  1. OoC - Â… yes, IÂ’m aware of the disgusting length of this post. :P The reason for it is that I really want all four of my characters to finally meet, and I could only really do that quickly in one post.
Only one person to reply to this (unless it’s multiple people travelling together), please, as this is a desert. :P For those who get lost, the end of this post sees all four of my characters in the ‘courtyard’ of a ruined temple in the middle of a desert, at night, talking around a large campfire beside their wagon.

IC - Do you like travelling on your own, Dark? - No. They didn’t need embarrassingly obvious words to tell one another that, yes, I would like to go travelling with you, and, yes, I would like to go travelling with you too. Perhaps, as Dark’s single word had shown, wandering was a lonely business and whether it had been part of life for a very long time – like Ludwig Dark – or very short – like Leuka Spry – it would remain that way until each found what they were looking for. A travelling companion.

Leuka and Dark had been travelling for only seven days since Magi Lake, and their fashion was thus. They had purchased a handsome, spanking-new wagon with silvery hubcaps and a multitude of storage space. They took turns to steer the young pair of horse-like creatures who seemed to know where they were going anyway. Leuka called them Fire Farthing and Eco Farthing, and the heavy-hoofed pair seemed quite intent on understanding what their young owners were saying.

Ramathian portals meant absolutely nothing in relation to where they were going. The young alchemists had many unknown missions of alchemy that floated ahead of them in a stupendously open-minded realm, but the quest of the moment was that of the Keys. Leuka’s blue key had once apparently ‘teleported’ her to Aurius when it made its appearance, for no apparent reason. It matched Dark’s gray key which he had possessed his entire life. Both keys were startlingly… special. It was in their own delicate ignorance that the two apprentices set forth for the only place they believed old and undiscovered things like these were allowed to live freely – ruins.

    ***
Halicarnassus picked up the little object gently from under its slender arms, prizing it from the sandstone hole in which it had lain curled, as if asleep. The object squeaked and stared up at Hal with its large, doleful eyes which glowed strangely with all the invisible colors of alchemy. Hal took the little creature silently in his sinewy arms, and walked from the ruined temple; out of the arched door and into the hot, harsh desert sun.

These ruins were surprisingly intact – and quite huge. They were made entirely of the sandiest of sandstone, which matched the color of the very regal-but-rugged looking master alchemist – Halicarnassus who sat down in the courtyard with his back to a dried-out well. He crossed his legs and balanced the exceedingly young-looking object upon his knee. It was actually a feydragon; of the deepest emerald color, and with an eerily beautiful look to its – his – ever-so-innocent features. Still wordlessly, Hal produced a waterskin from his patched and stitched haversack, and offered it to the little feydragon. The feydragon stared at Hal, then drank the water greedily.

Hal let the little one sit upon the thick white sand and guzzle water with his eyes closed as if he were dying of thirst. The elder alchemist watched the feydragon thoughtfully, stroking his own chin with his slender, expert fingers, a small frown upon his face.

Halicarnassus was still gazing at the tiny feydragon who was still drinking water, when he was jolted from his pondering stupor by the trundling of cartwheels. He did not look up as the tall young pendragons sprang from their seats on the cart; nor when an excitable female voice called out. But when she squealed with delight at the sight of the tiny little feydragon, Hal looked up and faced them both.

Both young pendragons were dressed slackly and looking healthy and athletic for creatures wandering around in the desert. The youngest of the pair – perhaps still a teenager – was down on her knees already, stroking and cuddling and playing with the little feydragon who stared at her reproachfully. The male, on the other hand, who was fine-boned, dark-eyed and entirely grayscale, was looking at Hal, his eyes slightly narrowed. Hal looked back, smiling faintly. <font color = #808080>"Halicarnassus."</font> The dark male said in a soft voice. The young female looked up from the little feydragon who had just seemed to warm to her. He tugged at her hand affectionately, but the pendragon was gazing at Hal, wide eyed.

<font color = #AE882C>"I’m flattered that people still know my name; especially those as young as you."</font> Hal said in a shrewd but friendly tone that didn’t seemed to suit his body entirely. It was Leuka who spoke next. <font color = #2E8AF1>"Of course we’ve heard of you, sir! You’re Halicarnassus, the famous alchemist! You’ve been gone for, like… decades! Wow! I’m Leuka Spry; this is my friend Ludwig Dark. We’re alchemists too. Well, like, kind of, w – "</font> And so she went on. Eventually, Halicarnassus got a word in edgeways, though Dark remained silent (registering the golden key around Hal’s neck in an equally silent fashion).

