|:| O O C |:| This is the continuation of "The Wailing Star" and is for Niasha and Barbora, though I'm sure that if someone would really really want to join, it'd be OK.

Day: 3 (morning)
Month: Tessera
Year: 81377
|:| I C |:| Ronnica stood on the crest of a low hill, a dune of some sort, as still as a statue, only her scales creaking softly as the hot desert wind blew over them. Her back was shielded by the last traces of jungle-forest which she had just left. Even now, the pale female could hear the faint sounds of twigs snapping as her friend and companion, Xela, cut and battled her way through the slithery vines that choked the tree trunks, their long green fingers threatening to strangle every traveler that might come across the almost invisible path. Ronnica lifted her head. Her brown eyes narrowed into muddy slits as she surveyed the surroundings with highly noticeable distrust. This was her first time in the machina ruins and she wasn't enjoying it. Even though they hadn't realized it, the path had brought them - under the cover of leaves and branches - quite far into the large complex of the ancient city. As the pale female looked around, all she could see were rusty remains of the once powerful machines, covered by orange sand. The city of the dead, she thought with a sigh and her lights lifted themselves skywards, searching for the speck of black that had led them here. She could not see it. Panicking slightly, the daughter of Vox scanned the remaining landscape. With relief, she spotted the black bird sitting on a far-off object, some building or other which could have served as a garage as well as as a restaurant in the past. Broken windows gazed blackly down at the pendragon, and she couldn't help but shiver a little. The wailing star had long since set and it was getting rather hot out here in the open. Ronnie blinked away the particles of dust that had blown into her eyes. Why did she care at all whether two or more worlds got mixed together or not? Why? The female gave herself a pinch, shuderring with the thought of all those legendary beasts she had heard about. No, that would be very bad. And no one knew of the danger except Xela and her. She could feel her companion stagger out of the forest shade into full sunlight. Ronnica walked over to Xela and stood next to her, her smile wiped away from her lips. Strange, a friend. Usually she would never consider calling someone "friend" until they had known each other for a long period of time. But this was different. The two pendragons had saved each others' lives, and now they were tied together through a mission and a dangerous secret. Yes, they were friends. Even though she had not said a word about it, Ronnica had grown rather fond of Xela. But the recent events had brought Ronnie's otherwise endless flow of words to a sharp stop. A dam. The fog-colored pendragon was quiet, and she knew why. Stress. Responsibility. Fear. Strain. All of this weighed down her young shoulders and she pressed on, angry at herself because of this burden. But it was probably inevitable. At least she didn't feel like cutting her veins. Not just yet, anyway. "Why did this city wither down?" she asked, emitting another sigh. The place was silent and mischievous. The rusty frames and concrete buildings were worn down with sand and wind. Glass-less paned overlooked this ghastly splendour, yelling out silent accusations. Ronnica Vox didn't like it one bit. And the black creature was still sitting there, in full view, mocking and daring them to come closer. In the distance, a damaged white building reflected the sunlight.
Xela finaly managed to escape the jungle's clutches. She came out panting but she held her breath as she looked out at the Machina ruins. Everything was old and rusted, each machine was older than the next. It seemed that no one had set foot upon these desert lands for thousands of years, which was probably true though Xela was not good at history. I'm not really sure though I think I remember reading somewhere that there was a great battle. This is my first time here and I can't help but say I was expecting more than... than this. Her tone was flat, she was angry at the fact that she had imagened such a great conquered city and had come to find something so different. The weight of whether or not the decision of comin here was right or wrong was pulling Xela down, she had been the one to propose the idea of following the bird. She stood straight trying to hide her struggle. The black beast stood high on somesort of building, preening itself in amocking way. Xela moved closer to it. Watching its every movement. slowly she dropped down the hill. Heading towards the building in which the bird sat. She came close but was afraid to enter, maybe the bird was just allowing them to rest. SHe was to afraid that she would be wrong, so she stood outside the building to wait for Ronnica to decide what to do. She was better at that.
