Where: Somewhere at the Mage Guild
Clothing: White t-shirt blue jeans and a pair of black sandals
    Time of Day: Noon

Chz sat with her face buried in her hands, at one of her favorite tables. She thought once more about what the Principle Hart Demori had told her. She sighed and thought out loud to herself, how am I ever going to learn how to properly control and use my pyrokinesis, if they donÂ’t even have teachers for it.

She sat there and wondered what she was going to do. Then a thought passed through her mind. Maybe Sejv could teach me. I havenÂ’t seen him awhile but, I have heard that he has been willing to help other apprentices out. She grinned and opened her backpack, and pulled out a pen and a piece of paper.

Sejv, I was wondering if you arenÂ’t to busy that maybe you can help me with my pyrokinesis. I found out that Janardan does not teach any of these classes. Anyhow, I am down at my usual table. Hugs, Chz She giggled as she reread it, the ending was silly but, she didnÂ’t care.

She looked down at the paper, which she carefully folded into a paper airplane. Hmm what is one way he would know, it was from me before he even opened it? She grinned and in the next moment, it was flying through the air, and through the corridors.

  2. Sejv was walking down the corridors when he spied a paper aeroplane whizzing around, at first he thought it was enchanted. But they way it stumbled around made it all to clear it was the work of a telekinetic practitioner. And few bothered to do such things, he grabbed the think and yanked it down from the air.

At first he would have never though of opening it up and if it wasnÂ’t for the writing on the wings he would have just scrupled it. So being the curious sole that he was he read it, he was quite glad too. It was lucky he had found it really, telekinesis wasnÂ’t a homing missile and she would have to guide it with her mind. She would have to do it by memory too since you couldnÂ’t see out of paper.

Once again the mighty menace had proved its power. Still he smiled thought, people seemed to forget that primarily the guild was a school and it did teach. Sejv actually took quite a lot of pride in his teaching too, always thinking of new and unorthodox ideas to expand someoneÂ’s view point.

He proceeded to march off down the corridors towards where he thought the thing came from, the usual table was a little vague.

  3. Chz sat at the table, staring off into space. She knew her location had been vague but, figured he would find her. She decided to raise herself and the table she was sitting at. They were both in the air, when she realized that the chair was about to drop. She looked down as it hit the ground. She thought, well at least it didn't break. She continued to float in the air, along with the table. She got the idea to put herself underneath the table, she concentrated and kept herself and the table steady. She closed her eyes, to keep the blood from rushing to her head, as she hung upside down.

  4. Sejv walking in to see Chz hanging upside down from a table like some bizarre fey bat, only she could possible attempt such a random event, still it made him laugh all the same. Though he didnÂ’t think it was a good idea considering she didnÂ’t care if thinks broke, plus concentration didnÂ’t last forever.

With a wave of his hand, wind magic wrapped around them and forced the to them ground but moved her around to one of the chairs, another gust picking up the other chair.

"Now, now Chz, breaking a table wouldnÂ’t look that great. And I got your message Mrs trouble." He said with a fake sternness in his tone, then ending it with a big grin and laugh.

She was nuts, but the highlight of the guild.

  5. Chz felt herself be turned upright and moved to a chair, that was sitting safely on the floor. She continued to keep her eyes closed, she sat there relaxing, allowing her energy to regenerate. She grinned. Hiya Sejv, aww I was about to end the little stunt, I promise. She opened her eyes, stood up and turned and looked at him.

She walked over to where she left, her backpack, and reached inside. She pulled out a book, titled Sha Gyfaj yv Pujcmatt. She handed the book over to Sejv. I was over at the black market, and I found this book. It was in a box of books, that I was able to buy cheap. I tried reading it but, I couldn't keep up with it. So, I want you to have it.

She felt inside the pocket of her jeans, and pulled out a tootsie roll. She opened it up and popped it into her mouth. After a moment, it was gone. So, does this mean you will help me pyrokinesis. I promise I pull the same kind of stunts I do with my telekinesis. She said, with a serious look on her face.

  6. Sejv just laughed at her then winked, his hands finishing up his wind spell and calming down the magical energy. He walked into the room and pulled up his own chair, resting his robes and body on the chair. "yeah you ending it was what I was worried about, ending it with a crash wouldnÂ’t be good." He said with a big smile and resting his feet up, a habit which he seemed to have adopted.

Sejv took the book with a smile, she was always getting him little gifts and such. Still he wouldnÂ’t say no, it was rude to reject gifts. "Aww thanks Chz, wish I had got you something now." He said with a sad tone in his voice, feeling as small as her.

But he could make it up with her request, he was a teacher after all and teaching seemed like a good idea. He already had some new ideas in store for her, a book he had recently acquired was incredibly good for mind testing and other crazy ideas.