This was, of course, until well into the cold desert night. The young pendragons had wrapped cloaks around them (Hal seemed immune), and the three of them were around a blazing campfire in the ruined temple square. Leuka had, of course, inquired about the little feydragon who she had developed a mutual fondness for, and who now lay asleep in her lap, curled into a tiny ball, his silky green hair flopped over his peaceful face. <font color = #AE882C>"- So I discovered Tyojka in yonder temple, asleep as if hibernating. I feel as though I have been looking for something like this for a long time."</font> There was a silence – both Leuka and Dark wanted Hal to go on talking forever; they didn’t want to miss a word. But then - . <font color = #2E8AF1>"Tyojka?"</font> Leuka said blankly. <font color = #AE882C>"It shall be his name."</font> <font color = "#808080">"It means source."</font> Said Dark quietly. Hal nodded and smiled slightly at the young alchemist who sat slightly further back from them all against the wagon, his legs stretched out and crossed before him; arms folded secretively. Leuka stroked the head of sleeping Tyojka. Source.

  2. He scrambled up some rubble on the outside of the wall, climbing onto it carefully. He didn't stand up, but stayed low, his eyes examining each of the 'dragons carefully. some of them seemed... familier.
He had followed the wagon tracks on foot for some time, and even having been born in the desert, he needed food and water.

He slunk along the wall, being the shadow in the night. The anubi was quite used to stealth in ruins and the desert. he was an expert. He crawled over to a guard tower attached to the inner edge of the wall.
now, just to creep down, nice and quiet, and...
He stepped into the low arched door, let out a high-pitched yelp sound and fell with a heavy thud onto the sand at ground level, a huge billow of it blowing out of the lower door.
He groaned loudly, the ache in his chest and nose was terrible. He rolled himself over, not having the willpower to get up. His eyes flashed gold in the reflection of the firelight. He groaned and tried to stand, managing to fall onto his back. He growled, struggling to get up again. He took his right hand and put it flat palmed onto the ground, his black glove browning with the dust. He pushed himself up to a sitting position, and continued to struggle to stand up, but his broken leg would not allow it.
He fell forward, out of the tower door, trying again to stand up. he fell flat onto his face, just within the firelight, his blue bangs hiding his eyes. he was unconsious.
The blood from his leg began to pool up, shining in the light of the fire.

  3. What's the character you're using?

  4. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class='ooc'><tr><td>'Nam. he is the only anubi I play. I mention the gloves. I mention the color of his bangs as well.
Guess i need to be clearer from now on. O.o</td></tr></table>

  5. No you don't. You need to mention his name. :P I don't know how I'm supposed to know the color of his bangs and gloves, not to mention the fact that he's the only Anubi you RP.

Anyway, I'll reply to this asap.

  6. As Leuka talked away happily, stroking the sleeping Tyojka in her lap, the sharp senses of Halicarnassus prickled, and he turned to watch the young newcomer even before he started flopping and blundering about, and bumping into things. Dark would have undoubtedly been able to spot him too, but he was too busy watching Leuka who was too wrapped up in the conversation to notice. But as Halicarnassus got to his feet and approached the injured creature, Leuka fell silent, turned, then jumped up with a yell of surprise. Tyojka fell from her lap with a startled whimper.

<font color = #2E8AF1>"Nam! Nam."</font> She dashed over to his side, and gripped his shoulders. Hal was on one knee beside him, and was already silently dabbing away at his headwound with a soaked cloth. Dark was positively growling, arms crossed as he remained seated by the fire as if he didn’t give a damn about the stranger’s wellbeing. And he didn’t – the stupid idiot had flirted with Leuka during their last meeting, long ago. And Leuka had flirted right back.

<font color = #AE882C>"DonÂ’t worry."</font> Hal said soothingly along at Leuka, smiling despite himself. For the young pendragon seemed exceedingly worried. She was stroking the side of NamÂ’s face with a slightly trembling paw. <font color = #AE882C>"HeÂ’ll be fine."</font>

  7. He mumbled softly, popping his left eye open to see who was touching his face.
<span style='color:gray'>looks like I've died, and gone to heaven... 'cause I see an angel.</span> He said, smiling slightly.
<span style='color:gray'>what are the chances that my trip home would bring me into the picture again, huh?</span> he said, an ear twitching a bit.
    He pushed hal's hand away.
<span style='color:gray'>I'm fine. I've gone through worse.</span> he said grouchily.
He took leuka's hand, and kissed the back of it lightly.
<span style='color:gray'>things just keep looking up...</span> He said, folding his arms behind his head and crossing one leg over the other, the gash bleedding quite a bit now.
    He looked at it oddly.
<span style='color:gray'>well would ya' look at that! no wonder I couldn't stand up!</span> He said, laughing lightheartedly. He relaxed and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath of the icy night air.
<span style='color:gray'>oh... does this mean you'll be taking care of me, leuka?</span> he said, smiling.
The words passed through his mind again: Things keep looking up.
<span style='color:gray'>and indeed, they do... things keep looking up.</span> he said, smiling at leuka, opening one eye again.
<span style='color:gray'>this may be an odd question to ask, leuka, but... where did you get those beautiful eyes?</span> he said, and even though his intentions were innocent, he knew she would avoid the question, and dark would hate him for asking it.
He closed his eyes, obviously relaxing.

  8. DarkÂ’s muscles twitched, and he crossed them more firmly across his chest. His teeth were bared, and his black eyes glinted with envy, but he remained seated in the shadows. Leuka ignored him, but Hal saw him there, and thought him best left alone.