She followed Xela down, to the foot of the house the bird was sitting on. She glanced up at it, and it seemed to wink back. Rubbish! she exclaimed quietly in her mind, Birds can't blink! And you call yourself Biologist! Her gaze, which had left the black creature unattended for a split second, zoomed back. But the animal wasn't there anymore. It had just simply dissapeared. Dissapeared! the pale female was forced to yell at herself for the second time in two minutes, Birds don't just dissapear, you stupid! It was just feeling bored, so it flew away. Ronnica gave herself another pinch and strode over to Xela, who was standing uncertainly in front of the gaping hole that probably used to be a door. Cool air hit Ronnie in the face as she made a step forward to peer around the frame. The shadows of a narrow corridor met her look, the end losing itself in the darkness at the end. It didn't seem dangerous, even though Ronnie couldn't count on a sixth sense. She had long since learned that even the slightest form of unnatural, of unexplainable, had given her a wide berth. "I guess we can go there. At least it's cold down there," she said slowly, flinching as drops of perspiration ran through her scales. The sun was quite hot, though for a desert it still had to be rather cool. Ronnica smiled. "Do you have a gut feeling that it's unsafe, Xela?" she said, looking interested but unsure at the same time, "'Cause I rot at things like this. I'd walk into the simplest trap before I have the slightest instinctive advice." Ronnica stood up on two hind legs, leaning her front paws against the cement walls of the building. Plaster dropped down from the wall, torn away by the lightest touch of her fingers. The pale female looked up and down the building. Like all around it, it was gray, red bricks showing where the top layer had fallen off. Dirty windows, some without glass, allowed the world to glimpse the inside of small, dusty cells, complete with strange objects lying haphazardly on the ground. Machine particles was Ronnica's guess as she stood on tippytoes and peeked into the lowest window, through its thick, rust-eaten bars. She dropped to all fours and shook her head. No one was around there. But she couldn't help but wonder. It was said that the mafia and various crooks made their hiding places around here. What if, in the bowels of this building, a gang was seated around a table, ready and capable of everything? On the other hand, what if there was a lab with a mad scientist in there, cloning warrits and other legendary beasts? It was just a risk that they could take.
Xela watched closely at Ronnica's every move, trying to sense any doubt, though she couldn't see any. For a long moment she stood quiet trying to decide whether they should go in or not. Her mind focused on only that principal. Her eyes wandered over the old building. She tried to find out what it had been used for though the only thing that crossed her mind was some sort of jail because of the old rusty bars on most of the windows. She follwed Ronnica and looked into the low window. It was dark and hard to tell one thing from another. Her eyes managed to see a few dark objects, though she had trouble announcing what they were. then her eyes fell upon a long thin shape lying on the ground, her first thought was a table in which the legs were broken but at her eyes adjusted she new imideatly what it was. A body, a skeleton body. HEr heart skipped a beat as she understood the truth and suddenly relised what she and Ronnica were about to do. They were on a dangerous journey, one in which they might not exactly live through. Now she was looking at what they might become, what might happen if they fail. Their bodies would rot with the endless feeling of shame for loosing, then a determined look crossed her face, now reaching her decision. Can you tell what that is on the ground, a skeleton, of 'dragons before us. I know we mind meet unfrienly fellows in this..building but I feel it in my gut that we are destined to go in here. But incase something great awaits us we should enter trough the window to attack in suprise if we must. What do you think?
"OK," was her response, as she let the wall support the weight of her front paws yet again and peered into the gloom. And there, indeed, was a pile of bones, arranged on the ground. Pendragon bones. Ronnica shuddered, but then again, what could she expect? Xela was right, right, and right for the third time. And as if some great weight had been relieved of her shoulder's at her friend's decision, the pale pendragon could feel her talkativness retourning. It was strange infact, that at the tightest of all situations, in the middle of danger, one she felt as if she was ready to sit down and laugh her head off. Of course she didn't do that, but vented her thoughts on the flow of words that erupted from her mouth. "Right, we go there," her whole face lit up, "I'm rather glad that at least your instinct hasn't abandoned you. If we're destined to go there, we go right ahead. But it can be a question what exactly destiny is. Some pendragons believe in it more than others of course, like all things, I suppose, I, for example, never really rely on it, since I think that one's fate lies in their own hands. But sometimes, when you're just so, so tired of crafting and sculpting your own life, it's nice to sit or lie back for a while, letting destiny carry you for a bit. Then again, there are some despos who sit back doin' nothing, waiting for stuff to fall from the clouds and for their so-called destiny to do everything for them. Now, that's probably not the exact way to do it, and none the less is blaiming bad luck on destiny, right? But we're not doing any of that right now, we were set in front of a choice, if it was a choice, that is. 'Nyways, we've decided to go ahead, so I should..." She paused looking puzzled and a little embarassed, her head in mid-shake, "So I should probably cork my mouth and take action! Yay!" With unexpected vitality, the female launched herself into the air, catching hold of the bars that held the lowest window from falling out. Rusty powder trickled from under her digits as they clutched the cage, and Ronnica was forced to find another place to hold on. Yet she managed and soon was sitting on the window ledge, trying hard to keep balance and to break the bars at the same time. She concentrated on a weak spot, then aimed a blow at it. She bit her lip as the scales contacted with iron hardness, and withdrew her paw, numb with pain. Yet her aim had been achieved; two or three bars were shaken out of the dusty concrete they were set in, thus enabling the girl to pull them out and throw them away, jumping nimbly into the room behind. Her paws made footprints in the layer of dust coating the floor as she took a few steps forward and sniffed the skeleton. It must have been here for ages. Well, at least it spoke of no immediate danger. The air was cool inside, stirless, flakes of dust floating in mid-air. Ronnica cocked her head to one side, listening for any tell-tale noise, but none came. This building was as quiet and eerie as a tomb.
