Quarter: Tessera (Autumn) Day: 38 Year: 81377 (3) She caught glimpses of the stars through the tightly woven boughs of the oak and ash forest she wondered. Her heart lept at the sight of them. the sky had been full of seemingly endless clouds for the past three nights. She headed twards her favorite clearing so she could look upon them more compleatly. The wind was gentle and kind this night, only rusling the leaves in small gustes. Kalasta sighed aloud as she came upon the clearing. Her pace quickened, not wanting to miss her favorite constilations. As she bounded into the tall grass of the clearing the wind brought a slight rustling to her perked ears. it was not that of normal life to be found in this forest. al most like the rasping of an aged beast ready to die, but different somehow. Her heart seemed to jump in her chest, not knowing what to expect, she croched low in the grass and waited. ()()( - Remember to Timestamp. - Kakos
Weaving in and out of the shadows came a figure. He followed the female with greatest ease as he easlily picked his way o'er fallen branches and brush. Blood tipped charcoal bangs fluttered infront of his cold and heartless cerulean orbs. Black body blended into the growing darkness and the orange flame at the end of his long wolf-like tail glowed softly. He found a sutable spot amidst the brush near the female and he reclined upon his stong hindquarters. The moon shimmered 'pon his sillouette and shown him to be quite young although scars lined the length of his body. The hindered a darker time within the confindes of his past. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he gazed up at the stars as well as if hoping that they would take the heavy burden off of his shoulders...
Pinale gasped as he fell into the deep dark pit while stalking a shadow through the trees. The hole had been an unseen obstacle, as he would have liked to imagine it, camouflaged with brush and twig. He tried to stand but his legs failed underneath him, collapsing upon the upturned soil. He grunted in pain, gritting his teeth so to not make a sound. Not that it mattered anyway... they were not in enemy territory. How could he have forgotten the number one rule in war? Never look before you leap, or was it never jump if you don't know if you can leap...something like that. But he should have done so, why had it been him that was always eager to rush into battle, although, he had not been rushing as he would have liked, but fleeing like a coward. The knife wound seemed to cut deeper, twisting into his heart and everything he believed in. Pinale looked up into the night sky, stars twinkling with friendly welcome. He groaned, his leg was beginning to be quite a discomfort, it was surely broken and his back was killing him slowly. But he neither said nor did nothing, his warriors pride allowing him nothing, especially admitting to himself that he would die or that he was even in pain. The pits walls were only five meters wide by eight meters in depth, and he could have escaped with little difficulty, if he wasn’t so dazed with pain. The night air was cool along his back, the smell of rich soil filling his nostrils, calming him as he acknowledged his grave peacefully, as it should somehow be so. the probability of some miracle to occur could give him his life back, seemed, a miracle. Perhaps Gavin was still out there looking for him, and then he must know…of what he carried, for there was no way to save himself from his fate. He closed his eyes concentrating, finding the energy to do what he must do. He howled, piercing the silence around him, hoping the sound would reach Gavin, and only Gavin, within a few days, or all was lost.
She stood, letting the wind rusle her fur gently. The rustling of fallen leaves made her certian that someone was in the forest behind her. Who is there? She asked, her words fell falt in the night air. Sudenly a loud crash was brought to her ears. Her head turned to view the area the sound seemed to eminate from. She bounded over to the forests' edge and not looking where she was going and fell sudenly into a huge pit on top of some other 'dragon.
"Uhhh, thes!" not knowing which one of them had grunted in exruating pain Pinale turned on his side quickly before he killed himself to stop the pain. he squinted throught the darkness seeing a figure just beyond him, looking on the figure as if a death omen. he stared for a moment longer breathing heavily, "who are you" please, darkness help him! he saw that the thing in front of him was a female, and a young frightened looking one at that! he grunted in pain again, "are you hurt in any way?" his mind was fuzzy and a strong weakness was invading his broken limb as he spoke, was it wettness, that he felt? he was bleeding freely, "thes!" he spoke again or for the first time he couldn't tell, his mind was going blank the world receding. he looked down upon the ground, the wound was large and flowing, "help me!" he muttered weakly, falling into the dirt.
Kalasta stood and limped over to the fallen form who had spoken. Her heart was racing from the unexpected fall. "I'm fine" Her eyes ran over his form serching for any real wounds. His leg was bleeding. The look of worry in her eyes grew. She knew if they didn't get help soon he would die. The sticky liquid shone in the light of the gentle moon. Her leg was stiff still from the fall but she knew no bones had been broken. She walked over to the wall of the hole and tried fruitlessly to jump out to get help for this 'dragon. "Help!" She screamed her voice week but loud enough... she hoped. Who ever she had heard before had to still be close.
