Umeoral stood up from his chair in the Priest's chamber of the sanctuary. He straightened out all his dress. Full High Priest's garb was always a pain for him, Nothing quite fit right, alot of it had been pinned or taken in earlier that morning. He had lost some wieght from fighting, so nothing fit right anymore. All the Guardians or their represenitives would be present today, except for Hathor as she was not required as he was making the speech and it was her decree that he was here today.

He exited the chambers and made his way up to the podium at the top of the raised platform, the whole room had been touched up the week before, every last detail had been restored to prestine condition, down to the gold designs on the chairs. On each side of the podium there were 6 collums, each topped with a lotus flower design. They were painted with the colors of twelve of the Guardians, The thirteenth, Hathor, was represented by a painted cabinet behind him. She was the most powerful Guardian at this time, so she got the honor of having her colors on the Cabinet holding the most powerful gems in all the Anubi lands.

After the roar of the crowd died down he started his speech in clear crisp Anubian.

<span style='color:red'>To all those in the crowd today, I address you on behalf of my Mistress Hathor. A great misdeed has befallen her land, over 1,000 of out people have died in the past few months due to a murderous attack on Hathor's own temple. At least a hundred of my own priests have been killed, countless more may die from infected wounds. They did not spare the women and children, they were hit the hardest...as most are not trained to fight. Even with our new alliance with the clan of Takula headed by Kaieta Ultima, we did not win easily. I do not know if I can consider it a win at all with so many dead.

Hathor is angry, as any Guardian in their own right should be. And on her behalf I ask all of you, to think about what you can do for your people, women included. We need warriors to defend ourselves, new priests must be trained. You may not have magical skills, but you still can train as a defender of your city. Everyone must learn to defend themselves, we must not let this happen again! This was senseless murder! I watched with my own eyes as houses were burned, women were cut in half, children stabbed. The horrors my eyes have seen! This was the worst of it! Hathor will have this no more, Amunet has joined her in this opinion. I will be leading a political life in the world of the outside now, to have our opinion known. Our displeasure in the lack of restraint they have shown while we have asked no more then to be left alone. We will not stand for this! This will never happen again! Over my body will they ever make it inside the walls of any town, city, or village! We will survive this! We survived the Plague, this is nothing compared to that! This is our destiny, now embrass it.

    Thank You</span>

With that he exited the room and headed back to the Priest's chambers again, sitting down, and then starting on his next speech.

  2. [OOC] I will be playing with two of my characters, they are both Anubi. I will be useing Cero- "Cero" Is what his family and close friends call him, to the Anubi he is Kajy and to other pendrangons not Anubin he is Saxu. Refer to him accordingly... and Wepwawet- to the other Guardians she is mostly called Wep and to Cero she is Nenotoki (the name of his dead sister)

Side Note: Cero and Wepwawet are related "storta" becuase many moons ago Wepwawet is thought to have stolen both the image and the soul of his dead sister. I don't know if we'd be willing to get into this or not but, I just thought I'd let everyone know.

    In Character: Wep

Wepwawet followed Umeoral as he headed Priest's chambers. They were fairly well acquainted being that he was Hathor's high priest. She caught stride with him, wearing hardly anything as usual and flaunting her skinny Anubin body.

<span style='color:blue'>"Thats it?"</span> She asked him her face dark, her voice for once had no sarcasim in it. <span style='color:blue'>"Are people are dieing, and you just told them it would get worse..." </span>She shook her head earrings clanking together, <span style='color:blue'>"That just dosen't seem right." </span>Wepwawet rarely showed this much passion in anything she was among the youngest Guardians and her maturity level was often something to be questioned. But the look on her face made all of that seem far away.

    Cero:

Towards the back of the sanctuary a large back arden was leaning on his hanches to get a better view. He had listened to the speech and found that it had touched him. He turned to a pale rouge Anubi next to him, <span style='color:gray'>"I don't understand what they want us to do...Just wait?"</span> The red thill gravely nodded and then paused pointing to the gold markings on his golden collar. She said nothing be touched them and looked him in the eyes.

