A soul of malice, a mind of evil, a body of strength. This is Diable. His very name means 'Devil'. He's one without any bright hues, just a pelt of black and white. A lone stalker, one who stays away from civilization. He doesn't want to see others. Diable has decided to turn his back on relationships, because he isn't interested in betrayal or gaining the trust and love of others. Enigmatic darkness surrounds him. He's always residing in dark places, and his large wings are held above him, blocking any light from him. He lived in darkness, and with every breath that coursed into him, since childhood, has torn all hope away from him. He doesn't believe in anything or anyone anymore.

His steps were slow, calculated and ever so silent. His pelt of pure ivory appeared a dull gray in the obscure shadows. A long, reptilian tail with a large, crimsoned flame at the tip followed him everywhere leaving a trail of burned leaves, weeds and shrubs. Sometimes, he'd 'accidentally' burn up entire trees or even more. In the event of an encounter, he'd just singe his opponent without getting a scratch.

ooc: my first RP with my new character, Diable. Hope it wasn't too shoddy x_X;

()()(- Not at all, I just added in a timestamp. If no-one replies to this soon, I'll bring in a character of mine. [Spectra Diabolus]

ooc: Oh, thanks! Nice to know SOMEONE'S willing to add a reply ^__^

2. The stalker was being stalked.

3. As he slinked from shadow to shadow, that feeling of being watched came over Diable. He didn't like it at all. His head raised as his keen oculars pondered upon the surrounding area. Uneasiness..no, uncertainty came over Diable. His ears swiveled slowly, trying to catch something unseen to the eye. Nothing. He continued, keeping his head slightly higher, continuing to listen for any other sounds then his own footsteps.

4. Diable's stalker laughed softly to herself. So Diable was wary of her, was he? Diable didnt have a chance. Once Yuin, as she was called, had sighted a prey, she had never lost one for over 20 years. Not surprising, since in her childhood she had been beaten for every once she missed. So now she stole silently after Diable, waiting patiently for her chance, keeping to shadows where her dark pelt was well-nigh invisible. She grinned a predator's grin.

5. Now he was sure someone was out there. So sure, that he called out, "Alright! Who's there??!?? Don't be a coward!" He stood as tall as he could, back away into a tree. A malicious grin split his features. "So you wanna fight, eh? Show yourself, unless you wanna have your heart ripped out." He was serious now. Whoever it was stalking him, he had to kill it. He hadn't had a good fight for a while. Young, lithe, powerful, self-confident and very stubborn, he wasn't afraid. A little bloodshed wouldn't hurt. He started snarling..a snarl so deep in his throat, it was a snarl that was like a final warning. Now if you were to approach him, he'd lunge at you and rip your throat out. His breaths were very slow now, his lungs were taking in the oxygen so slowly. It was so silent. He heard those footsteps again. He pounced for the Pendragon in the shadows, right at it's side. He wasn't able to comprehend what it was yet, so he didn't attack.

6. whoa. this was getting a little out of hand here. Yuin hastily made herself invisible and backed away a little. She was now invisble, silent, noone could detect her presence. Diable might think he had gone crazy, or had just imagined things. She wasnt going to give him the satisfaction of a fight. Besides, he might win an out-an-out fair fight. So she would wait until he sunsided before making her move.

7. The creature he had just pounced beside had dissapeared before the corner of his eye. He knew he was very near another one who meant harm on him. He lowered his tail near the ground as he carefully formed a pile of dry leaves, and set it on fire. The fire took immediately, but it took a little while to grow large and to catch to the other leaves that littered the ground. Maybe the fire was going to set Yuin's mind off keeping his invisibility spell effective, and he'd be caught. Diable, with claws like a cat's, climbed a tall tree and watched the fire engulf the leaves, some small trees and shrubbery. With the flames beginning to lick at his tree, it became very hot. He used his large wings as a fan as they pushed the flames away from him. The crimson flames shone in his black eyes as he stared into the fire, searching for Yuin to reappear.

