Out of Character

Dyo, 21, 81382 noonish Character: Rluknyym Kleams

A dark figure in the sky swooped down in between the dense canopy that covered the jungle below. his dark fur and hair whipped around him in the wind. his eyes were getting a ting of red from his hunger. his blood and mud streaked fur was a normality when ever he came home. some of the blood was his own... some was not. he moved skillfully and swiftly through the trees tilting his wings ever so slightly to avoid hitting thing. it seems almost effortless. surprising for someone of his massive size. his once angelic wings had loss every feather and were now thick black leather with a dark red tip that had once been where his white tipped feather had been. suddenly he dropped out of the sky hitting the ground gracefully. he simply walked towards a small cave opening that was barely noticeable unless you were looking for it. licking his lips he walked in having to bend only slightly at a towering 6"3. "Temrin, its me, I'm home" Rluknyyms voice echoed through the cave. it was powerful but peaceful.
The cave was unusually quiet, at least, to her own ears thats what it seemed, the first quiet in what seemed like painful years. With as little effort as she had, already holding the small bundle of hell in her arms, she rolled her head back to face the cave door, through the corner between the back of the ripped couch back and the padding on the arm rest that her head rested against. Her limbs were numb and her entire being so exhausted from lack of sleep. Her hair lay as frazzled as she around her face and over the arm rest. Taking an intake of break she whispered, for dear god she didn't want to wake up the demon spawn of a child that never slept. "..I'm on the couch... Rluknyym.. Please be quiet..." Her head lolled back to it's previous relaxed position and for the first time, tried to keep herself awake in the peaceful silence. Groaning a slight bit she moved, shakily, to a sitting up position on the couch. Her eyes focused on the mess in the den and realized how bad it must look, and how bad she must look, but all she cared was that Rluknyym didn't freak out at the sight of it all and the silent cooing baby still slept.
Rluknyym blinked as he took in his surroundings... his eyes went large and at frist his tone was a controlled anger till he looked at his run down love. oh...my...god....Temrin... are you okay? did something happen? it looks like.. did you have a fight with someone in here? are you okay?" he walked to her. she looked tired and tattered her hair looked like it hadn't been brushed in a while. crouching beside her he but a hand to her forehead to check her temperature. do you feel sick? is it a head ache? i mean really Tem it looks like this place hasn't been cleaned in... weeks months even!what have you been doing in here?
Her gray blue hair was loosely draped in front of the blanketed bundle in her dark gray furred arms, as he checked her temperature, he hair was moved and the breathing cloth became visible. Lifting her chin wearily she looked into his eyes, "Thank god your home... I've been hardly surviving with all of this! But i guess you don't know about it all.. No I'm not sick... THIS is the cause of my trouble..." She hissed quietly as she Looked down at the sleeping child. Reaching her arm securely around the baby, she took her other hand and attempted to slip off the couch to stand on rubber legs. Struggling to hold her balance she quickly grabbed Rluknyym's arm until she was steady. "I will explain... once i put this thing in its crib.. hopefully the devil doesn't wake up..." She stalked off to the bedroom, dragging her claws along the ground. Leaning over the side of the crib she bent and carefully put the bundle inside and leaned back up again. She waited to hear the cry from the wretched ball of destruction, but none came. Relief swept over her. She began to walk around the new boxes that littered the floor, some opened and some still closed with prominent black labels on them, back to the den. She slowly, but smoothly walked right up to Rluknyym without looking at him and wrapped her arms about his waist, to tired to lift them further. "I missed you so much... I love you. Now, sit. There is.. much you need to know"
Rluknyym blinked. he stayed kneeling as he watched her put a baby that was about a year old by the look of it in a crib. he stood up and watched her his eyebrows knit together. he watched as she came up and put her arms around his waist. he rested his hands on her back. "i love you to... and i missed you.. but please... explain.." he moved to the couch and pulled her gently onto his lap so she could rest her head on his shoulder. she looked so tired and the baby... he recognized the scent. it was his niece. "...where's Takjas?" he asked looking around the cave past all the boxes as if he expected to see her sitting against a wall somewhere. he was very confused... where was his sister.. was was the apartment wrecked... how long had Kaiya been here... had Temrin been here with the baby by herself?
Her emotions welled up at the thought of what had happened. She nuzzled her head onto his shoulder and took a breath. "Takjas... Well... the last i heard from her was shortly after you left... She came here with some of her things, those boxes you see there, she said she would be back in only a few days, asking if i could take care of Kaiya. I agreed to watch her, even though i really didn't have much of a choice, she basically handed everything to me, said goodbye and left... I never heard back from her... After about 4 days i went out with the baby, into town in hopes of maybe trying to contact her, or to see if anyone we knew, had seen her... In turn, the first i talked to, handed me a paper and told me to read the front page. Apparently Takjas snapped... She was captured, not easily mind you, and taken to a mental institute for causing mass destruction and insanity. Her demon had taken over... She burned down many shops near the residential caves before the authorities caught up with her. They got close a few times and many were incinerated by that acid vapor. They found a way beyond it and finally took her down, dragging her off to the institute. No one is allowed to see her until they can figure out how to get her back to normal... " Temrin let out a deep breath and in the silence, she could feel her consciousness slipping away. Nuzzling her head deeper into the crook of his neck she rested her hand on his chest. "So many things broken... So... little... sleep..." Her hair was greasy and straggled over her shoulders and over his as well. With a last thought, knowing that he must be in rage from hearing this she took the hand resting on his chest and lifted it to his cheek. "Stay here love... Rest with me... We'll talk more... later... sleep while the baby does..." With that her hand slipped down him to rest at his lap as her breathing slowed and sleep overcame her exhausted figure.