She whispered, <span style='color:pink'>"So the Outcast Prince returns..." </span> She must have been a seer because she tapped into his brain and showed him images of his people and their deaths. Pictures of the Aboo-sen war flooded his mind...blood and killing...so much of it. <span style='color:pink'>"Will you let that happen to us too?"</span>

He pushed away from her, feeling startled. He turned from her and ran towards the front of the mob. He was large for an Anubi and had to crouch down so his mass didn't slow him in such a crowd. He stumbled finding the hallway the Priest's had disapeared down.

He was confused, so wait if he did find the Guardians? What would he tell them? he knew he wanted to help but... If they should ask of his past, he could be arrested for treason or worse. He frowned and spoke aloud,<span style='color:gray'> "I can't let them down again even if they arn't my people... we are still of the same race."</span> He knocked at the door.

<table class='ooc'><tr><td>Well, for now I guess I'll do this, I've been starting to go to the library, so I can post some more until my compy is fixed.

    Who:Qebehsenuef</td></tr></table>

Qebeh rose from her spot on a worn chair, her rather elegant black dress shimmered when the sun hit it. She shook her head with a sigh, this was pathetic, did the anubi get weaker since she was born? She pulled the golden hairpin out of her hair and tucked it away in a bag made from some kind of reptile skin, and instead, pulled out a silver necklace with a black onyx crescent moon on it, and two onyx crescent moon earrings. After putting them on she tilted her head back, and let the sun hit her face. She watched the other gaurdian Wepwawet, disappear behind the priest Umeoral, and into the hall. The she noticed the rather large black Arden, that seemed vaugely familiar, crawl his way through the crowd. And walk up to the door.

This generation of anubi were fools, thinking a plague would stop their race, what idiots.

She pushed her way through the mob until she came the stairs, and walked up them, until she came to the door, where the black Arden was standing. She looked down at him, now that she thought of it he was familiar, but from where? She shrugged and pulled the door open, but not before whispering in the Arden's ear, "<span style='color:darkred'>If you have business with the priest and the female gaurdian, follow me, but close the door behind you.</span>" She pulled the door open, and walked briskly down the hall catching up to Umeoral and Wep, she looked between the two, and said nothing for a few more steps.]

Sometimes this generation of preists weirded her out, the way they acted.

"<span style='color:darkred'>So, it's just like that, to me, the way you put it was, we're all going to die, but don't panic. It makes my job alot harden when you say stuff like that. No, not my job, the job of all the gaurdians, who do you think you are preist, lord of the anubi? And what's up with allying to those brutish takula, what if they attack? I know a whole lot of people who wouldn't be to happy if their families got killed, and I had to come take care of that, they would be even more upset when they find out they were killed by takula!</span>" she took a deep breath after saying that, feeling as if she had gotten alot of anger out, as she had done.

  4. ((Sorry for the delayed response, My little Vincent was sick so I was nursing him back to health. EDIT: Sry didn't see ya there ^^'))

Umeoral turned to the upish Quebeh.

<span style='color:red'>The Takula we allied with will not attack, Hathor has full control over their leader. Not only that, but she is easily killed if nessicary. As for us all dieing, we will not. The point of these measures is to prevent that, if you have a problem with it talk to My Lady. The Takula herself is Kaieta Ultima, who is partially one of Hathor's old summons. There is more going on here than you can understand, the point is to find the one who started the plague, and get some outside help in ending it. Bickering with me will get you no where.</span>

He removed the heavy collar from his neck and placed his less formal one on. On top of that he thru his light cloak He stood up and looked at her.

<span style='color:red'>It will work out in the end, just trust Hathor on this one...</span>

    He turned to Wep.

<span style='color:red'>Everything has to get worse before it can get better, The only thing that will get worse it there will be and upping in rigor in training procedures for both Priests and Warriors.</span>
