And there he stood looking as lost as it was possible. Brow was arched as steely blue orbs studied the vast corridor of endless doorways. The male barely took in a breath for fear it would do something wrong though when a deep breath was in-haled there was a strong and un-familiar smell that hit nostrils and filled lungs. Shifting nervously from one ebony padded paw to the other he bit bottom lip leaning heavily back against the wall and folding rusty fore limbs across broad chest haughtily large tipped pinnate falling back upon sleek skull. It certainly was an awkward situation- His only instructions received upon arriving had been "<B>Find a room-mate[/b]" which didn’t help terribly. Being an exchange student wasn’t the most exiting feeling in the world-In fact it had been the worst of the Pen-dragons life. Losing his family and his friends all in one day had been traumatic yet he had been shipped off almost Immediately after the “accident"

Of course he wasn’t about to tell the nearest Pen-dragon his life story but god it sure would help. Shifting weight un-easily once more he cast a sharp look down the corridor even the slightest noise set his pulse racing-His stomach twisting with the nervousness he never could get used too. Long elongated whip-like tail hovered soundlessly curled slightly near the flaming tip which was a soft grey in colour tinted only by gold.  Stray ebony locks hung messily over handsome features hiding his terrified expression somewhat. Chin was adorned by a tuft of longer fur shaping almost like a miniature beard. A low sigh emitted from the Males jaws as he slid slowly down the wall and drew one knee up to chin hooking an arm around it boredly snuffing yet another irritating lock of hair out of orbs and hunched shoulders back. Beside him two bags were dumped un-ceremoniously-The last of his possessions, the others had been burnt away from sight.</table></font>

  2. <font color='#000000'>Okkie was inside her dormitory - #8402 - preparing herself for a day out on campus. She didn't have any classes today, but she was collecting various items and stuffing them unceremoniously into a shoulder bag. These objects included notebooks, sketchbooks, loose leaf paper, a few pencils, and a chunky black marker. When everything had been collected, the quaddie pendragon then zipped the knapsack up, took the handle in her teeth, and promptly exited her dormitory.

Once she was out in the hall, 'Kie arched her neck and slung the sack over her neck and shoulder, so that it rode comfortably by her elbow. The young pendragon then began to lope down the hallway, her gait jaunty and her eyes bright. She was completely engrossed with formulating her day's plan - she wanted to find a nice corner somewhere on campus and do some doodling. In fact, the youth was so deep into her thoughts, she didn't see the stranger in her path, and didn't notice him until her coyote-like muzzle bumped right into his shoulder blade.

"Oh! I'm sorry... my bad. Ahh... did I hurt yah? Sorry. My name's Okkie... didn't mean to... I was just zoning, you know?"</font>

The Male gave a somewhat(girlish) shriek as something collided with him-Setting nervous tension affray and sent him sidelong onto back staring up the ceiling with a rather stupid expression before blinking slowly and immediately leapt up to amend his rather..embarrassing screech lifting a paw to scratch the back of head nervously kicking bags behind him as he stood upright on four wobbly limbs large coyote-pinnate perked immediately upon cranium whilst an embarrassed grin.

What an idiot he must have looked at that time-Not to mention the two bags situated behind him that had been kicked aside were now lying a tangled heap though he paid no attention to either too busy attempting to amend his somewhat horrible first impression

‘<B>I uh..yeah-I’m Lamarr but you can call me Lamarr..well of course you can that’s my name..[/b]’ blinking he cast embarrassed gaze to the floor with a twitch of a frown before hurriedly adding ‘<B>Sorry ‘bout that-Blocking the corridor I mean-I’m new[/b]’ Lifting paw he scratched the back of head once more as he always did when feeling awkward.</table></font>

  4. <font color='#000000'>The female tilted her head and peered at the male as he regained balance and equilibrium. She hadn't really been too interested in him - she had planned to stay until he was on his feet and back to normal again, then bustle away to find a drawing spot. But something about this stranger... it made 'Kie hold back and stare at him, a serpentine grin creeping over her maw. His wail had been cute, and the way he was so awkward was also adorable. The female decided she wouldn't just rush off, after all. She wanted to get to know this male, this Lamarr.

"It's nice to meet you... Lamarr," Okkie said when he was done spitting out his nervous reply. She dipped her muzzle graciously, then her blue eyes matched with his own oculars. "New, eh? I can help you if you need anything, I live in a dormitory with my friend. Down the hall... yeah. And you weren't blocking the corridor. I just wasn't looking where I was going."

