted another smile on and enjoyed the company whilst he could.
