O O C: Who: CobaltThorn (moi) as Ravyn de Pujcmatt; Odi as Odium Jazz. What: Bhim gets boring after a while... When: Midday, Dyo 22nd, 81378 (year the fourth) Where: In a little beach on the Swaraj coast of Sagar, miles away from civilization. Whoop. Rating: PG-13ish Rav is in bipedal form. This thread is private, and until further notice, invite/PM only. I C: In Bhim, over the Black Market, the air was thick and smoggy. A green warm tinge lay over the air; the polluted miasma settled down through the fur of the city's citizens and clung to it, an oily coat. The machina and dirty ocean gave rise to fumes best kept deep in the guts of factories, and the damp heat just made it worse. Even the sharpest and keenest minds and knives in Bhim were dull and heavy, terribly soft and filed down by the whetstone of heat, misused by the hands of Dyo. All currently cursed enough to be in the city now walked with a stoop to their back. The crime rate was possibly the lowest in history, but the death toll climbed, for the air was now breezeless and toxic. Any Bhim resident felt the toll of the ascending, torturous summer. But not Ravyn de Pujcmatt. In the smoke-and-snow pendragon's field of vision was calm, azure water. Beneath his naked back was sand of the softest beige-white. On his body was the white, crystalline glaze of salt. Shining on every angle and curve on the male's body was the white-heat of the sun. In one hand the lithe male held a delicate glass of cold water, and in the other a knife. The sun made the blade seem almost molten, a shimmering, teasing mirage of white gold. It shone through the glass of water, casting bobbing lights upon the sand. Far behind Ravyn's lounging form was the pale-green grass of a dune, whose blades whispered softly with the incoming breeze. There was no fence, no KEEP OFF THE DUNES sign. There was only a path of sand, broken occasionally by brown dunegrass stubble, which ran off over the crest of the slight hill, and for several miles back to a small village. The wind rippled off the ocean, raked the water across the wet sand, slid smoothly across the beach, lovingly caressed Ravyn's body, and then swept past, sliding finally through the dunes, where the grass bent politely for it to pass through. That wind did not stir the fur of Ravyn, for the extreme saltiness of the ocean had dried on the black-and-white hairs, spiking them up with its sheer veil of silver-white. The scarlet-eyed, sharp-bodied male normally preferred to stay in Bhim, and mingle with his many aqquaintances and very few friends. He didn't know where-all his handful of lovers were; indeed, they seemed to have positively dropped off the face of Ramath-Lehi, but not after a bit of spitty fighting with Ravyn. He supposed he was single at the moment, but it didn't particularly upset him. Conflict and turbulence were something that always happened with him. Paranoia and unhealthy relationships were a staple, had always been. The salt-stained male closed his kohl-lined eyes and let the rest of the chilled water run down his throat. He set the glass down on the sand, and let the knife spin around the back of his hand. With a single motion he flicked his hand, and it shot into the ground. The way the sun swam across the blade, he almost expected it to explode into a puddle of silver lava on the sand. But it stayed there, worn black hilt poking above the soft silty whiteness. Ravyn, in his bipedal form, got up and stretched langurously, throwing his head back to the sun and squinting as it rained down upon him, a merciless beam of pure bleached-heat. His rather heavy-lidded eyes fell shut again, and he flicked a smart, whip-like tail before collapsing to the ground on his side. He just lay there for a moment, rubbing his cheek into the sand, and then sat up. With a yawn that let a bass mutter out of his mouth, he exposed his pearly fangs for a second and then curled up, one black-painted claw playing with his lower lip. The light was intoxicating, all-encompassing, utterly empty and meditative. But the water shone like a finely-cut sapphire, just at the corner of Ravyn's eye. Sighing, he sat up once more, this time simply rolling his shoulders. He wore naught but a pair of black cargo shorts tied with a scrap of neon-pink fabric, which clashed rather badly with his blood-coloured oculars. The male smiled, to himself, and his black-lined eyes flickered softly closed again. Then, he snapped them open, and, with amusement equal to a niotie at the beach with his sire and dam, strode to the water and high-stepped in.
