    Day: 43
    Year: 81377 (3)
time: um.... 2 in teh afternoon.

Incendi sat back in the shadows in a small out of the way nook of the courtyard where she could watch the students going about their lives.  Once a pendragon reached maturity they stopped aging... so what was it that made Incendi appear so old?  She continued to watch the youngsters, a few of them talking to friends, a couple trying to remain undetected as they pulled pranks, and a few playing games with their peers.

Incendi narrowed her eyes and furrowed her brow in concentration.  What made them so different?  Sure they were childish, but was that the only distinguishing factor?  How mature you apeared?  It couldn't be, at least Incendi didn't think so.  Miska peeked out from his hiding place in the midst of the deep blade hair and ruff that surrounded her neck to join in her watching.</font>

Mist walked quietly thought the busy courtyard. Trying to stay out of the way of any others who were in her way. She found it warm outside, too warm for her to take so she muttered a quite air-cooling spell around herself.
She was looking for Eka, her little sister but was in no hurry. She had her white feathery wings tight to her side so they didn’t hit anyone and her deep blue eyes were kept on the facing the ground. She often avoided eye contact. She was kinda shy around other and didn’t like big crowds. For it all still felt new compared to her old life in Dhruv.
She kept walking but stopped. Not that she had seen any thing but her senses told her there was a ‘dragon in front of her. She looked up kinda surprised for she had never run in to some one on the side of the courtyard before.
She could tell that this ‘dragon was older and probably not a student.
    <span style='color:3399FF'>“Er….Hello"</span>
She said not wanting to be rude.
<span style='color:3399FF'>“Sorry for almost running into you there"</span>
She could sense some power in this ‘dragon and didn’t want to make her mad.

Ooc: Hello, just want to point out that you need to time Timestamp.</font>

  3. <font color='#FFFFFF'>ooc: mur, fixed... i think. bleh

ic: Incendi was so busy studying the youngsters that she almost didn't notice Mist coming towards her.  Almost.  Her sences quicly told her of the youngster's aproach and she looked up to see her blindly coming towards her.  She braced herself for a colision.  When none came she let out a small breath.  She gave the youngster a nod in reply to the hello and gave a small shrug.

"No problem.  You should watch where youre going though."

Her light blue pelt shimmered in the sun as she returned her gaze to the rest of teh courtyard.

"So what is it that distinguishes youth?"</font>

  4. <font color='#728FCE'>OOC: Yes fixed very well [IMG]

Mist already knew she had to keep he head up for she had run into others before. Some werenÂ’t so nice about it though. She was about to turn and continue on her way the other fem Â’dragon continued to talk. She wasnÂ’t sure if she was really talking to her or just pondering the question.
Mist thought about the question for a second, but wasn’t sure why this ‘dragon wanted to know.
    <span style='color:3399FF'>“I think it’s there life style."</span>
She still wasn’t sure if the question was for her but she liked to answers question even if she didn’t always have the right answer.
<span style='color:3399FF'>“That and there minds. There are still young and have so much to learn compared to a full grown pendragon. Some care more about having fun then the job they are suppose to do."</span>
Mist being a more mature ‘dragon then some others didn’t spend much time having fun but more time just leaning and practicing. She looked back up at the fem ‘dragon.
    <span style='color:3399FF'>“Well that’s what I think any way."</span>
Mist had an opinion for most things but was never wanting to have to make another ‘dragon think the way she did.</font>

  5. <font color='#FFFFFF'>ic: Incendi nods as she glances around at the others.  She tilted her head a bit, musing to herself.

"The little ones at my home never acted quite like this.  They couldn't.  Sure there were games but they were really just fun lessons and practice.  At least fun compared to slogging through ice storms."

She shrugged, and glanced over at Mist..