"And of course I would teach you, its my job after all." A excited look on his face, "among other things."

  7. Chz noticed his sad smile. She reached across the table, and took his hand. Hey don't be sad. I have no use for the book, and I don't hve the room to keep the ones that I don't use, so I bring them here. She said in a cheerful voice.

Chz grinned as he cheered up again. She was excited to finally start learning, how to control and use her pyrokinesis, the right way. She tried not to fidgit in her chair, and finally gave up, and moved to the floor. She looked up at Sejv, with a combined look of excitement and curiosity on her face. Great, so uh what do we do first? She asked.

  8. Sejv shook his head at her again, once more she had decided to do what she wanted with out quite seeing the obvious risk of it. Pryokinesis meant fire, and in a room with wooden chairs and tables, plus books. That really meant it wasnÂ’t the best place for that kind of work. So he walked over to her and grabbed her hand in his, then in a flash they were in the student training room.

A courtyard that was perfect for the flowing and controlling of magical energy, mist and the water even changed colours randomly from the mass amount of energy. You could throw a coin up in the air and actually get a different result each time you did it.

"Well to go some where less flammable would be a start silly." He said with a mixture of worry and laughter in his voice, his book tucked under his arm.

"Now so far what can you do with your flames, I need to know what to teach you first." A curious tone this time, he was very interested in her abilities.

    Out of Character

there is a better description of this place in the kwerty thread

  9. Chz looked around as they entered the training room. She couldn't help but, show some suprise. She could feel the constant flow of energy in the room. She wondered how it was able to flow constantly. She turned her attention back to Sejv. She grinned. Well, duh. I figured we wouldn't start in the other room.

She sat down on the floor, took her sandals off and sat them next to her. She thought about his question, for a moment. What can I do with my flames so far? The only way I can explain is to show you. She stopped speaking, and in the next moment, a wall of fire surrounded her. The problem is that once, I get it started, I can't stop it... She said, praying that the wall of fire didn't move any closer to her.

  10. Sejv just laughed at her sassy, know it all attitude, it was a lie really wheat ever she was thinking didnÂ’t matter. He had seen how she was squirming with excitement about burning things, not stopping to realise if she wasnÂ’t careful it could be here. And by the looking of the current spell she was doing that might be the case.

With a wave of his hand he dispelled the flames with a air spell. "Right, well then. First off that shows your are very much an apprentice, if we want to ever get you into a journeymen status you need to control your flames." He said with a more disciplinarily tone, he could have her making Chz kebabs every day.

"Anyone can make a big flame Chz, but controlling it is the real power. Practice with little flames until you can get them to go out and turn on at will. I think you focus on your telekinesis to much." His more relaxed tone coming on.

"Practice with that for a bit." he said as a flame appeared in his figures and floated over to her. "And by the way this place is very magicaly charged due to its design, you wont get tired easily." A gin on his face again.

  11. Chz listened quietly. She looked at Sejv, and nodded. I do understand, that I am just an apprentice and that I also, give telekinesis more attention than, I probably should. This is why I came for lessons. She said, in a serious tone.

She thought about his words, and watched the little flame floated over to her. She stared at it, for a few minutes, and then shook her head. She concentrated, trying to get the flame to go out. As she was concentrating she landed on her back. She cursed to herself, and sat back up. She cleared her mind, closed her eyes and pictured the flame in her mind. After, a minute the flame cooled down but, it didn't go completely out.

She opened her eyes, and looked at it. She made a face at it, and tried again, this time with her eyes opened. To her amazement the flame went out. She tried to start the flame back up, to no avail. Completely unaware of them, her wings opened behind her. She continued practicing but, seemed unable to get the flame to appear again.

  12. Sejv could see she was struggling and it pained him to see her put effort into something then fail, he could always sympathise with his students when they struggled or couldnÂ’t succeeded, so he tried his best to help them anyway he could. First though he had to note their problems, to fix something you needed to know what you were fixing. And with Chz the problem seemed too be that she was focusing to hard.

"Chz, donÂ’t screw your mind up into a little ball. Instead let your mind flow openly, into the flame, into everything in the room. Then when you want to make the fire, donÂ’t think of the flame, but the little things that make up the air creating heat. Fire will come soon after." He said with a soft voice, trying to get her to relax.

"Fire is a product of heat and friction, control those and fire will be at your beck and call." he said with a big smile, he was going to teach her a lot today. Really test her limits.

  13. Chz stopped for a moment, and listened to Sejv's words. She thought for a few moments, and spoke. Oh, so kinda the same way that I started with telekinesis. She said, speaking her thoughts outloud. She relaxed and closed her eyes. She imagined herself, filling up the room not with flames, not with any element that would create fire but, with coffee.

