Timestamp: Tria (Summer), 81379 47 Character: Seth Khuyt, hsi name is currently being changed so ignore a difference Day: Dusk Jed trudge through the desert towards the temple. His master had sent him of a mission and it bored the hell out of him just walking across the endless dunes. His heavy metal armoured boots slide down the step slopes then trudged up the sides again. His blue and gold armour was a stark contrast to his red dreadlocks that was exposed on his face. His tan fur was showing on his exposed stomach as well yet that seemed to match the desert and his armour nicely. Soon the temple of Hathor came into light as he the sun began tipping below the horizon leaving a golden haze through out the sky that shimmered among the clouds. He grinned when he saw the temple, he didnÂ’t feel like getting their any later and it was nice to make an entrance with twilight behind you. he gathered his dread locks and then pressed the button on his chest that flicked over his helmet that perfectly suited his head. Even his ears were armoured, he didnÂ’t really know what to expect. He hadnÂ’t brought his staff to show he meant peace but the guardians werenÂ’t the best of friends so this was going to be interesting.
Hathor waited in the upper extension of her temple, she hated being up there...her throne wasn't as comfy and it didn't have the magic cooling of the main temple. Kashiko had yet to return so she could send her off again on another mission of murder. Paush seemed to be working heavily on his speech, while Nekhalla was of no entertiament value right at this minute. She tapped lightly on the arm of her golden throne and sighed...she hoped this was importent, because if it wasn't she was bound to do some damage to this priest mentally or physically...she hadn't quite decided yet. Either way, he would be hurting pretty badly. A black panther-like Cucu sat curlled up at her feet purring lightly. She seemed to ignore it comepletly...It didn't matter to her right at this minute.
Jed sighed heavily as he walked towards the temple, the dunes were levelling out somewhat and he was now just walking on the hot flat sands before the temple. He could almost feel the heat off the ground, the sun had been hot all day and now it was just warm with a heavy air that didnÂ’t seem to have any breeze. His boots were leaving heavy marks in the sand yet to him they were light since he had been in them from the age of 18. As about half of the sun disappeared behind the yellow sands, its orange glow had spread far mixing with the blue of the sky. It blended nicely with the yellow of the sands. He let out a gasp of relief as he entered the shade of the temple. Darkness revitalising him. He stood on the threshold of the temple and knocked heavily twice. He was still unsure off what his reception would be but he knew she would listen. Times were hard and they couldnÂ’t be as independent as they used to be.
Hathor heard the knocks and swooshed her hand in the air, it opened the doors to the temple Come in, Come in, speak your piece young one. Time is short before other duties call for both of us. Hathor stared down at her black nails as she waited for him to approch her. She blew the sand off them so that they became the shining dimond daggers that they were. Many a creature feared to be on the receiving ends of those nails. Especially a 16 year old half breed named Nekhalla Vlunn, little did she know she was being trained to become a High Priest to a temple. Not Hathor's but Amunet's.
Jed let out an inward groan at the formalness of all these guardian events. Every time someone met it all had to be done proper or they cut your heart out or something else meant to hurt a lot. He walked forward at a somewhat brisk pace eyeing over the temple of sand. You couldnÂ’t have guessed really. Every temple had sand in it so it didnÂ’t make much difference. ThatÂ’s what made this guardian so powerful. Sand was bloody every where. Then again so was darkness he though with an added smirk. He was suddenly very grateful for his mask that hid his expressions from every one, it also guarded his thought so no unwelcome guests could read his mind. When he got to about 20 paces in front of her he kneeled and bowed his head, making sure he showed the proper respect. He raised his head and his hand thumped his chest and his helmet flicked down. He didnÂ’t like to have it on when he talked and some people didnÂ’t like him having his face hidden. He tail lay flat behind him his tail flame completely out so it would not revile his emotions. "Greeting, my master is sorry for your inconvenience but he needed to discusses urgent matters with you. He is concerned about the large amounts of Impure in the deserts which seem to be increasing, especially in the Tmu Desert." he said with a somewhat annoyed tone. He didnÂ’t like to admit that things were getting worse. This was basically asking for help.
