Stepping out of the door Ramix walked across the heavily polished wood floors in his cave. Ramix's home was a very luxurious place with wall hangings depicting battle scenes or historic moments in his familyÂ’s history dating as far back as 300000 years. This cave had always been the abode of the Sun family and would be for as long as it was there. It was more of an underground palace than a cave and was kept clean by magical purposes. Ramix walked down a long hallway with a bright red carpet running down the middle towards what he called his doctors office but was in fact a large well-lighted room filled with every piece of surgical equipment every kind of medicine there was. To top all this off there was a back room connected to it that had all of Ramix's medical inventions he had ever made. Ramix looked from side to side at the artifacts and vases and plants that lined the walls of the hall. There was even a suit of armor that had been worn in a battle 10 generations ago. He sighed happily and smiled he loved being home. There hadnÂ’t been much time recently when he could just be at home and spend time in his lab (another large room devoted to Ramix's inventions) or sit in his chair and look over the surrounding jungle. When Ramix reached the door to his office he used a flow of air to push it open and walked in. Laying Selenity down on a cushioned bed he decided he would let the healing globe finish its job and let Selenity heal for the night. With that he walked back out into the hall and headed towards the dining room.
Sofia (OOC: no profile yet) noiselessly paced around the cave entry, carefully making sure she would stay unseen from any possible inhabitants. The time was about right. Following her sources, the cave should theoratically be empty by the time the moon had risen she would be free to complete her mission. Sofia was the perfect stereotype of a spy. She has Smallish, sleek, dark and possesed all the qualifications. Despite her young age, she had been well trained by the best of them all, the greatest Kiom that ever lived, the ultimate master of espionage ... no other but her father, Itrikate Argos. Sofia was determined and ambitious, ready to do anything for a good price. Half heartedly she had accepted this job, considering that theft was but petty jests in comparison to the real thing. Like all the members of her family, she was evil. or at least, she tried to convince herself that she was. Being from a line of evil masterminds she couldn't bu only be Evil. Twas in her genes. And yet, at times, Sofia did find herself to feel things that she shouldn't, such as gratitude or sympathy. She often scolded herself, saying that she must be cruel and pityless. It would take time to master her feelings, she had decided, but she would do it. She would become the evilest and cruelest spy of them all. The moon was high above, shining brighter than she had ever seen it shine. Nice layout, she thought to herself as she entered, lingering close to the walls, unseen, some rich Pendragon must live here ... It's beautiful, and so clean too. Oblivious of the carpetec walls, after all she was here on a mission, she began searching for what she wanted. She decided that what she needed must be in the brightly lit room ahead of us. Hmmm... Light? Either some callous pendragon lives here, or I am not alone. Using her magical powers she began projecting her mind into the romm, searching to see if any living sould was present. Two, there are two. though her mind was cast away, her body still moved and, unluckily, it began to zigzag slowly but surely, towards the wall towards the many vases. CRASH . sofia quickly sent her mind back and quickly cast an invisible spell, hoping that whoever was there wasn't too skilled in the arts of Magic. She sat down, frozen. She could run now, it was too late, her cover was blown. Darn ...
Seth had followed Ramix through the portal. Eager to get away from the academy. As soon as his paws connected with the hard polished surface of Ramix's floor, a wave of curiousity washed over him. Just the air that seemed to hang in the area seemed to be rich. Truth be told, Seth's own domain was rather well done out. Lavished with things that had been there for eons, but Seth still hadn't gotten around to examining them. Seth let Ramix walk away from him with Selenity as he turned in a half-circle, just looking all all of the interesting pieces. Everything was quiet too. Unlike his home. At the Dragyn household there was always noise. Someone was usually always home and in it's vast depths. Seth hadn't been alive at the time, but he had heard stories of when the Dragyn family used to reign. Those that could remember referred to those days as the lighter age. When the Graders had taken over, that light seemed to have been swallowed up. Seth didn't mind them at all, but he felt a little bit of resentment. Seth wandered off to the side and traced the edge of a small table with a paw. The urge to just touch things was overwhelming. A crash. Seth spun around, thinking that he had accidentally broken something. Yet nothing appeared to be broken... and the sound had come from another room. But Ramix hadn't been in there, had he? Maybe the coach had a pet or something. "Ramix?"
OOC: Yay, Sofia now has a profile ^_^ . BTW, nobody cares but I'm on holiday !! BIC: Still not moving and not daring to breathe, Sofia thought out her options. Run ? That would totally blow the cover.. Well It's blown already !! You're so stooopid ! You really think you can be a spy ? You can't even project your mind properly ! She heard someone utter the name "Ramix" and her brain automatically memorised the word, it may be important some day. I have to get out of here, slowly ... But she suddenly realised that noise had come from a room in between her and the exit. Darn Whatever happened, she must not be seen ... at all costs ! So she waited in the dark corner, still invisible.