"You seem bright enough.  Any suggestions or ideas on how i could apear younger to others?"</font>

  6. <font color='#728FCE'>Mist nodded and took a seat beside the older fem ‘dragon.
<span style='color:3399FF'>“Yes, that is what it was like when I was still at home. The younger ones were always looking for ways to play in the snow."</span>
Mist started to think about what the other had said about “ slogging through ice storms". If thatÂ’s what she used to do then she must have once lived in one of the colder regions of Dhruv or Trilok. She decided she would ask later.
She set her mind to thinking of the new question. Even though Mist was never really one to blend in.
<span style='color:3399FF'>“Well I guess that if you could just join in whatever that there up to. I guess you would have to act a little crazy. And learn by watching them I guess."</span>
Mist was now starting to wonder why she would want to appear younger. But then again some ‘dragon when there older go to all different lengths to look young again. But this fem ‘dragon didnÂ’t look to old to Mist.</font>

  7. <font color='#FFFFFF'>Incendi nodded as she took advice from the young one.  Normally she wouldn't bother asking advice from nioties but when studying them, it seemed best to consult one.  She tilted her head, being a little crazy might just get her killed in her line of work, then again it could also make her less predictable.  interaction would probably be best.  she studied Mist.  smart, polite, intelligent... at least so far.  A thought popped into her head, a truly insane one.  SHe went with it.

"What do you think about the Graders?"</font>

  8. <font color='#728FCE'>Mist looked back at the elder ‘dragon and started to think of why she wanted to know this. Mist wasn’t one to share her feelings to openly. She decided to many not give the whole truth on this question.
<span style='color:3399FF'>“Well where we come from there isn’t much talk of them except for in between the elders. I didn’t start here things till I came here. There are rumors about the things they do. I don’t think that I would put my life in there paws. I don’t know if I care for there ways."</span>
When she finish she realized that it was pretty much all she knew.
    <span style='color:3399FF'>“Why do you want to know?"</span>
She didnÂ’t know how this elder would react but she decided she was safe enough with the question.</font>

  9. <font color='#FFFFFF'>Incendi kept herself from rubbing her paws together in glee.  Yes, her idea was a crazy one, recruiting young students to her ways. But young people act crazy, so she would go with her insane idea.  But could the young one be trusted.  Even if she couldn't Incendi doubted anyone would believe her if she decided to reveal what Incendi said.

"I have a small... vendetta against the Graders, i do not like them" she emphasized the not her voice filling with disgust as she said their names, "they abuse their power and then garentee that no one will be able to take it from them.  it would be good to know if a bright young mind such as yourself would like to be on my side.  I trust you'll keep this in confidence."

Incendi added the last as a small safety measure.  Though of course if the little one decided to tell and things looked like they might get out of hand, pendragons might have to die.  it was a risk Incendi was willing to take.</font>

  10. <font color='#728FCE'>Mist nodded under standing this fem ‘dragon. But had her head now turned to watch the other students walking thought the Courtyard.
<span style='color:3399FF'>“These days there are those who talk, it some times sounds like there might be a rebellion of some sort. And if this where to happen I don’t think I would choose a side. Not until a have a reason, or if some thing where done to those I know and care about."</span>

Mist continued nodded when she mentioned confidence. She knew that most dragons like that wouldn’t want their names to be let out.
<span style='color:3399FF'>“No, I don’t think that I would be telling any one. Even if it did come up in a conversation and wouldn’t be able to give them your name. Unless that how you want to keep it?"</span>

Mist wouldn’t mind if this fem ‘dragon wanted to keep her name to herself. She just thought that in case any thing did happen that she would know where to find her. If she chose a side.</font>

  11. <font color='#FFFFFF'>Incendi nodded, listening to the reasoning of Mist.  It was sound, with the experience, youth and knowledge that the youngster contained it was very sound.  Incendi nodded again.

"You know they kill everyone who starts to get too old.  An my name is Incendi Thurin little one.  Just incanse you ever need to find me."

Of course t was a bit more than coincidence that she had said the last part, Incendi was old enough to read minds with ease, though she usually tried not too lest it become too crowded and confusing.  But sometimes she still picked up on the thoughts of those near her.</font>

  12. <font color='#728FCE'>Mist knew at Incendi’s last comment that this fem ‘dragon could read her mind. She preferred to keep her feeling to herself. But didn’t mind if a few things slipped out. At the moment she was looking for a spell strong enough to keep other out of her mind completely but was having no luck.

She herself could also read mind but it took awhile and she had to stare into the others eyes.
<span style='color:3399ff'>“Since you give you name so openly I will also give you mine. You can call me Mist Sterlu"</span>

It was now that Mist remembered what she had wanted to ask Incendi.
<span style='color:3399ff'>“Before you said some thing about “slogging through ice storms". I was just wondering where you grew up."</span>

Mist didn’t mind if Incendi didn’t answered if she didn’t want to. She just had not met someone who was from up North where her and her family live.</font>

  13. <font color='#FFFFFF'>Incendi could feel the other trying to close her mind but Incendi just couldn't help it if she picked up a few stray thoughts.  She wasn't purposefully invading the youngster's mind.  But she wasn't going to apologize for it either.