Xela watched Ronnica as she babbled on about in great excitment about destiny. xela tried to keep her mouth shut though sometimes through the long but interesting speech her mouth dropped open at Ronnica's seemingly sudden change. All that Xela could mumble here and there in response was Err...right! Whenever she understood what Ronnica was saying. Honestly Xela believed in what Ronnica said as well as her own theory. As Ronnica worked on getting through the window Xela explained her theory of destiny. Well I'd say that your principals are right and that your theories must have something similar to the truth. I traavel alone a lot so I always have plenty of time to wander through what my imagination can come up with. I eventually figured out that destiny is something you can't change. If you were going to drink Coke Cola (can't think of drink that 'dragons eat = ) but you wanted to change your 'destiny and drink water your destiny would be the same as before. Because your destiny planned for you to change your mind like that. THat is what I think destiny does. When she saw Ronnica managing through the window she soon followed. Stepping silently onto the dusty ground of the old building. She followed Ronnica to examin the skeleton. And manged to get a whiff of it before she moved off to explore the rest of this small room. Pieces of machinery lie screwn across the floor as if one was trying to leav in a hurry. Xela walked with her back haunched so that she could jump away if needed. she her a soft crunch under neath her paw. she bent down and brushed the dust off the part where she had heard the crunch and found an old necklace. Made of some sort of tooth with beads between each tooth. She walked to Ronnica and showed her. I accidently stepped on it, it was hidden under the dust. THere probably is more stuff that could be of use under this layer of dust. Do you think we could stay and look or should we leave and get to business, something interesting might here but maybe not.
"Right right," the cloud-hued female replied, turning bits of machinery over with her paw, "That sounds right, and you've got a point there. Only I've thought of this under the name 'Fate'. D'you think Fate and Destiny are the same thing?" She ran her fingers over the walls, finding nothing but solid stone and concrete. Dust fell of the walls as she touched them, some of the powdery substance finding its way into her eye and causing Ronnica to bend over and dab at her orb with the knuckles of her digits. She heard a crunch behind her and swivelled around, just in time to see Xela picking something up. "Hey, show me!" she ordered playfully, and trotted over to her friend. She looked at the necklace with interest, touching it and letting it flow between her fingers. Then she let go of the tooth-and-bead jewel and gave the room a wide sweeping look. "I don't know if this necklace could be of any use," she retorted, "But it sure is pretty. Yet who knows, it may be doomed or cursed or magical and turn you into a toad if you put it on. I think we should stay and look around a little, just rest for a small while and see what we come upon. Like this itty bit," she said, lifting a dusty iron ring from the floor and holding it in the light, "It's pretty and shiny. It's even got a fake diamond set in the middle! Why, it could be a ring of invisibility!" Ronnica twirled the circlet between her fingers and gazed at it, enchanted by the metallically smooth surface. Hey, what if I just try it once? she thought to herself, forgetting all the warnings about unknown things. She slid the ring on her index finger and smiled when she didn't feel anything change. "It's just an ordinary ring after all," she smiled at Xela. Little did she know that to everyone except herself, she was invisible.