<span style='color:gray'> Silky, white sanded shores stretched for miles, lined by thin and whispering spikes of green - course, yet beautiful dunes. A top one, not far from the male, a slender, bipedal feline silhouette broke the view of the high and bright midday sun, casting a long, thin shadow across the warm sand. Taking a deep breath of fresh air, a gentle grin curled up onto Odi's lips. Thick, uneven tresses of two-tone scarlet and jet-black blew wildy about in the gently breeze, refusing to remain tame and calm. Oculars of purest azure were directed straight out to sea, in awe at the gentle flowing movements. Hot rays of sunlight beat down on polar white torso, reflecting off of each individual hair, almost creating a soft glow. Bipedal limbs, duo-banded in the same hues as wild tresses, began to take a few paces down the grassy sand dune, eventually growing to a hault once again, when paws hit the level sandy surface of the warm, white beach. Feline-based femme was dressed in attire suitable only for such a beautiful beach - short but baggy black board shorts, dotted with large, exotic crimson-scarlet flowers, and a small bikini top following the same pattern. Stretching upwards, gaze was soon distracted from crystalline waters. There was another on this remote part of the beach? Bluest optics swivelling slightly to look at the other, feline froze in her stretching position. There certainly was another.. And a rather fine looking male, at that. A grin taking place on soft lips once more, Odi began to walk slowly towards the water once more, finally pulling her gaze from the other reluctantly. Thin, streamlined and whip-like tail, ringed at the base of her spine with another two bands of colour, and banded at the very tip, before the tuft, with two rings of silver, began to sway slightly, in an almost seducing motion. Making it seem as though she had not spotted the other, she began to stealthily stride out into warm, salty waters. Smiling lightly at the feel of warm water flowing around her trim torso, she continues to stride outwards until the water reaches just above her chest.</span>
Yawning spectacularly, his tiny cat's teeth (except, that is, for his front canines) glittering in the silver-drenched sun, Ravyn walked further into the water, relishing the perfect temperature, and the cool salty touch wending its way about his slim, toned legs. The liquid was perfectly clear, and the bottom, crafted of white sand and rippled beautifully by years of soft tide, was covered in the kaleidoscopic dance of the light singing to the waves. Ravyn heard the soft swishing of water the minute Odi lay her foot into the shallow breakers. He halted his progress into the ocean, now immersed to the waist in the perfectly blue-tinted water. He was still, listening to the sloshing sounds grow deeper and closer. Whoever it was was right behind him now. The jackalesque charcoal male lashed his tail underwater. It moved as if through jelly, floating lazily no matter how hard Rav pushed it. Eventually, it drifted up, the tip breaching the surface like some tiny whale's head, water fizzling and sparking around it. The blackened tail-end began to emit a red colour, and then a dark crimson tail-flame spat up, flickering and guttering violently. The steps of the femme (or at least, Ravyn thought she was female from her footsteps) grew closer, and soon, a pendragon with brilliantly pale fur and hot blue eyes walked about three yards to Ravyn's right, past him, and up to her chest. Her garments were black, splashed with lush red, a perfect counterpoint to her colouration. The male was in a playful mood that day, as it were. He hardly ever was, but his emotions and desires were so intense and varied that most had ceased to surprise him. So he let impulse rule him and slid into the water from the bottom, crouching momentarily with his head peering above the water, and then went under. His bloody crimson oculars opened immediately, shining with their almost-luminous colour just beneath the waves. The view wasn't blurry to the pendragon's sharp orbs. The water was warm as well, and pungeantly salty. He could taste it seeping through his lips, the healthy salinity of the ocean. His eyes were lazy and half-closed even beneath the waves, and he closed them for a moment as he dipped his head deeper, laying nearly flat against the sea-floor. Reverently, he opened them and ran one finger along the ridged surface of the packed sand, marvelling at the natural intensity of the ocean's features. He took his gaze away from the floor, and used his arms to push himself along the sand, feeling the sun's patterns trace themselves onto his back. He slid along like a javelin, except for the fact that his body rippled and went this way and that, curving along with the gentle baby-currents. His fur was now mobilized, and was teased by the waves that moved just above him. But soon he descended deeper, following the gentle slope of the seafloor with his eyes, as it descended into a richer cobalt blue. Before he knew it, he was at the feet of the alabaster feline form. It was in good time, as well, for his lungs had begun, after a minute, to ache for air. So he pushed off with his wiry arms, and surfaced. His wet black-and-white fur practically gleamed, and clung to every harsh curve of his magnificent body. His jaw, throat, shoulders, and chest were accented sharply by the highlights of this tropical weather. Ravyn opened his eyes, finding the female once more there before him. For a moment, he was silent, sizing up the femme and feeling the dice rolling. Friendfoelovercontactfoefriendlover, they sang, and he wondered what the turmoil or calm of their meeting would signal about their relationship later. Her somehow felt that he would see the femme again. In what context he knew not, but there had always been something there. His dark, raspy bass rang over the waves, skimming off into the blue like some sliver of shaved stone thrown there. "Hey."