8. Oho. So this one was crafty. Maybe even had some intelligence. But Yuin had been hunting too long, had been beaten too severely when she failed to return with prey, to be caught out by what she considered to be a beginners tricks. So now, as she saw Diable fan the flames towards her, She grinned to herself, and, carefully keeping her invisiblility spell well in place. jumped with her mind, suddenly reappearing now behind the tree where Diable had taken refuge from his own flames. Hopefully, with his mind concentrated on the flames and on trying to find her, he might let his guard a bit down so that she could jump him, and ease her aching jaws on his tender flesh. She wouldnt even have to call up fire to cook him in - fire was already here, and in abundance.

9. The fire had engulfed a large area of woods ahead of him, and still no sign of a burning Pendragon. He twirled around on his branch and realized that there wasn't any fire around there. He carelessly prepared himself for jumping off the tree, realizing that he'd probably gone insane. "I'm just paranoid.", he said to himself.

Nope, no one was here, but ol' Diable. But as his forepaws slid down the tree, his head watching the ground as he descended, a flame caught to a bunch of leaves next to his tree. His mind was now completely off guard from making sure that he was in fact alone, as he was almost certain of. So he had to leap off his branch, about 10 feet away from the tree, where Yuin was in fact hiding. This jump required him to avert all attention to the area in which he wanted to land as to not lose his footing. Just as his paws left the tree's rough bark, he heard a footstep other than his own. His attention was set completely off balanced and he instead landed almost at the feet of Yuin, on his right side.

10. Yuin was berating herself for being careless as Diable landed not a foot away from herself - what if he'd landed on her instead of next to?? That would really have given the game away! But suddenly she realized her opportunity, she wasted not a moment as Diable came crashing down at her feet, off guard and fallen. Her fangs slashed at his side. Then with a powerful blow to the head she knocked him unconcious. She had a feeling - a premonition, really, which was not all that uncommon for her - that this one would be more useful alive than dead. Not that if push came to shove and she was starving that she wouldnt still eat him, mind, but for the meantime she would go after other game. But she couldnt leave this one unattended, and he was too big and heavy for her to carry or even drag very far. So she searched the area nearby, all the while keeping a watchful eye on Diable's prostrate form, until she found the vine she was searching for.
Yuin had been singularly blessed - or cursed! with a small, very sharp horn protruding from the end of her tail. while as a young child she had often been mocked and tormented about it, it had its many uses. Now, she used it to sever the vine from its source, and, going over to Diable unconcious form, she used the horn to clumsily but effectively tie it around his tail. The vine, besides being inordinately strong, gave extremely painful burning sensations to pendragons skin, claws, and mouth when it touched them, and although it wore off fairly quickly, it was repeate each time you touched the vine, wearing off slower and slower each time. The vine was also immune to fire, very useful here, given Diable's particular talent. So, now that he was secured to a tree, she trotted off in search of some smaller prey.

11. Diable, unconscious, lay there completely knocked out, his breathing laboured. But as minutes passed by, he started to move. The heat around him was so tremendous, that as soon as he blinked, awakening, he got up very hastily. He wanted to run away, but his tail was being held away from him, tied up around an irritating vine. "WHAT THE HELL?!!?", he screamed, in shock. He tried slashing at the vine with his claws, but the pain that it brought to them was intense. He tried pulling away, while at the same time keeping the fire away from him by fanning it away with his wings. His one chance before frying was to burn the vine. The tip of his tail slinked over to a part of the vine, but it had no effect. He started cursing at the vine.
Diable decided that the only way to break free from the vine was to break it. His wings, very powerful, parted from eachother on his back and opened up. His large wingspan was almost unbeatable. He flapped those wings, pulling him off the ground, but his tail staying knotted with the evil vine. He ceased his wing movements slightly, just slightly enough to be set back with his paws on the ground, and yet as to create force pulling from the vine. So now, with his claws deep in the earth, he finally broke free from the vine, and the vine snapped in half somewhere in the middle. He was now flying pretty high, but with a long, heavy vine hanging from his tail and weighing him down. He just had to find Yuin now.
His luck, Yuin was right there, just a few hundred meters away. He dived for her, landing on her back, his jaws closing on the back of her neck. He just wanted to get her on the ground and helpless.