Fate, well I don't know I have never really thought about it, but now I will eventually start since you brought it up. I bet there s some sort of opinion that states that destiny and fate are the same or are diffferent. I'm sure what my thoughts are on this one.[/B] Xela listened to Ronnica's explanation and understood the desicion. Glad to stay for she felt that they needed something in the old cell of a room. She watched Ronnica scoop down but turned around before she saw well not really saw, only wwell heard Ronnica say her words. I guess what I mean is she didn't know about Ronnica's invisibility. (got confused = ) She knelt on the floor carefully pushing the dust from the ground clearing a space. Markings were carved deepply into the solid ground. Xela turned to show her dicovery to Ronnica but saw no one. Ronnica? Where are you? .....This isn't funny! Show your self! Anger was building up inside herself as well as fear and confusion. Her eyes passed over where Ronnica stood but she saw no one. She was alone in a place where she had not yet been. She was scared. she ran to a corner and sat her back leaning against the connecting walls, watchful eyes awaiting danger.
|:| O O C |:| Uhh, Ronnica has a ring of Invisibility on her finger. She is invisible to everyone (so Xela can't see her either), but she can see herself. However, she has no idea about this, so she thinks that everyone can see her as usual. |:| I C |:| Ronnica saw her friend cower in a croner, face full of confusion and anger. She chuckled, feeling cozy and happy. How nice of her friend to pretend surprise! To pretend that she actually couldn't see her. Great! Ronnica couldn't hold it anymore and she burst out laughing. "Xela, did anyone ever tell you what a good actor you are?" she asked, her voice dancing up and down of the spirals of chuckles and giggles, "Why, if I didn't see the rest of my body, I'd believe I really am invisible. You play it really well. But come on," she walked over towards Xela, leaving a trail of footprints in the dust, "everything has its limit. You look totally freaked out, girl! Don't get me worried!" Ronnica took a playful leap and patted Xela on the shoulder. "See? I'm here, I just patted you on the shoulder!" the pale female cried out joyfully, a smile plastered across her face.
OOc: ok! IC: Xela watched closely around her as she heard Ronnica's voice and after Her friend was done she understood what was happening here. She noticed the footprints slowly forming on the dust and coming closer and closer. She also felt the light tap on her shoulder. Ronnica, you are invisible! You might be able to see yourself but I can;t see you! I'm not acting it out you are really iinvisible. And you put on a ring right? Well that must make you invisible. Take it off and we will see. she waited looking at where she thought Ronnica was wating for a 'dragon to appear.
"The ring, you're saying? But I didn't feel anything," grumbled Ronnica, twirling the iron jewel on her finger. "And I was just joking about it being a ring of invisibility... The odds are like impossible that that would - could - be true. But if you really think so, why not. It's not as if i couldn't give it a try." The pale pendragon tugged at the circlet, pulling it away from her finger and holding it in her palm, letting the sunlight flicker on the diamond set in the middle. She had not felt any change, but to everyone else - though she didn't know, of course - she had appeared out of thin air. "Can you see me now, Xela?" she asked, mischief in her eyes. She extended her arm towards her friend, the ring in her palm shouting to be picked up. Ronnica cocked her head and took a step towards the blue-black pendragon. "This is the ring..." she said slowly, regarding the jewel with an amused look. "Why don't you try it on as well, to see if you dissapear?"
She listened to Ronnca's voice waiting for it's body to appear. When it did she could not help but let a small sigh of relief flow from within her. She watched Ronnica examine the stone set in the ring thinking about what powers the necklace that she had found might have. When Ronnica handed her the ring she reached for it after a small battle inside her mind at whether it was safe or not. She slipped the silver jewel onto her claw and waited. She saw her body normal but now understood that she would see her body but no one else would. Though to one either than herself Xela was slowly turning a slightly seethrough milky white, she looked like a ghost and would be in the minds of those who didn't know what powers the ring had possesed. She stayed that way not going completly see through but looking scary just the same. OOC:uh...well I waz thinkin that the ring only makes one invisible depending like on their type, elf, whatever u know what I mean? so for Ronnica she turns invisible, for Xela she turns into a 'ghost' ok?
