A lithe 'dragon lay under a tree sleeping. Next to her, a golden Trisk slept with it's head tucked under it's wing. Where she was, she was a perfect target to have something stolen. A bag next to her was filled with her stuff. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Across the way, a purple Anubi sat and sketched the picture of the beautiful 'dragon resting. He thought about going up to her and just, kissing her. She was so beautiful.
He slunk up behind the purple 'dragon, looking at what he was sketching for a moment. Nice sketch, but you ought to ask her permission when she wakes up. he said, his icy blue eyes watching the girl with a small half-smile. Beautiful, isn't she? he whispered, sitting next to the anubi. he looked at his sketch again. so, yer an artist, huh? lemme see that. Del said, tugging the pad from him and flipping through the pages, examining the pictures on each. He handed it back to the other 'dragon. those are very good. but i think your latest is best. he said, watching the girl sleep.
ACK!!!! the Anubi yelped when 'Del snuck up behind him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thi woke up suddenly and saw 'Del and the Anubi in the tree. Panik sqwacked Indignantly. Thi yelled. 'DEL!! WHATS UP WITH YOU AND DISTURBING MY NAP! she cried angrily.
Del grumbled, dropped out of the tree, and jogged the short distance to where Thi was standing. sorry... he said, bowing his head in apology. I didn't mean to wake you up... honest! he said, taking her hand quickly and kissing her before she could scold him again. will you forgive me? he said, letting go of her hand and opening his pack. there! he said, pulling a jar full of rose petals from it. he removed one, replacing the lid and putting the jar away. he closed his hand around it, mumbled a few short words and opened his hand, a huge billow of white smoke leaving a beautiful rose in Del's hand. He held it out to Thi. now will you forgive me? he said, opening his bag. I got a few blue rose petals, and a ton of sunflower petals, if you'd prefer... he said, frowning. he pulled a quartz crystal out of his bag. I've been experimenting with advanced transmutation on different materials... thats just a fancy way of saying that a change the shape or constitution of matter... so that if you had a small diamond, I could turn it into a large amount of coal. or, if you had a large amout of coal, i could turn it into a diamond, I suppose... but that wouldn't be easy...
she looked at 'Del and took the flower just kindof tunning out his ramblings, he seemed to do that alot, but then she noticed the Anubi was trying to make a hasty retreat. Who's that? She pointed at him and he froze sudenly as though he could blend in with the trees.
He got the feeling she wasn't listening. he didn't bother trying to continue with it. He turned suddenly, facing the escaping 'dragon. I dunno... he said, running a few steps the flapping his wings once, gliding about five or six feet off the ground. He folded his wings and landed in front of the purple anubi, turning around to grab him by the shoulder with enough force to keep him there, at least for a second or two. your name? he whispered, though not for reason of secrecy. He guided the anubi over to where Thi was standing, pushing him until he moved as was wanted. now tell the lady your name... he said, stepping back from the 'dragon. he felt like playing mind games, so he quickly forged a fireball out of the air and began to toss it up and down, narrowing his eyes to ominous slits. He knew thi would be scolding him for it soon, but it would be too fun to see the purple 'dragon "squirm in the grip of fear" (so to speak)
The purple 'dragon began to stutter and freak and he could just keep his eyes on the fireball going up and down. He looked at it carefully before jumping out of the tree with a backflip and gliding away as fast as he could. He had left his sketchbook there behind him though. Thi looked at 'Del angrily.
oops? He said, waitning to be slapped on the back of the head. Er... now, now... no need to beat me up or anything... he said in mock fear. He knew he just sealed his fate. he would face the wrath of slapping and nagging all day. He snatched the sketchbook off the ground, turning to the drawing of Thi and thrusting it into her hands, scowling. you arn't supposed to have fans, you know. he said, grouchily. He turned to face the other way, wanting to make Thi guilty enough so she wouldn't be mad at him anymore.
Thi sighed and looked at the sketchbook and then back at 'Del. Throwing herself over his shoulders she looked at him and said "always with the guilt trip huh 'Del?" she asked innocently enough rubbing her hand in his hair.
always. he said, grinning and slowly sitting down. He was instantly pacified by his head being rubbed... like a dog. he turned, sat down, and pulled Thi into his lap. how has life been for you, Thi? he asked, nuzzling his muzzle into her neck.