12. naraku, only about 300 yards from this brawl stoped and smiled at the the proceeding. He had planed to go find some herbs for his more powerful magic, but decided to watch instead. He did like the daily fights but enjoyed watching the younger ones try to kill each other. He laughed at the fact that he could kill them right them and their but decided against it. He cast an invisible spell that they did not have the technique to notice yet, and he sat down to enjoy the show. He might even hire the winner as an assassin

13. Yuin felt Diable's jaws close on the back of her neck. So, the runty thing was stronger than he looked, then. In point of fact, it was probably not Diable that was small as Yuin that was huge. She wasnt particularly attractive, but by no means ugly either. And she was definitely strong. So now Yuin reared up on her hind legs, lashing Diable with her sharp tail-spear, and crashed over backwards. Her landing was cushioned by Diable's body, but he landed on a sharp outcropping of rock. Which had been exactly her intention. Now, while he was still dazed from the fall, she leaped up and whirled, lashing out at him with her front claws and her sharp, lethal jaws. With one paw she raked his right shouled, drawing blood, and, while he still floundered to get up, with the other paw she cuffed him soundly on the head. She tore at his soft ear with her jaws. In one second, she had turned the tables on him. But suddenly she stopped she had the strange sensation of being watched. Keeping one eye on Diable, who was still on the ground, struggling as she still stood on him, hind legs pinning him down. Then she mentally cast about. Yes. definitely a pendragon oer there. Invisible. Although she hadnt had any real training in detecting and casting spells, as an assassin you picked up a few handy tricks. She also stole into his mind to learn his name. Not exactly orthodox, but well, Yuin wasnt exactly the type to respect anothers privacy. You had to survive using your wits and every trick in the book you could remember or invent. That was one of the first lessons she had learned. Now she called out "Naraku! Come out and show yourself! I know you're there!" And she looked directly at the spot where she knew him to be, even if she couldnt see him.

14. Naraku was suprised.he called out"now that was fast" He canceled the spell and walked up to her."i knew you were good but not that good. You even got into my mind without me letting you.you can let go of him. If he tried to run he will not farther than a foot."

15. Yuin was startled. She hadnt expected Naraku to come out so soon, if at all. She wasnt sure if she could trust him though, about letting Diable up. But, well, she had caught him twice already, so she could probably catch him a third time. So she moved a off him, kicking him to get up. Just cuz she had decided to let him live for the time being was no reason to treat him well, after all. So now she said to Naraku, "So why were you watching us, anyway?"

16. Still struggling from the vicious attack, Diable noticed Naraku with Yuin. He fell down as to pretend that he was even weaker than they'd thought, but he knew he still had a lot of strength. So their attention was averted for a split second, and just then, he made his move. He rose to all four legs and pounced for Yuin, snapping at her snout with bone-crushing force. He then backed away, ready to telegraph any coming attacks. "Come on! or are you scared?" He ruffled his fur and rubbed against a tree. She still hadn't seen what his flametail could do.

