<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Who: Tlegcmys S58 Timestamp: Mia (Winter), 81381 Day: 36</td></tr></table> The sand in the rivers of Vivuli were so untouched, that whenever Tleg put even a striped toe down she sank slightly. She held out a webbed hand to the water with a smile, she was respectful to the waters; this gesture meant she was asking permission of the water, to swim in it. She was truly a strange one, even for and aquabat. She pulled herself up onto the bank and sat there. She was wearing tight fitting clothes, to keep the water from making it sag. She wore an amber tank top, and a pair of long, tight fitting indigo pants. With a flick of her long, powerful tail she dove into the water, as a challenge to the river. She began to swim upstream, it was work, this river wasn't slow, now was it fast, but the current was strong enough to challenge this aquabat. She wanted to defeat the river, but she foiled her own self, by getting her leg caught in a tree branch that was lodged in the river. She growled, and swatted at it, with no avail. With one yank of her leg, she dislodged it though. And sent herself reeling backwards from the shock of being free from both her's, and the branches' binds. She grunted as she was flung against a rock. She climbed out of the water wincing. " <span style='color:teal'>Okay river, you win this time. But I say you cheated.</span>" she said with a smirk. She decided, it was time to explore outside the water. She stood up and looked around, before turning, and heading inland from the river. She found a tree, and decided to climb it. Her tail spikes helping lift her into the tree. She looked out over the almost warm landscape, forgetting it was the season of Mia, and that any Aquabat would have to be insane to climb a tree, much less swim up a river during this season.
Black wings beat the air soundlessly as they carried a dark green pendragon male above the jungle's treetops. Gwenvyr closed his red eyes and relaxed, this was what he loved to do. He loved flying, especially above the trees of his homeland, the Vivuli Jungle. Sighing to himself, this was definatly the life, Gwenvyr Nightflame looked down to admire the view that his wings gave him. Looking down, Gwenvyr saw a strange sight. Was that an aquabat trying to climb a tree? Very strange, the dark pendragon had never heard of such a thing and was surprised to see it. Flying lower and closer to the tree he asked. "Are you all right? You look a little stuck in that tree."
She almost fell out of the tree, but steadied herself with her tail. "<span style='color:teal'>What would make you think I'm stuck? I climbed this tree on purpose.</span>" She snapped, sliding down. She glared at him, hands on hips. "<span style='color:teal'>Okay, so my species isn't meant to be climbing trees I know, but why does everyone think I'm stuck in the tree?</span>" She said, a little calmer this time. She took a deep breath. "<span style='color:teal'>Sorry for snapping, topics like that always get me riled up.</span>" She sighed. Then shrugged. "<span style='color:teal'>Oh well. Hey, I' Tlegcmys S58 of the S pack, how ya doing, and what's your name?</span>" She said, holding her hand out.
Gwenvyr shrugged as best as a flying pendragon could. "I dunno, maybe it's because you didn't look all that comfortable up in that tree." He was a little surprised by Tlegcmys' anger. "Nice to meet you, Tlegcmys. I'm Gwenvyr Nightflame." Now that she was finally off of the tree and back on the ground, he looked for a place to land. Sighting a slight break in the trees, Gwenvyr headed towards it and landed as gracefully as he could. Once on the ground with his wings folded to make sure they would not catch on a branch or something, or as sure as one could possibly be in the jungle, he walked towards her.
She sighed, shook her head, and shrugged. She never understood ardens, so confusing all the time. "<span style='color:teal'>Gwenvyr eh? Interesting name, mind if I call ya Gwen?</span>" She expected him to say no, because it was a 'girl's name', but hey, she could always be surprised.
Gwenvyr shrugged agian. His shrug worked a little better this time since he was not flying and his wings were still. "I guess, if you really want to I don't think I'd be able to stop you." He really didn't care what people called him, as long as it wasn't too strange. "So, how'd you come all the way here?"
"<span style='color:teal'>How did I come all the way here?</span>" She said on the verge of laughing, "<span style='color:teal'>You've never studied aquabats have you? We swim silly, I swam all the way here to tes the rivers for decent swimming.</span>" She giggled, this guy didn't know much about aquabats to ask that question.
No, Gwenvyr had never studied aquabats. Even so, he could have guessed, she did look she was made to swim. "Yeah, well not very many aquabats come this way. The jungle isn't much of a swimming place."
She nodded, "<span style='color:teal'>True, but oh well, doesn't hurt to try.</span>" She blinked, she'd left a bag by the river. She sprinted over and picked it out, rummaging through it until she found a pair of shoes, with a triumphant 'Aha!' she put them on. "<span style='color:teal'> Much better.</span>" She said.
