Characters: Veyri Tuaren Date: 17° Mia 81830 Location: The Courtyard Another day, it seemed, spent on endless daydreams, She thought to herself. Oooh, Rhyme... yes. A few scribbles remained on the paper, through all the bits of eraser and broken pencil tips that weren't bothered to be brushed away. Songwriting proved to be more than just a piece of cake. She was struggling with making things fit and keeping them focused and on topic. The latter was harder than it seemed, for Veyri was cursed with wretched ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). No, she wasn't retarded or anything, (even though sometimes she felt like it) she just had trouble staying focused, so things like this were hardly coherent. Veyri decided to give up for a while. She closed her notebook and shoved it into her sak, not even taking time to make sure the pages were straight or anything. As far as songwriting went, she had given it a try and let's just say it wasn't her cherry pie. A number of students, young and older alike, strolled by, until Veyri saw so many she felt as if she was counting sheep. Boredom had taken ahold. A very common disease of the young generation. Usually, she could find something to do, but today... today just wasn't her day. She was absolutely at a loss for anything to do at all. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad if she didn't feel like crap and that was probably part of the problem. And so she sat, waiting for prince charming, or at least someone interesting to walk by and say something.
Tilt to the right... now tilt to the left... Khuta was running images in his mind on how he might have looked to other pendragons that saw him. Not that he care much. Though a typical hot-blooded male who likes to show off his talent, he wasn't really that vain. Tilt to the left again. Why did these teachers have to give him so many books? He had thought that a million times but never got around to ask them about it. His arms were stacked with books and it went up to obscuring his vision. He can't really see in front of him so he had to look around the books, which unfortunately, wasn't helping with balance. On top of those books were his music papers. He had been spacing out lately in class and can only be in the mood for music. Perhaps this is why his teachers were punishing him? A slight breeze blew pass and flirted with his papers. The breeze then brought one of his papers in the air. At the jolt of realising his paper was flying away, he momentarily forgot that he held a stack of books and thus reaching out a whitish paw to catch it. His eyes only saw his paper and he mentally rejoiced when he caught it. It was then a little too late to realise that the rest of his belongings had unceremoniously dropped on a bright coloured green-blue femme and on the floor.
Within the few minutes that her song was actually starting to get somewhere, she suddenly found herself toppled over on the ground under a few dozen books and papers. She huffed a sort of sigh, blowing the papers from her head away so that she could see her newfound company. The situation left her in an awkward position with no real way out. Amused, she started to collect the belongings of the pendragon whom she did not know as Khuta. Veyri had noticed the male sitting to the side of her. She had, if only for a minute, stopped to study his features and such, but seeing that he was busy and didn't appear to be in a very talkative mood, she had decided to leave him to his work. He had been so involved with his books that she didn't want to bother him with her boredom. She could really see how she would've been an easy target for the papers. Her bright coloured fur stood out prominently against any background. It annoyed her sometimes, so much that she had even considered getting her fur dyed, but opted against it. Realizing that she was just sitting there and being a little rude towards him, she introduced herself. The incident hadn't really put her in a sour mood, given her usual personality towards such things. Today, she was just feeling more outgoing than most, so it wasn't hard for her to spit out the, "Hey there."
With a confused blink, he looked down to the ground. Then he let out a small chuckle realizing the situation that had befall both him and the femme on the ground. <span style='color:green'>I'm so sorry about that. I'm getting sleep deprived I barely know what I'm doing half the time.</span> He bent down as he spoke and picked his other books up. When he got them, he helped the stranger up and took the books from her with a pleasant <span style='color:green'>thanks'</span>. He set the load on the table and pinned his papers down with one thick book on hypnosis. He then turned back to the stranger. <span style='color:green'>You're not hurt, are you?</span> he asked. <span style='color:green'>It seems like I hurt 'dragons unintentionally alot of times. I advice you in the future, do not sit beside someone who has loads of books.</span>
"No worries, I'm fine." she replied, "Happens all the time. I just have a magnetic connection with schoolwork. I can't stay away from it." The situation amused her and put her in an unusually cheery mood. It was quite unlike her to be outgoing and helpful. Any other day he would've probably been eaten by a lake of sarcasm and foul words. "Great advice, I'll try to remember to use it. By the way, I'm Veyri, Veyri Tuaren. Call me Vee." she added. After handing the books and papers over to him, she sat down in a chair. Her eyes skimmed over the first thing she saw on top, which happened to be a book on hypnosis. It seemed interesting, controlling someone with the use of an object or something such. "So, what kind of classes do you take?" she spoke, to stave off the silence. While sitting, she opened her sak and pulled out the piece of paper with the few song lines on it. She ripped the paper out and folded it up in a square, replacing it in the bottom of her pack. On the new sheet, she began to draw the character she saw before her. She broadly sketched the outline and then went into a bit of detail with his facial features and the rest of his body. Drawing was the easiest thing she could think of to pass the time, but she didn't draw too much anymore for lack of inspiration. When it came along in its little bouts, though, she attacked paper and pencil with a strong passion.
<span style='color:green'>Glad you're okay after the attack of the books.</span> he said, making a lame attempt to joke. He raised his tired eyes to look at the stranger. He smiled. <span style='color:green'>Pleasure to meet, Vee. The name's Khuta Sjyorla. Of course, you can call me whatever version of my name you like.</span> He sat down beside her, arranging his books neatly and checking if any papers were missing before he turned back to Veyri. <span style='color:green'>Oh, I take up hypnotism, some maths, and music.</span> Khuta was very fascinated with hypnotism as he is with music. He even used this skill to get out of thick trouble once and only once. He wasn't the one who would abuse a skill like that. Though he did found it amusing to make people speak what they would not tell him and make the smaller individuals oblige to acting like Takulas. He observed Veyri drawing and found that her drawing was quite good. Khuta wasn't an easy subject to draw and this stranger sitting beside him could catch his image and stick it on paper with a pencil. <span style='color:green'>How did'ya learn to draw?</span> he asked. If Khuta was to draw, he would be an insulting figure in the artistic world. <span style='color:green'>I can't even draw a simple tree.</span>