|:| O O C |:| That's a good idea! Originally I had another idea for the ring, but this is way better. Cool |:| I C |:| Her eyes stayed glued to Xela as the black-and-blue pendragon changed. Ronnica's eyes nearly fell out of their sockets - she was staring so much. She stood rigid on three legs, her front paw raised in a half-step, an expression of disbelief on her face. As the pale milky hue overtook her friend's figure, Ronnica's jaw fell open. She took a step back, forgetting she was standing on only three paws, and fell to the floor in a tangle of feet and tail. "In the name of Tanastlestei!" she exclaimed after she scrambled to her feet as well, "Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh dear, dear, dear. Omigod, omigod, omigod..." She stopped the waterfall of expressions that dropped from her mouth, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes. She counted to ten in her mind, then opened her eyes again. But the faint shadowy being in front of her hadn't transformed back. "Xela, you've turned into a ghost!" she cried, her eyes wide in horror. "That's even worse than being invisible! It's not as if you didn't look cute - you do - but it's just... just freaky! Scary! And I mean that. You look like made of old white chocolate, only you're somewhat see through as well. Translucent! Or maybe like a pendragon made out of a muslin curtain. Eeek!" The cloud-colored female burried her face in her paws and turned away, gathering her wits again. "Please take the ring off..." she whined, not recognising her own voice, "You honestly scare the guts out of me."
Xela watched Ronnica's continuous change of expressions and wondered what she looked like, until ofcourse Ronnica explained. She slipped off the ring and handed it silently to Ronnica. You found 'suppose you keep it. She walked around the room hunting for anything but she couldn't find anything worth examining. As she walked the one thought that yet had been defeated by other thoughts was what did the necklace do? It must have some sort power but then she came to her senses. Don't be stupid that necklace is just a priceless jewel...or maybe its worth something...STOP it, you are making yourself believe in something that isn't really there, besides no way you would find something magical 2 times in one day thats just...just wierd. SHe felt the necklace in her grasp and dropped it into a small pouch around her waist. it might be useless but I should keep it anyway. OOC: thanx for your help! but anyway I was wondering...uh... do have any plans for the future in this? cause im brain dead
|:| O O C |:| I'm so sorry about the delay! School got the better of me XD. Yup, I've got a faint outline of an ending. I'm not going to tell you just right away though, I don't want to spoil it. A surprise .:evil grin:. Nope, just kidding. It's going to turn out less complicated than it seems now. |:| I C |:| "As you wish. It will certainly come in useful sometime, especially around this place. As long as there's no dust on the floor, I can surprise any dangerous-looking fellow we might happen across," said Ronnie, taking the ring from Xela and holding it in her fist. She examined the pouches that hung on a string around her neck, filled almost to bursting with the pendragon's healing supplies. One never knows when you might need kjatt leaves or the flower of a saltrose. Ronnica picked the pouches up, one after another, and opened the drawstring to peek inside. "Ah! No free space," she cried out, frustrated, "I could only put it in the pouch with onuie twigs, but they shrivel up and snap in half when they touch metal. And though I'm sure this is no ordinary metal, I'm certainly not ruining the onuie. They are quite rare to find, you know. Oh! Here goes another potential hiding place!" The gray female noticed one last pouch that took part in her "necklace". This one was half-empty, and Ronnica slipped the ring inside once she chekced its holdings. "Gems," she explained, fingering the small beads that moved noiselessly inside the small bag, "I use them for trade if I ever get stranded in a city. They're quite popular with pendragons at Janardan." "I think we've looked around enough," she continued, giving the room a sweeping look, "We should probably move on - I'm not sure I would like the next thing we might come across here." She gave an involuntary shiver, taking a step towards the door. She pushed it open a little and looked out, a long corridor meeting her eyes. Steps descended into the gloom at one end, while the second ended in a barred window not unlike the one they had broken through. Doors without handles were set into the walls at different intervals, silent witnesses of the crimes that had taken place here.
OOC: thats ok, well ok good cause i have no ideas at ALL! IC: Xela watched Ronnica rumage through her pouches until she found one emty enough for it to fit in properly. SHe followed Ronnica to the door and peeked outside then stepped into the dreary hallway. She looked on either side deciding to go to the opposite side of the window. As she walked down the hall would peek into each door only to find a room similar to the room they had first entered. Well, all these rooms are the same... what do you think we should do? When she reached the stairs she paused not wanting to go down alone. She waited for Ronnica to catch up. Once she did she headed down the steps her claws clicking as they hit the cold hard stone.