As I am well aware...The infiltation is being handled, if you wish to speed it up slightly I can give you a few of my personal warriors for the time, the long term is being handled accordingly. As you are well aware a revolt is to become soon, and our political leader to become apparent, Umeoral is preparing a speech as we speak. As for warriors, I do belive the Katsu Child shall be enough...Is there anything else? She tapped her fingers impatiently...He had told her nothing she didn't already know, she hated how the others always sent her with information she could see for herself, she did have the powers over the Future afterall.
He frowned slightly at her tapping, he could see that she was impotent yet she hadnÂ’t said anything useful. Is she thought they couldnÂ’t handle fighting then she had forgotten who Seth was. He was one of the eldest and he had a knack for violence. It was the long term he was more interested in. He kept himself kneeled but he was looking at her now, not in the eye but examining her. she looked like she wanted to rip someoneÂ’s head off. He was fairly sure she wouldnÂ’t rip his off though, SethÂ’s support did carry a fair bit of weight. "Ah well we have no problem at all with fighting but erm... my master is getting somewhat curious as to the grand design. He ask if you would enlighten us some more." he said with all the tactful speaking he could muster. In truth Seth had nearly blow up his own temple at how she kept keeping secrets and when would she hurry up and why did she get to choose who became are political leader. Seth said a lot of things when he felt insulted. He held back a sigh. Seth was always rebelling against something, or killing something.
Hathor sighed...Seth always was difficult to please, why she didn't just ignore him, she didn't know. "In essence we will gain power in the Council of the Impures and make it so our deserts are free of those who are not Anubi. We will have our fair share of power in all forms of Government. Oh, and knowing Seth's warriors I do suggest you take my offer...Knowing last time this happened, he ended up with two destroyed temples, several dead priests, and quite a few halfbreeds. I'm sure all the Council will agree we do not want to clean up that mess again." Hathor smirked as she remembered that, he may be one of the oldest, but he definatly wasn't the oldest. He was also one of the more foolish in her opionion, then again he was male.
Jed hid his grin, he was glad his master wasnÂ’t here. He would probably be dead for laughing but it was a funny story and she was showing it in its worst light. But still Seth was a bit over confidant but Jed knew how to handle him and how to fight infinitely better than most people. Specially since Seth had given him the bonus of two souls, it powered him up to crazy levels and meant he could move in a way that wasnÂ’t quite natural. It was like he had a second self just behind him at times, it only showed when he moved but it was like a faint glowing version of himself. He continued to speak, Seth had made him memorise what he wanted said. "My master also has another idea, it involves making the desert bigger." He said finishing off the sentence their. He was trying to catch her attention but it was sort of impossible when she could see the future. He held back another sigh. Least he had got some information.
Hathor sighed. "How badly does he want to do this? Like I have said before, enlarging the desert past its natural boundries would bring suspision on our existance...Therefore, we do not do such things. Though if he deams it neccissary I will allow it, just DO NOT envelop anything the Impures would notice, say a town, or a caravan of traders. Make it gradual also, it would be unessicary to suddenly have sand spring out of nowhere." She remembered an old dragon in the desert did such a thing and couldn't make it stop, he was smuthered to death by his own sand. It stopped flowing when his heart stopped. This 'mountian' could be seen for miles till finnally it blew over.
Jed tried to hid his disappointment, who come he got stuck with the guardian who had to follow orders. He just wanted to smack heads in at times, it was at the point he smiled realising how similar he was to Seth. He was getting a little frustrated, he knew his master was listing through his ears and his masters anger and being told what he was allowed to do was spilling through to him. He barely contained a growl as ye he knew he would get punished if he growled at her yet it was so hard. "Yes my master realises this but he fears we will never regain much power if we can only inhabit such a small part of this world. My master" he stammered for a moment as rage spilled over into him and his eyes flicked black for a moment before he could regain control. He continued again but with a little more composure "my master.. is eager to declare war on them" He said with a little struggle for his consciousness. He could tell that his master wanted to speak personally but he tried to resist and it somewhat cooled his master down. he hated losing control of his body.
Hathor was very much frustrated now. Seth! We are not declaring war on them! I dislike them as much as you but we may not! I repeat may not! Declare war on them, that would be foolishly sacrificing our people! There are other ways of gaining control which are coming to light now. We may have the most powerful summoners and Dark Artists, but many of our people's lives would be wasted...We have was of bartering with them, as we control their prison. It is our magic that keeps them in. If Seth wants violence, he can murder a few caravans or even a town, but there are not enough of us to declare war on them! Hathor was rather angry, Seth was a fool in her eyes. His head was always filled with what he wanted, not what was best for his people. He never thought of the consequences of his actions, including his own discovery and death. This made him weak in her eyes.