Leuka smiled sweetly in a rather shameless way, and let him kiss her hand, but drew the line at him hitting away her rolemodel’s paw. <font color = #2E8AF1>"Nam! He’s trying to help you. You don’t have to be so rude…"</font> Although Nam was indeed acting ridiculously, Hal would never abandon his calm demeanour. <font color = #AE882C>"No, no,"</font> he said with a flutter of a smile, <font color = #AE882C>"He can be as rude as he wants. But know, young one,"</font> He gazed down at the injured pendragon with a slightly sterner look, <font color = #AE882C>"You are hurt, and it’s experience – not beauty – that can help you. I’d think you’d be a little more grateful."</font>

  9. <span style='color:gray'>I'm fine. I'm used to this. right now, I'm most worried about my leg, anyways.</span> he said, forcing himself to sit up.
<span style='color:gray'>Got any bandages here? maybe some water, if its not too much to ask?</span> he said, looking at Dark. Nam understood: Dark liked Leuka, as did he himself, but unlike Dark, Nam was not afraid to make it known. He felt a little guilty, that he was beating out someone else, but it was the way of the world.
<span style='color:gray'>great...</span> he said, scowling slightly. He clenched his teeth and, ignoring proper medical procedure, forced the bone back into its place. He flopped onto his back, seeming not to care that his leg was now bleeding worse than before.
He peeled a blood-soaked glove off his right hand, the smooth metal on the back of his hand reflecting the firelight. He pulled up his sleeve, oblivious to the strange looks he was bound to be getting, and checked his elbow joint.
<span style='color:gray'>At least this didn't break... this is my most expensive limb.</span> he said absently, pulling a pin from the elbow and rolling it over to see the other side of his forearm.
<span style='color:gray'>you see, the ball joint is more durable, and can work just like a normal elbow with the pin keeping it from rolling sideways. but, the joint was a standard shoulder, slightly modified, so it still has the motars to move it in all directions.</span> he said, more absently than before.

  10. Leuka looked at Hal, wondering how he was going to take this blatant rudeness. Hal was still smiling, but opened his mouth to speak. <font color = #AE882C>"CanÂ’t you hear me, lad?"</font>

  11. <span style='color:gray'>No, I cannot hear you.</span> he said sarcasticly.
<span style='color:gray'>I'm not deaf, you know.</span> he said, rolling the arm back into place and replacing the pin. He sighed deeply.
<span style='color:gray'>Can someone please get me some bandages? I'm going to pass out if I lose much more blood.</span> He said.
He swayed slightly. He was getting dizzy, and he knew that after that you black out.

  12. Halicarnassus had joined Dark over by the cart. Tyojka scuttled immediately behind him. Leuka stared down at the bleeding form that Hal had tried to kindly to assist. Sure, they had left Watani on a bad note, but to see him injured like that really did get to her. <font color = #2E8AF1>"WhyÂ… why are you so horrible?"</font> She stammered in a kind of whisper, not caring if she was sounding stupid. <font color = #2E8AF1>"He had the bandages. He was already beginning to heal you until youÂ… until you started snapping and acting like you could look after yourself."</font> She touched his hand. <font color = #2E8AF1>"I don't want you to be hurt, Nam, but I respect Hal more than anyone I've ever met before and I... he doesn't deserve to be treated like that by you when all he's trying to do is help."</font>

  13. <span style='color:gray'>I'm sorry, really...</span> he said, rubbing his temple with two metal fingers.
<span style='color:gray'>I may be in my element here, but I have not eaten in...</span> he counted off on his left hand.
<span style='color:gray'>...three or four days.</span> he said, scowling.
<span style='color:gray'>...what kind of mood can you expect me to be in? I'm hungry I'm bleeding and I'm tired</span> he said, clapping a metal hand over his eyes with a dull clank sound.
<span style='color:gray'>...and in case you don't remember, for the longest time, I have had to look after myself.</span> he said, falling onto his back.
<span style='color:gray'>your free to leave me here to die, if you'd like. not like I have any reason to care what happens to me.</span> he said silently.
so... dizzy... was all he could think before he passed out.

  14. OoC - Wow, your character is reallyÂ… umÂ…. I don't like him. -_-

IC - Leuka sighed, still feeling very tearful (she didn't go well with blood). <font color = #2E8AF1>"Yeah, well you were flirting with me a second ago."</font> She said truthfully in a soft voice. She did like Nam. And maybe that could grow to even more, but first Hal tried to help him, then Nam hit him away then moaned about his injuries, then Hal tried to help him again and Nam snapped at him then moaned about his injuries, then Hal tried to help him again, and Nam had said he was fine. Now Nam was moaning againÂ… and expected Hal to help! Now! After all that! Leuka frowned. It looked like Hal, in his quiet and polite fashion, didn't think Nam too worthy of his assistance anymore. <font color = #2E8AF1>"It's not me you've got to apologise to."</font> Then he passed out. Leuka hissed and lay grumpily beside him, exasperated.

  16. You could just roleplay him waking up?