<span style='color:gray'> Cerulean hued oculars had blinked for one moment, loosing site of the only other inhabiting the crystalline, sapphire waters. Could the handsome creature've spotted her, and swam for his life? Most likely. Perhaps her exotic flowery board shorts had frighted him off. True, she did always get peculiar looks when adorning them in front of others.. Whip-like tail swivelled and circled freely in the water, as though the thin line of pure muscle and short fur needed to exercise, the furry tip of cherry and night black surfacing with a small splash every once in a while. Duo-banded paws rise in unison, to adjust thin, ebon bikini straps, as legs alone hold up trim torso alone, moving in whisk-like motions. No sooner had the feline accepted the idea of her outfit blinding the other and frightening him off, did he emerge with a powerful force of moving water in front of her. Droplets flying from his dark fur in all directions, Odi lifted an arm to shield her bright, cobalt eyes. A grin creeping across her muzzle, ears perk up at the low voice of the other. Hey. Such a simple greeting. Short but sweet. That had always been one of the strange little feline's favourite phrases. Powerful hind legs still ploughing through the water in circular motions to keep her a float, Odi began to wonder why she had waded out into the water so far. Though not at all tired now - it wasn't difficult for a thin, 5'0" Pendragon to flow out of her depth. Smiling lips parting momentarily, soft gaze traced all that was visable of the male quickly. Tones friendly, she returned the greeting with one just as simple as the others - though hers of course not quite as deep. "Hi."</span>
Ravyn, a half a head taller than Odi, scraped the bottom of the sea floor gracefully with his toes, staying up by swinging his legs lazily through the water, and letting them touch the bottom occasionally. His beringed and bestudded ears flicked slightly, making his earrings glitter and gleam. He swept the water around him with his arms, stirring it into gentle whirlpools, and the bits of mica his claws stirred up flickered tantalisingly just below the surface of the water. The soaking sun had already dried his sodden fur, leaving it spiked once more into white-touched, touseled flicks. His white-furred belly almost glittered in the white-hot heat, and Ravyn dipped his head back, letting himself be swept away by the heavenly weather that was beating down upon them. He didn't say anything to Odi for a time, just letting the feeling of peace cleanse him of the city's darkness. "Almost too fucking beautiful to bear," was all he said, and didn't bother to indicate the atmosphere around him, though it was what he spoke of. Opening black-smudged eyes, he looked upon Odi. The white femme's arms were banded with red and black colour, he saw, same as her clothing. Her orbs were quite striking, he thought, and a half-smile played across his features, unconciously, and tiny porcelain fangs dipped slightly beneath his lips. His harshly-cut head turned out to sea, and the warm blue of the water was ever-so-inviting. Ravyn thought of a sandbar a good fifteen-minute's swim out, and smiled once more. Without a warning to Odi, he dove with a splash down into the cool water and opened his eyes, getting lost in the fleeting ghost-impressions upon the sandy bottom once more, and loving every second of the perfect temperature of the water around him. He scissor-kicked twice, sending him shooting out again over the floor, his body curving around it so as to streamline himself with the slope. After several more strokes, he crouched on the sand and kicked hard, shooting like a cork up to the surface and shaking his head vigorously, water sparkling off him like he was a porpoise, surfacing from a sea of diamonds, liquid platinum, and molten blue topaz. He spun his body about in the water, facing the femme 'dragon, who was now farther away. "Do you dare follow me?" he called mischeviously, and swam backwards, still facing the alabaster feline form.