She smiled to herself, and started drawing a tiny flame in her mind. In the next moment, she opened her eyes and a matching flame appeared in front of her. She looked at it, and the flame went out. She looked again and the flame reappeared.

Without even thinking about it, she reached into her backpack, which had found its way next to her. She grabbed out a bag of tootsie rolls. She reached into the bag grabbed one, opened it and stuck it into her mouth. She continued to watch the flame, this time 5 more of the same size appeared, and were going out and reappearing, in a circle. She looked up at Sejv, and grinned.

  14. Ah what had he created, eating while burning things, she was just nuts. Although now that she had mastered putting fires out then the world would be a little safer, but then again she could also create them. Ah it was just mad, he hoped she just remembered to focus.

"Very good, now for the next lesson. You need to learn how to absorb a fires energy now. DonÂ’t do this with fires you create unless you want your own power back, but its very good if you find some out of control fire." He said with a smile, this would help her quite a bit, and it just so happened to lead onto the next lesson perfectly.

He stole the flames from her control and merged them into one, then added to them. Ending up with quite a big fire burring like a cap site between them.

"Now this time, draw the energy into you. Use it top make you stronger. You can do this if your feeling weak from to much magic." A grin on his face now.

  15. Chz listened and nodded. She shivered slightly when Sejv, stole the flames from her. She stared at the flame, and slowly she felt her skin warm up. She did this gradually, so that it didn't knock her on her arse. Once she had absorbed it all, she looked over at Sejv, and said in a quiet voice, I feel as if I ate way to much, from absorbing the flame, is that typical?

Chz felt some of the energy slowly drain back out of her. So, within a moment she felt back to normal. She looked down at her bag of candy and put it back into her backpack. The thought of eating anymore of it, made her feel slightly nausious.

  16. Sejv just smiled at her, he was pleasantly surprised to see that she managed it first time and effortlessly. It was something that could be used in emergencies for extra energy but also it just looked fancy if you could make flames disappear and get stronger from it.

"Well normally it wouldnÂ’t, but because this room is so charged and you already have extra amounts of energy. Its similar to eating when your already full." He said with a little laugh.

"try anything, like your hardest spell, you should find it easier." He said with a massive grin.

  17. Chz smiled and thought for a minute. sjaa't rlyyn, klyopt ryomka, tkjaunt ujeta ump nez raiymp She said the words, and in the next moment a circle of partial walls appeared. The walls were a combination of fire and blood, and when you looked inside, you could see a single tree. Wow, I believed you but, that convinced me even further. She looked at the results of the spell she cast, and raised an eyebrow. I am glad, that I couldn't pronounce any of the words when I first thought about trying that. I would be such in big trouble.

She looked at Sejv, and smiled. She was curious to see what he would have her do next.

  18. Sejv was fascinated with her mystical spell, he had no idea what it was for or why it could get her in trouble but all the same he loved it. he himself had somewhat lost touch with the more picturesque side of magic, getting lost in the practical attacks and useful spells. he had to admit, fancy things that looked nice were not his specialty.

"Well thatÂ’s certainly impressive though, almost looks like another worlds." He mused softly to himself, not even sure if she heard or not.

But as she looked expectantly at him he just sighed, and stood up. Wobbling a bit though as the blood rushed back to his legs, sending the tingling sensation of pins and needles though him.

"IÂ’m afraid thatÂ’s all I have for you Chz, I think if you can just softly control your fires thats a major step in the right direction. Offering his hand to lift her up, granted his hand was considerably bigger than hers. An offer was an offer.

"You did really well today Chz, I cant wait till you graduate from here and we see your true potential." he said with a broad grin.

  19. Chz grinned and then thought for a moment. She accepted his hand, and pulled herself up. Uh, Sejv. About the spell, I never found a spell to make it disappear after, I cast it. That is one of the reasons I never tried it before. Chz looked at the fake walls, she had cast, they were cool lookin but, she could just picture the look on the principals face, if she seen them. Softly control my fires. Sorta like how I had to learn with telekinesis. It only took pulling a shelf on myself one time, to figure that one out. She laughed as she said the words.

She looked over at Sejv, and then back at the wall, with a look of curiosity. She thought about it first and then said to herself, If I were to stick my hand in this, would it actually burn me?

  20. Sejv smiled at her little dilemma, it become more clear now. But he was a little disappointed especially since the whole lesson had basically revolved around controlling spells and magic. But the wall and tree thing was a little more spectacular then a simple lighter flame.

He listened to her question though a drew a simple conclusion. "Not if you tell it not too." he said with a grin, he was speaking a little metaphorically but not overly cryptic. It all depended if she could control the flame, he was going to wait though until she finished playing with it until he asked her about her plans.

Seemed more appropriate, after all he would hate to have to carry her to the infirmary because he had distracted her and her finger hand been burnt of or something very grizzly.
