Jatei's stomach rumbled on like a droning machine, powered by her lack of food instead of a never-sleeping spirit world. She tossed her spectrumal mane slightly irritably back and forth; fading tendrils waving in the crisp breeze before placidly resting along her shoulders once more. Not quite in an infuriated way, merely a show of her frustration in not being able to find anything to snack upon that cool morning. There wasn't any prey around, the unusually non-humid atmosphere of the Vivuli Jungle seemed to have scared off the major food sources.

Luckily the pendragon spotted a craning Pilldickle swaying with the gale, and she trotted up to it with a smile. Jay grasped the empty flask that hung from her neck, usually filled with water, and strode up to the shoulder height plant. The journeywoman bowed her head and locked an ebony antler just beneath the flora's head, jerking upwards and severing the bulb with ease. Lowering to her haunches, Jatei cupped the trap in her forepaws and held it to her lips, squeezing out some of the rich nectar. It was slightly tangy, considering it was from the top not the stem, but she'd gather that later. She tipped the shriveled cup away and unscrewed the cap of her canister, gingerly holding the stem in a single claw. The female lowered it into the flask's neck and squeezed; within a few minutes the container was filled with the sweet substance.

Pleased, Jay trekked to the jungle's border, desert sand overcoming the lush green foliage of Vivuli. Now it was time to find the meat of her breakfast, already something in mind that currently floated in her cranium. She was searching for Scree, the grainy foliage that coated the sand in carpets in the desert here. It was perfect to go with her sweetener, the liquid that sloshed in the canister below her ruff. Finally, there it was: tufts of the grain growing thickly beneath a shaded rock in secret. Jatei beamed and scampered to the grass playfully, both of her horns flicking downwards to sever the grain. She cocked her head sideways and sliced it like a farmer's hoe, a small pile of the granules mounting beneath her feet. That would most likely be enough for a small group of 'dragons, if any decided to come in the near future. Also, she had plenty of nectar to spare, she thought while tipping open the container.

The offwhite female dripped some liquid sugar onto her cereal and started to consume it with relish; eating a good portion of the large pile. Breakfast had arrived.</font>

Caramel tail-tip flickered lightly as Okkie rolled over. Its ginger jerking was complemented by a luxurious groan and a few pops. The femme was perched upon a stone just inside the borders of the Pwa Desert -- one that was just now being stroked by the rays of the rising sun. Its breadth was warm and it felt very luscious to Okkie's body as she turned over like an over-baked potato chip. The cracks and dents and niches in the shale provided a pedestal or two against which her vertebrae sweetly crunched. Moments ago she had been snoozing lazily on her right flank -- backside to the Vivuli Jungle which was a little ways off. Now she was flopped impishly on her slim belly... cobalt oculars open and lazily scanning the borders betwixt the the desert sands and the jungle growth.

All seemed well in the distant greenery. The foliage rustled as a light zephyr whisked by. But nothing else. It was too early for most to be roused. Right now was a good siesta time. Which was why the femme fatale was slumped over 'her' stone.

Then -- suddenly -- there was movement. 'Kie shifted and cracked her tail against the rock as she lifted her cranium slightly. She watched with fierce eyes as a she-'dragon slunk from the jungle onto the sandy desert grains. She had sharp horns growing from her forehead and the teenager quirked a brow. Odd... but sort of beautiful. The stranger quietly advanced into the desert and disappeared behind a rock not too far from Okkie's own.

The young female sniffed and stood up. Neck craned as she attempted to see what the other was doing. Turned out she was collecting some scree and pouring sugary pilldickle nectar over it. Okkie watched and suddenly felt the pang of hunger lurch in her gut.

Without hesitation she bounced from her rock and prowled over towards the rainbow-maned stranger.

    "Ah... hullo. Care to share?"</font>

  3. <font color='#FFFFFF'>Of course. Who might you be? I'm Jatei, or just Jay.

Jatei neatly separated the mound of cereal with her foreclaws, giving the newcomer a quite larger portion than her own; since she had already eaten some. It was a good thing this stranger had arrived to come and consume some of her breakfast, no way would the slender female be able to eat all of it without giving herself a severe stomach-ache. Plus major indigestion. Now she just needed to know exactly who she was, so Jay could thank her and perhaps start a friendly conversation with the friendly, caramel, and marshmallow, not to mention hungry, pendragon in front of her.</font>

I’m really sorry about the delay. I’ve been somewhat overwhelmed with everything lately. *Tries to make up for it with a yay post*

Okkie idly shifted her weight as she eyed the stranger with seas of powdered blue. This stranger had a remarkable build and a lithe design. She was just as unique as Okkie-the-banded was, and the young female grinned somewhat as her eyes stealthily moved up to peer at the other’s horns. They were quite an oddity, but not too strange, and definitely not too ugly. In fact, they were beautiful, and ’Kie decided they complemented this creature fully. Strong, curving weaponry for a powerful, charismatic pendragon.

“Hey, thanks. I’m... You can call me XII.”

Of course, this was said as ‘twelve’, and the sly she-’dragon pivoted her ears with a crafty grin. She was tired of plain old ‘Okkie’. The Roman numeral, ancient in itself, was so much more mysterious.

“Not many are so open to me. What with my Kanji ’n stuff. But you’re not exactly the average pendragon, eh?”

Okkie smiled gingerly as she moved in towards the Scree. Left paw reached out, scooped up a pile of grains, and the young one dumped the whole lot into her mouth. Her cheeks bulged, and Okkie was suddenly sorry that she was not ‘wearing her wings’ today — she would have made quite a silly sight with those feathery things, bulging cheeks, and that uncanny and goofy grin.</font>
