Tessera 7, 81382 Numi sat in the branches of a large tree, not exactly sure what kind it was. Her notebook rested in her lap, the pencil tapping on the half-filled page as she encountered yet another writer's block. She knew where she wanted the story to go; she just didn't know what to put between the two points. Gnawing on her eraser, she tried to make her mind work, worried; she hadn't been able to draw anything, either, and she feared her hopes and dreams were getting farther and farther away. Hyga lounged on the ground, hidden in the leaves, and watched his mistress fret, green eyes calm and serene. Heaving a sigh, the Macy lay down, closing his eyes and taking a little cat nap.
Corvus soared over the forest, looking for a good spot to think. He glided down to a small clearing and looked around. Yes this was a very good spot. As he walked into the trees, he lifted the flap on his bag and pulled out a small notebook and began to jot ideas. He paused as something rustled in one of the trees, then continued to walk, dismissing the noise as a wild animal.
Numi shifted in the tree a few times, fidgeting as she tried to make her brain think. Finally she sighed, rising and putting her notebook into her backpack next to the drawing pad. Jumping down, she let one small paw snag a lower branch, slowing her momentum enough so she could drop to the ground without breaking her legs. "<span style='color: green'>Come on, Hyga. We need to find something inspiring.</span>"
Corvus hopped up onto the trunk of a fallen tree and stretched out his wings, moving them back and forth to work out the stiffness from his flight. He lay back and closed his eyes, basking in the sounds of the forest, only moving to jot a line in his notebook now and then.
Numi started walking through the trees, gnawing on one delicate claw as she continued wrestling her thoughts. Hyga followed closely, yawning now and then; he wanted to go take a nap. Why did they have to keep wandering around like this? Huffing, he looked around, noticing the 'dragon on the log. Flicking a glance to his mistress, he trotted toward the fallen tree and curled up at the arden's feet, waiting for Numi to notice he was gone. She continued walking for a while, until she realized the soft pad of Hyga's step was no longer behind her. "<span style='color:green'>Hyga! Where are you hiding?"</span> She called, turning back to search for him. <span style='color:green'>Stubborn Macy.</span>
Corvus paused. More rustling nearby, must be some animal foraging, he thought to himself, and resumed his writing. He paused again. He could have sworn he heard someone call out. Opening his eyes, he pushed himself up onto his elbows and looked around.
Hyga responded to the arden's movements, rising to stand with his front paws on the log, balancing himself so he could look the 'dragon in the eye. Behind the trees, Numi called again, exhasperated. <span style='color:green'>"Hyga! At least break a stick or something so I know you're alright!"</span>
Corvus looked down at the kitten and quirked an eyebrow. "Well hello little one, what are you doing way out here?" A sound from the brush caught his ears and he scanned the brush. "Hello?" he called, "Is someone out there?"
Numi jumped at the sound of a voice, following it cautiously. She found an arden sitting on a log with Hyga at his feet. "<span style='color:green'>Um...hi. I was just looking for him, I'm sorry if I bothered you.</span>" She gestured to Hyga, sending the cat a "you did this on purpose" glare.
Corvus grinned, "Oh, it's no trouble, I just didn't expect to run into anyone." He rolled over on the log and propped his head on his fist. "So what brings you to this part of the woods? I didn't think anybody lived out here." his long headfins twitched outwards slightly as he raised his eyebrows.
"<span style='color:green'>Um...inspiration.</span>" Numi grinned sheepishly, glancing down to see Hyga curled up again with a self-satisfied look. Giving him another half-glare, she turned back to the arden.
"And have you found it?" the young pendragon asked. "Inspiration, I mean..." He cocked his head to one side inquisitively. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Sorry about the gap, got buried in homework.</td></tr></table>