Snowy wings shuffled and Okkie blinked protuberant eyes at the male. Something in the youthful femme made her want to stay, despite her plans, and keep him company. He was so nervous and twitchy and shy. He was like a little lost niotie, and though she was far from a motherly pendragon, something deep inside the banded Okkie made her want to take this one under her wing.</font>

He blinked once more un-sure of what to reply-nor how to reply so as not to worsen the already awkward situation. Usually he would be full of himself-Cracking jokes, laughing carelessly but that was when he <I>knew[/i] some-one around the place. This time was different, It was as though he had gone back to the very first early days of school-life-The nervous timid youth had been petrified upon the first day though had steadily grown to fit into the casual beat of life with friends.

Biting lip(and back fears) he shifted nervous glance around the small hallway feeling more enclosed than ever before managing to blurt out

'<B>I um..yeah..Well I'm not sure exactly <I>what[/i] Im s'posed t'do..I never lived out o' home before[/b]' He could feel his legs quivering beneath him ebony-tipped pinnate fell back onto skull to prolong the nervousness</table></font>

  6. <font color='#000000'>"What you have to do first," Okkie said somewhat loudly, trying to calm the fretful male down with the smooth confidence in her voice, "Is find a dormitory. That is - if you plan on living in one? If you are, there's an open room across the hall from my own. It's #8404... all yours if and when you move in. I strongly suggest you pick that room, because not only does it have a bathroom, it's across from me. And I..." She chortled softly, her cinnamon tail tip wavering, "I am going to be the best thing that ever happened to you. For today, at least. Because I'm going to appoint myself your tour guide and bunk buddy. I'll help you move in, get settled, and start making friends. Okay?"

The female pricked her large, triangular ears, and offered Lamarr her widest, sweetest smile. As each moment chugged by, she felt more and more sympathy for this poor creature. He was so... lost in this huge Academy, in this huge world. All he needed was a little help, and a lot of friendliness... and giving him those things was worth putting off her other activities.</font>

Managing a stifled grin he shrunk back momentarily on haunches to retrieve the two small bags-Each covered in scribbles and god-knows what else. Obviously they hadn't been bought "recently" then again he hated changes, ironic that he was dropped slap bang in the middle of the biggest change in his life-Still the worst of the problems seemed to have been cleared up already. Dragging both bags forward he grasped one handle between teeth glancing back up at her through the veiling strands of hair

'<B>I'd appreshiate it very musch[/b]' he managed swinging the bag over right shoulder blade to free jaws once more though said nothing more-To be truthfully honest he was extactically happy she had offered such help and it was a huge relief not to mention a burden off nerves but he didn't mention it-After all he had to start re-building his "image" though it looked like that was going to be difficult, especially after <I>that[/i] start</table></font>

  8. <font color='#000000'>"This way, then."

Seeing that the male was finally beginning to feel more comfortable, Okkie nodded and pivoted on banded heel. As she began to walk back down the corridor, her blue eyes slid over the door to her dormitory. There was a clipboard hung on there, something she'd posted in case her friends or acquaintances wanted to scribble little notes in passing. Right now, there were quite a few messages scrawled in various hands - "Hi! See you in class!" and "Love you, love you, love you both! Have a good day!" and "XoXoXoXoX!" among them. She'd missed these little tokens on the way out, and Okkie smiled as she read over them now. Cute, cute, she murmured mentally, but then she reminded herself that now was not the time for this... now was the time to help Lamarr establish residence in the Janardan dormitories.

The winged female swung her cranium around to make sure he was following, and she smirked playfully as she watched the spike-tressed male dragging his bagge with him down the hallway. She would have offered to help, but 'Kie had her own bag, and besides, it was quite amusing to watch the goofy male struggle with his parcels.

"Just a few more feet... c'mon... you can... there you go."

Cobalt eyes twinkled as the male finally reached where Okkie was standing, and she jerked her head at the door across from her own. It was a bare, off-white threshold, with a simple #8404 printed up near the top in gilted letters. Kinda simple, especially compared to the femme's door, but that was okay. In time, Lamarr would have his own decorations to post. That is, if he decided to move in, and stay in.

"A'iight, let's go in. Don't worry, nobody else lives here. I think the 'dragon that did graduated? Or something like that. Um... anyway. Come on. Err... gotta find the key first..."