<span style='color:gray'> Almost too fucking beautiful to bear. Smiling lightly with a small chuckle at the male's blunt words, Odi simply replied with a nod. The scenery certainly was beautiful - clear, perfect waters, flowing freely over warm, rippling white sand. Cobalt gaze lifting, and resting on the other, Odi couldn't help but realize that the scenery wasn't the only eye-catching factor of the area. His contrasting pelt of purest ebon and ivory was simply stunning, especially in the heavy, midday light. Watching his form float about with ease in the molten crystalline liquid, as though somewhat hypnotised by his appearance, Odi almost found herself sinking. He may be good looking, but that's no excuse to forget how to swim, moron. No sooner had a small grin curled into her features in amusement at her own actions, had the other dissapeared yet again. Well, she hand't frightened him off the first time - but what about now? He'd dived somewhere, as yet again, she was splashed by the consequences of his movements - this time though, she was not quick enough to lift an arm to shield her face. Muzzle dripping with liquid sapphire, and lips catching the strong taste of salt, a small laugh, caught in an expultion of breath, emitted from feline throat. Wiping the warm water from her eyes with her forefinger, she snapped off the moisture, a sly grin ever present in her features. Hearing the other surface some distance away, Odi circles in a swift movement in the water to face him. Two-toned hair of darkest black and cherry-red now drenched, and clinging to polar white face, one eyebrow raised in question at the other. An ear perking up slightly, hearing deep tones call over the water's surface, the small grin smeared over maw simply grew. Do you dare follow me? Oooh. A challenge. At this point Odi was certain. She'd definately get along with this one. Remaining silent, she judges the space of water between them both. A nice, straight swim - easily equipped for some impressive speeds.. Built for running, Odi's trim figure lay lined with muscles - which, she thought, would definately come in handy today, in these warm waters with a swift and speedy male. Directing one last, sly smile at the male, not responding to his querie, the trim bipedal feline copied his action - taking a dive straight below the surface of the water. Form swaying in an Earthen-based dolphin-like motion, body skimming the surface of the warm ripples of white sand, hind legs began to kick in a rythmic motion. The male's bottom half in her site, Odi continued at a faster pace, rolling onto her back when a mere few feet away from the other. Brushing the insides of his blackened legs as she passed straight between them on her back, Odi quickly rose to the surface, flicking her hair backwards to create an ever larger salty splash. Tapping the darkened male on the band with a duo-banded hand, head tilted innocently. "I never turn down a dare."</span>
<span style='font-family:arial'>Ravyn laughed as Odi's body swept delicately between his legs. As he he whipped around it became his turn to be sprayed with the glittering droplets. "I guess you don't," he said, treading water easily. The contentment on his face was apparent, his lazy infatuation with the warmth and wetness permeated his features. His head and neck remained comfortably above water, and his tail swirled softly through the liquid. At that moment, a hot wind started from the burning sands of the shore. It curled its delicate tendrils along the water, tickling Ravyn's hair, and a cloud passed between sun and earth. A soft light now bathed everything, darkening the deeper water a bit, to a darker, more azure blue. The beauty made Ravyn's chest hurt a bit. The male swum in place for another minute, eyes now wide open to take in the rarity of the combination of heat and darkness. Then, the shimmering miasma of sun was again upon everything, the dim gone in a fleeting second. Turning his blood-red oculars upon the snowy femme, he grinned and lifted one spiked, dripping arm from the water. He crooked a claw, beckoning her to follow again. But this time, he was crafty in his swimming as well. He dove well beneath the surface of the ever-deepening water and cavorted like a porpoise among the sunbeams. Since he was virtually devoid of body fat (a curse in the winter, in Bhim, at least, when warmth was a luxury) he had no problem arcing and curving his way deeper; he did not float up. After a few second's swim, he curved around in one whippish form and surfaced for a breath. Then, he dove below the water again, swimming this time directly towards Odi. In the manner of a whale calf, he flipper-kicked over to her, and twined one circle about her, the curving stripe of ivory fur on his back just barely brushing her own pale legs. Then he swam rapidly away from her. He felt the sun again creep behind a cloud, and the water darkened once more. Curling himself through the sea, he relished the cooler temperature. From the water, which was at the moment the same shade of indigo-washed jeans, whipped two little sliver-knives of fish, and Ravyn watched them for a moment, before his burning lungs protested, and he surfaced. Turning behind him, he looked for Odi's white gold form.</span>