Out of Character

Please put the day in with your timestamp. :] Thanks.

He smiled slyly at her anger. He could feel it inside of her from here, yet as future seeing as she may be she didnÂ’t have creativity at times. At the moment they had to listen to her, at the moment she was the most powerful, but that would change, their power was always shifting. It was one of the reasons Seth wanted war, war made him stronger as the darkness in the world increased it made Seth much stronger. The more the world made into peace then the weaker he got. He was currently getting slightly stronger as things were getting bad but still. "Ah yes but you miss understand the nature of war. It doesnÂ’t have to be out right armies walking out towards them. That we would lose, we had something more tactful in mind, sending out specialist servants to infiltrate and sabotage. And to start enforcing our borders a bit more. At the moment we just kill any we find in the desert, what about an organised border patrol." Seth had know she wouldnÂ’t want to, she was always to eager to seek out a peaceful option. This made her weak in SethÂ’s eyes, she instantly assumed that the enemy would play fair and even elect her little puppet. Chances are they would assassinate him or just ignore him. Then their would be war of a kind, more like an invisible war though. He regretfully agreed with her that they didnÂ’t have the man power for all out war but that made them stronger in his eyes. They were small, fast and well hidden, the enemy were big, slow and vulnerable. They wouldnÂ’t be able to move as fast or prove things by their stupid law and their people would object to out right war. They had more advantages then she was willing to admit.
"What do you think Paush is for? THAT is what I am doing! I am no fool, so do not play me like one. A border patrol I due belive would be appropriate, but I will NOT wage an all out war on them...Paush will make them fight each other...That will be their downfall. I know Seth thinks I play peacefully, I don't, what may seem like a peaceful option is alot more violent then HE can see. Then again...I dought he knows the fine art of Manipulation." She was just oozing with insults at this point. Seth was a thorn in her side, he was annoying to say the least to her. He always was power hungery but he did seem to quite know how to get it. He used to have potential in her eyes, but now she just sees him as a hot-headed male.
This time he growled openly, he was begging to get annoyed with her arrogant sexist views and expecting everyone to know what she was thinking. If she didnÂ’t have Horus he would have called her a man hater, it was so obvious they way she but emphasis on HIM or He all the time. What did he think Paush was for, wasting god dam time thatÂ’s what. What they had in mind was much more serious, this Push was just standing in a temple reading history nothing useful. And as usually she was living in the past and not looking around her, she may be able to see the future but she didnÂ’t live in it. They had always been fighting them selves, always, and they just kept sitting back waiting for them to kill each other. Yet as soon as they did another came to take their place, she never god dam looked. Always hiding stuff from other people and keeping them on a self until she could think of a use for them, it was more arrogant than him, he could remember a time anyway when she was just a lower guardian. He wanted to rip all their souls out, but then again he wanted her angry so things were working well if a little bit too well. "Well I can see IÂ’m wasting my time here, its obvious things havenÂ’t changed. Send word when your ready to start your plan, we will be waiting." he said with extreme annoyance. He stood up and thumped his chest again, he helmet flipped over his face, segments layering over for a perfect fit. Their time would come, was coming then their would be a power shift. They wouldnÂ’t be so disrespected anymore, she was a terrible leader of the guardians. Horus did a better job when everything was light. Light was morphing a bit around him were a very faint aura of darkness was absorbing it right now. His mission was accomplished now, she was angry enough. He should better leave before things got ugly.
"Oh and due remind dear Seth that he is still on thin ice with the council as he can't seem to keep his people under control...Not to mention his head." She added that last note with spite in it. He really was an annoyance, he didn't think about his actions. He didn't even think about his people! The oppiurtunity has now arissen for a revolt, it never was there before...He just doesn't get it...Change is slow and cannot be rushed, now though, it can be nudged a bit.