Ronnica followed Xela, descending into the gloom. She felt cold stone against the pillows of her paws and heard the soft clicking of her friend's claws as she walked down one step after another. Small windows, barred and glass-less were set in the wall at irregular intervals, letting in sunlight and rust-colored sand. Both of these two elements streamed over the ground, coloring the dark stone gold and orange. Light sand lay stretched out evenly over the floor and puffed up in little clouds as their paws disturbed its smooth surface. Soon the steps gave way to a relatively even corridor, similar to the one above, yet way darker. Ronnica noticed that there were no windows now, the only faint light was being cast by a hole in the ceiling far ahead. Beyond the furthest flicker of sunlight, darkness descended like the veil of night. Only there were no diamonds of stars sewn onto it, only humid, stale and black air. Ronnica stopped as soon as she couldn't see where she was going, bringing her had to the wall and groping around blindly for some kind of support. "Uh, Xela, you still here?" she asked uncertainly, "I can't see the tip of my nose. Just black. I mean, it's a question if I can see the tip of my nose even in broad daylight, I've never actually tried. Maybe it's because I can't squint. I could never do it, even when I was very small. My friends used to tease me a little because of this inability, but I backfired at them that I at least wasn't ruining my eyes. Oh, I don't know, I suppose I could theoretically see the tip of my nose if I really tried. No point in deciding right now though, now I can't see anything. I could close my eyes and it wouldn't make any difference." After a small pause, Ronnica finally found some kind of depression in the wall and dug her fingers into it, inching her feet forwards. She wasn't very keen on falling into some pit, so she tested the footing thoroughly before applying her weight onto it. "I guess we should just keep on moving until we find the exit," she muttered into the air behind her, prodding the ground in front of her with her toe.
Xela listened to Ronnica blabble nodding occasionally but she wasn't really listening. She was too busy trying to find away out of the thich blanket that had wrapped its quilted squares around them. I can't see anything eaither. It feels as if...we're...well...dead, doesn't it? Anyway if you find any sort of exit or a light tell me please. I don't want to stay in this place for too long. Her paws groped for nitch in the wall for where a doorway would be. Though as sh looked, or felt rather, she coldn't find anything. and plus what would be the use if they did find an exit wouldn't it be as dark as this? If so they would b wandering around in cirlces. Plus surrounded by this...this...poison.
|:| O O C |:| There's no excuse for me now. I am so sorry for not replying, and I've been stupid not to come earlier... I'm really sorry Niasha, I mean it. .:bangs head into a wall:. |:| I C |:| Ronnica nodded, then realised the sillyness of her slight movement, Not that Xela could see, after all. "OK," she muttered into the darkness behind her and started moving yet again. It felt peculiar. As if she was suspended in space. Rubbish, Ronnica told herself indignantly, Here's the wall, and you're holding to it. We're under the machina ruins, so there's no way we could be suspended in nowhere. But just as she finished talking to herself, she lost her grips on the wall. "Argh!" Ronnica gasped, groping around blindly, panicking and trying to find the wall, but to no awail. Then her footing gave way and she was falling, falling down... Her shrill cry of horror died as her limp body struck something soft. Soft? When one falls into a pit, they usually don't land on soft things. Ronnica had screwed her eyes shut, but now she carefully pried one open and peeked out, looking around. She was lying on something soft all right - some kind of an oversized jelly, though it wasn't any near to being sticky. And it was surrounded by bars. Bars. A cage. Ronnica blinked in surprise and opened both of her lights, glarinf through the iron bars that separated her from the room she was in. Then her heart gave a leap, for she was standing... the cage was standing... in the middle of a laboratory.
OOC: it ok i havent been postin often much either, dont worry about it IC: Xela walked quickly her paws leaned against the moldy wall her eyes were now of no use for blackness had consumed her and her eyes were not that skilled. It was as she was wondering what had become of Ronnica that she heard a scream and soft clump on the ground below. She began t get nervous, no one there to tell her what was going on, no one explaining what to do, she was alone, sadly and untterly alone. She had to help Ronnica for she didn't know if she was hurt or not. She suddenly dropped to the ground and bgan to crawl back in the direction in which she calculated that she had come. Her paws groped for some sort of hole big enough for Ronnica to fall through but not finding anything. As she groped and searched she finaly found the hole, but as she was about to enter and question to see about Ronnica she heard a loud clanking of boots on the dark stone floor. She looked back, a small lantern began to bob slowly towards her. She backed up against the wall, diving behind a boulder as the darkness around her began to shrink back into light.