<span style='color:gray'> Quietly watching the slightest of ripples on the surface of the ocean water to indicate where exactly Rayvn had been swimming, Odi wasn't really shocked to feel a layer of fur brushing past her shins. Smiling slightly, she then continues to watch the other's movements - feeling the numerous sweepings of clouds above, creating momentarily neutral temperatures. As the blackened male surfaced, Odi couldn't help but wonder what exactly he was playing at. Why continue beckoning her to follow him? And, why exactly had she been following him? A coy grin slinking across feminine lips, cobalt gaze flashes up for a moment, wathcing the next cloud head towards the sun to momentarily eclipse it. This time, upon following the other, she'd have a little fun. Practice these Vampiric skills of hers - becoming one with the shadows. Even from quite a distance away, Odi winked impishly at the other, just as the cloud of fluffly white rolled out in front of the sun, rapidly casting a shadow upon the waters. As the layer of darkness crossed over the snowy white femme, she vanished. No where to be seen. No sinlge droplet of water or faint ripple indicated that she had sank, or once more dived under water after the other. She was just, gone. Reappearing just as silently as she had vanished, Odi placed herself behind the male once more - at the very same moment that the fluffy alabaster cloud had continued along it's path, releasing the suns heavy rays again. Repeating her previous actions, remaining silent, Odi tapped the dark male on the shoulder once more - in the hopes of suprising him.</span>
O O C. I'm leaving tomorrow (Saturday) to go on a schooner. Gah. So, I won't be here 'till either Weds. or Tues. night. Per the records, this post will be a shortie. I C. Ravyn, a 'dragon who wasn't easily excited, now widened charcoal-lined eyes considerably, simply seeing Odi dissapear from the earth. He saw her trim bodice just a second before, smiling slightly devilishly, and then, suddenly... she wasn't. There was no rush of water filling in the space where she'd been, only sudden shadow across the sun. But Rav somehow wasn't nervous-- well. Nervous would be the wrong word to describe it-- more on guard. But the slim male 'dragon didn't even bother looking about. There was just a feeling that it was going to be all right. So he swam there, looking at the overcast skies and wondering... ...and the sun came out. Like the wink of an eye, a soft, slick hand touched his back again, and he turned about, face-to-face with the mischevious femme. And he realized, then, that he couldn't even place a name to her fine alabaster visage. He ran a cherry tongue across tiny spiked teeth. His chalk-and-stone pelt glistened in the sun, as he swam, and hovered there for another moment. "Call me Rav, by the way," was all he said, and he felt a strange affection surge through him, indeed, a stronger feeling than had pumped through his mind all day. He'd been quite apathetic, quiet, bathed in detached silver sunlight, 'till now. But now some strange combination of protectivness (which he felt scarcely), caring, and just a bit of lust was twisting through him. It was an interesting combination, certainly. He wanted to see where it went. So he grinned outright and kicked off again, seeing the golden sandbar loom in plain sight ahead in the water. After a few moment's hard, rough swim, he was there, scrabbling against the steepness of the sandy banks. Little stones cascaded about as he climbed, first from the water and then on the hot rocks, to the top. About three feet sand, silt, and little pebbles rose above the water. They were pleasantly hot, and Ravyn soon was sitting upon them, looking out again into the ocean for Odi. Suddenly, he wondered if they'd swum too far without knowing her name, her occupation, her type. But there was a hunch growing inside of him, a hunch that he'd done the right thing. He licked his soft black lips and raised his hand, seeing a blood-red spark ooze from his palm. It softly morphed into a playfully dancing flame, which he held palm-down, behind his back, as the white female followed.
<span style='color:gray'> <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Okay, have fun. Sorry this post is really short and crappy - but I'm not really sure what else to write. I think I'm havinga mental block - damn exams! ><;</td></tr></table> It seemed that the dark hued male, now dubbed Rav, was not at all spooked by her Vampiric use of shadow-merging. Excellent. No-one likes a scaredy 'dragon. A grin sweeping over features, Odi watches once more witha raised brow, as the gravel coloured Pendragon swam away from her. Watching with silent interest as his salt-tinted torso clambered up onto the band of hot pebbles, feet continued to circle in an egg-beater like motion, keeping thin alabaster figure floating. Before long though, Odi followed, legs kicking harshly beneath the water for added speed. Small form had less trouble of climbing onto the pebbled bank, body parts immediately relishing in the warmth rising from it. "Pleasure to meet you, Rav. I'm Odi." A hand was extended in greeting, the feline unaware of the dancing flame behind the male's back. </span>