While he was making the tea, pouring the piping hot water into the gold painted porcelain cups Ramix heard the crash and Seth call his name, so he stepped out into the hall. Looking down at the vase and then up at Seth he smiled. Many Pendragons were incredibly well skilled at using invisibility. Ramix on the other hand was incredibly well skilled at seeing magical flows and as it turned out this inparticular Pendragon must have forgot to mask her flows because they stood out like signal beacons. So Ramix being the polite chap that he was said. Well now youÂ’re just in time for tea. Would you like one lump or two? Or how bout honey? Some people like honey. I canÂ’t stand it much. It makes my throat itch. Ramix gestured Seth and the new comer to join him in the dining room and pulled up his chair that was carved to resemble a Jullad bloom the arms were made out of Uolan tree bark and were always warm to the touch. The table was a wooden cage shaped in the shape of a table and was covered with intertwining vines and flowers. The tabletop had a Quariss Stone carved in the shape of a sun with many rays spreading out from its sides. The stone was about a foot in diameter and swirled continuously with a deep blue shade. Ramix believed that the color of the gem has something to do with the time of year because it always seemed to repeat its colors every year. Ramix sat in the chair and poured an extra glass of tea and waited for the two Pendragons... Lying on a bed was Selenity's body practically lifeless. However the complete opposite was going on inside her head. Selenity was being taught her 12th lesson on summoning a daemonic creature and battling with it through a telepathic link. Conalin had beaten her creatures with ease every time and she was bent on beating him for once. Conalin was standing across from her with a glint in his eyes the only way she could pass this class was to overpower his monster and proceed to attack Conalin. She had spent hours the night before thinking up a monster to attack him and she had finally figured out how to do it. With a whirl of fire Selenity created a 5-foot tall demon covered in claws and spikes but it had small legs allowing it to jump with incredible speed. Conalin closed his eyes and a mist appeared in front of him it floated in one spot and had a green tint to it. Selenity made her demon lunge at it spouting fire and swinging its blades but upon contact with the green mist the demon disintegrated. Slowly, very slowly you could see the flesh begin to boil and chip away. As the creature stood suspended in mid air its muscles crackled and broke away from the bones and the bones slowly turned black and eventually turned to dust. All this time the creature was screaming and wailing. Selenity had no pity for the creature dying before her she just stood there watching Conalin's closed eyes with pure hatred. She vowed to show him someday somehow... As the last chunks of charred bone and dust hit the ground Conalin opened his eyes only to be stared at with the fury filled eyes of his student. Rage was good if you had rage you could be the greatest and she had more rage than anyone Conalin had ever met. He realized that someday she would overpower him and that is when he would flourish and gain his true power. But, not until then. For now all he could do was watch the flames rage inside Selenity's eyes and leave her to what she had learned.
Sofia just stayed still, wiating to see what would happen next. One pendragon, presumably the one who had called somethign or someone "Ramix" entered the room, soon followed by an other who Sofia decided must be Ramix. She almost jumped out of her skin as she heard Ramix address her. How was it possible? She had done everything right, she thought. She had cast the spell properly ... Yes .. Masked the flow ...Had I ? She felt like killing herself as she realised her novice mistake. How could she ?! She eyed Ramix suspiciously as her brain registered his words. He must be experienced in the arts ... She always refered to magic as "the arts" like everyone in her family. What? he wasn't going to attack her, hang her or at least scold her?! She knew some who would have ... She was lucky. Knowing that her spell was useless andthe exit unreachable, she destroyed her spell, now fully visible to any. He doesn't want to fight? So be it ... I will play along .. Putting on her most fragile and shy voice she sweetly apologised, acting as though she was the most ashamed pendragon ever, masking her true feelings. - Oh ... I do apologise, i realise that this beautiful vase must have been precious to you, I pay thee, tell me how I make up for it? I feel terrible ...Absolutely terrible... no, really i can't accept your tea.. after what I've done... She looked as thoughshe was about to cry. Hopefully , she thought, That might do the trick ...
Seth's eyes darted about the room. Someone else was here? But... Seth shook his head as he realized that the pendragon had been sneaking about invisible. As Ramix started to lead on about tea, Seth became confused. Usually the pendragons that he knew wouldn't be so docile about strangers just appearing in their domain... but it was obvious that Ramix felt completely comfortable with his surroundings... Seth shrugged slightly and then followed Ramix quietly into the dining room. "Tea would be great." He said, trying to be equally polite. Truthfully Seth didn't really have a taste for such a thing... but when you're offered something in someone else's house, it's a little bit hard to refuse. So instead he just forced a smile. After all, this was better than school. And with this stranger... now visible to the eye, and her words... Seth felt certain that this wouldn't be just any average cup of tea. He turned his head, long bladed purple hair flopping to the side of his face with the motion as he looked at the stranger. "I'm Seth Dragyn. Who might you be?"
