OoC - Private IC - As the rain battered violently down on the thatched roof of the stingy bar in which he sat, Ludwig Dark pulled his heavily-booted feet from the table, and stood up. He stretched subtly, and frowned towards the door. The window hinted utter darkness without, and, gripping the strap of his backpack, Dark left the bar to face the night. As he closed the door, the warmth and healthy chatter of voices ceased at once. Dark turned – the road ahead was long and winding, and he set off without another word, head bowed slightly. His thoughts were on Leuka who seemed to have abandoned one travelling companion for another quicker than he could click his fingers, but Dark decided that he did not care. At least, he convinced himself that he did not care. Despite the sharpness of his black eyes, the night’s shadow had thrown everything into darkness, especially as he headed away from the blaring streetlights of Watani’s outskirts. The road was as weary as Dark’s mind, and, putting two and two together, fate placed a pothole just as Dark stepped onto it… Letting out a deep gasp of pain, the young pendragon tugged his foot from the pothole, and threw his own back against a towering oak to rest, breathing heavily. He gazed down at his ankle which, although it looked unharmed, was clearly sprained. His heart seemed to be beating in his ankle, throbbing heavily. Through clenched teeth, Dark gazed in one direction – Watani twinkled in the distance. And in the other – nothing.
Cero was wet and shivering slightly. This was the thrid time his dreams had taken out of the desert and spat him out into the middle of a country he'd never been too. He had no desire to leave the desert, but his magic it seemed had other plans for him. He rolled his eyes growing frustrated they weren't used to the light. It never got quite this dark in the desert, because their were no trees or buildings to creatate such long dark shadows. He began telling himself off aloud in the middle of a well worn path,<span style='color:red'>"I've got to seek some kind of control, or something to get ride of these dreams!" "If I could learn dream weaving, I'm sure they would go away or at lest subside"... </span> He paused, He knew that going to school really wasn't an option. Perhaps he could seek a tutor of some kind? Did they have those? He hardly knew but he had always he thought it best to avoid socail situations... A group of about four penadragons passed him, they were clearly drunk. And although he was large for an Anubi let alone other pendragons he always seemed to get picked on for what-ever reason. One of them pointed and threw a rock at him. <span style='color:green'>"Hey look at him, he walks around on all fours!"</span> <span style='color:yellow'>"You don't see that much any more!" </span><span style='color:blue'> "Whats wrong can't walk up-right?"</span> Cero frowned, he thought it just as odd that they walked on two legs. Anubi never did that, at least he'd never seen them do that. He stummbled into the shadows trying to set himself on two legs unsuccsefuly. He eventuly managed a sort of inbetween crouch but it was slow. He'd never get anywhere like that. As he got father away from what he gussed to be a tavern or a bar, things quited down. He hope he wounldn't meet anyone else but his hopes were none of fates concerns. They never were...He heard rustling in the distance and he stopped short.
OoC - Just so you know... Dark isn't doing any moaning. :P IC - Dark pressed the back of his head exasperatingly against his tree, glaring up at the canopy as rain ran down his face. He closed his dark eyes for a moment, savouring the comfort as the rain cooled his aching ankle, then snapped them back open and stared back down the road. It was misty; dark; but there was a figure coming towards him that had stopped. Although Dark was now well out of the city, he could still hear jeering voices from the substantial hustle. He resisted the sheepish desire to call LeukaÂ’s name, becauseÂ… why would it be Leuka? Why would she look for him? So he waited patiently, glaring into the darkness.
Cero, felt sure he sensed someone...or something just ahead of him in the path. He blinked his eyes furiously hopping that they would come into focus, but they wouldn't. All he could see was a pitch black landscape that varied in shades of black. He though about moveing on very quickly and trying not to be noticed but he felt to vulnerable. He took a deep breath and called out to whatever it was, <span style='color:red'>"You seemed to have stopped in the middle of the path, can I be of service to you?" </span>He voice was calm be he felt rather nervous, he was hardly in shape to fight at the moment...Ever sence he'd gotten into a fight with that canablie but in the desert his left leg had been giving him a hard time so he'd been limping in a funny trott. Cero closed his eyes and reached for his magic with invisable thread. If something happen he would be ready. He sighed and waited for a reply.<span style='color:red'> At least I'm still out of sight </span> he though to himself in a pleading manner.
Dark blinked in the blackness. Service? No. Dark could take care of himself, despite his injured ankle – he would not sink so low as to beg for assistance. The best thing to do would be to wait until he could walk again, no matter how long that took. Head rested against the tree, he hesitated before he spoke, but speak he did, thinking that perhaps it was best to answer the stranger’s question to make him go away. <font color = #808080>"No."</font>
OoC - Dark is clearly very unsociable. Your character has to make an effort. :P If he can't, however, then sure, we can close this thread.
He heard a voice it seemed...strained maybe? It had said no but... He wished to locate the source. Cero willed there to be fire and thier it was at the tip of his paw in his palm. He held the flame out like a torch or a candel. He smiled becoming pleased with himself and mummbled, <span style='color:red'>"I should have though of this sooner." </span> His black fur was elumanated by the flame that dance in his hand. He trotted down the path his eyes create-ing thin beams of light. He stopped feeling cocky, it was another pendragon. He was resting agaist a tree his legs spread out in front of him. He seemed crippled for the time being. Cero let the flame grow bigger creating more light untill both of them were bathed in it. He held out a paw and let out a strange laugh, <span style='color:red'>"Oh thank goodness I was expecting a Korad or something like that."</span> Another odd laugh. <span style='color:red'>"When you don't get out much you expect the worst...Silly of me isn't it?" "I'm Kajy, are you sure I can't give you a paw up?"</span> He smiled his fangs at the conners of his mouth. OoC: No no, You said something about a new plot...I wasn't sure if you wanted me to post again that all.
<font color = #808080>"IÂ’mÂ… fine."</font> Dark hissed untruthfully, staring at the other pendragonÂ’s extended paw. <font color = #808080>"I just canÂ’t walk for now. But it doesnÂ’t matter. You may leave me be."</font>
Cero's eyes narrowed <span style='color:red'>"Then perhaps I should stay with you untill you can walk again?" "So that my follow travalers don't trip right over you!" </span>He shook his head, <span style='color:red'>"Such a bad spot to get a sprain." </span>He brought his hand back and sat down playing with the flame.