Okkie pinned her knapsack to her side with one arm, and used the other to fish around in said bag. She muttered quite a bit while she did this, and then smiled brightly when she found what she was looking for - a card key. She flashed it at Lamarr, saying idly, "This was left in front of the door with a note, saying this place was open to new inhabitants. Yah..." 'Kie then put the card in the slot, leaned against the doorjamb, and let her slim bodice tumble into the room. She left her foot in the door so the male could enter behind her, smiling mischievously the whole time.</font>

Having followed her without so much as a protest or sound he trailed up to the door dragging the second bag doggedly along the floor between jaws, jamming his left shoulder against the door he slunk in after lifting maw to glance vividly around the room-It was fairly large, far from what he had been expecting. A bunk bed was situated to the right of the room-A small window placed on the wall at the far end. One large desk was set opposite the beds and beside it a neat small bin. It seemed fairly plain with simple pine furniture and a soft steel blue carpet(very much the colour of his own optics)

Grinning widely he shuffled in droping to haunches and dropped the first bag to the ground sliding the second from shoulder blade before shifting exited gaze from the room back to Okkie beaming with obvious "thanks" before standing once more to observe the room

'Can't say it's as bad as I expected..just wait til' I re-decorate..' at this a mischievious grin slid over maw-Re-decorating was seen as a fun task to this artistic Male-Art had always been a hobby of his and he had never been given the freedom back at home to draw on his own walls (can you blame his parents?) 'S'better than home! Well..anything is at this point' dropping tone awkwardly he flopped to haunches once more pinnae perking once more 'I guess it was a bad introduction eh? M'names Lamarr Volvago for full-English' he added grinning sheepishly.</table></font>

  10. <font color='#000000'>Okkie flicked her foot away from the door and let it snap shut behind them. She then joined in Lamarr's observations of the medium-sized dormitory. It was a tad dusty due to disuse, and it was barren of life and personality, but that was to be expected. If he decided to move in, Lamarr would probably fill it with vibrant verve, color, persona. And 'Kie would be sure to help, if he wanted it - she had mad painting and decorating skills, y0.

"It's not bad at all. Kind of bare, but you'll bring it to life, right? You do want to stay for sure, right? If so, you'll need to inform a registrar that you've taken over this particular room... heh. But, no rush on that. Let's get your stuff unpacked."

Blue eyes slipped towards the two bags as the female dropped her own. She kicked it into a corner - drawing time would come later. Right now, she wanted to help the he-pendragon sort through his stuff and put it around the dormitory. Then it would seem more lively, more beautiful, more... his.</font>

Nodding in sole agreement he tore steely gaze from the window back to the banded one with a sleight of a grin 'I took Art y'see-Bit of a hobby so I can always decorate it..Back home my school had no dorms so the folks wouldn't exactly let me scribble over the walls' trailing off bluntly he sat back hooking one of the bag straps with one gray claw and dragged it towards him before digging through it with a slightly blank expression

'I haven't got that much too unpack-Kinda left in a hurry. I may have gotten involved in a little accident involving my spear practice' to emphasize on the mistake he grinned sheepishly whilst hoisting the bags up non-ceremoniously onto the lower bunk.

'Come to think of it I need a new one since the old one was..well confiscated from me' maybe not the best impression to give off but still he felt nerves beginning to melt away almost immediatly-Perhaps this wasn't going to be as bad as he had suspected-Despite how intimidating the vast school had looked from the outside though his noteful orbs locked on her own bag withy a wistful quirk of brow 'Hope I wasn't interruptin' anythin' you had planned? I'd hate to get in the way' to prove this was meant solely as a polite comment he grinned sheepishly once more lifting paw to flick yet another rebelled strand of ebony fur from vision.</table></font>

  12. <font color='#000000'>"I was actually gonna go out to the Courtyard or something to draw, but right now, it's all about getting you moved in. Drawing can come later, and maybe you can join me. You'll be able to meet pendragons besides... me."

'Kie chuckled softly, her spiked tail cleaving the air in soft arcs. While she was speaking, she did not look at the male, but kept peering around the empty dormitory. She was trying to imagine the shelves teeming with accessories, the walls painted with splendor, the bare floor covered with thick, colorful rugs. Lamarr had said he was the artistic type, and so the female guessed he would take certain licenses with this blank canvas. She just hoped he would allow her to help out - Okkie loved all things creative.

Finally, blue eyes slid onto the male, and the youthful femme smiled. She then gestured towards his bags, as if saying, "What's in there? Can I help with them?" She would have normally just pounced on the knapsacks and torn them open, flinging his possessions wherever she thought fit. But something told her that Lamarr's case was special... that he might be hurt if she just dropped on his stuff and started to toss it around the room like meaningless garbage...</font>

He quirked a brow in-quizzitivly shifting sleek skull to face Okkie once more wrinkling nose with a sudden grin '<B>Drawing eh? ou'll hafta show me some time-Didn'y know you were artsy too[/b]' shifting slightly he noted the gaze that had been averted to the bags and the smile shifted to a sleight of a frown-It would probably take no longer than a few minutes to actually sort his belongings out-He had planned to come with little and simply.