Sofia was now sitting down, carefully admiring her surroundings. She was now looking at the old tapestries, the many vases ... As well as trying to find what she had come for. She awaited Ramix's response, but got Seth's one first. - I am Sofia Arnarera, of Boreios Sudesha. She lied politely. She continued exploring the room with her eyes, but realised that Ramix - or Seth, were probably looking at her and that staring so much would not go unnoticed. - Nice dwelling... Beautiful tapestries. Would this one represents, perhaps, your family during a battle scene? You see , she said justifyin her interest, I am an apprentice in Arts (drawing), and thi is a real beauty. Please do tell me the name of that who made it. . She said, full of feigned awe.
Ramix smiled and pointed at the tapestry when answering to Sofia which was a very historical moment indeed. it depicts the time when my great great great great grandfather, Yawit had held off the entrance to the Sun home from a hord of daemonic beasts. These were sent to kill the next born in my bloodline where as to siece the Sun family name. as manny know the Suns may only have one child per generation and killing the child would end our bloodline for sure. The Pendragon who had sent the army against Yawit was a well known and feared Daemonic necromancer named Conis Fristone and at the time he surpassed all other pendragons in his knowledge of daemonic arts. But as the story ended up Yawit defeated the daemons at the cost of loosing his right front leg and later loosing his life to a magical desiess that came with the wound. that suit of armer you saw out in the hall was his and the blade he has on his right paw is called the Sun Ray and it was taken by the necromancers son when Yawit wa injured. of course Yawit managed to kill the necromancer in the battle but it was Conis's last ounce of striength that took Yawit's leg. shortly after his death Yawit's wife Juaya created the tapestry in his honor. But enough about my family's history lets hear about some tales you two might have. With that Ramix took a sip of his tea and waited intently to hear a story.
Sofia had been listening intently, and now looked awe-stricken. - Wow, you do have an interesting history. I wish I had such an interesting tale but I fear mine is not as colourful and full of heroism. She then began her tale in ramathian. Seth listened to Ramix's tale. Well he tried to anyway. He couldn't help the fact that he had a short attention span, and even though Ramix spoke of bravery and courage, and a fight for what was right, Seth still found his mind wandering. But he tried to listen. You could give him that much. Then it was Sofia's turn. She chose to speak in the elder tongue of Ramathian. It seemed sort of fitting. Her history had a sad note to it, and Seth found himself frowning slightly. The contrast between both Ramix's story and Sofia's made Seth's head spin. Set on two completely different ends of the spectrum, yet they related directly to the two pendragons that were with him. Seth gave a faint nod of his head, only then noticing the silence that the room was settling into. Now he guessed, it was his turn. "Well... the Dragyn's go way back. Sari and Thanos Dragyn, my grandparents, were the rulers of Ramath-lehi before the Graders took over. But you probably knew that. My parents are... yeah. I'm the youngest out of twenty-one kids. Most of them are dead though..." Seth said, trailing off into silence.
Ramix smiled takeing a nice soothing sip of his tea the fluid felt warm in his mouth and he could tast the multiple flavors of the herbs he had put in it. He loved tea, it always made him feel relaxed and happy. Hearing the brief family historys from both pendragons ramix saw an oportunity to offer a tour of his home Would anyone like to see my home? I would be glad to show you if you would like. With that he sat back and had another sip of his tea and looked at the other two.
Sofia hadn't really been listening to Seth, she had other things to do. She had been looking around, discretely, trying to find what she had come from, without success. When she realised that Ramix had offered a guided tour she smiled delightedly and was going to say she thought that would be a marvelous idea she just looked at him intently, sensing he had more to add. A guided tour, she thought, What better way to find what i'm looking for... She took a sip of the drink in front of her after having sniffed it silently to find that there was nothing dangerous in it, i had grown to be a habit. Out of the many herbs she could only make out the names of two, but nevetheless, she enjoyed the flavoured drink.
Seth's eyes widened in honest delight. A tour of this place? Meaning that there was more to see? Seth uttered a small and barely audible squeaking sound as he bounced a little at the prospect. Unfortunately the 'small' bounce was large enough for him to accidentally tip over his cup of tea. The strong herbal smelling liquid spilt, pooling into a large sticky puddle around Seth's paws. At first he looked flustered, then embarassed. "Sorry about that Ramix... I'll clean it up. I'd really like to see the rest of your home though." He said as he lifted up a paw and glanced down at the mess he had created. Yup. He was a Dragyn all right.