17. OOC: telegraph?? oh, or do you mean telepath?

BIC:
He was all there, this one. Quick, too. Still, Yuin wasnt too worried for her safety. He might manage to slip away, mind you, but she wasnt worried for her own sake. So now, she made herself invisible and jumped telekinetically until she was right behind Diable. She telepathed to him, {Think you're tricky, dont you? By the way, what's your name?}. She used telepathy as opposed to real speach because if he heard her voice that would clue him in to where she was. This way, for all he knew she could be halfway across the planet.
Then, she pounced. Landed square on his shoulders. And this time she wasnt going to let him away as lightly as before. It was getting annoying to have to subdue him this much. And it could prove tiring, if it persisted. So she would have to see that it didnt.
So now, still poised on top of him, she dug her claws into his back, gouging deep into his skin and drawing blood. With her lethal fangs she ripped one of his ears to ribbons, and at the same time jumping off him so that her wait, still firmly attached to his ear, dragged him down again. Then she jumped on his fallen body again. With her claws she raked down his soft belly. Remembering the damage he had caused the forest with his tail, with one hind paw she stepped on the very edge of his tail, but right in front of the flame, so that he couldnt move the tip far enough to light anything up - including herself!. Now she snarled, "I...am...getting...so...sick...of...your little...tricks", punctuated by gaps in her speech as she scored his sides with her teeth. However, she only used them for injuries, not to kill, or she would have laid open his throat and thus with a single snap ended his life. However, she wanted to weaken him from loss of blood, and to make shure he thought twice before attacking her again. Then she whirled and gave him a hard kick in the head. It knocked him out. Good. Now maybe she could have a little breather and at the same time figure out what Naraku wanted. He had the look of someone who might hire an assassin. And anyway, yuin was tired of living apart from all civilization. She wanted tog et out and see the world. A job as an assassin would help her there. So now, one paw still planted firmly on Diable's tail so that he couldnt go even if he was just pretending to be unconsious and made a sudden lunge for it, she turned to Naraku again, "Sorry bout that...minor disturbance," she said, trying not to pant from her recent exertions, "But to get back to the point...? Why were you watching me subdue this turd earlier? If its a paid assassin you want, you'll find I have a high price." Might as well start high, right? She could always let herself be argued down if it came to that. But for the moment she still wasnt even sure what he wanted of her.

18. ooc: Telegraph, meaning watching the other and guessing their next move with body language. That's what I heard, anyways..

bic: Yuin had ceased her merciless attacks. Yes, so they weren't gonna kill him, but he was weakened. Half unconscious, too. But he was too much of a persistant bastard to lay there, looking like he'd surrendered. There was no way he was going to let Yuin get away with messing with him. If Yuin hadn't been following him, he wouldn't have attacked her. Where would the fun be in that, though? The side of his head was throbbing with every heartbeat. That awakened him from his helplessness. Diable's damaged earlobes hugged the sides of his head. He was panting slightly. Bleeding on his sides. His shredded ears had bled into his eyes too. But his persistance drove him to the desire to kill Yuin now, not just maim her. But his tail was immobilizing him beneath Yuin's weight. Diable was skinnier then Yuin, small muscled but still powerful.
He wasn't one who had ever learned magic, and it felt like a curse to him. His parents could have chosen to teach him that, rather than aerobatics. They never come in handy, unless you do shows for other's entertainment. Sure, Diable could if he wanted, but he hated being complimented. He knows all the things people say about him. Either, "He's a heartless bastard" or "He's an amazing Aerobat", he knows it all. On top of that, the least of his desires was to entertain others.
Diable was willing to stay lying there, panting like a dying puppy, bleeding, and aching. He wasn't going to move until he could. During the time he was laying there, seemingly unconscious, he was getting back some strength he'd lost.

19. "just a second dear. Diable, if you even try to attack us i Will kill you before you know it.the only downside is that i do not get to watch you suffer from the pain. Now back to bussiness, whats your price?i could inpower you with magic or do you want something else. or do you just want the thrill of the hunt?"

20. Yuin felt slightly out of her depth in face of all his questions. However, she rallied herself and answered swiftly "Hm...some extra magic would definitely be nice. Not that I dont have plenty of my own, mind you, but some extra cant hurt. Hm... yes, its partly for the thrill of the hunt that I do this, but I can get planty of thrill around here... my exact price will depend on what kind of job this is. Who do you want me to kill? How protected are they? What is their rank? Any ties to the Graders? Hm, oh, by the way, we may not have any choice if he keeps on acting up, but I have a feeling that our young friend here still has a part to play in something. Only if he's cooperative, mind. If he's good, we might even feed him. If he's not, he can be our food." And she grinned maliciously, runnin her tongue over her lips in anticipation. Diable hadnt given much indication so far of being very cooperative, and she wouldnt kill him unless she had too, but what she had said to Naraku had been partly for his ears, for she doubted that he was truly unconcious. So she added to him, "Hear that, snot-face?" and snarled at him to answer, kicking him at the same time.