Perking coyote-styled pinnae he tossed the second bag up onto the bottom bunk beside the other '<B>Well It won't take long to sort these out-I can always do it later, If you give me a few minutes I can get my own sketch pad an' you can show me how to get around this place[/b]' grinning slightly he sprang up after the bags sitting back onto more and lifted one emptying it's contents onto the dark blue covers-Pens, pencils, books, notepads, cds and god knew what else were amongst the spilt items. Snatcjing the other he emptied it after the first before carefully selecting a particularly scruffy looking book and stuffing it into one of the bags(Which happened to be the one that suffered from various doodlings in thick black pen) adding to it the pencils that had fallen out earlier. Grinning lightly he nosed the bag onto the floor leaping down after it-Caught the strap between both jaws and swung it round onto right shoulder blade '<B>Think i'm just about ready![/b]'</table></font>

  14. <font color='#000000'>The male's exuberant nature had Okkie grinning as she watched him grab his bags and spill their contents all over the place. Her effervescent eyes fell upon multitudes of odds 'n ends - pens, pencils, dog-eared notebooks, shining compact discs... and many other things. Just the basics, for the real artist, the female thought approvingly, as she twitched her snowy wings and waited for Lamarr to fish the necessities out of the pile. By now, she'd half-forgotten about decorating the barren dormitory. The prospect of going out to draw, after all, was much more exciting at the moment, and what was more, she had an attractive male to tag along with her.

When Lamarr was all set to go, 'Kie took one last look at the empty room, giving up a silent promise to help her new friend decorate it later. The she-pendragon then swiftly exited the dormitory, and began to pad up the corridor. She made sure that the male was behind her, then sprinted up the slanting hall way, until the pair of 'dragons was on a ground level. Up ahead, the glass doors glowed with the day's creamy sunshine, and 'Kie loped towards the beckoning sun beams, relishing in them when she finally emerged from the subterranean dormitory wing.

"Let's skip the Courtyard, and just find a tree to settle under. The 'yard tends to be more crowded, and I can't concentrate with others all around me. Hey, over there, see that tree?" Okkie pointed at a looming old grandmother-of-a-tree, a few hundred meters away from the dormitory entrance. "Does that look like an okay spot to you?"</font>

He strode along behind his newly aqquired companion with a rather large grin. Already he felt at home and it didn't seem so big nor threatening when you had a friend to help you along the way. Even as they walked he carefully took in each detail-The pictures on the walls, the awards the notices, the other pen-dragons, the teachers, the smell the sights. It was an exiting place to be with so much to do so much to see-So much to say! The grin seemed to widen only slightly as he kept in stride with Okkie large coyote pinnae perked royally atop his head long thin black bangs seemed to hang right as they did and didn't appear to veil his sight too badly.

Too busy with his keen observation focused elsewhere he didn't so much as notice Okkie had stopped though heard the question clearly-Though a little too late as he crashed headfirst into her shoulderblade and backed up grinning stupidly as pinnae fell back-He never could pay attention long enough. 'Huh?' he asked somewhat bluntly before following her line of gaze to the small shrouded tree and considered it for a moment(Though for what reasons..it didn't seem to show) before nodding fevrently '<B>Looks perfect! You come along here often then?[/b]' arching a thin black brow he stepped up once again awaiting her too lead the way-Not particularly wanting to appear too over-confident in his leadershipping skills.</table></font>

  16. <font color='#000000'>It was only when Lamarr tumbled into Okkie that the female suddenly (and randomly) remembered that she'd left her bag in the male's dormitory. She emitted a small "Oh!" - both because she abruptly found herself tilting off-balance and because of her silly forgetfulness. Nimble thin legs quickly remedied the first problem as 'Kie held them rimrod straight and achieved stability. But the latter issue would only be resolved if the cocoa female trotted back to get her supplies.

“I’ll be right back! I forgot my stuff in your room...”

It only took the youthful femme a few moments to sprint back to the dorm' room and the back. Her knapsack was held in her maw as she prowled towards Lamarr - past Lamarr - out towards the tree she'd earlier pointed to.

“Sorry. Couldn’t talk with that sack of cotton in my mouth,” Okkie said when she reached the tree and dropped her bag. She peered over her shoulder to make sure her masculine friend was in tow. “But... yes. I come here a few times a week to just eat, read, draw. You know... relax.”</font>