"Nice to meet you Mist.  As for my home, i grew up in Druhv untill the ice storms and famine hit.  then i left with my father."

She doubted that Mist would know about the ice storms that ravaged Druhv so long ago, it had been a bad time, and many had died.  But it probably wasn't even in the records there, anyone who would have cared would probably have died out.  But still there was always the possibility that she had just given away her age and Incendi mentally kicked herself for th slip.</font>

  14. <font color='#728FCE'>Nodded, so this fem ‘dragon was from Dhruv as well. She did not know of ice storms or famine that was enough to force some one away, but then again the normal weather there would push many away. But she could always asked the record holders there, but she would probably forget by the time she went back.

Mist was starting to think of why Incendi was here. Teach, explore, learn.
<span style='color:3399FF'>“So you can’t just be here to look for followers, are you? Are you here to teach or some thing?"</span>

Mist thought that it would be intersecting to see this fem ‘dragon teach a class. Even thought Mist didn’t know her Trades.</font>

  15. <font color='#FFFFFF'>Incendi continued to study the youngsters, to her they just seemed so stupid sometimes.  Why in the world would one have a contest to see who can slam their head into the wall the hardest?  She glanced at Mist.

"I don't teach here, or anywhere for that matter; i'm an... elemental sorceress by trade.  I just was wondering why so many 'dragons see me as old.  I look the same as when i was 23 00 or so so how could they tell?  I came here to study the behavior of the young."

Incendi elected to leave out her primary trade, that of an assassin.  no one needed to know unless they were seeking her skills, and Mist would hardly have use for them.</font>

  16. <font color='#728FCE'>Mist took another look at Incendi. Yes, she was right she didnÂ’t look that old. It was just the way she acted and moved around or more the way she sat right now. Just still, most youngsters would be moving around and playing.
She shook her head disapprovingly at the youngsters who were hitting their head into the wall. She then nodded at what Incendi. Then let out a small laugh.
<span style='color:3399FF'>"Well if youÂ’re here to study them I think you might find it quit difficult. They are all so different. IÂ’ve even found some I donÂ’t mind being around.
So you are a elemental sorceress. That’s what I’m taking here."
    </span>
Mist didnÂ’t see why a dragon would want to make themselves seem younger, sure some used weird plants and stuff put that was only when they started to get really old. She prefers the more mature look. She found you could some times get more respect.</font>

  17. <font color='#FFFFFF'>Incendi nodded apreciatively.

"I don't think i'll find out much then.  Though i geuss running around and doing stupid things may suffice.  So youre studying to be an elemental sorceress eh?  Have any particular element you favor?"

Incendi herself, as a master could manipulate more than one element if not all but she preferred fire, using it almost exclusively.  SHe figured that as long as she had trhe others at her disposal she could use them in a pinch to surprise any foes she might encounter.</font>

  18. <font color='#728FCE'>Mist nodded. Thinking back to when she first started to practice magic.
<span style='color:3399ff'>Well, yes. I prefer ice, snow and wind. It was the elements that I grew up around. I have been going thought the library and finding all the books I can find about fire and water. Water wonÂ’t be too bad but fire is partially the opposite of ice. But I also want to try some weather magic but I would have to go some where they wouldnÂ’t notice.</span>

Mist realised that she was babbling on and on which was some thing she didnÂ’t do too often. There was some thing about magic that made her more attentive.
<span style='color:3399ff'>“What about you. What element is your favourite?"</span></font>

  19. <font color='#FFFFFF'>Incendi glanced over at Mist, listening to her talk about her magical preferences.  Weather was nice but Incendi personally found it required too much concentration and was too unpredictable.  For answer to the last question Incendi smiled and willed the small harmless flames to ignite and dance across her fur.

"I've always liked fire.  Back home if you could control fire you could control life."</font>

  20. <font color='#000080'>Mist watch in amazement at the display of fire
<span style='color:3399ff'>“Yes, that would make sense. We didn’t have many uses for fire and found ways to live without it."</span>

But just to show that she could do what she said Mist started to make ice appear under her front paws. The ground started to freeze. It  may not have been as impressive as IncendiÂ’s show of flames but she was still learning.</font>