He looked at her for a moment, if she really thought he cared about the council then he would have been a good little boy, all they could really do was ignore him and leave him out of their plans, well the ones that did as their told would anyway. But he had more allies on it than she knew, he was only rude to her and Horus. He almost laughed in her face at one point though, she hadnÂ’t been to his territory for a long time, either that or he spies were blind. The people were more than happy, they were throwing a festival in his honour and they hadnÂ’t done anything he hadnÂ’t wanted them too. And besides he was mainly supervising them building a new temple. Yet to be fair to her the festival did involve a lot of blood of the enemy but that was because was because they knew he liked that. They were under perfect control, he sighed, she was getting confused with the history and now again. He still didnÂ’t have faith in her revolt, even if every Anubi rose up against them they wouldnÂ’t still be enough. Not to mention the graders and their plans, they wouldnÂ’t allow a Anubi on the council yet he knew that was her plan, then she was going to point that fact out to everyone and build up hate against the graders and such like. What she wasnÂ’t taking into account was half breeds, not only did they look like us many of them didnÂ’t give a crap about purity. The enemy would just gather half breeds and pose them as Anubi in favour of the graders. He dint have faith in her revolt at all. It was shame Seth did though, he just thought it was stupid. As for losing his head, well she should look in the mirror. From what he could see she was getting pretty close to losing her own. And if she meant it as a threat then she was over stepping her self. If she tried to kill another guardian not only was it extremely difficult even for someone with her powers. But she would lose all support for her actions, the other guardians would feel very threatened and turn against her. But he didnÂ’t need to tell her this, she could see the future so she knew he was right. Instead he did what he thought was a win win situation. He nodded then turned around and walked down the temple walk way towards the exit without saying the proper goodbyes. If she did nothing (which he doubted) he would have defied her in a small way, which was always fun. And if she lost her head as she put it and hurt him, he would make her look hypocritical and stupid. Although the later might hurt, a lot. She wouldnÂ’t kill him though. She would probably want him to go crawling back to his master and tell him everything she had done. He smiled inside his helmet, he was grinning to himself about how many enemies she really had for her power. She was a fool if she thought he was the only power hungry guardian, but at the moment the were all bound to work together. They needed the strength of all the guardians to make this revolt work. It was a good plan he would admit grudgingly, he had know most of the details anyway. He just liked going over their and pissing her off.
As Jed left, Kashiko entered, she didn't trust him at all and pinned him against a wall, hand at his throut. "What buisness do you have here Shova!" She was rather protective of Hathor's temple, and was generally disgusted by Seth...found him a hinderance in anything, she had worked with several of his warriors and ended up killing them in the end. They were that useless to her. Hathor sighed "Kashiko, he's leaving, he wouldn't be a danger to the temple anyway...Nekhalla could defeat him if she deemed it neccisary. That would be high praise for him though." Kashiko smirked and then tossed him to the side. She then approched Hathor and kneeled "The intruders have been elimintated" "The gem" "Right here." Kashiko pulled out a blood red gem that glowed, Hathor took it from her and smirked "You did well Kashiko, you did well..."
He growled when she had grabbed him by the throat. The only reason he had let her is that he knew he would get yelled at but still he needed something anyway. If it was a fair fight it would have been much more fun. He was seething when she let go. He stared at her however when she gave the gem to Hathor, knowledge was power after all. Seems like they had another part of the puzzle. He muttered under his breath as he started walking again “Pei baoq…" he said using the old tongue. He began to walk down the corridor towards the exit as his second soul shimmered around him as light was being faded away. He laughed inside his head, intruder eliminated indeed. He would give them a leaving present just so they got the message that things had changed a bit sooner than she thought. They were forgetting he was a high priest and he was fully trained unlike some people, so he knew how to use the powers of a god and protect himself. As he walked past the exit he thumped the temple wall with his hand, letting out his anger in an explosion of darkness around his fist. It was as for a tiny moment his had was just a lump or pure darkness, when it hit the wall it smashed over the wall like a rock but made a no sound except for a slight bubbling. His hand smashed into the wall straight after and cracked the temple wall, part of one of the smooth walls chipped slightly and other was completely dissolved. Not bad considering it was just a thump. He carried on walking and disappeared into the darkness letting his body shift into pure darkness as it glided over the sands to the dark temple. The true dark temple. He was as wide as the night itself as he used his priest powers to report to his master to proceed as planned. He hand part of that Kashikos hair now as well, they were foolish and more arrogant than anyone if they thought that let her grab him without resistance for any random reason. AS he reached the dark temple he floated in and reformed himself back. He need to report. [OOC] and that’s the end really, kinda over now lol and don’t power play me lol specially in such a boring way :P