Sofia rolled her eyes as she heard the cup crash. She silently muttered a few words 'Nimg Muq' and the pieces suddenly slowly lifted above the ground, just above the table and came back together, the tea however, was lost and she couldn't do much about that. Sofia had rown up in a harsh environment where Nioties weren't supposed to make mistakes or be careless. Had sheb een in Seth's position a few years back she would have been locked up in a small room in the family cave for one whole day, learning spells by heart. Once repaired, the cup landed gently on the table infront of Seth. She feigned a smile and said happily: Yes, a guided tour would be perfect. Do you think i might see more of those wonderful tapestries? OOC: Woops I didn't see that the cup tipped over, and did not fall, sorry .
Ramix smiled as Sofia mended the cup and smiled even bigger as the natural house magic soaked up the tea into nothingness. His house was kept clean by a magical weave that was woven generations ago and remained to this day. Ramix drained his cup and placed it gently on its saucer and using a flow of air lifted all 3 saucers and flew them over to the washing basin. He then got up out of his chair and walked to the door turning around he said You will see many things important to me and my family With that he walked out of the dining room and started down the hall to the main entrance. Selenity jumped and barely managed to dodge the spinning metal disk engulfed in a purple flame and immediately after she did, it spun around for another pass. This time she ducked and it cut her bangs short but she paid no heed. She jumped up and seized the purple disk with a hyycthys and yanked it out of the air. Immediately after that Conalin came out of the shadows clapping paw on paw. Selenity tossed the rope with the hook and disk onto the ground and sneered. Conalin Smiled and said Well done Selenity you’re learning very quickly. You actually might start to impress me. Selenity then replied Yes well there’s a first time for everything Selenity was learning very fast and had almost caught Conalin in a corner in the last lesson and she was focused on doing it again. She had been working on a little trick for Conalin. A new spell she had made up all her own. It was a slave collar as she named it and what it did was allow you to inflict pain to the wearer by only thinking of it. The trick was to get the collar onto Conalin and she had made it so that she could use a magic weave as the collar to do that. Now she had thought about a way to keep him from taking off the collar and she had just figured it out the night before. Conalin was about to teach her a lesson on blocking out pain and taking a fatal wound and turning it into a scratch. This was a longer lesson than usual because it required Conalin to actually teach her how to do the proper meditation. Afterwards he would test her with a favorite beast of his it carried a scimitar blade and was called the Histachii he couldn’t wait to see how she fared from that beast. No Pendragon had ever survived one of its attacks and Conalin wondered would this be that so called first time for everything
Seth heaved a sigh, relieved that the mess he had made hadn't been turned into a huge ordeal. Had he done the same at his den... well his mother would have made him clean it up while twisting his ear. Seth smiled faintly at Sofia and moved away from the table. So the tour would begin! The flame upon his tail flickered as he followed Ramix closely out of the dining room. He should stay close... and try /try/ not to mess anything up.
Sofia followed, behind Seth, pretending to look around but, actually, waiting for Ramix to start showing them around. What she was loking for was definitely not in that room. She wondered whom the other pendragon she had felt was and why she, for she knew it was a female, hadn't come to greet, or, at least, acknowledge her. It was none of her buissness, she knew, at it surely had nothing to do with her mission. Yet, she was filled with that curiosity and eagerness to find out that had pushed her into becoming a Spy.
Ramix walked out of the dining room and into the hall he walked across the carpet to the door directly in front of him this led into the master bedroom his bedroom. It didn’t all look like a bedroom though it was more of a study, as it seemed. There was a bed yes but its massive posts and embroidered tapestry canopy were pushed to the far corner of the room. And a large table littered in papers was what took its usual place these papers were scrawled with formulas and instructions to making his inventions. Seeing as how Ramix has kept all information on everything inside his memory the papers were worthless to him they were just there as something to pass on when he died so that all his knowledge didn’t die with him. These papers were only recent discoveries over the past few weeks all of his other papers were cooped up in a dusty old cabinet, which was pushed up against the wall on the opposite side of the room from his bed. The layout of this room was, just like the rest of the house, a mirror image of the room across the hall. So it was a replica of the dining room. So just like the dinning room his bedroom opened up into another nice balcony. This is my room there is not much interesting in here those papers are the formula's for my inventions, that’s my bed and that’s about it. In the past this room was often the most ornately decorated room in the house but seeing as I have no spouse there is no need for it. Ramix then gestured for his guests to feel free about his room as he sat down and started to organize his papers.
Sofia gazed absently at the whole scene, thinking. - What I seek may be in here, yet it would take hours to search through those mounts of paper. Surely I will find the object itself and be able to make a rough description of it to my Master. Or even better, maybe I will be able to steal it... No, let us not be too ambitious. She smiled pleasantly at Ramix and said: - You must be a very intelligent pendragon indeed to write thiss much. She picked up a paper at random, carefully observing it. - I wouldn't be able to make anything out of this she lied sheepishly, I never really understood the concepts of all these physics. A lie again, for, though she had focused her studies on espionnage, she also had acquired the basic knowledg in most of the other trades.