Ravyn watched as the white female kicked skillfully through the glimmering water. Truth be told, he was still a bit uneasy over the femme's sudden dissapearance, but he did not let it show through his features, which were their same old shades of lazy calm once more. Still the bloody crimson flare was spitting in the loving palm of his hand behind his back, just in case... As Odi climbed upon the hot stones, Ravyn found himself wondering what the hell he was doing here, salt-soaked in the drunken sun, leading an unknown femme on behind him, and just generally being an innocent prat. But then, being an innocent prat was the freshest fun Rav could think to have on a day like today. But still, his sense of magic was fizzling through his veins. Not... in a particularly bad way, or even a way that pertained to actual magic. But time, space, or both were stretched in a peculiar manner around his new aqquaintance, in such a form that Ravyn had never encountered before... but there seemed to be an explanation still availible. He decided to wait and see about it; see if it revealed itself naturally. The snowy cat-femme was now up upon the rocks, offering an outstretched hand as an introduction. Ravyn brought his hand out into the open, the little elemental ball flickering. With one flick of the wrist he threw it into the water, where it fizzed out only after sitting on the surface for a moment, like red-burning oil. The tiny bits of ash drifted down through the water, like pieces of paper falling through the air, zigzagging back and forth and eventually being swallowed by the deeper blue below. His now-dry hand clasped the she-'dragon's. No, Odi's. "The pleasure's all mine," he said instinctively. He may have been a savage little beast at times, but he knew to treat a female with respect. Not that his protocols had to be enforced with Odi... he somehow just treated her that way naturally. Official meetings done, he lay back on the rocks, stretching his lithe spine out langurously. "I didn't think you'd actually follow," he commented, tiredly and cheerfully, in his raspy voice. Raising his thumb and pointer finger to the sun, he squinted up at them, pretending to grasp the large orb between his claws. Letting a tiny spark grow between the points of his nails, he amused himself replacing the sun with a fluttering red spark. His eyes, true to the colour of the flames, closed, becoming tired of the glare of the glowing star. He lolled his head in the direction of Odium, surveying her lazily with intelligent, carmine eyes. He awaited her response like a lapdog for its milk. O O C. Ooh. Obsession. *snicker*
<span style='color:gray'> Bright, cobalt gaze watching the small ball of twitching embers fizzle slowly down through the deep azure waters, a soft and curious smile curled slowly into thin, snowy-white lips. Quite peculiar, was this male. He could control the flame, it seemed. Was this a gift? Or, did he too, train in Elemental Sorcery? Odi knew it was possible for such Elements to be tamed, but during her training, she chose to play around with the weather, focusing mainly upon lightning and electricity. Perhaps someday, she too would learn how to become one with fire. Lightly shaking a blackened hand, alabaster ears, lined inside with ebon and scarlet, perked up somewhat, listening to bass-toned vocals. Form remained sitting, legs outstretched infront of torso, folded over just at the ankles. Duo-banded arms remained behind her figure, body at and angle, leaning back on them. Thin, whip-like tail swayed quietly behind her body, the tip twitching very closely to Rayvn's head, in his laid-back position. "Well, as I said before. I never turn down a dare." Grinning slyly, gaze resided over the gently swaying waters. Smallest of waves laped slowly against the shore of the pebbled bank, in soothing, rythmic motions. Watching silently, the grin soon faded litle by little, into a content smile. The feline seemed almost in a trance due to the mobile ripples, fluffy tail tip therefore twitching ever closer to Rav's visage.</span>
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Rgh, sososo sorry. But, this morning was graduation so it's aaaall good. Finally, I'll have some time to play...</td></tr></table> Ravyn laughed then, a luxurious sound. He let that stay his only response to her voice, for he was turning his gaze upon the vermilion spark that resided between his digits. Ravyn's gift was not Elemental Sorcery, as it happened, for his connection was not with all Elements and Fronima, but rather with the base and core of Fire. The slim creature let the flare wink out then, leaving a slight sooty smudge on the white sand when he lay his hand back down. He turned his head towards Odi, only to have her alabaster tail flick against his muzzle. He sniffed in surprise and then bared his fangs in a playful, silent snarl; the faux-threatening glance fell away in a second, replaced by his same slightly tired and amused look. "It's a coincidence, then, that we're here at the same time, hmm?" There were miles of beach around this area, Ravyn knew, and it did seem like some strange sort of fate that Odi and himself were on the same little stretch. A wry smile curved his lips. Ravyn then, on an impulse, sat up straight. Tucking his knees in towards his body, he rested his chin on them and wrapped his shins in his arms, letting the sun beat mercilessly upon his back. "What is it you're here for? Or is it for nothing at all?" he inquired. He hardly was bothered that the stranger was there, but (though he was a laid-back beast) it did seem imperative that he knew. But perhaps she just wanted to screw around on the beach and loll about for six suns or so, as he did. Who knew? Who really wanted to know? He, for one, was happy to be alone. Alone and apart and laying in his own charcoal fur in the sun, the penetrating his pelt and drying on him like a second skin. But somehow, Odi accentuated and yet increased his blissful isolation. He wanted to keep her there, and yet to push her off the stones. But instead, he decided to sit, eyeing her ash-white physique from the corner of his eye, and waiting for her to speak once more.
